Prompt #155 - Regina finds out through her jealousy that she actually likes Robin more than just a friend

Hope you like it!!

More than just friends:

Regina pushed her bedroom door closed with as much force as she had, making the sound echo through the apartment. Then, with heavy steps she moved to her bed, letting her body fall forward, ending with her head between the pillows and exhaling loudly.

In the leaving room, stood a confused Robin on the couch.

He had been there already when Regina had entered their shared apartment, the one the two best friends had rented together when they got into the same college, the year before.

The brunette didn't even give him time to great her, looking at the young man and Marian, his colleague who was there with him finishing one of the assignments they had for their social studies class, and storming out of the room into her bedroom.

He heard the door being closed with a loud bang and his eyes widened.

"Maybe it's best if you go now, we can finish this tomorrow." The blue-eyed man said barely looking at the girl sitting next to him, too concerned with his best friend to care about being polite.

He didn't leave her time to react, instead, standing up and waiting for her to do the same.

The young woman, looked up for a few seconds seeming shocked, but Robin couldn't care less.

"Yeah, of course." Marian said, finally recovering from the shock and moving her things from the coffee table into her bag. "I'll see you tomorrow, then." She leaned forward to great him goodbye with a kiss on the cheek and was off the door, almost being pushed by her colleague.

Robin was quick closing the door and making his way to Regina's bedroom. Knocking lightly, he waited for her response, when none came he knocked again.

"Regina, is everything alright, love." He spoke, concern in his voice.

"I'm fine, I want to be alone." She screamed, her voice being muffled by the pillows.

"You know that won't work with me, don't you?" He replied. "Can I please come in?"

"If you must…" It took him no time to open the door, that she furtunetly hadn't locked and get inside. Once inside, he couldn't help but chuckle upon seeing her, all spread on the bed, her head buried between the too many pillows she likes to have on top of it and that he had always teased her about.

"What's wrong, love?" He asked sitting on her bed. His hand went to her back where he was drawing soft caresses.

She shook her body. "Don't touch me." She spoke sternly.

Regina knew she had no right to be upset, but the petite brunette couldn't help it. She had entered her own house to see that slut all over her best friend, her body almost on top of his. He shouldn't do that where she could see him, it wasn't fair. It was his fault she was like this.

The young woman had always felt strongly for her best friend, they had met in elementary school, when his family moved to the Estates, and they have been inseparable since then, sharing every detail of their lives with the other, but it wasn't until that very moment that she finally had come to terms with her feelings…

Robin wasn't just her best friend, he was her better half, the one she could go to whenever she needed him, her confident…and now she was losing him to Marian.

The brunette couldn't really blame her, Robin was handsome and a great person, everything one could ask for in a boyfriend.

He stopped his movements but left his hand in the same place, in the middle of her back.

"Want to tell me what got you this upset?" He was speaking softly and she could hear the concern in his voice, and loved him even more for it.

Finally, she lifted her head from the pillows and faced her best friend with a sad frown written on her face.

"You, you got me this upset." At his confused expression she continued. "I don't want to come home to see you making out in my couch, at least do that in your bedroom."

His expression changed abruptly, from confusion to a smirk, dimples on display.

"Making out?" Regina could hear the amusement on his voice and it infuriated even more, making the brunette quickly reach for a pillow and hit him across the face.

He laughed and took her hand in his so she couldn't do it again.

"Regina, love, I wasn't making out on our couch." He spoke calmly, trying to control his laughter. "Marian made a move on me, she tried to kiss me, but I would never let her."

She huffed in disbelieve. "Why wouldn't you?" Rolling her eyes. "She's pretty, and smart, and she's…"

"She isn't you." Robin interrupted her babbling leaving her speechless.

"What?" Her eyes where widened in shook, what was he saying?

"She isn't you, Regina." He let go of her hand and moved his so it was on her cheek, his thumb caressing her.

"Robin…" It came out as a whisper.

"When are you going to understand that you're the one that I like, the one that I love?"

He was watching her intently, the young man had known he liked his best friend as more than friends for a very long time, he couldn't put his finger on the exact moment, he could almost say, he had loved her since ever, but have always been too afraid to admit his feeling for her.

When no one answer came he started to worry, he shouldn't have said anything, now he had ruined everything they have.

Upon seeing his panic expression, she moved forward, that wouldn't do, not at all.

The brown-eyed woman moved her left hand behind his head and pulled him to her, closing her eyes and locking their lips together.

The kiss they shared was like no other she had ever experienced, it send a shiver though her body, awakening every single cell of it.

His hands moved instinctively to her hair, massaging her scalp.

They kissed passionately for several moments until the need for air was too much. Once their lips broke apart, he joined their foreheads together.

"That was…" "Amazing" She finished for him. "Yes." He chuckled.

"The reason I ran in here was because I couldn't stand the thought of seeing you with another woman." Regina said, biting her lower lip shyly. "I love you, Robin." He couldn't help but kiss her again after hearing that confection.

Both of them were smiling like crazy.

"I don't want anyone but you, my love." He said seriously, he wanted her to know he was speaking the truth, it was a promise he was making to her, that he'd never love any other woman as much as he loves her.

"Good, because I don't want anyone but you, either." They were about to kiss again when she pulled back abruptly.

"And I don't want that Marian…" She made a face of disgust. "In this house again."

"Never." He promised, finally joining their lips together again.

This kiss was the beging of a beautiful new adventure.
