A/N: Hey everyone! So I actually finished this SUPER fast lol. Yes, this is the last chapter, and it's honestly bittersweet. I have looked at the poll, and most of you think the baby is a boy! Let's see if you're right ;). Oh, also please stick around at the end for a special note from me. Enjoy!

"One…two…three…keep going, you're almost there."

Rita squeezed her husband's hand, almost crushing it with her strength. She pushed as hard as she could, putting the pressure onto her pelvis.

"Ow, ow, y-you can do it, honey," Lynn said, encouraging her while trying to ignore the pain in his hand.

"Eight…nine…ten…and stop"

She laid back, her sweaty hair resting on the pillow. She felt his hands caressing her face.

"You're doing so good, she's almost here," he said.

"I-I can't do it," she said, out of breath. "I'm too tired."

Lynn knelt down, so that he was looking at his wife directly in the face. "Yes, you can, I believe in you," he began. "Just remember this: Five minutes of pain for a lifetime of happiness."

"Okay, Rita, I need you to push one more time for me, okay?"

She nodded, and pushed as hard as she could. The screams of his wife didn't bother him, as he was too fixated on watching his daughter come into the world.

"Okay, Dad, do you wanna look?"

He stepped over to the end of the table, and what he saw brought him to tears. The baby's head was nearly out, just dangling in the doctor's hands.

"Keep going, here she comes."

With one last push, he watched as the doctor pulled his daughter out. Her small, squished face looking up at him.

The doctor laid her on top of Rita's chest, and she began to cry.

"I can't believe it…here she is," she sobbed as she rubbed the baby's soft, blonde hair.

A nurse came over to suction her eyes and mouth. She let out a cry that was like music to the new parents' ears.

He knelt down beside his wife, caressing the baby's face. "She's so beautiful," he said, wiping a tear from his eye.

Rita grabbed one of her feet. "Look at her little webbed feet."

His eyes widened. "My cousin had those too," he said. "And she has the cone head as well."

"It's okay," Rita said, hugging her to her chest. "She's perfect."

The doctor handed him a pair of scissors, and allowed him to cut the cord. Once she was all cleaned up and swaddled, she was given back to the parents.

Rita held the tiny newborn in her arms, inspecting every piece of her.

"She has your nose," she said, placing a finger on the baby's nose.

"Well, she has your eyes," he said.

The baby responded by opening her eyes.

He waved a hand in front of her face. "Hi baby, I'm your daddy."

She responded by letting out a soft gurgle, which made them burst into tears again.

The new Mom wiped her eyes. "I know what we should name her," she said, looking at her husband.

He rubbed her hair. "I'll go with whatever you pick."

She looked back to the baby, and said with a trembling smile, "Lori."

Lynn placed a kiss on her lips. "Lori. Lori Loud," he kissed the baby's cheek. "I love the sound of that."

"Breathe, honey, just breathe."

Lori took a few deep breaths, as the contraction began to pass. She laid her head back on the pillow, feeling the hands of her mother stroking her face.

"Ow, that one hurt," she said, closing her eyes.

"They will hurt, and when the baby is about to come, they'll get worse," said a voice.

A nurse walked up to the machines next to the bed. "Oh, sorry I didn't introduce myself, I'm Natalie, I'll be your nurse for this entire time." She inspected the machines, and pointed to one. "You see this one? It shows both your heartbeat and your baby's." There were two sets of green lines, both with large numbers. The lines were going up and down. "We use this to check for signs of stress in the baby, and you too. So far, everything looks fine."

Two other women walked in. "Sorry we're late, traffic was awful."

"That's alright," Natalie said. "These are my nursing students, Jackie and Valerie. They'll be assisting me today."

They waved to Lori.

She smiled, and waved back.

Natalie turned to look at her. "Well, everything looks good here, I'll be back to check up on you soon, okay?" She pointed to a button on the bed. "You can also use this if you need anything, and one of us will come."

They all left the room, and she turned to her mother. "Ugh, where is Bobby? I'm starving!"

Rita sat down in a chair next to the bed. "I'm sure he'll be back soon," she rubbed Lori's hair. "You're doing so good, you know that?"

"Thanks, Mom, I really need it," she said, rubbing her belly. "I just want this baby out."

Her mom laughed. "They'll be here soon, and then you can finally relax."

Lori closed her eyes. "I sure hope so."

They heard the door open, and Bobby walked in with two brown bags.

"Hey, Babe, sorry it took so long," he said, handing a bag to Lori. "The line at Burpin Burger was so long, they were having a discount today or something. Anyway, I got your favorite: a Burpin double and curly fries."

Her mouth watered as she grabbed the food from him. "Thank you so much, Boo Boo Bear," she said, sticking a handful of fries in her mouth.

He sat down next to her, and grabbed his own fries. "Oh, your family is here," he said. "They're in the waiting room."

"Oh, that's great," Lori said. "What about yours?"

"Lincoln called Ronnie Anne, and she said that they'll be here soon," he said.

"Good-ah ah ah!", she set her food down and grabbed Bobby's hand. "Oh, there's another one."

Listening to her groan in pain made his heart hurt. There was a cinch of guilt knowing that he did this to her.

"Breathe, Lori, it's okay," her mom said.

Bobby rubbed her hair. "You can do it," she let out a few deep breaths. "There ya go."

Once she calmed down, she went back to her food. She felt Bobby squeeze her hand, and looked at him. His face made her heart sink.

He had a few tears in his eyes, his head slightly down.

She reached out to touch his face. "Boo Boo Bear…what's the matter?"

He sniffled. "I'm sorry, Babe, I just…I…", he turned to her. "Seeing you in pain, it hurts me, and knowing it's because of me, that makes me upset."

Lori frowned, and placed a hand to her chest. "Oh, Bobby, come here," she reached out her arms.

He stood up, and wrapped his arms around her, feeling her warmth as she did the same. "It's okay, it's not your fault," she said, rubbing his back.

She listened to his little cries as she tried to comfort him. "I-I'm sorry," he said, his voice shaky.

Lori pulled away to look at his face. "It's okay, the important thing is that you're here, helping me, supporting me."

He wiped his nose. "You're right, I am here," he said. "I just hate seeing you like this."

"It'll be over soon, though the doctor said it might take awhile."

He gave her a kiss. "I'll be here the whole way."

The labor and delivery ward of Royal Woods General was quiet. A little too quiet for the Louds' liking.

They had only been there for about half an hour, and already the kids were bored out of their minds.

"Daaaaddddyyy!", Lola said, pulling on her dad's pants. "I'm bored!"

He looked up from the magazine he was browsing. "You've been here before, honey, you know where they keep the toys," he said, pointing to a small room in the corner.

"Ughhh," the six year old slouched her shoulders. "Those toys are boring," she crossed her arms.

Lynn Sr sighed at his daughter's grouchiness. "Well, I don't know what else to tell you, sweetie, we're gonna be here awhile."

She climbed into a seat next to him, and grumbled to herself.

"Aww, don't look so down, little sis," Luna said, shooting her a grin. "There's a lotta cool stuff to do here," she picked up a kids' magazine. "I used to love these when I was a kid. Why don't you give it a look?"

Lola rolled her eyes and grabbed the magazine from her sister. She flipped through it. It was filled with activity pages, such as quizzes and word search puzzles.

She huffed. "Boooooring." She continued to look through the pages until she found one that caught her eye. She gasped. "They have a section for pageant dresses?!", she said, her eyes brightening.

Seeing that her sister was happy, Luna shot her a thumbs up. She reached into her bag and pulled out her headphones. Turning on her favorite playlist, she decided to lay her head back and relax.

"Gee, think you brought enough comics, Linc?", Lynn said as she looked through the stack of books sitting on the table.

Lincoln looked up from the one he was reading. "Well, I don't know how long we'll be here, so I thought I'd bring all of them. Just in case."

She gave him a punch on the arm. "Ha! Nerd," she leaned back in her chair.

"Hey, Lynn, can you help me with something?", Leni said, walking over to her.

"Sure, what is it?"

Leni was frantic. "I tried to buy a snack, and the machine took my money, but won't give me my snack."

Her sister rolled up her sleeves. "Ooh, it's one of those wise guys, eh? Well you've come to the right person."

She got up and let Leni lead her to the machine.

"See! I tried to get those chips and it won't give it to me," Leni said, pointing to the bag of chips.

"I got this, sis, don't worry." She walked up to the machine, and gave it a kick. Then another one. It still wouldn't budge.

"Oh, so you wanna play that game, huh?" She began to shake the machine.

"Careful, Lynn! It might fall!", Leni put her hands on her sister's back.

"Step back, Leni. I got this."

After a few minutes, she set the machine down with a clank. She watched as the bag of chips fell down into the slot.

Wiping the sweat off her forehead, she spoke. "There we go," she knelt down and reached into the slot, grabbing the bag of chips.

Leni squealed as she grabbed her chips. "Thank you so much, Lynn! I was starving."

The athlete popped her back. "No problem, though I think I need to go sit down for a bit."

They walked back to the waiting area to see their father sleeping. It was a lot quieter than it had been. They looked around. Uh oh. Most of their siblings were gone it seemed. Only Luna, Lincoln, and Lola remained in their seats.

"Uh, Linky?"

Lincoln looked up to see his sisters standing before him. "Yeah?"

"Where did our sisters go?", Leni asked.

He looked around. They were nowhere in sight. "Umm I don't know."

"Well, why are you just sitting there for? We've gotta find them!", Lynn said.

He sighed and put his comic down. "Okay, just let me put these in a safe place first." He took out his bag, and slid the entire pile inside, then stood up. "Let's go find our sisters."

Rita's ears rang as her daughter screamed once again.

"You can do it, Lori, come on it's almost over," Natalie said, holding her hand. "How are you doing, Dad?"

Bobby squinted his eyes. "I-I'm okay, she's hurting my hand."

The contraction passed, and Jackie wiped the sweat off Lori's forehead with a wet cloth. "Thank you so much," she said. She looked over at her boyfriend, who was looking at his swollen hand.

"Oh, Boo Boo Bear I'm so sorry," she said. "Here, let me see," she grabbed his hand, giving it a kiss. "There, that should make it better."

He smiled. "It did, thanks. Though maybe you should squeeze this pillow instead." He handed her a small pillow.

"Knock, knock," Dr. Roth said as she walked in the room. "How are you doing, Lori?"

"I'm okay…I guess," she said, out of breath.

"That's perfectly fine, let's have a look, shall we?" She sat down on a stool at the end of the bed, and stuck her hand into Lori's birth canal.

She grabbed Bobby's hand as it made her fidget. He responded by rubbing it with his thumb.

"Wow, you're about six centimeters already," she said. "It won't be much longer now."

"Really?", Bobby said, excited.

The doctor nodded. "Yep, if everything goes well, we should have a baby in the next couple hours."

Lori and Bobby both grinned. "Oh, that's great!", he said.

"Oh, I meant to ask," Dr Roth said, standing up. "Do you want the epidural? You can get it now if you want, but it may slow your labor."

Lori looked at her mom. "What do you think?"

"It's up to you, sweetie. I've done it with and without," she said.

"Which was harder?"

Her mom laughed. "Neither one is easy, really."

She looked at Bobby. "What do you think?"

He rubbed her hair. "I'm with your mom. It's up to you," he said. "But no matter what you choose, I'll support you."

She took a moment to think, and looked back at the doctor. "I think…I think I want to try and go natural."

Dr. Roth nodded. "Alright, if that's what you want. I have to go check on my other patients. Let me know if you need anything."

She left the room, and Bobby looked at his girlfriend.

"You really wanna do this, Babe?", he asked.

She looked down at her belly. "Yeah, I do. Anything to get this baby out."

"Luan? Lucy? Lily!"

Leni, Lynn, and Lincoln walked down the halls of the hospital, looking for their missing siblings.

"Where could they be?", Lynn said, looking under a bench.

"Rawr!"

"Ah!", Lincoln screamed as someone jumped on top of him. He took a closer look. "Lana? Is that you?"

Lana was sitting on top of him. The six year old was wearing a hospital gown, complete with gloves and a mask. "I'm not Lana! I'm a zombie!", she said, wrapping her arms around him. "Now let me eat your brains!"

He laughed as his sister tickled him. "Okay! Okay! That's enough!", he said, grabbing her and sitting her in his lap. "We've gotta find the rest of our sisters before they get in trouble."

"Oh! Can I help?", she asked excitedly.

"Of course," he stood up, and set her on the ground. "Come on, let's go."

They made their way through the hospital, searching every section they were allowed access.

"It appears as though your diagnosis is off."

Lincoln stopped. "Wait guys, did you hear that?"

His sisters stopped to listen to the voice.

"But Dr. Loud, I've done every test, and they all turned up positive."

He poked his head in the room. There stood Lisa, conversing with a doctor.

"That is where you are wrong," she said, pointing to something on his paper. "You failed to do a Complete Blood Count, resulting in your patient having a false diagnosis."

The doctor stared at his sheet, his eyes wide. "Oh goodness, you're right," he said. "I apologize, Dr. Loud, I will schedule this test immediately."

"No worries, now if you'll excuse me, I must be on my way."

She jumped down from her stool, and headed for the door. She didn't get far, as she bumped into Lincoln.

"Lisa, what are you doing?!"

"I was merely helping out this doctor. I do have a PhD, ya know," she said, adjusting her glasses.

"Well stop it, our sisters are missing and if we don't find them soon, we might get kicked out and you know what that means," her brother told her, putting his hands on his hips.

"We'll get kicked out, rendering us unable to meet our new niece or nephew," she said.

He stared at her, dumbfounded. "Wow, you are good."

She shrugged. "Considering our family history, it's common sense."

Lincoln grabbed her hand. "I see your point, now come on!"

They continued on their search, hoping to find their sisters in time for the birth.

They found Luan telling jokes to some patients, Lucy was inspecting the room where they keep the extra pints of blood, and Lily had somehow made her way into the nursery to steal a teddy bear.

Making their way back to the maternity ward, Lincoln heard a familiar voice.

"How much longer will it be?"

"My wife just came out, she said she's about ready to push."

"Oh really?! That's great!"

"Ronnie Anne!", he yelled as he ran up to her, giving her a hug. "You finally made it!"

She hugged him back. "Yeah, finally. The traffic outside is horrible. Did you know Burpin Burger is having a discount day?"

Lynn Sr. stood up. "There you kids are! You had me worried sick."

"Dada! Dada!", Lily said from Leni's arms.

"Aw, come here sweetie," he said as he grabbed her.

"We're sorry, Dad," Lincoln began. "You fell asleep, and the others ran off so Lynn, Leni, and I went to find them.

His dad looked relieved. "Well, I'm glad you did, thanks guys," he said. "Your mother just came out, she said the baby will be here soon."

Lincoln watched as his sisters began to cheer, prompting a "shhh" from their father.

"Easy, kids, easy, remember where you are."

"Hey, Lincoln!"

He turned around to see CJ standing next to him, holding his plastic sword. "Wanna play pirates?"

He smiled, and politely declined. "I'd love to, buddy, but how about we do something a bit more quiet." He went over to his bag and grabbed some comic books. "Like reading comics! Ever heard of Ace Savvy?"

CJ looked confused, but happily obliged.

"I'll read some, too," Ronnie Anne said, grabbing a book. "How about we all read together?"

"Sounds good to me!", Lincoln said.

Almost seven hours had passed since Lori has went into labor, and now it was the moment of truth.

Dr. Roth walked in, wearing a medical coat and gloves.

"Alright Lori, let's check you." She sat down at her stool at the end of the bed, sticking her hand to check Lori's cervix. "Oh yeah, you're ready. I can feel a head."

Lori lifted her head up. "Really?"

The doctor nodded. "Yep, let me go get the nurses and we'll get started."

Bobby smiled. "You hear that, Babe? The baby is almost here."

She groaned. "Finally, I-I'm so tired, I'm ready to sleep."

He caressed her face. "I know, I know, you'll be able to soon."

Dr. Roth walked in with Natalie, who had Jackie and Valerie following close behind her.

"Alright, here we go," she looked at Rita. "Does Grandma wanna hold a leg?"

She stood up. "I'd love to." She walked down to the end of the bed, grabbing one of Lori's legs.

The other one was being held by Jackie, while Valerie stood by Lori's head, giving her sips of water.

Bobby grabbed her hand. "You can do this, Lori, I'll be right here."

Dr. Roth looked up at Lori. "Alright, I'll count to ten, and I want you to push as hard as you can, okay?"

She nodded.

"Okay, one…two…"

As the doctor counted, Lori pushed, putting all the pressure on her pelvis.

Bobby squinted as he heard her scream.

"Nine…ten…that was good," the doctor said. "Okay, and another one. One…two…"

A few minutes passed, with Lori pushing and screaming as hard as she could.

"Nine…ten…and stop."

She fell back onto her pillow, sweat dripping down her face. Valerie offered her water, which she pushed away.

"Okay, Lori, I can see the head," Dr Roth said. "I just need you to push one more time, okay?"

She closed her eyes, shaking her head. "I-I can't, I'm too tired," she said, her breathing heavy.

Bobby scooted in closer to her. "Hey, it's okay, you're so close, Babe," he said, wiping the sweat off her face. "You can do it."

"N-No I can't," she said, tears dripping down her face. "I just can't."

Rita looked at Valerie. "Hey, will you hold her leg for me?"

The girl nodded, and they switched places.

Rita knelt down next to her daughter, and began stroking her hair. "Lori, honey, you're doing so good, you know that? The baby is right there, you just need to push one more time."

Lori shook her head. "No, I can't, Mom, I can't."

She frowned. All the years she spent having her babies, she never thought about the times when she'd see them in pain like this. So tired, so stressed out. If there was one thing she knew about her babies though, is that they were strong.

Rita grabbed her daughter's hand. "I know you're tired, it's tough. But listen to me, Lori, you are so strong. You never let anything get you down."

"I remember when you were born, I felt this way too. I wanted to give up. I was so tired, but I had your father there with me, and all we wanted was to see that beautiful baby. Then when you came out, all my pain and frustration vanished."

"So listen to me when I say this. Five minutes of pain for a lifetime of happiness."

"Yeah, you can do it, Babe, I know you can."

With encouraging words from her mother, and boyfriend, she knew what she had to do.

Letting out a scream that probably woke up half the town, she pushed as hard as she could.

"Good, keep going," the doctor said. "Hey, Dad you wanna come and look?"

Bobby let go of Lori's hand, and moved down to the end of the bed.

The baby's head was nearly out, just dangling in the doctor's hands. He could feel his eyes begin to itch.

"Okay, I got it," Dr Roth said. She pulled the baby's head out, then their shoulders.

Finally, their baby had entered the world.

She smiled as she looked at the baby's nether regions. "Does Dad wanna tell Mom what it is?"

Bobby looked, and his mouth dropped when he saw it. "Babe…"

He walked over to Lori, tears dripping down his face. "We have a son."

The baby was laid on top of her, Natalie began suctioning his nose and mouth.

Lori felt tears go down her face when he started to cry.

"Hi baby boy," she said, holding him to her chest.

At that moment, it was as if time stopped. Nothing else mattered anymore. All the pain she was currently experiencing didn't matter. The bags under her eyes, and sweat under her armpits didn't matter. All that mattered was this small, fragile human being who had just entered the world. Her son was all that mattered.

She looked over at Bobby, who had tears streaming down his face. "He's so beautiful," he said, his voice shaky. "I love him so much."

Lori looked back at the baby. His light, tan skin shined in the well lit room. His soft tuft of dark brown hair on his head blew slightly with the breeze from the fans in the room. He was perfect.

She looked over at her mom, who was also struggling to hold back tears. She leaned down to give Lori a kiss on the head. "I'm so proud of you, sweetie," she said, sniffling. "He's amazing."

Lori looked back at him. "He is literally amazing," she said, wiping her eyes. "Thanks, Mom."

Dr. Roth handed Bobby a pair of scissors, and cut the cord.

Natalie walked over with a blanket. "Is it okay if I take him for a bit?", she asked.

"Of course," Lori said as she watched her son being carried away.

"I'll go watch him, Babe," Bobby said, following the nurse.

A minute or so later, he walked back over with the baby in his arms.

"Here he is, all nice and clean," he said. "He weighs six pounds and eight ounces."

Lori laid him on her chest. "He's a big boy," she said, booping his nose.

"Do you know what you're naming him?", Rita asked.

Lori and Bobby looked at each other.

"I think…I have one," Lori said.

He kissed her cheek. "I'll go with whatever you pick," he said.

She looked at her son, who was snoozing away. "Luis, after his Daddy, and because it fits the four letter L theme."

Bobby smiled. "R-Really?"

She nodded. "Luis Loud-Santiago."

He rubbed his son's hair. "Luis Santiago, I love it."

"Do you want "Luis" to be your name?", she asked the baby playfully.

He responded by letting out a grunt.

"I think that's a "yes"," Lori said, laughing.

Rita wiped her eyes, and stood up. "Well, I think I'll go tell the news to everyone."

Before she could reach the door, she heard Lori call out to her.

"Hey, Mom?"

She turned around. "What is it, honey?"

"Can you tell Lincoln that I want him to see the baby first?"

Rita smiled, putting a hand to her chest. "Oh, of course."

"And that's when Ace defeated the evil King of Spades!", Lincoln said, pointing to the comic book Ronnie Anne was holding.

She raised a brow, looking at him. "You really know your stuff, Lame-o."

He laughed. "Heh, yeah, I've been a fan of him since I was four."

"So…you've always been a Lame-o then," Ronnie Anne said, nudging his arm.

They laughed.

Suddenly, everyone looked at the hallway entrance, as footsteps could be heard. Rita appeared, causing everyone to stand up.

"So, guys, the baby is here," she said.

Everyone began to talk excitedly and ask questions.

Rita motioned with her arms. "Settle down everyone, Lori and the baby are just fine. She's pretty tired, so she doesn't want many visitors right now."

A collective "Aww" could be heard.

"But, she did have a special request." She walked over to Lincoln, sticking out her hand. "Come on, sweetie, Lori has asked that you see the baby first."

Lincoln looked up at his mom, his mouth dripping open a bit. "R-Really?"

She nodded. "Yep, let's go."

He handed his comic to Ronnie Anne, who gave him a smile. He stood up, grabbed Rita's hand.

She led him down the long hallway. He could already feel the sweat beginning to form on his face, and his legs became shaky. His breathing became heavy as he felt his heart racing in his chest.

They stopped in front of a plain, white door.

"Okay, here we are," she said. She pushed the door open and they stepped inside.

Lincoln saw his sister laying in the bed, a small bundle in her arms. She put a finger to her lips, indicating that he needed to be quiet.

He stepped as close as his legs would take him without collapsing.

"Hi, Linky," she whispered. "Are you ready to meet your nephew?"

A shaky smile quickly spread across his face. Nephew? He had a nephew?

Lori held the baby out to him, but he stepped away.

"I-I c-can't," he started. "M-My hands are too shaky, what if I drop him?"

She smiled at her brother. "It's okay, Lincoln, you won't drop him."

He let her put the baby into his arms. His breathing became slower as he looked at his adorable, sleeping face.

"His name is Luis," Lori said, softly.

"H-Hi Luis, I'm your Uncle Lincoln," he said.

It took him a few moments to realize it. He had a nephew, his sister had a son. There was another boy in the family. He gently rocked Luis in his arms, and caressed his cheek. His lips began to tremble, a few tears running down his cheeks.

Lori frowned. "Oh, Linky, are you crying?"

He nodded, sniffling. "Y-Yeah," he wiped his eyes. "I just love him so much."

Rita held out her hands, and Lincoln handed her the baby.

He walked up to his sister, placing his arms around her.

Lori hugged him back, as hard as she could, and laid her head on his.

He let himself cry into his big sister's shoulder. She rubbed his back as he whimpered loudly.

"I-I-I'm s-sorry, I just…I just…", he sobbed.

"Shhh, it's okay, Linky. I love you," she said, running her fingers through his hair.

"I-I love you too," he said, sniffling.

For a little while, it was just him and his big sister. She laid there, caressing him as he let out all of the happiness and feelings he was experiencing. Lori hadn't expected him to react this way, but knowing her little brother already felt such a strong attachment to her son, made her heart melt.

Their moment was interrupted by a little cry.

"Uh oh, Mommy, baby needs you," Rita said from the side.

Lincoln gave his sister one last squeeze, and stepped away.

"Aww, let me have him," Lori said, holding out her arms.

She lifted up her gown, allowing Luis to latch onto her breast.

"He's such a good baby, already knows what to do," she said, rubbing his hair.

Lincoln smiled and looked over at Bobby, who had been watching the whole scene. He ran over to him, and gave him a hug. "Congrats, Bobby, you're a Dad now!", he said happily.

Bobby tousled Lincoln's hair. "I know! And you're an uncle, buddy! I can tell you'll be his favorite one, too."

"Yeah, and his only one."

They laughed, and Lincoln wiped the remaining tears from his face. "I'm sorry about that."

Bobby waved his hand down. "Aw, don't worry, I cried like a baby when I saw him come out."

He turned to his sister. "Can I tell our sisters it's okay to come in? And Dad too?", he asked.

"Yeah, go ahead," she said. "Though, this little guy will be eating for a bit."

Lincoln walked over to her, and gave Luis a kiss on the head. "I'll see ya later, little buddy."

He headed out into the hallway, wiping any stray tears from his face. As he stepped into the waiting room, he watched as everyone stared at him.

"Everything okay, Linky?", Leni asked, a worried look on her face.

He sniffled. "Yeah, everything is perfect," he said.

He walked over to where his sisters and Ronnie Anne were sitting. "We…we have a nephew," he said.

The girls' faces lit up.

"Lori had a boy?!", Lana exclaimed.

Lincoln nodded. "She did, and…and he's precious."

He heard a sniffle.

"I…I have a grandson?", Lynn Sr. asked, wiping his eyes. Luna patted him on the back.

"Lori wants her sisters to come next," Lincoln said. "Oh, and you too, Ronnie Anne."

She looked up at him. "Really?"

He nodded. "Yeah, after all," he grabbed her hand. "You're part of the family, too."

She smiled. "Thanks, Lincoln."

Lola tapped her foot. "Can you guys hurry this up?! I wanna see the baby!"

Lincoln laughed. "Okay, okay," he motioned for them to follow him. "Let's go."

The girls followed him. Some of them shook with excitement, while others smiled happily.

As they stood in front of the door, Lincoln turned to them. "Shhh, we have to be quiet, okay?"

The girls nodded.

They stepped inside. Lori had just finished feeding the baby, and was wiping his mouth.

"Hey, girls," she said, cradling him in her arms.

They let out a collective "Aww".

"Baby," Lily said from Luna's arms.

"Yes, that's a baby," she said. "Can you say "nephew"?"

"Neh-you," Lily said.

Luna clapped her hands. "Yay! You did it!"

She responded by clapping her own hands.

Lana and Lola leaned up against the bed, trying to get a better look. "Look at his little feet!", Lola said.

"And his little nose," Lana said.

"What's his name?", Ronnie Anne asked.

"His name is Luis," Bobby said.

Lori nodded. "Yeah, I chose to name him after his dad," she gave Bobby a kiss on the cheek. "And it's an L name."

"That's perfect," Lynn said. He stepped up to the bed. "He's so cute."

"Do you guys wanna hold him?", Lori asked.

They all raised their hands.

One at a time, they each got to hold their newborn nephew.

Leni gushed about how she would be his fashion designer, Luna sang him a lullaby, Luan told him jokes, Lynn talked about how she would make sure he grew up to be strong, Lucy said she'd write a poem about him, Lana told him about mud pies, Lola mentioned to Lori that she should consider putting him in a baby pageant, Lisa tried to keep herself from crying, while whispering about having a new test subject, and they had to keep Lily from pulling his ears and hair.

"Okay, Nini, it's your turn," Bobby said as he grabbed Luis away from Lily.

Ronnie Anne could feel her hands shaking. "O-Okay," she said, reaching out her hands.

Her brother placed the infant in her arms. She took a good look at him. His little eyes were open, taking in everything around him.

"Hi, I'm your Aunt Ronnie Anne, or Tía Ronnie Anne, whatever you wanna call me," she laughed. "You're so cute, and my brother will take such good care of you."

The baby gurgled.

"Hehe, yeah," she said. "You're in good hands."

"Aww, he loves you, Nini," Bobby said.

She blinked, as she felt her eyes begin to water. "I-I love him, too," she sniffled.

Bobby knelt down and gave his sister a hug. "It's okay, Nini, let it out."

She handed the baby to Luna, and hugged her brother back. "I love you, Bobby," she said, tears dripping down her face.

He sniffled. "I love you too, Nini," he said.

"I'll be the best aunt ever, I promise."

He squeezed her. "I know you will be."

After everyone had met Luis, it had gotten late. The Casagrandes decoded to get a hotel so they could stay for a few days, and the Louds went home.

"Are you sure you two don't want me to stay?", Rita asked as she packed up her purse.

Lori looked at Bobby, and back to the sleeping baby in her arms. "Yeah, I think we'll be okay until the morning."

"Alright, call me if you need anything," she kissed Lori's forehead.

"We will."

"Aww, let me see my grandson, just one more time," Lynn Sr. said as he stepped in the room.

He walked over to the bed, and gave Luis a kiss on the head. "Good night, sweet boy," he said in a baby voice. "Don't keep your parents up all night."

Lori laughed. "Good night, Dad."

He kissed his daughter's cheek. "Good night to you too, and congratulations again, to you both."

"Thanks, Mr. Loud, er I mean, Lynn," Bobby said.

Rita and Lynn Sr. waved goodbye as they left the room, leaving the new parents to themselves.

Bobby climbed in the bed next to Lori, putting an arm around her. "I can't believe it. Our first night together as a family."

Lori smiled. "Yeah, it's kinda crazy," she said. "One night we had together turned into this little bundle of joy right here."

He rubbed the baby's cheek. "Yeah, it is crazy, but the good kind."

She looked at her son. He looked so small, so fragile in her arms. "You know what I just realized?", she said, looking at Bobby.

"What is that?", he asked.

"Despite the fact that I'm exhausted, and my lady parts are so sore right now," she began. "This has honestly been my best birthday, ever." She took a look at the sleeping baby in her arms. "And I never got to open any of my presents, but it's okay."

"Because I got the best gift I could have ever asked for."

"Aww", he said. "Happy Birthday, Babe." He gave her a kiss on the lips. "And Happy Birthday, Luis."

"Finally! Ugh it feels so good to be home," Lori said as she stepped out of the car.

"Me too, hospital food doesn't really sit well with me," Bobby said, rubbing his stomach.

She stepped up to the door of her house, turned the doorknob. "Hey, why is it dark in here?"

She flipped the switch.

"Surprise!", all of her siblings jumped out from behind the furniture.

Lori jumped back, but she had a big smile on her face. The living room was decorated for a birthday party, complete with a banner that read: "Happy Birthday, Lori", and another that read: "Welcome Home, Luis."

Bobby walked in, and set the car seat on the ground. "Wow, you guys really went all out, huh?"

Leni walked up to Lori. "We thought that since you didn't get to have your party," she began. "That we'd set it up again!"

"We even got your cheesecake!", Lola said, holding up the cake.

Lori's mouth dropped open. "Wow guys, I don't even know what to say," she said. She grabbed the cake from Lola. "Other than I'm starving and want some of this cake!"

Her siblings laughed, and the twins led her over to the couch.

Bobby picked up the car seat. "I'll be there in a few, guys." He headed for the stairs. "I'm gonna go put Little Guy down."

He walked down the hall, and opened the door to Lori and Leni's room. Setting the car seat down next to the bassinet, he began to take his son out very carefully.

Luis began to cry.

"Shh, it's okay," Bobby said, holding him to his chest. "Daddy's here."

He laid the baby in his bassinet. He watched as his eyespots fluttered, and his breathing became slow and steady.

The new father smiled, giving his son a kiss on the cheek. "Good night, mijo," he said as he turned out the lights.

Luis may not have known it yet, but he was lucky. He had been born to parents who have a dying love for each other. He already had many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him. They were already so excited to teach him new things, hoping that they'd have someone to share a bond with.

His birth may have been unexpected, but that didn't stop his family from loving him. The circumstances of one's birth should have no impact on them as a person.

Little did he know just how much he'd learn from growing up in a house that had one boy, and ten girls.

Life works in mysterious ways. It always seems to go fine, and then it throws a curveball your way. I never imagined that I would have a baby at eighteen. I had so many things planned for myself, like moving out and going to college. The last year of my life has been nothing but a joy. I met your father, and he's the best guy I've ever had in my life. He loves you so much.

Even though my life hasn't went the way I imagined it, I think it has changed for the better. I still want to accomplish all of my dreams, so that I can make you proud. You're my son, and you deserve all the best things in life.

You were born into quite an interesting family. Growing up with ten siblings is something that many people can't say. Your aunts and uncle, they were so excited to meet you. They wanted to spend time with you, and teach you all the great things in life. They never stop saying how much they love you.

Your dad's side is pretty crazy too. You get to grow up in a multicultural family. Not many kids get that experience. Your Aunt Ronnie Anne loves you so much too, as well as your cousins.

My pregnancy was quite the journey. From telling all of my family, to dealing with bullies. The back pain, the morning sickness, the sleepless nights. It was all worth it. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me.

I didn't think that my first moments of adulthood would be filled with making bottles, getting peed on, and never getting enough sleep. Watching you grow, and play with your aunts and uncle, it warms my heart.

I know that you'll grow up into something amazing, and I'm so happy that your dad and I will be around to see it.

You're my little miracle, Luis.

Love you forever and always,

Lori aka "Mom"

A/N: So, there you have it! That was the end of this story, and I must say, it has been quite the journey. This is my first multichapter story with an ongoing plot, and I can't believe I actually finished it. It is also my favorite story I have written, period.

This story has done so many things for me as a writer. It has become my most favorited story, as well as getting featured on The Loud House's TV Tropes page. It has helped me grow in my writing skills, and for that I will always be thankful.

I'd also like to give shoutouts to my friends, Jackie and Valerie, aka Sunny. I named the two nursing students after them. You can follow Jackie on Twitter and Tumblr, at aquatic-starbursts, and Sunny has a fanfic account, it's xSunnyEclipse (please go read her stuff, it's great), and she also has a Twitter by the same name, and a Tumblr by the name of brighteronthesunnyside.

Also, don't think this is the last time you'll see Luis. I plan to keep him around for a long time. In fact, I have something planned that features him, so stay tuned for that.

As always, thank you so much to everyone who stayed with me for this story, and to everyone who discovered me because of it. I hope you stay awhile, and keep an eye out for my new projects as well!

Until next time,

WP
