Chapter One: The Infamous Son Returns

Many people who have met Tony Stark, believed that they knew all they needed to know about him. He was a billionaire, obviously, he was also a genius. Though they also knew he was as egotistical and narccistic as they came. Not caring for anyone but himself. Not caring about what the tabloids thought about his recent escapade with the newest fashion model. Anthony Edward Stark just didn't care what others perceived him as. Which many believed to coincide with his vanity.

However if one would look a little deeper. They would find a man who tried his very best to care. They would find someone that wanted more than anything to be loved. They would find a man with a heart of gold, with walls higher than Mount Everest and made out of vibranium.

His walls causing him to get into more problems than necessary. However Tony did not care in the slightest. If it meant that he wouldn't get hurt again, then so be it. Tony wasn't stupid, far from it. He knew what people thought of him and even though it hurt. That didn't mean he wouldn't keep moving forward.

All of his life Tony had been told how worthless he was. How he would never achieve anything without his father's help. Of course Tony knew those words were untrue, that didn't mean they didn't sting any less. Which was why when Tony was given a chance to become something more than most people believed him to be capable of. He took it without a backward glance.

From that point on Iron Man was born. Iron Man the symbol of the new age. A silent and vigilant protector, always there in the time of need. He was also Tony Stark's bodyguard. Of course only Tony and a select few others knew the truth. The secret that told just who was within the suit.

Once Tony had been rescued from Afghanistan, he hadn't stopped in creating the suit. He only made it better, stronger than it had been before. It was one of Tony's greatest accomplishments. Only rivaled by Jarvis of course. Tony hadn't stopped to think about the ramifications that his actions could cause. All he knew was that he could help people. He could protect those he had believed he had been protecting with his weapons program.

Tony still chuckled bitterly at his naïve hope. Someone had been stealing and selling his weapons from right under his nose. While he was blissfully unaware. Of course until Afghanistan and the suit happened. He refused to surrender to the bastards that had been taking what was his. He refused to stand ideally by as hundreds of innocents were killed and tortured because of his weapons.

He had been careful, making sure that no one knew of his activities. Almost getting caught by Pepper as she came down to check on him. Luckily Jarvis had been able to intercept her and calm her nerves. She left shortly after, after reminding Jarvis to tell him that he had a meeting with the board in the morning. After that incident Tony made sure that his doors were always locked and his windows dimmed.

Then Obie happened. Tony would be lying if he said that his betrayal didn't sting. Obie had been the only true family that he had left. Tony had thought that Obie had loved him. However, obviously, he was wrong. He still couldn't believe that he had almost been killed by his god father.

The fight with Obie had been horrible, but luckily he was able to win because Jarvis activated the Arc Reactor and fried him. Tony had barely escaped with his life, but he was glad to still be breathing.

The press conference that followed, passed in a blur. He went with the story that he had made up. He had been looking into the under the table dealing, and found out that Obadiah Stane had been the one operating it. Luckily for him the 'man' that he had hired saved him. Which had caused an eruption of questions. The question that circulated the most however was, 'Who was the man in the suit?'

Of course Tony had been quick witted about it. He said that under the confidentiality agreement in his contract that he could, and would, not disclose that information. Which caused even more questions to erupt.

Though as the years passed the public began to accept Iron Man. However Tony could tell that they couldn't care less about him. Which made Tony wish that they knew who really was behind the suit. Though as those thoughts blossomed they quickly withered away.

Then the Avengers happened. Tony had no idea why he thought it would be a good idea for him to house the team. A team that consisted of two super spies, a super-soldier, a scientist and a Norse demigod. If it happened to anyone else he would have laughed. Especially since it seemed like it was the beginning of a bad joke. However it wasn't somebody else and Tony didn't know what to do.

He could tell the team didn't particularly care for him. Oh they tolerated him, but care. No Tony knew that they only dealt with him because they had to.

Iron Man on the other hand was a whole different story. Iron Man had earned their trust and support. Iron Man had been accepted into their fold. Something that Tony wished could happen to him.

If it wasn't for his son, Tony would be completely alone in the world. Of course no one knew that Tony had a son. Oh there were rumors spread around, but none of them were factual. Harry was the one thing in Tony's life that was neverchanging. He was the only other living person to know his secret, and Tony knew that his son wanted him to tell the team, but Tony couldn't. Luckily his son seemed to understand his hesitance.

Which was another reason that Tony was so happy about having Harry. Harry was his savior, the one that makes him see the light. Nothing would ever change that.

Tony couldn't help a small smile that graced his lips as he walked towards the debriefing room in S.H.I.E.L.D. Though that smile quickly vanished when he entered the room.

He could feel the Avengers stares on him, but he refused to be fazed by them. As he sat down by Maria, he observed each and every member. He noticed that they all seemed to be tense, which couldn't bode well.

Though before Tony could inquire about his observations to Maria, Fury walked in. With someone Tony hadn't seen since the end of summer.

He could faintly hear Fury tell the team that they had a new member, but all Tony could do was stare into the emerald green eyes of his son.

Before he could stop himself, he spoke.

"Harry?"

The room stilled and Tony could feel every person's gaze on him, but he didn't care. Not when his son turned a bashful smile towards him with a small wave and said.

"Hi dad."

A/N: Hey guys! I hope you liked the first chapter of Infamous, I decided to do a HP/Avengers crossover slightly different. In this Tony still is Iron Man, but the team doesn't know. I'm also thinking of incorporating some sort of soul mate scenario later on, but I don't know. In thid I've decided that I'm going to pair Harry with any male Marvel character that you all would like. For Tony I think I might do Iron Widow, though we'll see. I hope you guys enjoyed the first of many chapters.

Also I know it's short, but this is to see if you all would want to read it. Hope you have a wonderful day.
