In the throne room the coronation of Xavier and the wedding between Theo and Marinette was taking place. Both ceremonies were being performed by the Archbishop Damocles.

"Good people of France." He said. "We gather here today to witness the crowning of our new king and the union of our beloved princess. If there be any person among you who has any reason why these two should not be we'd let him or her speak now or forever hold their peace."

Marinette glanced tearfully at the crowd as if she was begging one of them object. They pitied her greatly and they thought about saying something but Theo's threatening glare kept them silent.

"I thought not." Theo said pulling Marinette closer to him much to her disgust.

"Do you Sheriff Theo take this woman to be your-" The archbishop started.

"I'll give you reason why this woman can't marry this poor excuse for a man!" A voice cried out from the spectators. A voice that sounded wonderfully familiar to Marinette.

"Who cares to interrupt?!" Theo demanded.

"I dare!" The owner of the voice stepped forward, revealing himself to be Adrien. "Marinette loves me!...I think."

"You're alive!" Marinette said with over whelming joy. She tried to run to him but Theo grabbed hold of her and held her back.

"You?!" Xavier shouted an anger before turning to Theo. "You told me he was dead?!"

"He was!" Theo said. "He had to be!"

"Well I will admit that it was a close call." Adrien said. "But no I am very much alive and I have come to steal Marinette away from the wretched hands of you poorly trained beasts!"

"Guards! Kill him!" Xavier demanded.

But no one came to his order.

"I'm still here." Adrien chuckled.

"Guards! I command you! Come at once and destroy this man!"

And yet none of the uniform men came running.

"What a pity, it would seem that your forces have deserted you."

"Sheriff what is the meaning of this?!" Xavier demanded to him.

"Nevermind! We don't need the guards! I'll kill him myself!" Theo said tossing Marinette aside and drawing his sword. "Let's go boy! You and me! To the death!"

"As you wish."

Adrien drew out his sword and the two began to fight. Theo was an excellent swordsman but he was nothing against Adrien. He out matched the sheriff in every sense of movement and combat. Theo couldn't believe that a mere boy could surpass him in anything especially combat. He needed to distract him somehow, he looked over at Marinette and saw his opportunity.

He quickly seized hold of her and held his sword to her neck.

"Surrender now or I'll slit her throat!"

Adrien not wanting any harm to befall Marinette, dropped his sword. The sheriff then kicked it to the side while not letting go of Marinette and pointing his own sword to Adrien's throat.

"Fool! Did you really think I would harm my bride?" Theo taunted.

"I am not your bride!" Marinette said angrily. "I will never marry you! Never! I'd rather die!"

"Shut up! Or I'll grant that request!"

But Marinette refused to let the man she loved be killed especially by such a vile man. She quickly grabbed a nearby candle and pressed the hot wax against Theo's face.

"Ahh!" He screeched and she knocked the sword out of his hand. "You traitorous wretch!"

He moved to strike her only to be stabbed in the side by Adrien who had quickly grabbed Theo's fallen sword. He fell to the floor and clutched his side in agony.

"You will never lay your filthy hands on her again!" Adrien declared angrily. "And if you value your life you'll stay on the floor."

Theo looked at Adrien with pure hatred and he felt the urge to attack him but he was too injured to move.

"Oh Adrien." Marinette said running into his waiting arms.

"Marinette are you okay?" He asked holding her.

"Yes I'm fine."

"Sorry it took so long for me to get here my lady?"

"You're right on time. I can't believe it. You're actually alive...And you came for me."

"Of course I did." He said with a smile. "I loved you too much to let you marry that swine."

"I love you too."

"How sweet." Xavier said with a sneer as he pulled out his own sword. "Because I feel nothing but contempt for the both of you."

Adrien and Marinette held each other protectively, each trying to shield the person they loved from the mad man.

"Don't you come a step closer!" Marinette said.

"You're wasting your time Marinette! No one can stop King Xavier!"

"You're not the king!"

"A mere formality that will soon be corrected. Now my lovely niece the time has come for you and your darling to reach your end."

"Is that so brother?" At once all eyes turned toward the entrance of the throne room where there stood the wise, fair, and kind King Thomas who had made a sudden return from battle.

"Father!" Marinette joyfully ran into embrace him. "Oh Father thank God you've returned."

"It's alright now dearest." He said hugging her. "I'm home. I got your message."

"But how?"

"Friar Fu managed to swipe it and send it to me. I came as soon as I could. Are you harmed?"

"No Father."

"Thank the Lord."

"Thomas." Xavier said shaking with fear. "So good to see you big brother."

Thomas's kind and fatherly demeanor dropped instantly was replaced with a great yet dignified manner.

"I leave my kingdom and my only child in your care only to return to find the people oppressed and my daughter's life being threatened?!"

"Well I...I...I-"

"You have used the crown for your own selfish interests! Such crimes are punishable by death! However I think an eternity in prison is much more fitting!"

"You wouldn't send me to prison. You're own brother? We're family!"

"You dare speak to me on the matter family?! After what you did to my daughter! You're own niece! Guards!"

At once all the castle guards came running into the throne room.

"Remove this traitor and have him and all his accomplices thrown in the dudgeon! For life!"

"Yes sire!"

The guards then carried Xavier and Theo away to the dudgeon where they would stay for the rest of their lives.
