Melody's Day With Tanya

Melody and Tanya returned to Earthrealm. Her mother, Jade, was having nightmares of the incident involving her as a revenant.

"Are you ok, Melody?"

"I'll be fine. It's mom I'm worried about."

"She's in her familiar place with your dad. She should be ok."

Melody was cooking dinner when Tanya came out of the shower only in her towel.

"Tanya..."

"Sorry, Mel. What are you making?"

"Chicken fried rice and baguettes."

"Nice."

They ate dinner together. Melody always wondered about Tanya.

"So are you really the Ambassador of Edenia?"

"You have no idea what hell I go through in meetings. We usually discuss politics."

"That doesn't sound fun."

"It is not. In fact, I have a meeting tomorrow, so after we see Jade, I must see the counselors. Trust me, it's boring, but it's my job."

"I understand."

In the morning, Melody and Tanya returned to Edenia to check up on Jade.

"How are you feeling, mom?'

"I feel great, thanks to your dad and Kitana."

Melody wide-eyed. "Dad..."

"Hey, come on now."

"Melody and I are heading to my meeting," said Tanya.

"How long will that take?"

Melody got her answer after spending all day with Tanya in various meetings. Tanya took her home.

"I'm sorry, Melody. This is usually what I do. Do not put yourself in my boots."

"It sounds like you hate your job."

"No, quite the contrary. Edenia is in constant need of ideas for the future. But thanks for hanging with me."

Melody enters the house.

"Melody, are you alright?" asked Jade.

"Very exhausted. I guess Tanya was right. Her job is boring, but she does it for Edenia's sake."

"Your father made dinner for you, dear. I'm going to bed. I suggest you do the same after you eat."

"Thanks, mom."

Melody ate her meat loaf and went to bed. Her day with Tanya was just as eventful but just as fun.
