Sorry for the delay, I've been mentally exhausted lately which explains why my progress has been so slow.

Here is Ash's return to the Saffron Gym where he will meet Sabrina once again. Also the poll is closed, and I will tell you about the results at the end of the chapter.

Just be warned, Ash's gym battle isn't what would expect, and he is going to learn a lesson in the worst way possible. If we did live in a Pokémon world like Ash or the characters in the game, we'd make sure to take note from this.

Enjoy and I do not own Pokémon

Flashback

Pallet Town-22 Years Ago

It was nighttime in Pallet Town. Everyone has gone to sleep and not many lights were on. While everyone was sleeping, there was one boy who wasn't sleeping. That was Giovanni.

He was disgusted to know that the professor was going to use Mew's DNA for research on how they can befriend it rather than track it down and get it themselves to use for battle. Giovanni refused to let that Pokémon's power be wasted like that because of Red.

That night, he snuck over to the gates of what would be his lab. His Meowth was rustling through the bushes to make sure there were no guard Pokémon in the premise. As Meowth emerged from the bushes, he went over to Giovanni to confirm him that the coast was clear.

"Perfect," Giovanni muttered.

Giovanni climbed over the brick fence and made his way to the building where he approached the front door. He turned the knob and the door opened. That fool, he thinks nobody would come in during the middle of the night and he doesn't lock his door. He thought nobody would get over his fence, but he proved him wrong.

Giovanni walked inside and looked all over for that strand of hair. He kept quiet as the professor was asleep. Meowth continued to search the lab for the DNA of Mew, and then to his expense, Meowth found something. He got Giovanni and brought him over to a table.

Giovanni glared at what was on the table. The DNA of Mew inside of a plastic bag. He started to smile as he began to pick it up.

"That fool thinks using this to be friends will help lead to greatness, but they are wrong. I will take this strand of hair for myself in hopes of finding Mew and obtaining it for myself, where I actually will put this to use," Giovanni said to himself.

He put the strand of hair in his pocket and he and his Meowth fled from the lab. Now Giovanni had Mew's DNA for himself.

Now there was only one thing left for Giovanni to do, and that was to figure out how he could use this strand of hair to find Mew. Maybe it could serve as a scent to bring the Pokémon over, or maybe he can get a tracking device and it can locate the Pokémon.

Either way, Giovanni was going to have his way with Mew, and he would have it with Red as well, along with the professor who took his side.

End Flashback

Saffron City-Park

It was the day after the contest. Serena called her moms about her fourth ribbon and how Ash even participated in the contest. Grace and Jade thought that the moment between Greninja and Delphox was kind of cute.

It made Serena look back, a long time ago she got a Fennekin who was felt emotionally crippled around any human except her, and now here was her Delphox kissing Greninja on stage with a lot of people watching in the stands and on TV.

Serena was now one ribbon away from a trip to the Grand Festival. She was determined to get her final ribbon in her next contest, but first there was one more important piece of business. Ash's rematch with Sabrina.

They figured that Ash should have a full day just to prepare for his rematch. Greninja definitely wanted to partake in the battle as he wants to give some payback to Kadabra. Ash wasn't sure how the matchup was going to be. Depending on all the gyms he has visited, he assumed it would most likely go up to three Pokémon.

Ash was considering on using Greninja, Haunter, and possibly Ivysaur. Ivysaur has still been on the bitter side and Ash wasn't sure if he was willing to take part in the gym battle. Otherwise he would turn to Pikachu as his potential number three.

Ash did take some time to know his new Pokémon, Tauros, Dratini, and Lapras. Ash wanted to give all those Pokémon a chance to battle, especially Lapras to help her get stronger after what she went through. Unfortunately, these were Pokémon Ash just recently got so it was too soon to throw them into a gym battle, but Ash would make sure they had their chance to shine.

Despite all the training Ash put in, he still had some doubts on whether he or his Pokémon were ready to take on Sabrina. He knew he was stronger, but it felt too soon. This wasn't really the plan at all. Team Rocket kidnapped them an dragged them over here to torture them. Ash would've waited a little longer, but since he was here he might as well take the chance.

Serena was watching Ash sitting on a park bench looking nervous. She wondered to herself how Ash was doing and how he would take the rematch.

"Ash is looking tense," Serena said to herself.

Serena was trying to figure out a way she can help Ash. She definitely could throw in more training sessions for Ash's Pokémon against her Kadabra. Maybe some with Delphox on the count of she's part psychic.

No, she has done enough training. Maybe it was time for another approach to ease Ash's tensions. Serena looked through her backpack to look for something that could help Ash, like maybe a treat or something. She knew Ash's mind would go off in other directions when thinking of food. As she kept looking, she then noticed something in her backpack. Maybe it wasn't food that he needed, maybe it was something else.

10 minutes later

Ash was sitting down trying to think over how he would approach Sabrina. Trevor didn't lie when he said how dangerous Sabrina was. Sure he had Haunter and Greninja was a lot stronger, but he needed a real strategy.

"What am I going to do? I know I need to beat Sabrina, but her father also says I need to save her. I don't have a plan for that," Ash sighed.

He wasn't just thinking about the gym battle, he was also thinking about what her father told him about trying to save his daughter. Ash's mind was all fogged up right now. If only something came over to clear his head.

Then right on cue, Ash started hearing footsteps. He turned his head wondering where the sound was coming from. Ash looked surprised by what he saw coming his way. It was Serena and she was actually wearing her contest outfit. Not just the dress, the whole complete outfit from the dress, gloves, pantyhose, shoes, and ribbon to tie her hair back.

"Hey there Ash," Serena said lovingly.

Serena was teasing with Ash a little bit when she said that. Serena felt as if it were a treat to wear her contest outfit just for fun. She did recall Ash saying she looked too beautiful in that outfit so maybe this can distract him from his thoughts.

"Serena," Ash stuttered.

Ash's face was turning read due to Serena's appearance. She just so damn good in that dress. Serena stood in front of Ash tapping her foot with her hands on her hips. What was it that Serena was trying to do?

"Aren't you going to say something?" Serena questioned with a wink.

Serena continued to tap her foot on the pavement and Ash just sat there with that lustful look in his eyes. Why did Serena wear her contest outfit here while she is not in a contest? Was she going to put some show on for him?

"Like I said back in the contest hall, you look too beautiful," Ash stuttered.

Serena smiled right back at Ash and then leaned towards him and kissed him on the lips. Ash's face was filled with shock as the kiss lasted for almost a minute. Serena then pulled herself away from Ash.

"I thought I just try to ease your tension," Serena said.

"By wearing your dress," Ash replied.

"Well you do look memorized by it," Serena said as she gave a bow.

Ash just let out a sarcastic sigh. Serena did this on purpose just so she could get Ash flustered up again. If she's wearing this in her contests, imagine what she could wear in the Grand Festival.

"Well, it's just pretty," Ash said while feeling memorized.

Serena let out a giggle, and then she stuck her hand out.

"Tell you what Ash, since you think I look too beautiful, I'll let you make me less pretty. Take my glove," Serena said in a playful tone.

Serena was wiggling her fingers like she was ready to play the piano. Serena offered Ash to remove her glove, no, seize her glove. Was Serena really doing this to ease Ash's tensions? None the less, Ash had a chance to be a little playful with Serena.

He gently grabbed her wrist and his fingertips locked onto the fingertips of her glove. Ash started to pull the glove off her hand and then her hand, completely bare. Serena wiggled her fingers around as Ash was now holding her glove in her hand. Serena was blushing.

"How do you feel," Serena playfully asked.

"Well, thanks for your glove, I guess," Ash nervously said.

"Guess I still look to pretty, maybe I'll kick one of my shoes off," Serena teased.

She wasn't teasing as she kicked off her fancy red flat and kicked it over to Ash. Ash's face was now getting redder.

"You're not trying to strip tease in front of me, are you?" Ash asked very nervously.

Serena then let out a loud giggle and sat down next to Ash. Not bothering to put her shoe back on or retrieve her glove, Serena wrapped her arm around Ash.

"In public, absolutely not. Plus I'm eleven and I shouldn't be doing something like this with you until I'm much older," Serena explained.

The honey blonde coordinator's voice was filled with glee. If she was capable of strip teasing, then she could only do shoes, gloves, and any other accessories. No way she can take that dress off here.

The only thing going through Ash's head right now were fantasies of Serena. While Ash wasn't a shallow person, he can't help but picture Serena in nice outfits that would turn him on. Imagine what would happen when puberty comes.

"Well I can say this Serena, you did ease my tensions," Ash said twiddling his fingers.

"Well, I did what I needed to do," Serena said.

She then leaned in and gave Ash a kiss on the cheek. Ash's face continued to turn red. Is this what love more mature love felt like? Ash thought it would be like a boy and a girl liking each other and developing feelings the more they know each other. That all changed when Ash learned about same sex relationship where they're the same, but between the same gender. Love can be complicated at times.

"I was just worried about my gym battle, but after seeing that, made me feel a little better," Ash confessed.

Serena smiled when Ash said that. At least Ash was feeling a little better. Serena then noticed how Ash would act. She thought of something that could help motivate Ash.

"Hey Ash, how would like for me to a little…tap dance for you, in this outfit," Serena suggested playfully.

"Really," Ash stuttered.

Serena got back up and put her shoe back on. She even took her glove back and placed it back on her hand. Looks like Ash was going to get a little show.

"Hold on, there's a catch," Serena said with a wink.

"A catch," Ash muttered.

"That's right," Serena told Ash as her face became more serious with a hint of determination, "You have to beat Sabrina tomorrow and get your Marsh Badge."

Ash's face now lit up. Looks like Serena found a way to Ash's heart and mind. Serena was actually giving Ash motivation to help him win his gym battle, and a little dance for a reward was just what Serena was going to do.

"You bet I will!" Ash joyfully said.

Maybe that's what Ash needed, a little motivation from Serena, his girlfriend. She really did help Ash with his tension. Ash was now feeling sure he can win tomorrow's rematch. He just needs to focus on how he needs to approach Sabrina and her psychic Pokémon.

The Next Day

Saffron City-Saffron Gym

Ash managed to get some more training in during the next, and now a new day awoke. Ash took a deep breath as he looked at the gym. Last time he was here, Sabrina's Kadabra pummeled Frogadier and then transported him and Serena into her toy box, and then tried to kill her during their playdate.

Ash was feeling worried again. Sabrina's father clearly told him next time they enter they gym, Sabrina would have them play for eternity if Ash were to lose again. All of those good vibes Serena gave Ash last night seemed to have disappeared, but Serena didn't.

She stood next to Ash holding his hand and giving him a genuine smile to ensure that he can do this, and he gets a little reward out of it. Ash was feeling a little better now as he looked over to his companions. Pikachu stood next to Ash, Rotom Dex was floating around Ash, and Munchlax smiled at his new daddy.

Ash was feeling the tension go down again. They all had his support and believed that he can pull through. Ash also knew that he was a lot stronger than his last visit thanks to those encounters with Team Rocket and the violent Pokémon murderer. Ash needed to remind himself that he was strong, and his Pokémon were strong too.

"We're going to win this," Ash declared.

Ash took a deep breath and approached the glass doors. The doors would open, and the group would walk in. They continued down the gold colored hallway until they approach a familiar set of double doors. Sabrina's chamber.

Ash opened the doors and entered the familiar looking battlefield. He kept a brave face on him as he looked at who was on the other side. The Saffron City Gym Leader Sabrina sat in her throne while the familiar looking little girl sat on her lap. If Ash and Serena can recall that girl seems to be her old self.

"So you're back," Sabrina muttered.

"That's right, I came back to challenge you to a rematch!" Ash declared pumping his fist.

There was something wrong with this girl. She continued to give Ash that death stare while the little girl still won't reveal her eyes that are hidden underneath her hat. Ash stood there still waiting for a response.

"Another battle, even after my Kadabra beat up your Frogadier during the last match. You don't have a chance," said the little girl.

Ash made sure to look determined as possible. He didn't want to show any trace of fear to Sabrina, or that little girl. Seriously, who on earth can be scared of a little girl.

"This time you won't have it so easy. We've gotten stronger since the last match," Ash declared.

"If you lose, you'll have to play with me again," the little girl said.

Sabrina floated onto the battlefield while holding the girl. She still showed that cold look on her face. Ash had no idea what scared her more, Sabrina or the little girl.

"This time were going to make it harder," Sabrina muttered.

"Harder?" Ash questioned.

Ash was feeling a sense of dread coming towards him. What could Sabrina mean by making it harder?

"This time, it will be an all out six on six match," Sabrina muttered.

Ash's face widened with horror when she said that. Frogadier already got a taste of what Sabrina's Kadabra was capable of, but now he had to have a full Pokémon battle. Serena stood there with an expression as shocked as Ash's.

"A six on six battle," Serena stuttered.

"But, Ash doesn't have a proper team set," Rotom Dex uttered.

Ash was beginning to sweat. He was thinking it would be another one on one or maybe three on three like most gym battles, but a full six on six. Half of Ash's team were new and not prepared for gym battles, especially Lapras who just went through major hardships.

"A full six on six battle. Sure I might have Greninja and Haunter, but I don't think any of my Pokémon I have right now are prepared for her," Ash said as he looked at his belt.

Ash was sweating profusely. How can he win with the Pokémon he has? He could throw Pikachu in, but that still had a vast majority of inexperience.

"Enough stalling! Send out your Pokémon at once! Or you'll all go back to the toy box!" Sabrina muttered in a monotone expression.

It almost felt like Ash was back where he started. Who could he send out that seemed dependable?

"Well, are you ready yet?" Sabrina questioned as she loomed over Ash.

"Um yeah, just a sec," Ash lied.

Ash panicked and looked at his belt of who could be his best bet. He couldn't send Haunter out yet or Greninja. Dratini could, no…Tauros could, no…Lapras could, is Lapras even considered battle ready? Maybe Pikachu.

"The battle will begin now," Sabrina stated as her eyes began to glow orange.

Ash turned to Serena, Pikachu, Rotom Dex, and Munchlax who all looked terrified. He then darted his eyes towards the door. Maybe they can flee and get Rotom Dex to a Pokémon swap for Ash. That was the best bet.

"Uh...I quit!" Ash cried as he darted for the door, "Run!"

"Quit?" Sabrina questioned.

"Run for it!" Ash cried as he fled from the battlefield.

"Ash! Wait for us!" Serena cried.

"Hurry!" Rotom Dex shouted.

Serena, Rotom Dex, Pikachu, and Munchlax all ran after Ash as they too fled the battlefield.

"It's fun to catch them!" the little girl said.

Ash was darting through the hallway and the others caught up to him. Serena was quick on her feet as she was catching up to Ash. Rotom Dex was floating at high speed with Pikachu using his Agility. Munchlax was trying to keep up, but he wasn't one of the faster Pokémon.

"You come in for a rematch and run away!" Rotom Dex exclaimed.

"I wasn't expecting a six on six battle, and most of my Pokémon are new!" Ash argued.

Rotom Dex was giving Ash a stern look on its screen. It's almost like Ash didn't believe in his Pokémon.

"Look, it's not that I don't have faith in them, it's just they're new and I haven't gotten a chance to know most of them. I'd figure if can escape or hide, then maybe I can make a swap for some Pokémon who are battle experienced," Ash explained as he kept running.

"Oh, I see," Rotom Dex muttered.

Ash had to darn himself. He did want to bond with his new Pokémon, but the fact he got dragged into a six on six battle with them. Not only were they not ready, they could get extremely hurt. Ash may want to learn in the future to have a whole team ready for a gym battle rather than just the certain Pokémon he may be planning to use.

Then to Ash's horror, the exit door was closing.

"The exit!" Ash cried.

The door would slam shut and Ash was now caught in a dead end. There was no way out now.

"We're trapped!" Serena cried.

The little girl was floating in the air and was giggling. The entire group continued to run until the little girl eyes began to glow once more. That's when the true horror was unleashed.

Serena, Rotom Dex, Pikachu, and Munchlax all screamed as they began to shine white and change. They fell on the floor as they were transformed into dolls. Ash's eyes watered at what he was seeing.

"Serena, Pikachu, Munchlax, Rotom Dex," Ash uttered as he felt like he was about to cry, "They're…dolls."

The little girl was now hovering over Ash. Ash couldn't believe it, his girlfriend, his best friend, his pseudo son, and his floating Pokedex who also was a Pokémon, were turned into dolls. Ash felt a cringing pain as he can believe this was his fault.

Why didn't he go in with a more prepared team? Or why couldn't he have just accepted the battle with the Pokémon he has and hoped something happened? Now everyone he's cared about had to pay the price, and so would Ash.

"We're going to have so much fun," the little girl says as her eyes began to glow blue.

"Wait!" Ash cried.

Ash was not going to cry anymore. He stood up and looked at Sabrina who was right behind her. Ash needed to figure out how he can get out of this? What can he do to help his friends who've become toys?

"Any chance we can still have that battle?" Ash asked.

Sabrina's face still hasn't changed. Did Ash really mess up by running away instead of facing her like a man? Sabrina continued to float in the air looking down at Ash.

"You've changed your mind?" Sabrina questioned.

"Yes, I will accept your challenge," Ash sighed, "Under one condition."

Sabrina still had that same expression, but there was some curiosity. What was Ash asking from Sabrina to actually go through with this?

"If I win, you turn my friends back to normal and let us leave in peace," Ash declared and then took a deep breath, "And if I lose, I will join you and the others as your playdates for all eternity."

Sabrina knew Ash was coming to terms now. The fact that she turned her friends into dolls may have been what caused him to change his mind. The fact that he wanted to put his fears aside and stand up to save his friends.

Sabrina never had any friends, but Ash has friends. She never took the time to get along with others because she was so focused on her psychic powers. Ash had people he cared about and saw that he was going to fight for them. Sabrina did wonder if she ever had close friends like Ash, could she have that motivation? She never took the time to learn emotions.

One thing was for certain, she just couldn't pass up on Ash's deal. At least he would surrender if he lost.

"Agreed," Sabrina confirmed.

"So you will have our battle?" Ash questioned in shock.

"Yes, and I will turn your friends back to normal if you win," Sabrina stated as she looked at the dolls, "However, until then."

Sabrina's eyes began to glow blue as the dolls of Serena, Pikachu, Munchlax, and Rotom Dex began to be engulfed in a blue aura. Then the next thing that happened, they disappeared! Ash gasped when he saw that they were gone.

"I have transported them to the toy box. You'll join them after the match," Sabrina stated.

Ash wasn't sure on what Sabrina meant by that. Did that mean she would return them if he won, or that he was going to be thrown into the toy box as a doll too. Ash knew what had to be done though. This wasn't for just a badge anymore, Ash had to fight for his friends.

"Return to the battlefield, and I said before, it will be a six on six battle," Sabrina declared.

Ash took a deep breath and put all of his fears aside and replaced it with determination. Ash cowardice has now cost him Pikachu so he can't use him. He looked at his belt and knew that he was just going to need to have faith in his three new Pokémon. Maybe they might help him out, and of course he'll have Haunter and Greninja to back him up. Ivysaur felt like a wild card at the moment with his behavior.

5 minutes later

Ash returned to the battlefield with Sabrina sitting back on her throne. The little girl was now back on Sabrina's lap. Ash wasn't sure what Pokémon she would be using. He knew they all be psychic types, and of course there was that Kadabra that gave his starter back spasms the last time. It shouldn't be a surprise that Kadabra will appear in the battle.

"We're going to have lots of fun," said the little girl.

The little girl began to float back into the air. Ash was watching the little girl's movements. Where was she going? Wait, she was going to the side. Was she going to actually officiate this battle? How strange would it be that a little girl was judging a full six on six battle?

Then to Ash's surprise, the little girl was now being engulfed in a purple glow and began to glow purple herself. It was almost like she was evolving.

"What's going on," Ash stuttered.

"Our judge is appearing," Sabrina answered.

A terrifying transformation was taking place within the girl, and now taking the place of the little girl who represented Sabrina as a little girl…was a glowing purple eye.

Ash was shivering at what he was seeing. A floating paranormal eye serving as a judge to an official Pokémon battle. That thing was creepy as hell. Ash was even wondering if he was looking at the messenger of death. Then the eye started to glow, and the battlefield now had a purplish glow as the lights dimmed.

"That's our judge!" Ash cried.

"Silence!" a voice called out.

Ash looked around and saw that it came from the eye. It didn't sound like a little playful girl, it sounded dark, cold, and metallic while it gave a loud boom. The eye was sneering at Ash and then it focused back on the battlefield.

"Welcome one and all to the Saffron City Pokémon Gym. This will be a full six on six battle between Sabrina and the challenger…Ash Ketchum," announced the eye.

"You know my name," Ash stuttered.

"I'm part of Sabrina, and I read minds. Of course I know your name," the eye declared, "This battle will go on until all six Pokémon on one side can not continue. Sabrina will reveal her Pokémon first!"

Sabrina was holding a Pokeball as it levitated into the air and forward its way towards the battlefield. Ash was wondering who her first Pokémon would be.

"Come out Jynx," Sabrina muttered.

The Pokeball opened and it revealed a Jynx. Ash didn't have Rotom Dex with him since it was a doll, so he can't get any information on any of her Pokémon. The only thing Ash can do is assume they're all psychic types.

Now came the hard part, who was Ash going to send out first. He didn't want Haunter out right away, and Ash knew it would be best to save Greninja for last. Maybe he should use one of his newer Pokémon first. Ash was trying to figure out who would be the best bet, and then he decided as he gripped the Safari Ball on his belt.

"Tauros, I choose you!" Ash called out.

Tauros emerged from his Pokeball and gave out a loud moo. It probably made sense that Ash went with Tauros first since he may be considered the strongest of his newer Pokémon. After all, he was a herd leader.

Ash took a deep breath. Serena was not here to cheer her on, and neither were the rest. But Ash knew deep down, that wherever they were, they were rooting for him. Ash was not going to fail them he was going to succeed.

Little did Ash know, that behind the door in which he came in from, Sabrina's father was watching. He teleported into the gym after knowing that Ash was willing to save her daughter. Now here he was about to engage in a full clash with Sabrina.

"So you've decided to come back young man and come face to face with Sabrina. I believe in you," said Sabrina's father.

Ash's eyes were locked onto Sabrina while Sabrina's emotionless eyes were locked onto Ash. Tauros was worried as he never really had a proper battle before. Ash was even trying to get out due to that. Now Ash was going to believe in him and the rest of his Pokémon.

While he recalls on saving his girlfriend and the other Pokémon, he doesn't seem to remember that he has to save Sabrina too. Ash unfortunately had no idea on what he could do there, so all he can do is win this battle. He wasn't going to fail them now.

"I love you Serena, I will not let you down," Ash thought to himself.

"BEGIN!" the eye announced.

I'm going to end the chapter right here! I said Ash would return to the gym, but the gym battle will be under way next chapter. It's a two-part chapter as Ash will have his first full six on six battle. Ash is in huge trouble as half of his team isn't even ready for a gym battle. We'll see if Ash can pull something out.

I actually came up with the idea of having a giant eye being the judge because an eye can be a symbol for psychic powers. Also, it gives out that terrifying hellish vibe since Sabrina is considered to be cold and dangerous.

As mentioned the poll is closed on whether you want Munchlax will partake in Ash's final gym battle which will be for the Earth Badge. I have something to tell you all.

I will not be revealing the winner.

You'll have to wait until the final gym battle takes place to see if I write Munchlax into the battle. For right now, get ready for an action-packed battle between Ash and Sabrina which will begin next chapter. See you then!

Chapter 62: Mega Minds Part 1
