When Oliver opened his eyes, he was cuffed to a chair and so were Roy and Laurel, but they were not awake. Malcolm walked to Roy and inserted a tube into his mouth.

"What- what are you doing. Stay away from him" Oliver barked as he started to try and free himself.

"Calm down. Roy will be fine. He just needs him to forget, like your sister" Malcolm said.

"I knew you did something to her. Tell me how to fix it or I swear-" Malcolm cut Oliver off.

"I'm sure you do, but you soon you won't. Soon you are going to forget" Malcolm sneered.

"Never," Oliver said.

"What I gave Thea was a prototype. What I'm giving Roy is updated, this should move the process quicker"

Laurel stirred slightly just as Roy jolted awake from the concoction being poured down his throat. Once the tube was removed from his mouth, Roy began to cough furiously.

Oliver had finally freed himself at this point. He made his move when Malcolm turned around to prepare another dose another for Laurel. Oliver quickly got Laurel and Roy unbound.

Malcolm went to insert the tube into Laurel's mouth but Laurel had woken and blasted Malcolm with a Canary Cry. She jumped and lunged at Malcolm. He crashed to the ground, caught off guard and Laurel began whacking away at him. Roy pulled Laurel back.

"Hey, we don't attack innocent people" Roy shouted. Then Roy let go of Laurel and grabbed his head, cringing with an intense headache. He looked at Malcolm, his eyes burning with anger. "What did you do?"

"I know Malcolm destroyed the Glades one minute, and then I can't remember what he did, and then I remember" Roy was explaining to Oliver and Laurel as they walked back into the bunker with him.

The sound of wailing baby overtook overpowered Roy's voice and the three of them saw Nyssa leaning over Felicity's shoulder while Felicity's son cried a few feet away. Felicity looked up. "Don't worry about him. He just wants attention. Thank god, you guys are alright"

"We are. But Roy needs help" Oliver said as he went for the medical kit. "Roy, I am going to take a blood sample and send it to Caitlin. She can at least breakdown the components of what Malcolm dosed you with. Then you're resting on the cot until Thea can pick you up".

"Um, okay this is really embarrassing, but needles scare me," Roy said.

Oliver smiled. "Really? Laurel, will you hold his hand?"

Laurel took Roy's hand and gave Roy a comforting smile while Oliver sanitized the area he would be sticking. Laurel got Roy talking about Thea and other stuff and before he knew it, it was over.

"I can't believe that worked. You are definitely a mother, Laurel" Roy remarked with a half-hearted chuckle.

"William used to be scared of needles too" Laurel shared.

Oliver frowned for a moment, thinking about missing those years. Leaving the love of his alone to bear the responsibilities to their child. And that was the moment he made his final decision, he was going to kill Malcolm Merlyn. The risk of fighting Ra's Al Ghul was too great and he just didn't feel right about what he was putting Laurel through. Laurel was strong and resilient, but still, Oliver knew that she had taken just about all she could take.

All of sudden, Oliver grabbed Laurel into a hug. "Roy, go rest now. I'll call Thea in a few minutes". Oliver spent those next few minutes in silence, just hugging his girlfriend. Laurel got comfortable in Oliver's arms, being held like she was the most precious living thing in the universe. She wished that time would freeze her and him in this moment.

Emiko opened her eyes and saw her brother watching her. She sat up. "Hi".

"Emiko, I'm Oliver"

"I know who you are, Oliver," Emiko said. "It's good to meet you"

"You too. I'm glad you came here" Oliver said.

"Me too. Laurel has been very nice. Is she your fiance?" Emiko asked.

"She will be, someday," Oliver said. "And hopefully, you'll be at our wedding".

"So you don't hate me?" Emiko asked.

"No, I don't hate you. I have no reason to hate you. You are my sister and I love you as much as I love my other sister. Neither of my parents was perfect, but that isn't your fault and it isn't Thea's" Oliver said.

"Right, Thea. My mother and our father always fought about Thea" Emiko said. "Screaming matches that always resulted in dad leaving".

"Emiko, no one will leave you ever again. We're family. Me, Laurel, Thea, and her boyfriend, Roy, and my son and daughter, we are your family" Oliver said.

Emiko gave her brother a half-smile. "Oliver, this apartment isn't big enough for five people".

"Which is why Laurel and I are going to interview several different adoptive families, but Emiko, I promise we will get your approval and we will not settle. And we all always be in your life from this point forward," Oliver said.

Emiko nodded. "Are you The Arrow?"

"What?" Oliver asked.

"Oliver, I'd rather know the truth now, then find out later. I kinda know already, but I need to know you. I may be only eleven, but I have enough lies in my life" Emiko begged of Oliver.

Oliver sighed. "Yes, Emiko. I am"

"Do you how my mother died?" Emiko asked.

"I do," Oliver said. "And I will tell you what you should know, but do you promise to believe me?"

"I don't know. But so far, your honesty track record is good" Emiko said.

"I'm gonna go to sleep, Emiko. Laurel left some food for you to reheat on the counter, but don't worry, she didn't make it" Oliver said.

The team met up in the bunker on Oliver's request. "Thank you for coming," Oliver said.

"Yeah, of course. We are a team" John said.

"Which is why I wanted all of you to know about the deal Ra's Al Ghul offered me and what I decided". Everyone was silent so Oliver continued. "It's why Nyssa is present. Nyssa came here on behalf of Ra's, offering me the choice to kill Malcolm Merlyn. If I kill Merlyn, I don't have to face Ra's".

"I gather you've come to a decision, but if I may offer my opinion, don't take the deal, man. Face Ra's. After all, who made Malcolm the monster he is" John said.

"Malcolm has always been the way he is," Laurel said. "The Leauge of Assassins may have given Malcolm the tools he needed to carry out his twisted ambitions, but they were Malcolm's ambitions, coming from him and him alone".

"W-w-wait, Malcolm... what did he do again?" Roy said and Oliver quickly pulled up an article about the undertaking for Roy to read.

"Why can't Roy remember the undertaking?" Nyssa asked.

"I will bring you and John and Felicity up to speed, but first, I have made my decision. And Nyssa, I am taking the deal" Oliver said.

"Are you sure, man?" John asked.

"Yes. I'm taking the deal" Oliver repeated.

Roy looked up from the computer. "I remember the Undertaking, but Malcolm's drug is like a memory inhibitor for the connection between the undertaking and himself".

"Well the articles don't lie," Laurel said.

"I support your decision, Oliver, and I know that Thea would too... if she was herself. But for the sake of my relationship with her. I think it would be best for me to take a step back from the team until this dealt with" Roy said.

"Nyssa, I'm sure your father wants this done within a certain time frame," Oliver said.

"My father is not known for his patience. My father is giving you two weeks. No exceptions. If you exceed that time, then he will wait no longer and come to Star City himself" Nyssa warned.

"To fight me" Oliver assumed.

"To kill Merlyn and take you back to Nanda Parbat. My father will not accept the fight to take place anywhere but his home turf" Nyssa said.

"Okay, well, then tell your father that I- I accept".

When Roy returned home that night, Thea was waiting for him. "Damn it. I was hoping the take out would be here before you were home".

"Why?" Roy asked.

"I ordered your favorite" Thea responded.

"Well, then I'm glad I beat the delivery" Roy snarked. "Because I know we have the same favorite".

"So, what did Oliver want?" Thea asked.

"Oh, nothing," Roy said.

"Roy-no. We don't keep secrets" Thea demanded and Roy looked at her for a minute.

"Look, it is nothing, because I am taking some time away from the team".

Thea furrowed her eyebrows. "Why?"

"I want to spend more time with you," Roy said.

"We spend plenty of time together" Thea countered. Roy tried to respond but Thea cut him off. "Roy something Ollie said or did is the reason you are stepping away. I can talk to Ollie, maybe Laurel can"

"No..." Roy said under his breath as he shook his head.

"No?" Thea asked. "Then will go ask Oliver what happened myself".

Oliver was sitting on the edge of his bed, watching the news, while Laurel was sleeping. "In local news, Superman's cousin, Supergirl has officially joined the family business. Supergirl's first act of heroism was early this morning when the girl of steel saved a crashing airplane flying over Starling City. Shortly after, the heroine flew away and has not been spotted since"

Oliver smiled and turned the tv off. He got under the covers next to Laurel. Laurel opened her and smiled purely at Oliver. "Hey".

"Hey, sleeping beauty" Oliver joked.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"Never better," Oliver said.

"So, are you gonna talk to Thea?"

"I guess I owe her a conversation" Oliver admitted.

Laurel nodded.

"Anything interesting in the news?" Laurel asked.

"Supergirl saved a plane this morning," Oliver said.

"Really?" Laurel asked, excitedly.

"Um-hmm" Oliver nodded.

"Oliver, that's amazing. I'm really proud of you" Laurel said.

"Proud of me?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah. Do you think there would a Supergirl, or a Flash, or even a Black Canary without The Arrow? I know at times you are ashamed of the person you are but when I look at you, babe, not only do I see the man I love, but I see a man who started a cycle of heroes, and something that will last long after he is gone" Laurel said.

"I love you," Oliver said right before he started passionately kissing her and rolled on top of her.
