Hello! Welcome back to another chapter of TDB. Sorry for the delay as life has been very busy as of late and won't be changing anytime soon, but don't worry, that won't deter my writing. I appreciate your guys' patience and hope you enjoy.

This wasn't beta-read so I apologize in advance.

Many Years Ago…

James was unable to focus for reasons he couldn't quite comprehend yet. He looked out the diners window, finding himself seeing Leblanc's reflection on the glass, her amber eyes meeting his. He'd finished his burger quickly, but made slow work of his fries while Vi was really enjoying hers. Jani neatly ate her smile fries, taking several bites with her small mouth to finish one off.

"So uh, Leblanc right?" Vi asked with her mouth full. The woman looked up from her salad, brow quirked. "What brings you here?"

"Please swallow before you speak dearie." Leblanc replied.

Vi scoffed, choosing to keep eating while James finally looked at her correctly. Leblanc seemed to sense his gaze, looking at him and smiling while taking another bite of her salad.

"I am curious; what brings you here? Or what are you doing here anyway in this part of Zaun?" He asked.

Leblanc used her napkin first. "I'm here on business Mr. Holland."

"What kind of business?" Vi asked with her mouth not full this time. "More shady business practices like most in Zaun?"

"Heavens no, at least I don't consider them to be like that." Leblanc mused. "I'd put it more like a charity."

Scoffing, Vi spoke. "Charities and Zaun don't mix. You must've just gotten off the plane."

"Hardly." Leblanc waved off. "I've seen much worse in other places. Zaun isn't any different."

"So what exactly are these charities?" Vi further questioned. She noticed Leblanc didn't heed her words as she was looking at James again, the woman looking quite keen. "Hello in there?"

Leblanc turned to Vi, looking annoyed like she'd been enjoying blankly staring at James. The young man looked at Vi, then Leblanc. Jani kept eating her fries.

"Forgive me dear, but I'm not sure I should be sharing any further information with you." Leblanc said with attitude. "You could be a secret representative of a company rivaled to mine."

Vi smiled out of irritation. Ridiculous reasons not to answer always made her agitated.

"You almost done with your salad?" She asked.

"Why? Do you want me to go?" Leblanc replied. "If so, you should've spoken up before."

"Why don't we take a moment to just relax?" James intervened.

Vi sighed. She looked elsewhere in thought to make her cheeks less flustered. The pinkette just had a suspicious feeling of this woman.

"Should I cover my ears?" Jani asked.

James saw Vi still cooling off. He put his hand on the girls shoulder. "No Jani, nobody's going to say no-no words."

Leblanc's focus shifted to Jani when James said that. She spat out an amused chuckle and slowly pushed her empty salad aside.

"Sorry darling, I never took the time to ask; are you his little sister or something like that?" She asked.

Jani wordlessly nodded, Leblanc's teeth showing with her smile. "Aw, well that's just sweet. Might I ask what you were doing with these two in this part of Zaun? Doesn't look like the place for a young child."

"That's complicated." Vi bluntly answered, still looking away. Leblanc's smile vanished for a moment.

"You said you run a charity here?" Jani asked. "What charity is it? Do they have toys?"

Leblanc chuckled. "Not quite that sort of charity dearie, but on rare occasions it does have things that are like toys."

"What does that mean?"

"You ask a lot of questions." Leblanc commented leaning toward the table a little bit. "I bet you're a great student in school."

Jani giggled and looked down a little bit, unaware of her blushing that made the pale woman grin. At the same time, James had been watching Leblanc, but when the woman leaned against the table top, her chest squished against it, creating an ample shape of her cleavage.

"I don't go to school." Jani confessed. "Mommy said it meant she couldn't get sugar anymore."

Leblanc's brow rose. She slowly frowned and sat back down. "Well that's a shame. What do you mean by sugar?"

James had been deaf up to this point. He knew what Jani was referring to about his mother and sugar.

"I don't think that's necessary. It's not a big deal." He warned off.

"But you and mommy were often arguing over why she used it." Jani replied looking at him. "She often ate it with her nose."

By this point Leblanc figured out what Jani was referring to. In a rare moment of sympathy, she sighed and slumped against the cushioned booth.

"I'm very sorry to hear that." She confessed. "If you don't mind me asking further-"

"What if we do?" Vi asked fully turning to Leblanc. The woman stopped to hold her glance.

"If you don't mind me asking, how are you two getting by? I trust your mother's not bringing in the money?" Leblanc further asked.

"Alright lady, you're getting a little too personal." Vi warned.

James had to agree with that, but he didn't want to come off as rude. Leblanc seemed to be caring enough at least.

"Forgive me, but are you this little girls sister?" Leblanc questioned. "What's your relation to her?"

"I don't have to explain that." Vi retorted. "All you need to know is she and James are family to me."

Quirking her brow, Leblanc smiled. "So you're not a bloodline to her? I don't believe you have a say in what I can ask them then."

Vi's eye twitched. James was done being quiet, putting his hand on Vi's shoulder before leaning toward Leblanc. "We appreciate your concern Leblanc, but Vi has a point. We did invite you to join us, but that doesn't mean you can ask us personal questions right off the bat."

Her amber eyes narrowed. "Well that was sort of the point I accepted the offer Mr. Holland."

"Call me James." He replied.

"James." Leblanc repeated. She felt a tingly feeling inside saying that. "Why else would I have joined you?"

"Because you want to sleep with him?" Vi sarcastically asked. "You seem like the person who's a cougar."

Leblanc looked at the pinkette, astounded with her cheeks turning red for a moment. James kicked Vi's legs and the girl scoffed.

"Well, I know when I'm not welcome anymore." Leblanc indigently. "I thank you for inviting me for lunch. I can pay for my own."

While Vi seemed relieved of this, James wasn't the same. Yet again, he couldn't wrap his finger around it. He just needed Leblanc to stay a little longer.

"Wait, wait." He stood up, reaching to Leblanc's wrist and managing to grasp it. The woman silently gasped, slowly peering at James. Vi's brow rose as Jani loudly sipped what was left of her soda drink. "Please, don't leave yet."

The woman's brow rose with the corners of her lips almost doing that, but she restrained it. Leblanc didn't say anything yet.

"Why don't you want me to?"

James didn't know how to answer that. He let go, sitting down with Vi staring at him with uncertainty. Choosing to grant his wish, Leblanc seated herself back down. Vi glared at her, but felt the small hands of Jani tug her sleeves.

"What's up kiddo?"

"Aunt Vi, I need to use the little girls room." She said.

Vi sighed. "I knew I shouldn't have let you have a soda. That stuff goes right through ya." She chuckled. "James, I'll be right back, and hopefully it'll only be you that's here."

Leblanc rolled her eyes, ignoring Vi's glare as she held Jani's hand and led her to the washrooms. The woman eyed the little girl until she was out of viewpoint.

"She's a sweet little girl… James." Leblanc seemingly cooed. "Can't say I'm a big fan of your friend though, or that she's a fan of me."

"Hmm." James mumbled.

It was time for Leblanc to move in. "So, are you going to tell me why you asked me to stay?"

His cheeks colored red. James still looked at her eye-to-eye. "It's not important."

"Oh but it is to me." Leblanc refused his answer. She stood up, placing her palms on the table and leaning, her heightened figure giving her an intimidating look. "Come my darling, you can tell me." She ushered.

James's throat was sore and felt devoid of moisture. Leblanc already knew why he asked her not to leave yet, but she wanted to hear it. However, the young man still didn't let up and Leblanc was burning seconds.

"Is it because you might see me as a solution to your situation here?" She asked.

After that, Leblanc left her booth, shortly strutting to James's booth with the young man looking at her with larger eyes. Leblanc's cheeks were warm, but she went in. She plopped herself down in the seat, sliding her rear across until her hip bumped into James's. He flinched upon this feeling, Leblanc's skirt allowing the true smoothness of her figure to be felt against James's side.

"What're you doing?" James asked, subtly alarmed by this sudden change in proximity.

"It's not fair for you to ask questions, yet leave mine unanswered." Leblanc softly hissed. "Why do you not want me to leave? I thought getting closer would've helped." She bit back a snicker.

James huffed, wanting to inch himself away from this woman suddenly. Alas, he couldn't go any further with the positioning. Leblanc observed him with suspicions, and chose to pull the bottom of her skirt up a little, revealing the beauty of her upper, pantyhosed thighs. She then stretched and yawned, crossing her legs to show more skin.

"It is upsetting to me that you can't answer a simple question." Leblanc sighed.

That got James to look over at her again, and he unwillingly fell into the woman's setup. His eyes looked down to Leblanc's thighs, proof of her taking care of her body evident. They looked firm, yet supple. James's mind briefly envisioned what Leblanc's rear would look like. With the size of her upper thighs, her rear had to have a curve to say the least.

James sighed to himself.

"Alright…" He finally drew out. Leblanc slowly turned her head, her inner feeling one of satisfaction. "Look, the reason I didn't want you to leave is… well yes you are a viable solution to our problems, or situation as I should put it."

"Nonsense." Leblanc replied. "I love to help others with their problems. See? Was that so difficult to answer dear?"

James shook his head, his palm against his temple as Leblanc silently giggled. She decided to go for it, looping her arm around his far shoulder and then pulling him closer. James let out a tensed gasp, reeling his head which would've been a spot for Leblanc's chin if he didn't.

"But there's more to it, isn't there?" Leblanc asked, not letting this go.

He resisted an exasperated sigh, but Leblanc was gaining on him. The woman's closing movement gave James the message that she'd try and kiss him right here, but Leblanc didn't do that. She certainly had him in her grasp though.

"Is it the fact that having someone like Vi watching your back isn't enough… or that you need someone other than a friend to tell you it'll be alright?" Leblanc whispered sensually into his ear. James shuddered, yet he found himself slowly, ever-so slowly sinking into Leblanc's actions.

"What're you doing?" He asked, voice strained. It made Leblanc smile inside.

"I'm showing you the solution to your worries darling." She said, hushed and seductive. "That if you're worried about Vi not being enough to support you and your sister through this… I'm going to be right here."

Those words were comforting to James, yet when he processed them in his mind… they sounded too good to be true. They'd just met not twenty minutes ago… and yet it was like he'd known her longer than that.

Didn't make sense.

"Why are you doing this." James said, his voice more assertive and controlling. Leblanc felt her control slip away for a moment. She had to get that back.

"Do I need to explain?" Leblanc rhetorically asked. "Tell me James… would I ever lie?"

As James was about to speak, Leblanc seized his shoulders and pressed her lips against his. She closed her eyes while James's were wide open, but he didn't squirm away. Leblanc held it that way for moments before ending it, leaving James speechless and astonished.

"Listen, if you need my help… take this." Leblanc said handing him a card. "You'll know what to do."

After that, the woman left the booth swiftly and was out of the diner before James could get out of the booth as well. He was left standing with some eyes looking at him before looking out the window to see any sign of Leblanc. There was nothing.

James sighed after plopping in the booth again, pinching his bridge and looking up to see Vi returning with her hand holding Jani's small one. James slipped the card into his pocket, straightening himself out.

"Well glad she's finally gone." Vi said sitting where Leblanc had been. "Oh and James, remind me never to give this little hyper thing a soda again. She's gonna be up for hours tonight!"

He did a humorless chuckle. James didn't register when Jani hugged him for a few moments, but he picked her up and stared into her eyes. "You feel better now?"

She nodded. "Yes! Those fried potatoes were very filling!"

"Good to know." James chuckled.

"So, should we go now? I'd like to get back home and make sure the water wasn't left running. For some reason I feel like those assh-, uh a-holes I mean would do something like that." Vi avoided cursing.

Once again, James humorlessly chuckled. He wasn't quite in an energetic mood right now. Vi noticed.

"Hey, James you good?" She asked.

He blinked twice like he'd been daydreaming. Vi quirked a brow, and upon inspecting James for a moment, she saw something on his lips. It was dark, looked a bit like lipstick.

"Hey James you got a little…" She tapped her mouth as a hint.

"Hmm?" James's cheeks reddened a little when realizing what she was referring to. He wiped it with a napkin and gave Vi a sly smile. "Thanks Vi."

She smiled back, but that quickly vanished. Something clearly happened.

Evelynn's throat was sore as she and James continued to walk down the studios hallway. The diva could feel his eyes on her accompanied by an unconvinced glare. She dismissed his question, saying it was nothing, but James wasn't buying it. Sighing, Evelynn stopped with James doing it immediately, telling the diva he was keenly attentive.

"What's the problem darling?" She asked.

"What did Culda mean by 'video'?" Replied James, having asked that several times already.

Evelynn rolled her eyes. "I already told you, it's nothing important. Alright?"

"If it's nothing then why is your face so red? You look tense." He pointed out.

"Probably because I don't want to raise my voice and cause a scene!" Evelynn quietly hissed. "It's getting harder with your persistence sweetie."

"Why can't you just tell me."

The diva's hands clenched, wanting to lash out, but she kept her cool. She smiled pleasantly at her bodyguard who waited patiently.

"Alright honey, you win. Culda has a video of us from that night at the club. Remember? The one we left early to take care of something more personal and sensual?" She flirtatiously said.

James's eyes went on alert. His lips separated in mild shock. Evelynn stopped smiling, slumping her shoulders as she sighed.

"There, happy?" She asked dismissively.

"Hang on." James countered. "You're saying someone was filming us?"

"Yes." Evelynn flatly admitted. "It's what people do at clubs sweetie. Not quite my thing, but I'm not opposed to it either."

"How long were they doing it for?" James cautiously asked.

The diva could sense his fear and it was understandable. Still, she kept it casual and didn't fret too much.

"You're going to have to keep your voice down sweetie." She said. "To put it simple, yes they filmed us kissing. It's shocking I know, but trust me, it's nothing big."

James sighed immediately after she said they'd been caught kissing on camera. He pinched his nose as his stomach wrenched, slumping against the wall as Evelynn started to speak further to ease the feeling.

"Sweetie, sweetie, listen to me." She advised. "It's nothing to be concerned about."

"Really?" James questioned, baffled by her ability to shrug this off so simply. Or so it appeared anyway. "How am I supposed to not be concerned about this? They literally caught us on film kissing Evelynn."

"I know, I know," She soothed. Evelynn chose to press her body against his, arms around his lower back to comfort him. James genuinely looked concerned and it was honestly something Evelynn didn't like. "But darling, I'll tell you again, it's nothing to be worried about." She cooed softly. Evelynn's voice had that effect to ease the anxiety of every person, and James was no exception. He calmed down, shoulders slumping with a defeated look.

"And why is it not to be worried about?" James asked, sounding relaxed. This made Evelynn smile.

"Because if such a thing was ever leaked to the public, which it won't be, I'll be the one taking most of, if not all the heat from the public and media." Evelynn soothed. She inched herself up higher so they were almost evened in height. "And this wouldn't be the first scandal I'd be involved with darling. I can handle it."

Despite the confidence Evelynn's aura emitted and her charming, seductive yet calming smile, James wasn't entirely convinced.

"So why didn't you tell me first-hand?" James asked, causing Evelynn to sigh. "If it was that easy to spill then just say it."

"Sweetie, do you really want to do this?" She asked exasperated.

As much as he wanted to remain ticked at her for keeping this, or trying to, from him, James didn't feel like antagonizing Evelynn for this matter. After all she and Ahri had just temporarily fired their manager.

Besides… it was Evelynn. She knew what she was doing.

"No, I don't." James muttered. "Sorry."

"It's okay sweetie…" Evelynn cooed. "I understand your reason for worrying." She walked to him and cupped his head. "Now come on, give me a kiss."

His brow rose, but James agreed anyway. Before they did, he stopped Evelynn who opened her eyes that soon showed annoyance.

"Just… no more secrets. Alright?" He asked gently. "Not any that could threaten this anyway."

Evelynn exhaled and smiled. She nodded and they both kissed for only a second, a soft smooch sounding as Evelynn cooed. James smiled shortly after and Evelynn turned around to continue walking. They walked until they reached the studios lobby where, upon entering, found a situation occurring at the desk. Evelynn saw some security guards crowding around two people, one of whom was engaged in a heatedly growing discussion with June. Her hair color was similar to Evelynn's, being just a tad darker. The other person had long blonde hair with hints of red on the front locks.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Xayah, but as I've stated already; Culda is unavailable." June calmly replied.

"I know you said that, but something tells me your bullshitting me!" The woman loudly replied. "And if you don't tell these brutes to give us space, I can't be held responsible for what will happen next!"

"Xayah, babe? Maybe you could lower your voice just a little?" The man advised with a wince. "You're causing a scene."

"I'll lower my voice when I see Culda, Rakan!" Xayah spat back. "And you know what? Perhaps a scene is what we need! Draw the heat off her!"

"I'm sorry, but if you can't keep your voice down, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." June advised and warned.

"I won't ask again… where. Is. Culda." Xayah seethed.

"Security please escort them off the premises." June requested.

Xayah's eyes flared and she turned around to see the security guards closing in around her and Rakan. It seemed like all hell would break loose, but Xayah loudly told them to stop. Security obeyed her request and the woman inhaled sharply to calm herself.

"We don't need to be escorted off the premises." Xayah begrudgingly muttered. "I'll come back when Culda is available."

June nodded dismissively. She saw the security give room from the couple. Rakan quietly gave Xayah some calming advice and the girl begrudgingly nodded. She chose to walk ahead of him and reached the elevator. Upon waiting for the arrival, Xayah looked around and a few moments later her eyes fell on Evelynn. She recognised that hair color anywhere. It looked like she'd have another outburst, but instead she glowered distantly and entered the elevator with Rakan.

Evelynn's eyes were on Xayah the whole time since she entered the lobby. She knew Xayah was a friend of Culda. She and Rakan were a model couple Evelynn had seen on the cover of fashion magazines or entertainment a few times. While never having met them in-person, Evelynn always felt a bad vibe from Xayah.

"Who was that?" James asked, causing Evelynn to look briefly. She hummed.

"Xayah and Rakan, models who happen to be together." She commented. "Also friends of Culda if you didn't notice."

"Oh I did. Think they're here because of what happened last night?"

"Obviously sweetie." Evelynn replied. "Why else would they come here to help their alcoholic friend?"

James sighed. "Evelynn you just fired her. Cut her some slack."

Evelynn shrugged. It annoyed James how dismissive she could be. He wasn't a fan of Culda either, but she'd shown she had bits of a good heart.

"What do you think they'll do when they find out she's gone?"

"She's not gone forever James." Evelynn retorted. "It's temporary. At least until we finish the single."

"Hmm."

Evelynn walked with James following her. The diva gave June a smile when passing with the secretary doing the same. The security had disbanded, making the elevators free to walk to. Like Xayah, Evelynn surveyed the lobby when waiting. Upon doing this, her eyes, and a handful of others, fell upon a woman they recognised heading for an adjacent elevator, a case in her hand with a hunched posture.

The diva saw all eyes on Culda who lifelessly waited for her elevator. Evelynn's opened with a ding and that caused the former manager to look in that direction. Evelynn looked back at Culda, and despite the distance between… the diva could see regret and sadness all over her.

Evelynn entered the elevator with James and the door closed.

Kayn was quick to get up this morning. Despite not working until the afternoon, the young man didn't feel like resting. He hadn't slept well either. He could hear his phone constantly buzzing from missed calls and unread texts from his mother. The fact he knew it was Syndra without looking made his blood boil.

He took a short, chilly shower to give ease, quickly getting dressed. While his body temperature had eased from the shower, he heard his phone buzz again and that sent the feeling back to a boil. With a low growl, Kayn opened his phone to read the most recent message which happened to be the longest.

Syndra: Kayn, listen to me. You probably despise me right now and I can understand why. It's not easy for people to hear the truth for what it is, especially when it's your parents telling you said truth. I know you're old enough to make your own decisions, but remember Kayn; I'm your mother, adopted mother I should add. I picked you out of love, compassion, and you will do as I say. I'll only say this once more; you will not see that girl. Ever again.

Kayn felt the veins in his neck become visible. His biceps flexed as he stared contemptuously at the words, each one making his blood boil further. Kayn finally answered back.

Kayn: I'll be sure to take that under advisement. Goodbye, Syndra.

After that, the young man put her on mute. He wouldn't block her despite how much she deserved it. Kayn knew calling her by her name instead of 'mother' would frustrate Syndra as she always reminded him to call her mon, mommy, or mother when he was younger. Feeling his temperament reside, Kayn left the bedroom and the living room.

Upon entering, Kayn found Rhaast on the couch having toast with the television on. The red-haired man saw Kayn approaching and quickly switched the channel. Kayn uttered a chuckle, seeing that the series Star Guardians was on.

"Well morning. You're up early." Rhaast said.

"Morning Rhaast, why'd you change the channel?" Kayn asked.

"Um, no reason. I just happen to like… wait is this Star Guardians?"

"Give me that." Kayn muttered snatching the remote from the armrest as Rhaast's eyes widened.

"W-Wait, you don't wanna do that!"

"Too late." Kayn said switching the channel back. The show 'Primetime with Draven and Janna' was on with their topic about Syndra and K/DA. Kayn wished he'd listened to Rhaast now and put the remote on the couch.

"Told ya." Rhaast shrugged.

"Can't say I'm surprised." Kayn sighed. "She always was one to be involved with situations like these."

"Except now it's got a personal effect on you right?" Rhaast asked. "You know, given that it's kinda a Romeo and Juliet situation with you and that pretty girl, minus her family not hating yours far as I can tell."

"Thanks Rhaast, I could've guessed that last part." Kayn sarcastically said.

"Hey man, just giving my input. So, what're you gonna do about it?"

Kayn hadn't thought much about that honestly. Rhaast had a good point. What was he gonna do about it?

"Well I think it's safe to say I'm going with what my brain tells me." Kayn said confidently.

"You're gonna go off the grid and start a new life?" The man snickered.

"No asshole, I'm going to do what I should've done last night." Kayn growled. "After the incident happened…"

"Oh, you're going to get down on one knee and pop the question?"

"Rhaast… sometimes I can't tell if you're joking, or just naively stupid." Kayn seethed.

"Dude you're talking to a guy who spent the entirety of his youth playing video games inside. I mean hell, I never went to prom." Rhaast said putting his hands up. "Truthfully I am joking in some aspects. Just trying to lighten the mood."

Kayn sighed, feeling less tense. Rhaast wasn't the brightest, but he always tried to keep things light when Kayn was troubled.

"I'm sorry." Sighed Kayn.

"Don't be, you have every right to be troubled." Rhaast said. "Hey, at least the place is cleaned up right?"

That made Kayn smile. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't surprised by Rhaast actually cleaning up. "It is, thanks Rhaast."

They both traded smiles, Rhaast choosing to end the series of questions as Kayn walked into the kitchen, pouring a glass of orange juice. He thought about what he could do to solidify his relationship with Akali and to show he wasn't going anywhere. A publicity stunt wasn't what he needed. He only had to show Akali that he wasn't going anywhere.

He was tired of texting. He wanted to do better than that. It then hit Kayn what he could do, but he suddenly felt embarrassed given that he wasn't fully sure if it was correct. Taking out his phone, Kayn texted not Akali, but Vi instead. She was his best bet.

Kayn: Hey Vi, sorry if I caught you at a bad time but I'm curious, what's Akali's favorite food?

Music from the player filled the kitchen with an upbeat tune that would make anyone's day start off pleasant. Kai'sa was in a purple, fuzzy robe as she danced to and sung the lyrics of the song while making breakfast. She didn't know when Evelynn or Ahri would be back so she decided to make enough for her and Akali. No breakfast for the K/DA's bodyguards sadly. Kai'sa wondered if she should blast the music out the window for Riven and Vi to hear as they were at the gate leading up to the household, keeping back a crowd of fans and paparazzi who were all about last nights' events.

I'm a hot air balloon that could go to space, With the air, like I don't care baby by the way, Huh, because I'm happy, Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof, Because I'm happy, Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth

The sound of fast footsteps descending down the stairs interrupted Kai'sa's singing, the dancer leaning to see who was coming. Couldn't have been Akali.

"Here come bad news, talking this and that, (Yeah) Well, give me all you got, and don't hold it back!" Akali's voice sang distantly.

Kai'sa saw the rapper eagerly rush into the kitchen, skidding to a stop with a glimmering smile and excited eyes. It made the dancer chuckle.

"Well good morning there. Someone's feeling good today!" Kai'sa whooped.

Akali grinned as she kept singing and dancing to the tune. Kai'sa couldn't stop smiling, feeling happy that Akali had quickly overcome last night's events. At least it seemed.

"Alright, alright how about you save that energy to burn off your breakfast?" Kai'sa jokingly said, turning down the music to Akali's disappointment.

The girl stuck her tongue out at Kai'sa who did it back. They both giggled and Akali sat down when Kai'sa placed the breakfast.

"How you feeling?" She asked sitting next to Akali with her own food.

Akali took a bite of the toast first, giving Kai'sa a 'one moment' gesture before speaking. "I'm feeling pretty damn great today!" She said, tone perky and not contradicting her words.

Kai'sa smiled, but wanted to make sure. "Well that's good to hear despite… you know… what happened…"

The rapper took a larger bite, quickly swallowing it. She glanced to Kai'sa, smirking now. Kai'sa's face had that expression of doubt and Akali understood.

"Yeah I know, I know." She muttered. "But when you have a boyfriend who genuinely cares about you, and a brother who'll support you no matter what, it's hard to feel down about something in the past!" Akali exclaimed.

Kai'sa grinned ear-to-ear. She did a flip of her hair and put her hand on Akali's shoulder. "See? I told you he cares!" She cheered. "You owe me three dollars for doubting me yesterday."

"I don't believe we made a bet."

"I did without your knowledge." Kai'sa playfully sneered. "Now pay-up." She held her palm out to Akali.

The rapper glanced at it, unamused and the dancer reeled back bringing her joke to an end. She chose to eat her breakfast and neither spoke until they were done. Kai'sa put the dishes in the sink as Akali stretched her arms with a groan, doing a few jogs in place to loosen up while looking around.

"Are Evelynn and Ahri here?"

Kai'sa peered to Akali. She had a hunch of where they were. "No I think they went to the studio, talk to Culda about last night."

Akali's brows went up. She'd honestly forgotten what'd happened after being splashed with wine. "Oh…"

"Yeah." Kai'sa winced. "I'm not sure what'll happen. Not sure if you overheard, but Sarah said she wasn't going to work with us if Culda was going to be our manager."

Akali frowned. Her shoulders lowered as her teeth sank into her lip. With a sigh, Akali spoke. "It's all my fault."

Kai'sa quirked her eyebrow. "What?"

"It's all my fault this happened. If I hadn't caused such a scene with Syndra this wouldn't have happened." Akali croaked.

"Hey, hey," Kai'sa moved to give Akali a brief hug. "None of that. I don't wanna see any of that on you today. Understood?" She ordered.

The girl was pouting, but she smiled when giving Kai'sa a nod. The dancer smiled, hugging Akali tighter this time. While doing so, she got an idea of how to shift the topic to something better.

"Speaking of work… how are those lyrics coming along?" She asked. "Don't mean to put any pressure on you."

Akali knew Kai'sa would never do that. The rapper liked the suggestion as prior to coming down, and last night after Kayn's text, she felt rejuvenated and hyper-active.

"They're coming along pretty smoothly now that you mention it." She answered.

"Would there be a chance to see them?" Kai'sa keenly asked.

Akali's eyes widened. Kai'sa held her smile and Akali debated in her mind.

"Not hearing a no." The dancer mused.

"Well I… I'm not sure if I'm ready yet to show them…"

"Too slow."

Akali saw Kai'sa bolt from the kitchen in a flash, the rapper quickly giving chase as the dancer laughed. Kai'sa almost fell down, having grabbed the railing as Akali pursued. The dancer fidgeted with the door, wheezing laughter as Akali almost tackled her, but Kai'sa managed to push it open with Akali tackling her from behind, both girls falling on the bed as with Kai'sa still in hysterics. Kai'sa spotted several sheets of paper on Akali's desk, extending her arm as Akali gasped. Despite being out of range, Akali pushed Kai'sa's head down on the sheets with the dancer giggling.

"They're not ready yet!" Akali jeered, getting off the bed.

"Oh come on, let me see!" Kai'sa gleefully protested, moving her head up as Akali grabbed the papers. With a wheeze, Kai'sa grabbed a pillow and hurled it at Akali. The rappers vision was obstructed and she pried the object off, returning fire to Kai'sa who ducked down.

"You wanna go?" Kai'sa challenged, preparing to hurl the other pillow.

Tempting as that was, Akali wasn't in the mood to cleanup the presumed aftermath. She shook her head, staring at the paper she held for a few moments. With a begrudged sigh, she offered it to Kai'sa without looking. The dancer smiled gleefully, but chose to be respectful of Akali's wishes. She gracefully took it, crossing her legs on the bed as she cleared her throat. Akali's arms crossed and she leaned on the wall, observing Kai'sa and paying attention to detail of her expressions.

Vi thought her ears would be bleeding by the end of the day. The crowd of fans and paparazzi were like nails on a chalkboard to her, their never-ending and repeated cries for the K/DA to step forward and acknowledge their managers actions or the usual screeching of them loving the idols again and again gave Vi a headache. Still, this was her job and she had to do it.

"Is there any reason you're still working for a piece of shit group who support violence against fantastic actresses?"

"Surely you don't represent the interests of the K/DA! Maybe they want to come out and answer us instead?!"

"As a bodyguard for the K/DA, was there any indication of such an incident happening?"

The questions were ridiculous. Vi didn't even know why they were asking her these questions. She noticed Riven wasn't being asked these questions and Vi assumed it was her cold, stoic expression that scared them off. Vi usually could do that, but she was still troubled over last night with Caitlyn.

"Why the hell are you K/DA's bodyguard when you're clearly not happy to work with them?! Why aren't you smiling you piece of shit?!"

Vi could feel her face turning red from anger. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a few moments to relax. Unfortunately, swift footsteps were heard and Vi saw one of the fans attempt to run past her. Immediately the pinkette grabbed the person and pushed them back. Riven tensed up.

"Hey that's assault! Don't fucking touch her again!" A fan stepped forward.

"You try and trespass like she did you won't be so lucky." Vi snarled, knowing she shouldn't be doing that.

"Hey fuck you pinkie!"

Vi wasn't sure to get further frustrated or laugh at that attempted insult. Regardless, the paparazzi seemed to inch back as the already rowdy fans started to become further unsettled.

"You're just like their manager! Assaulting people for no reason!"

"K/DA HIRES PEOPLE WHO ABUSE OTHERS FOR NO REASON CONFIRMED! CAN'T WAIT TO POST THIS!"

Vi knew her face was tomato red now. That was bullshit. Riven eyed her with concern. Vi did another deep breath, but when she opened her eyes, a fan had their phone right in her face, clearly recording her. Immediately Vi wanted solve this physically, but she resolved.

"Get the phone out of my face." She said, throat sounding sore.

"Sorry what? Can't hear the sound of you about to cry." The fan sneered.

"Get it out of my face."

"Make me!"

Vi obliged. In a swift motion, she snatched the phone from the man and threw it on the ground. Before a second passed, the man yelled and swung his arm at her, but Vi easily blocked it and pushed him down. The fans quickly clamored, some running toward Vi who stood her ground. Riven came to her aid and both bodyguards found themselves being swamped by the group of enraged fans. Some blows were heard landing as Vi felt bruises surface.

Through the brief scuffle, an authoritative voice thundered and Vi felt the plethora of punches cease against her. She could hear a woman's voice barking for the fans and paparazzi to leave. Vi saw a tall woman with blonde hair in sunglasses fearlessly marching face-to-face with the fans with a man who had a long ponytail accompanying her. Vi felt herself get helped up by Riven who had a few bruises on her face, but Vi's was bleeding in some parts. One more person joined the two who'd taken over the duty of keeping the crowd back, short compared to the two.

Then Vi saw a familiar face in front of her. They weren't smiling, just worried and meekly disappointed.

Caitlyn glanced back to the three with the tall woman looking at her.

"Thanks for the help Tianna!" Caitlyn shouted.

"No time for that, just get them inside! We can handle this!" Tianna shouted back. "Cithria, I've got this side covered, go help Xin!"

The young girl nodded and went over to the man. Vi groaned and Caitlyn clicked her tongue as she helped Riven carry Vi past the gate to the K/DA's household. Despite the situation, Vi chuckled.

"Nice to see you too Cupcake."

"Save it until you're inside." Caitlyn replied.

Kai'sa's eyes widened a few times, then narrowed the same amount. Her brows occasionally rose, but she'd get the realization of what the lyrics were meaning. She peered at Akali briefly, nodding approvingly and soon, she was grinning.

"We got it all in our hands now, So can you handle what we're all about, We're so tough, not scared to show you up, Can you feel the rush now?" Kai'sa mouthed.

Akali's insides wrenched in anxiety and hope.

"Ain't nobody bringing us, Down, down, down, down, down, down, They could try it, but we're gonna wear the crown, You could go another round, Round, round, round, round, round, round, Wish you luck, but you're not bringing us down"

After several moments, Kai'sa stood up, still holding the paper with both hands. She scoffed in amazement, and smiled to Akali as she gave it back. The rapper took it cautiously, looking very nervous.

"So… you like it?" She asked.

Kai'sa giggled. "'Like' might be a bit of an understatement. I think the more accurate term is I LOVE IT!" She exclaimed at the end causing Akali to flinch.

"Really?"

"Of course!" Kai'sa repeated. "I might've had a trickier time finding it out first-glance, but I see it now and it's just…" She inhaled and sighed happily. "So good."

Akali wondered if she was being really honest. Her lyrics weren't that good, not to her anyway. But then again, Evelynn did say they weren't bad.

"You're not messing with me right?" Akali asked concerned.

"Akali, it's me." Kai'sa answered putting her fingers on her chest. "Would I ever mess with you in something like this?"

That was a fair point. "I guess not."

"Oh come on." Kai'sa continued. She walked beside Akali and put her arm on her far shoulder while pointing at the lyrics. "I see exactly what you're going for here. Honestly I think this might be one of the more realist songs I've seen, if you catch my drift."

"I'm afraid I don't." Akali chuckled in response.

The dancer chuckled too and cleared her throat. "Remember how Culda continuously stressed about this single being our last shot? The beginning of our comeback?"

Akali wearily sighed. "Oh believe me I do."

"Well you're literally saying that right with these lyrics, except they're confident and inspiring." Kai'sa pointed. "And let me tell you, I've already got a good idea of how the dance choreography will fit in with these lyrics and tune."

The rapper had no idea what else to say. She could only smile timidly, feeling like this was too good to be true. She had to be dreaming. Akali pinched herself, but still found herself in this moment.

"And you wrote all this in like what, under the span of a few hours?" Kai'sa asked.

Akali shrugged. "Well I didn't write it all overnight, but a good portion of it is recent. Guess that's what happens when you have supportive friends."

"There you go." Kai'sa encouraged. She pulled Akali in for a short hug and distanced herself. "So, you going to write some more today? Actually don't answer that, it's not fair for me to put pressure on you."

Sighing with a soft laugh, Akali hadn't planned to do that, but with the energy she felt and the discovery of Kai'sa really digging her lyrics, Akali felt a positive boost.

"I think I will." She stated proudly. "Give Ahri and Evelynn something good to come home to eh?"

Kai'sa hummed less energetically. She wondered how those two were doing at the studio with Culda.

"I think that's a great idea." Kai'sa affirmed. "I'll leave you to it."

The dancer decided to turn around as Akali took a seat. Akali thanked Kai'sa before resuming her work, the dancer giving her a cheeky smile with a thumbs up.

The door to the household was abruptly pushed open moments later with the wall being hit. This startled Kai'sa and Akali and they quickly left the bedroom to see what was happening. They could see Vi being helped in by Riven and Caitlyn, the pinkette bloody which caused Kai'sa's eyes to widen.

"Oh my g-, you guys alright?!" She asked hurrying downstairs.

"Never better…" Vi groaned.

"What happened?"

"What happened is some of the K/DA's fans are very upset over last night's events." Riven groaned.

Akali felt her stomach wrench. She felt the guilt resurface.

"Shit…" Kai'sa sighed. "I'm so sorry about that."

"Don't be it's not your fault. Besides it's part of our job to get punched." Vi joked. She was seated in a chair with Caitlyn examining her. "Anything broken Cupcake?"

The woman sighed, a sad smirk at Vi. "Luckily no, but I'm going to assume you're the one who escalated the situation?"

Vi scoffed. "They were recording me with the phone right in my face. I asked them not to do it. So I threw it away."

Caitlyn exhaled. James and Shen were with their clients so she couldn't blame them for not being here.

"So who were those three that took the heat off us?" Riven asked, rubbing her bruised cheek.

"Some old friends of mine; Tianna and Xin Zhao. The young girl's Cithria. A bodyguard in training I think." Caitlyn answered.

"Oh yeah… thought they looked familiar. Good call Cait. How'd you know what was happening here?" Vi asked.

"Do you really think I'd leave the K/DA's household without having a set of eyes around? There are hidden cameras outside. My entertainment with my breakfast every morning." She chuckled. "And before you ask, we are going to charge those who assaulted you and Riven."

Vi scoffed. Kai'sa brought her and Riven bags of ice to put on their wounds. "Glad you came Cait."

The woman smiled sweetly, choosing to give Vi a peck on the cheek. That made the woman smile. Vi remembered that Akali was present, looking at the rapper with a smile, but that faded when seeing Akali's frown.

"Hey what's wrong Akali?"

"All this… all of this… it's because of me." Akali sighed. They could hear the weight in her words. "The upset fans, the situation with Culda, you and Riven being hurt… it's all because of me."

Her voice broke at the end as she used her hand to cover her face. Kai'sa did her usual action of hugging Akali as Vi shook her head and voiced her disagreement.

"No Akali, none of this is your fault. Taking punches from fans is part of a bodyguard's career you know." She joked. "But what happened last night wasn't your fault. Culda was the one who instigated it."

The mention of Culda with the situation made Akali feel worse. The rapper said nothing, pushing off Kai'sa's embrace with the dancer letting her go. Vi sighed as Akali ran up the stairs, slamming her door shut. She and Kai'sa traded looks before Caitlyn's sigh broke the silence.

"She's really gotta get a grip." The woman groaned.

"Caitlyn, come on, you see where she's coming from." Kai'sa defended.

"I do, but you can't keep playing the teddy bear for her if she's gonna go all teary when she does something like breaking a nail." Caitlyn answered.

"You really think that's a fair comparison?" Kai'sa asked with a baffled tone.

"No, but you get my point. I'm gonna go make sure they're doing okay out there." Caitlyn dismissed, marching out the door with Kai'sa glaring.

"She hungover from last night?" Riven asked.

"Let's just forget about it and move on." Vi sighed, putting more pressure on the ice pack. "Damn those kids are crazy."

"I'll go make you two some coffee." Kai'sa said.

"Can you put some Irish Cream in mine?" Riven asked.

Kai'sa laughed and Riven smiled. Vi sunk further into her seating, feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket. She took it out to see who'd texted her.

She grinned when seeing it was Kayn.

Evelynn enjoyed the relaxation of being a passenger in her car. It wasn't often she allowed herself to be driven anywhere unless it was under her own exceptions or traveling as a group in the K/DA. She could enjoy the scenery without worrying about colliding with a car or going out of her lane.

Alas there was unspoken tension felt from James, directed exclusively at her. The diva would've shrugged this off with anyone, but given that she was sleeping with this man and had feelings for him, she couldn't ignore it.

"Is something wrong James sweetie?" She asked.

"Hmm?" He mumbled, not interested in talking.

They approached a red-light, James's fingers tapping the steering wheel. Evelynn found that to be irritating for the silliest reasons. She chose to stop being subtle.

"James, are you mad I didn't tell you we were recorded that night at the club?" She asked.

James's head sunk. "What if I am?"

Evelynn knew he'd hate it if she chuckled, but she couldn't resist. James scoffed in disbelief.

"Okay, okay sweetie. I can understand you're upset about me not telling you, but you have to remember; I'm going to be taking most of the heat." She repeated from earlier.

"It's not that Evelynn." James said with his voice rising a little. He winced and sighed contemptuously. Evelynn's brows furrowed. "Look I'm sorry… I have a habit of overthinking things sometimes."

"Oh darling." Evelynn cooed, putting her hand on his arm. James released a relaxed breath form her touch mixed with her voice. "I'm sorry if I gave you the implication that I kept this hidden for ill-intentions. If you don't mind me asking… did your previous partner Leblanc do that?"

The mention of Leblanc made James's stomach wrench. He didn't answer that question and Evelynn frowned. She could understand where he was coming from, but there wasn't any reason for him to find out about the video unless she wanted to cause him deliberate anxiety. Her empathy rose within, and Evelynn slowly smiled as it came together.

"Darling, what street are we on?"

James checked the street sign. "Says we're on 51st Gottingen Street."

Evelynn smiled. "Wonderful! When you get to the light, take a left. There's a restaurant around here that I've had brunch at countless times. Would you be interested in joining me?"

He gave an exasperated look, but James smiled. "Sure."

The diva put her hand on his arm, meekly smiling as he looked at her before focusing on the road. Evelynn kept her hand on his arm until she pointed to the restaurant. He couldn't read the name of it as the sign caught most of his attention. It was a helmeted man and a ginger-haired woman in baker clothing with the woman giving him a whiff of her freshly cooked sausage.

"Who're those two on the sign? The owners?" James asked pulling in.

"You guessed right sweetie." Evelynn replied. "Pantheon and Leona; Owners of Targon Cuisines."

"Are they… a couple?"

Evelynn chuckled. "No sweetie, they're not. Fun fact though; Kayle's sister works here as a full-time baker." She giggled when James's eyes widened. "I know isn't it funny?"

"Certainly is!" James replied. "I can imagine that's an attraction for this place though right? 'Come meet the beloved baker and sister of the Legendary Pentakill Vocalist Kayle!'" James announced in a deep voice.

The diva shook her head. James was grinning ear-to-ear and she leaned to give him a peck on the cheek. That area was hot moments later and Evelynn kept smiling.

"Come on, let's find an outdoor table. Enjoy the sun."

James couldn't stop smiling. It was probably because this was their first time in public together that didn't involve business. Perhaps the nightclub counted, but that was before they slept together. Either way, James was happy right now. Of course, he kept the excitement to a minimum as he was still her bodyguard.

He followed Evelynn into the restaurant, finding it to be quite busy despite the limited number of cars outside. There wasn't as much attention to them as James expected, save for the approaching hostess who had long, silver hair. She greeted Evelynn like a friend from the way they kissed on the cheek.

"Evelynn, nice to see you again!" The woman said.

"Diana darling, you look great. How's Leona doing?"

"She's doing fine, hasn't been getting much sleep since we chose to adopt that little piece of heaven, Zoe."

"Didn't she once refer to Zoe as a little piece of Chaos?" Evelynn grinned.

"Shh." Diana said. "So the usual? Table for one in a booth?"

Evelynn shook her head. She glanced back to James who'd taken his precautionary stance, surveying the restaurant for any potential hazards. Diana looked at him too, brow raised.

"Table for two on the patio please." Evelynn requested.

Diana's brows moved suggestively, her eyes on James and looking at Evelynn who groaned quietly.

"Is this a date Evelynn?" Diana asked with her voice on an octave. The diva huffed and the hostess laughed. James looked at her upon hearing that. "Kidding. Follow me."

Evelynn and James followed Diana out to the patio where another couple resided in. Diana seated them a distance away as a means to add more privacy with the present couple seemingly appreciating that. Evelynn knew who it was, recognising that signature red hair of Katarina and handsome face of Garen.

Diana told them a server would be along shortly after seating and left the two.

"She seems nice." James commented as an ice-breaker.

"She really is." Evelynn agreed. "I see why Leona fell for her."

"So what'd she ask before seating us? Did she ask if this was a date?"

"Yes she did." Evelynn answered. She crossed her arms on the table, biting her lip and her cheeks turning a shady rose. "And to answer your question… yes. I suppose this is a date."

"Suppose?"

"Alright it's a date." She finally admitted.

James smiled, but something crossed his mind. It made him look worried and Evelynn noticed. "Wait did she know I'm your…"

"Ah, ah, ah." Evelynn dismissed. She moved left leg across her right under the table. "I don't want any worrying during our date sweetie." She grinned, playing with her side hair to sway James. "Come on, let's enjoy it."

"Yes. Lets." James agreed.

Evelynn's feet made their move, pressing against James's ankle with the man instantly jerking it away. He clearly didn't anticipate that, Evelynn wryly smirking while her right hand rested on her cheek. James felt her feet brush against his again, and with narrowed eyes, he moved his to meet hers again. Evelynn grinned cheekily, removing one shoe and using her bare toes to slide the pantleg of James's legwear up, brushing against his skin. James's eyes widened, his cheeks crimson red as Evelynn giggled.

The server arrived before things went any further, bringing the one-sided game of footsies to a close. Evelynn was asked if she wanted her usual which was a cobb salad, but given that this was her first unofficial date with James, along with him being asked to order first, Evelynn decided to have what he was having.

"Two plates of hash browns, bacon, and eggs?" The server asked.

"That's all sweetie."

"Excellent! Should be less than ten minutes!" They said with a smile before leaving.

"Bacon? Hash browns? Eggs?" James asked disbelieved. "I thought those were forbidden in the K/DA household."

Evelynn laughed. "Nothing wrong with a cheat day every now and then darling. Besides, Ahri doesn't have to know."

James "zipped" his mouth shut, Evelynn laughing longer this time. "My goodness you're so handsome."

"Thanks." James said. "You're… very beautiful."

"Tell me something I don't know." Evelynn flipped her hair.

"Alright. What do you think you'll do now that Culda's gone?" James asked taking the diva by surprise.

"Oh sweetie, do we have to talk about the stressful things?" She pleaded with pouty lips. Evelynn giggled shortly after. "We'll figure something out. Ahri just needs to put her emotions aside more often."

James hummed in response. Evelynn really didn't wanna talk about business-related stuff. She wanted to go into the more personal aspects.

"So, I've been meaning to ask; how'd you and Akali meet exactly?"

He wasn't expecting that at all. "What do you mean?"

"I'm just trying to make conversation." Evelynn replied. "Seeing as we're on a date, I wanna know you more. Figured a question that doesn't involve your past romances would be a good shift."

James chuckled. He leaned back with his palms on his scalp. "Well, it's a pretty boring story if you ask me. I'd hate to bore you."

"Sweetie, just answer the question." Evelynn passively demanded.

"Alright, I'll keep it simple. Wasn't quite in the best spot when I met her. Well actually it was when I first saw her on the street, rapping in front of crowds of people who were absolutely into it." James explained.

"Sounds like you had a crush on her first sight." Evelynn giggled.

"No." James denied. "Honestly it reminded me of Zaun to an extent. Street rapping there wasn't super popular, but those who did it always reeled in crowds."

"Oh? So you didn't meet her in Zaun?" Evelynn asked, feebly surprised.

He wished he hadn't mentioned that place. Just the word made James anxious as of late. He lowered his head with compressed lips.

"No, this was after I left there." James confessed. "Anyhow, Akali's performance caught my attention, and I was just another person in the crowd watching her."

"So you were the only one who walked up to her and said 'Let's be friends'?" Evelynn joked.

"Ha. Ha. Ha. No actually, after the performance I was going to leave, but saw some rather shady looking figures approach Akali… and well, the rest speaks for itself." He finished.

"Oh so you attacked them without provocation?"

"Are you going to make a joke at everything I say?" James asked, looking a little perplexed.

Evelynn rolled her eyes.

"Alright, I was going to leave it alone, but the people were the sort not to walk away from something they wanted. Akali left with a firm and loud refusal. They followed her, I did the same, you probably see how this is playing out now." James offhandedly said with hand gestures.

The diva's brow raised with her smirk. "So you and Akali met after you both took down a group of hoodlums?"

James rolled his eyes with a scoff. "Well actually, when I heard the sounds of a struggle in the alleyway, I quickly bolted, but found a young girl holding her own against four, no five figures. She was all over the place with her martial arts, but I jumped into help just to be safe."

"Oh my, James and Akali, the Iconic Street-fighting Duo!" Evelynn giggled.

He laughed this time, but kept it subtle. "Yeah wasn't clean like you see in movies. Was bruised pretty badly, but they had it much worse. Akali had some too, but she was the least scathed."

Evelynn's head tilted with a petite smile. James wondered if he should further into the details, but the more thought he gave, it caused him to wrench. He could tell her another time. Actually, it was time he asked her something.

"So, forgive me if I'm repeating myself or if I'm being too nosy, but have you always been this way? You know, the cold-hearted diva that's loved and hated equally?" James asked.

The diva's back stood up when he asked that. Clearly caught her off-guard. Evelynn's heart raced as James leaned forward in keen interest. He wasn't going to grant her the choice to dodge on his own. The diva exhaled.

"Why do you want to know?" She defensively asked.

James's hands parted. "Well I mean I told you about my last one, not to mention giving you a good portion of how me and Akali met. I know that's a childish comparison, but I've learned that you're not what the media portrays you to be. You're a really sweet woman, maybe wilder than some others could take, but if I could describe you in a simple way, it'd be a cinnamon roll. In some cases."

Evelynn chuckled with her cheeks turning red from that compliment. She definitely wasn't all that, but she did have a soft spot.

James finally sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm just trying to build more trust Evelynn. Relationships, secret or public, are built on those."

Trust.

That was a word Evelynn had forgotten about years ago. The diva wasn't smiling now, but cleared her throat and leaned toward James.

"Because you're so insistent, I suppose I could answer your question." She purred in a teasing manner. That was making sure she had her confident image. "It all started when Elise, you remember her I'm sure, somehow dragged me to a dreadful game of basketball. If I recall correctly, she was doing it mostly out of empathy as she said I needed to find a strong, handsome man. Like I couldn't do that on my own." She snorted.

"Was about to say…" James added.

"To none of my surprise, I couldn't find anyone there who caught a sliver of my interest. They were handsome, but I knew they were all a bunch of dogs. Couldn't find anyone who wanted something deeper, someone to commit." Evelynn's voice started to sound less confident.

"Did you try women?" James asked, hoping to lighten her up. He smiled when Evelynn grinned.

"Elise did suggest that, but it wasn't really my thing." She denied. "Anyway, I wasn't having any luck with this obtuse search. I could've left, but I couldn't do that to Elise despite her reason for bringing me. I decided to enjoy the game best I could, ignoring all the perverted eyes aimed at my chest or backside."

James shook his head. "You're a trooper for that."

"Thanks sweetie." Evelynn replied. "As time went on, I actually found myself showing some interest in the sport. And the more I looked… that's when I saw him." She paused to envision it. James's brow rose when Evelynn's daydreaming went on longer than expected.

"You gonna tell me?" James asked.

"Darius." Evelynn answered. She sounded like a teenage girl thinking about their first fantasy crush. "Or as you might've known; Dunkmaster Darius."

That name didn't ring a bell to James. He was thankful it didn't deep down.

"I see."

"Yes. It's funny, he seemed to be like all the other dogs that attended the game, but he wasn't. He was caring, compassionate… for a while." Evelynn's voice lowered on those words.

James felt jealously bubbling inside him when Evelynn said the man's name, but like it was a wake-up call for his ears, instantly leaned forward upon hearing the diva's changed tone.

"If you don't mind me asking… what happened?"

The woman had done a complete 180. She averted her gaze outward to the streets as James listened closely.

"You know the saying 'Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets'?" Evelynn asked with a sigh. "Apparently that's what Darius thought the morning of our one-year anniversary."

James's eyes widened. Evelynn propped her elbow on the table, covering her mouth as she blinked a few times. She then pinched her bridge, shakily breathing before clearing her throat.

"What?" James asked.

"Yes sweetie, that's what happened. Just like that. After everything me and him did, everything we shared, everything we had… poof." She waved her hand to animate the word. "All gone."

James grimaced. He frowned, his interiors wrenching with regret of learning this information, but also resentment for the cold outcome Evelynn experienced. "I'm sorry."

"Save your empathy darling." Evelynn dismissed. She felt like she was close to showing a side of her she despised.

"So after that… you changed?" James asked, making sure he was getting this right. "It's what made you into, well this more versatile person?"

"Do you see me as that darling?"

"No, no I'm just wondering if that was what broke the camels back, you know?"

Evelynn sighed. Versatile wasn't fully untrue. "Yes my dear, that morning I woke up alone was when the diva was born."

"Why?" James asked. "Surely there's people who had it much worse and they're still open to love."

"Well they have low standards then." Evelynn defensively said. She could feel herself slowly sinking into a pit of despair and… weakness. The diva pressed her fingers against her eyes for a moment. She had to rekindle herself. This was James she was talking to. She never opened up to anyone else about this and always felt obligated to show she wasn't a woman in disarray over heartbreak or a damsel in distress.

But James… he saw through that.

"I'm sorry…" Evelynn sighed. "It's just… on that morning, I felt so weak, so used… so sad. The men and women in my family have always been fighters. I let my guard down with Darius… and paid the price. I never, ever want to feel that weak again."

James's eyes lowered and his chest tightened when those finals words came. Evelynn sounded like she'd never told anyone this before. It was a heavy burden for her. James looked up, seeing Evelynn leaning forward, her hands clasped together and pressed against her temple. His gut twisted, and while he knew this wasn't a professional thing to do, it was the right thing to do from the heart.

"Hey."

James took Evelynn's single wrist, pulling it down with the diva looking at him, face red and despaired. She looked into his eyes, the troubling reminiscent of the past fading away, but Evelynn huffed and looked away. James wasn't giving up that easily.

"Hey!" He repeated, quietly but forcefully.

Evelynn sighed, pouting as she looked at him again, this time with a somber look.

"It's okay." He soothed. "You're allowed to have moments like these Evelynn. Everybody does. The world's not gonna end if you cry, you know?"

The diva's interior fluttered warmly. She was still stubborn however. "I'm not crying."

"I know but you get the point, right?" James asked. His hands cupped both her wrists together. A very unprofessional gesture, but one James would damn himself for if he didn't do it.

The diva's sadness was gone. The corners of Evelynn's mouth slowly rose in mirth. Her arms had goose flesh as her body tingled with the utmost excitement of his warm hands on her wrists. This would've been a good photo for any paparazzi, but Evelynn didn't care.

"Okay, two plates of hashbrowns, eggs, and some of the crispiest bacon in the city for the two love birds?" The waitresses voice called out. It held humor at the end.

James let go of Evelynn's wrist, the diva clearing her throat, but put her digits on the area James held. It made the rest of her skin feel cold.

Two plates with the delicious food were placed on the table, James's eyes widened with an eager smile.

"Looks delicious!"

"Give my compliments to Pantheon and Leona sweetie." Evelynn said. She told the waitress they were set and she left.

Not a lot of talk happened as the couple consumed their greatly needed food. Evelynn was quite hungry, consuming the eggs and bacon in quantities that didn't fit her standards at all. James found it funny, but didn't laugh with his mouth full. By the end, both leaned back in their chairs, completely satisfied with their meals.

"Mmm, now that was delicious." Evelynn moaned. "I'm probably gonna have to go on the treadmill for at least ten hours after this."

"Come on it wasn't that bad." James said. "It was a long overdue meal you deserve. Hell K/DA deserves it."

"Ahri would faint if she saw this food for breakfast."

Both of them laughed at the truthful statement. A sliding of chairs sounded from the far table and the two looked to see Katarina and Garen leaving their table, meal all done and paid for. Evelynn smiled, giving a wave to the celebrity couple who waved back. Katarina slipped her hand into Garen's back pocket as he followed her lead. Evelynn chuckled, turning back to James.

"You friends with them?" He asked.

"Acquaintance at best." Evelynn replied. "Celebrities and singers are different on the level of media attention. Plus I'm not interested in hearing about the hours it took them to get one scene right."

"Fair point." James smiled. The distant sound of overlapping voices drew his attention. James and Evelynn saw a growing mass of people approaching the restaurant. At first James thought they'd recognised Evelynn, but the constant calling of the names 'Garen' and 'Katarina' proved him wrong. Cameras were snapping with the clamoring voices as the crowd started to move, a hasty Katarina and Garen fleeing to their presumably hidden car.

"Well I guess that's what you mean by level of attention." James commented turning to Evelynn.

"That's something people never consider when they want to be a celebrity. You tend to lose any form of privacy." Evelynn sighed.

"Is that something you ever wished you'd have done differently?" James asked.

Evelynn looked at him with a pause. "No darling. Not at all. Because if I had… I wouldn't have met you."

Cliché, but sweet. James smiled and Evelynn quickly leaned forward and gave him a peck on the cheek. Such a dangerous, daring, and naughty action. James's skin became warm.

"Hey, is that Evelynn? The Diva of the K/DA?"

The words fell on both their ears, James and Evelynn glancing to see a fan who'd left the horde tailing Katarina and Garen. Within no time their words reached another passerby, then another, then another. James's heart began to race and Evelynn started to shift in her seat.

"Holy shit it is!"

"Who's she with?"

"Some hunk as hot as her."

"Bullshit she's gay with Ahri!"

"Evelynn! Can I get a photo with you?"

James winced. "Should we go?" He asked Evelynn.

She could see the concern in his eyes. Evelynn wasn't nervous like James was, but part of being her bodyguard was to keep her safe.

"Of course darling. Would you mind giving the waitress a tip for the glorious service?" Evelynn asked, taking out some cash with a twenty she specified for James to handle. He watched her leave her seat, approaching the growing crowd of fans who leaned over the fence of the patio, calling out her name. Evelynn could handle this, but James felt uneasy.

"Evelynn I love you!"

"Please let me take a selfie with you!"

Evelynn grinned, greeting her fans with open arms while maintaining her distance. She snuck in a few hand shakes from the select she chose. The diva decided to grant a few selfie requests, putting on her picture-perfect smile for the camera with the cries of fans ringing in her ears. She saw James on edge, up from his seat and approaching her, but Evelynn waved him down.

"Okay that'll be twenty dollars please!" The waitress sounded returning with a POS, but saw the cash in James's hand that told her she wouldn't be needing that. James quickly turned to her, hurriedly telling her to keep the change before looking at his client again.

That's when he heard an exclamation from Evelynn.

The diva's arm was grabbed and she was being pulled into the now-screaming crowd. She quickly grabbed her captured arm with her hand and freed it, but her hair was grabbed. Evelynn grunted as James bolted to her, the man getting her hair free as the fans kept screaming with some booing.

Putting his arm around her waist, James fast-walked with Evelynn keeping her speed. His hold was firm on her body, completely protective and cautious. Evelynn kept herself from sinking into his embrace.

They passed through the restaurant, pushing open the doubled doors with the cries of fans not far. James knew they'd be spotted soon so he hurried Evelynn along, but when someone called them out, he changed to a run. Evelynn nearly staggered from the sudden change in speed, but kept her composure and they reached the car moments later.

James made sure Evelynn was seated first, hurrying over to the driver side as the horde finally caught up. At first it was unheard questions aimed at Evelynn who couldn't make out the words, but then it was directed at James who was about to get in.

"Sir is it true you're Evelynns bodyguard?"

"Are you two engaged?"

"Were you two on a lunch date?"

"Are you lovers?"

James's eyes twitched from the questions. Most of them were insane to the public eye. Is this what every paparazzi thought when Evelynn was seen with a man?

Not that they weren't untrue on the other hand.

Ignoring the questions, James closed the door as the muffled pats of hands against the car sounded. He took a deep breath, easing down as Evelynn hummed. James turned to see her seductive smirk.

"Well that was fun, apart from almost tripping when you ran." She giggled.

"What about when you were nearly torn apart?"

"That was nothing sweetie. I could've handled it. Believe me I've had worse." Evelynn waved off. "But I'm still grateful for your actions. My knight in shining armor." She pretended to be a damsel in distress.

Rolling his eyes at the comment, James turned on the car, honking the horn to disperse the people. It didn't take too long to his surprise and they quickly drove out of the lot and onto the street.

Despite the brief interaction with the fans at the end, Evelynn really enjoyed their brunch date. She put her hand on James's wrist again, the man focusing on the road so he couldn't look at her. It didn't matter though and Evelynn gave him a peck on the cheek, James turning his head for a moment to express his shock.

"So we heading home?"

Quirking her brow, Evelynn asked, "What do you mean darling? Did you have other plans?" She smiled.

He smirked. "Well as nice as the restaurant was, it'd be a shame to end it with us running from a mob of fans and paparazzi."

"Oh, you want to do something else?" Evelynn purred. "What'd you have in mind sweetie?"

"Well… promise me you won't laugh."

"I promise." Evelynn showed her crossed fingers with James rolling his eyes.

"I was thinking of going to the hills, just park the car and have a view of the city. With you of course." James confessed. "I know, cheesy isn't it?"

It was cheesy indeed, but the idea sounded sweet to Evelynn as well. The diva didn't laugh, only sweetly smiling.

"That sounds lovely darling! Do you know which way to go?"

"Wait really? You wanna do that?"

"Yes!" Evelynn exclaimed, sounding incredulous and excited.

"Well alright then!" James replied with the same volume.

"But I have one request." Evelynn said as they came to a red light. James was about to ask her what, but the diva removed her seatbelt and swiftly plopped herself on James's lap. The man could feel that soft rear of hers rest perfectly on him, James giving her a 'really?' look.

"Green light sweetie." Evelynn pointed.

James shook his head and began to drive.

Many Years Ago…

Walking back to Vi's apartment took some time, but there weren't any unfortunate encounters with any members of rival gangs, especially Sejuani's. James had put Jani on his shoulders when she said her legs were tired and her squeals of excitement from being up so high made James and Vi grin.

After they turned a corner with a straightaway to Vi's apartment, quickly arriving and going inside. They hurried up the stairs, passing by some other tenants until finally reaching Vi's quarters. Vi aimed to open the door, but froze when seeing it was open partially. Not wasting time, Vi told James to get behind her and inhaled sharply before pushing the door open.

Vi narrowed her eyes when she spotted the occupant at her small kitchen table. Her ice-blue eyes peered to Vi as she sipped delicately from her tea. Vi relaxed herself, but crossed her arms.

"What the hell are you doing here?"

Camille rolled her eyes. "I forgot to lock your door last night. Came to fix it." She replied sarcastically.

"Un-fucking-believable." Vi said.

"Aunt Vi swore again!"

Vi glanced around, not seeing Camille's expression gleam for a moment at the sound of Jani's sweet voice. James figured he could walk in, Jani in his arms with Vi shaking her head.

"Yes I did kiddo. Thanks again for watching my language." She said brushing Jani's hair.

James set Jani down the moment he saw Camille who rose from the table, her arms behind her back as she stared back at him.

"What're you doing here? Forget something from earlier?" He asked.

Camille sipped her tea and placed it down. She stood up. "Matter-a-fact I did. Remember our little conversation about the mother whose daughter was taken after her partner was murdered?"

James narrowed his eyes. Camille glared, and smirked.

"Well my curiosity couldn't be sated so I decided to fix that." She gloated. Camille's eyes moved to the door that creaked open and in stepped her guards with a woman James and Jani were familiar with. The little girl turned around first, her eyes widening with a gleeful expression.

"Mommy!"

An invisible knife pierced James's chest. No. Not now. Why?

"Sweetie!" His mother replied. James slowly turned around to see his mother in what she deemed to be the best clothing she had kneeling down to give his sister a hug. His fist clenched when she looked at him, her neutral expression showing him pure hatred. "James."

"Hello mother." James said hitched.

"Why don't you call her by her name boy?" Camille advised. "Is 'Elain' really that hard to say?"

"What did you do?" James aggressively asked turning to Camille.

"I did what you should've done." Camille replied evenly. "I sought this little girls mother out to get her away from this dangerous hell-hole." She referred to the apartment.

"Bullshit. If you saw where we lived, you'd know it's no better than here."

"True but I'll have McGough and Petrell here guarding the premises." Camille replied. "You won't mind right Elain?"

James's mother shook her head with a little laugh. James glared at her and then looked down at Jani. The little girl was happily smiling, unaware of the tension felt from the two people between her.

"Before we go, is there anything you two would like to say?" Camille asked putting her hands together.

James's brow rose. He glanced at Camille. "Wait what do you mean before you go?"

"There is something I'd like to say." Elain's voice said.

Rolling his eyes, James turned to his mother and felt a sting on his cheek with his vision flashing white. James nearly fell to the floor, but remained standing. Jani's scream was heard and she cried at her mother before going to James's aid. Vi remained silent throughout this whole ordeal but broke her silence when helping James.

"I was going to do that eventually, but seems you beat me to it." Camille snickered.

Elain snorted coldly. She had on an unnerving smile at striking her son. She put it away and shakily breathed.

"Why'd you hit him?!" Jani screamed.

"Because he's not a good person darling." Camille said. "He murdered your mother's lover and stole you from the safety of her home."

Jani's eyes widened. Tears were already sliding down her cheeks. That couldn't be true.

"N-no! That's not true!" Jani wailed.

"Jani, honey, please try to keep your voice down." Elain said coming to her. "We don't want to wake up anyone in this place do we?"

Vi wasn't familiar with James's mother, but even she knew this caring façade was fake. She glared at her as she stood up with James. "You're a piece of shit lady."

"Now is that really the most appropriate language around a child?" Camille inquired. She groaned and shook her head. "Such primitives. Okay we're leaving, with Jani."

That got James out of his daze. "What? You're leaving?!"

"Yes. Don't worry boy we'll contact you when everything is ready." Camille said tossing an untraceable phone that Vi caught. The pinkette looked at James whose hands were clenched. "Until then, wait here and don't do anything stupid."

James was unsure of what to do. He saw zero winning scenarios in this current situation. He looked at Jani with the hope of her showing refusal to leave, but he wondered if she saw him in a different light now.

"Come on, we're going." Camille repeated. Her guards nodded and Elain scooped Jani up in her arms, holding her close with the girl finally speaking.

"No! I don't wanna go! Not without James!"

"Oh sweetie don't pout. If you behave yourself, we can have pizza." Elain offered.

"No!" Jani screamed, squirming in her mothers hold as Elain's smile disappeared.

"I told you to keep your voice down!" She barked.

It was that moment James moved.

"Put her down Elain!" He yelled.

James bolted, but he was clotheslined by Camille who quickly turned her attention to Vi. The pinkette's nerves were struck and she attacked Camille, but the woman hit her throat and kicked Vi back. The pinkette croaked and lay there on the floor gasping for air as Camille's eyes twitched from Jani's distant wails.

This allowed James to get up and club the woman's head, but Camille was sturdy and elbowed his side. James stumbled into the wall and Camille pressed her right arm against his throat, effectively pinning him.

"I told you not to do anything stupid." She snarled.

"Why… why did you… bring my mother?!" James tried to speak. "She's… not a caring… person!"

Camille smirked. "My dear boy… you really think I'd leave your sister with that monster? I don't care for your bickering with her, and I certainly don't care for your devoted attachment to your sister, but I suppose you could use some insight."

Camille pressed her arm in further, choking James tighter.

"You seem to be unable to grasp the bigger picture Mr. Holland. Your sister is a sweet, naïve creature who's managed to tug my heartstrings." Camille sighed. "I usually never do this, but it's rare to see a child born in Zaun not behave like most Zaunites. I've seen children younger than her wield guns and knives. I don't believe Jani has done that?"

James's did answer, only rolling his eyes. Camille chuckled.

"Mr. Holland, you've spoken about wanting to leave this place, to have a brighter future? Or was it really for your sister? Either way I don't care. All you need to know is Jani will certainly be guaranteed a future brighter than anything your Zaunite brain could muster." Camille seethed. She cut off his air supply for her last words. "And I'll be the one to ensure it. It'll depend on what happens to you."

With that, Camille released James and he dropped to the floor, gasping for breath and unable to speak. Giving him a gloating look and glancing at Vi who was still recovering, Camille walked away and shut the door.

Kayn had on a hopeful smirk as he drove to the K/DA's household. Vi finally got back to him on his question in addition to her sending him a photo of her bruised face with a cheeky grin titled 'sorry for the delay buddy'. Kayn winced when he saw it and as he got closer to his destination, he saw dozens upon dozens of people walking in the opposite direction. He had a hunch of what awaited him and his prediction was correct when seeing a crowd of people outside the property of K/DA.

Thankfully they weren't blocking the entrance and Kayn wasn't fond of leaving his car outside in this current situation. As he drove closer to the gate, a tall woman with glasses held her hand up to stop him. Kayn rolled down his window as she approached. He saw her nametag 'Tianna'.

"Good morning." She greeted.

"Hello."

"I'm afraid the K/DA doesn't want anyone on their property right now. If you're hoping to go in, I can't allow that." She sternly said.

Kayn softly groaned. "Well if it helps I'm friends with one of the bodyguards, not to mention I'm dating-"

"Akali; yes I know." Tianna gruffly interrupted. "Listen, I don't want to cause a fuss, but I don't think it's a good idea to let you in now."

Groaning, Kayn was going to argue further, but Tianna's name was cried from a pink-haired woman running out of the residence. Vi approached Tianna while catching her breath, the tall woman's questioning eyes hidden under her sunglasses.

"Tianna, Tianna… oh geez, it's alright. You can let him in." Vi caught her breath.

"I can't allow that Vi. Not without Caitlyn's approval." Tianna replied.

"Oh come on, just let him in! You have no idea how much it'll mean to Akali!" Vi pleaded.

"Personal interests can't come first in this line of work Vi. Surely you know that." Tianna refused.

It seemed pointless, but Tianna had unwillingly given Vi leverage. The pinkette teasingly smiled at the tall woman.

"Personal interests you say?" Vi asked. "You mean like the time you and uh, Cithria right? The time you two were absent for a few minutes during the Oscars a few months ago? Remember that? When your nephew Garen and his wife Katarina were taken by surprised when two die-hard fans hugged them below the waist?"

Kayn wasn't interested in their banter, but he did see Tianna's cheeks turn a shade of red. Vi kept grinning.

"Wasn't there a lipstick mark on your neck when you reappeared? I think Cithria had one too, except it was a hickey on her nape maybe?"

Tianna groaned, looking away to hide her embarrassment. Vi was smug now, giving a wink to Kayn who was clueless to their conversation.

Muttering under her breath, Tianna turned to Kayn and gave him a reluctant, firm nod. He thanked her before accelerating up the driveway as Vi thanked Tianna for her cooperation. However, her shoulder was grabbed by the woman.

"Don't ever try that on me again. Ever." Tianna snarled.

Vi shrugged it off, walking away as Tianna resumed her duty.

Kayn got out of his car with a small bag. He watched Vi jog up the driveway, smiling at her as gratitude for her action.

"Thanks for that."

"No problem!" Vi replied. "But if it's not too much to ask, I'd like a Vodka on the rocks before you head out later."

Laughing, Kayn said, "Shouldn't be a problem Vi. Again, thanks."

"Save it for later boy, get in there and see your girl." Vi encouraged, winking at Kayn before beginning her rounds of the house. Kayn took a relieved breath, about to knock on the door, but chose to enter instead. Keep it a surprise.

Once inside, Kayn paced toward the living room as it was his first guess where Akali was. He peeked in to see it devoid of Akali's presence, but Kai'sa was there in yoga pants and a tank top as she followed the motions of the fitness program playing on the television. Wanting to get this right, Kayn knocked on the wall and Kai'sa turned to the sound. She was shocked to see him, but smiled warmly and merrily skipped to him.

"Well… trespassing in the K/DA's house is a dream most would love to come true, along with the consequences of doing so." She glared while smiling.

Kayn shrugged. "Vi let me in, take it up with her."

Kai'sa chuckled. "I'm assuming you're here to see…?"

"Yes. I'm here to see Akali." Kayn admitted. "But it's a surprise visit. Wanted to do something other than texting her after last night you know?"

"Of course I do." Kai'sa agreed. "She's upstairs in her room. Second on the right. But be warned… she's not exactly perky."

His brow rose… and so did his smirk.

"Thanks Kai'sa. See you around."

"Good luck!" The dancer quietly cheered.

Kayn went up the stairs, keeping his footing mute when possible. Slowly approaching the second door on the right, Kayn could hear faint sounds from within. He peeked in, seeing Akali's face illuminated somewhat by her laptops screen, expression somber and troubled.

When she pinched her bridge, Kayn moved in.

"Surprise!"

Akali yelped and nearly fell out of her chair, prompting Kayn to bolt and hold the chair in place. Akali's chest rose and it took a couple moments for her to calm down. However, her eyes remained wide from the sudden appearance of Kayn.

"Kayn? What're you doing here?"

"I came to see you!" Kayn replied. "Good change from simply sending you words on screen don't you think?"

Akali agreed and disagreed. She hadn't showered yet so that's the reason she was so nervous. Kayn could see her hesitation and figured he'd wandered into uncomfortable territory… but even then, he wouldn't be swayed by that.

"Apologies for almost scaring you out of your chair. Guess I should've been more considerate." He confessed.

A brief red colored his handsome cheeks. Akali found that to be cute and she couldn't help but giggle. Kayn's eyes lit up at that sound, smiling at her with Akali being the one who blushed.

"Something funny?"

"N-No." Akali stammered.

He didn't tease her further. Kayn saw Akali eye the small bag he had which caused him to grin.

"Curious?" He asked, holding up the bag.

"Yes." Akali answered. "What is it?"

"A gift… for you."

Her eyes widened again. Akali slowly reached for the bag, but Kayn moved it away with a finger wave.

"Ah, ah, ah. First, tell me what was so funny." He challenged.

Akali huffed. She was never fond of being denied something even when playing. The exchange Kayn offered made it only worse and the rapper attempted to snatch the bag from him. Immediately Kayn was on his feet, keeping the gift from Akali who got up from her chair.

"Oh, feisty." He sneered.

"Come on, give it up." Akali demanded.

Kayn frowned. "Well that's not very nice is it? You drive a hard bargain Akali."

She was well aware of how flustered her face was along with her pouting. Akali knew Kayn was getting a kick out of this and she grabbed one of the pillows on her bed and Kayn's eyes widened.

"Gimmie!"

She hurled the soft object at Kayn who put his hand out to block it. Akali charged him and tried to snatch the bag, but Kayn was skilled at keeping it away.

"Are you always this way with gifts?" He laughed.

"Stop laughing! This isn't funny!" Akali spat as she grunted, trying to force him down, but to no avail. She knew this was hilarious and she began to laugh too.

Kayn eventually fought back, but they both ended up falling on the bed with a roll. He was on the bottom at the end of it, Akali hovering over his figure with hasty breathing. Her face was still red and she looked to his hand that still held the gift.

In a mute surrender, Kayn released the bag and Akali exhaled once more before getting off him and taking the bed. Kayn sat up with a pleased groan, stretching as he turned to Akali who hadn't taken the bag yet.

"Don't tell me you don't want it now." He said.

"I do! Just… nevermind." Akali huffed.

Kayn chuckled. Akali took the bag, being more respectful now that she had it. She wondered what could possibly be in here, let alone why Kayn decided to get her something in the first place. Akali opened the bag, seeing a lone card that she took and placed the bag aside.

"What's 'Yasuo's Ramen Palace'?" Akali asked reading the card.

"Well it's a place that specializes in ramen which I'm sure you know from the name." Kayn chuckled. "They serve some of the best ramen I've ever had, and given that you love ramen from what Vi told me…" The rest spoke for itself. Kayn's knowing grin made Akali's insides warm.

She smiled. "Thanks. I'll be sure to try it out."

Both of them were silent for a few moments, creating an awkward atmosphere. Akali caved in however and leaned toward Kayn to give him a hug. He looked at her, returning the gesture by putting his hand around her hip. Akali sat up straight when she ended the hug, clearing her throat.

"Why did you get me this?" She asked holding up the card. Her voice wasn't cheerful and it made Kayn's smile vanish.

Sighing he said, "Because I wanted to cheer you up. I'll be honest, last night left a sour taste in my mouth. The way it ended obviously."

Akali nodded.

"My mother's a resilient woman, and she's not fond of me seeing you. I'm sure you know how clear that was." Kayn said with a growl at the end.

Biting her lip, Akali's interior churned from the things Syndra said and shouted to her the night before. From continuously calling her a 'slut' to screaming to keep her abused privates away from Kayn made Akali's glisten with pain.

"I want you to know Akali," Kayn said putting his hand on her nape. "That I'm not going to listen to her at all. I'm not going anywhere no matter how persistent she may become."

Akali saw what he meant by coming to see her now. His voice was serious and sincere. What he said about his mother's tenacity was clearly shown in him too.

"This may seem a little dramatic and even silly given the time we've known eachother but-"

"No it isn't." Akali stated.

"-but the fact is I feel something with you. It's something I've felt with only one other person I've been with… maybe not the best comparison." He scratched his head.

Akali chuckled. "Don't worry. I won't go all yandere on you. What… happened?"

Kayn sighed. "Syndra happened, no surprise. I… I'd rather not tell you, but what she did completely botched my relationship. I never saw her again… can't say I blame her though."

The rapper grimaced. She saw Kayn's hand clench and she held it with her own. He looked at her, smiling as Akali's cheeks flustered.

"Sorry but… your mother's a bitch."

Kayn scoffed. Akali wasn't sure how he'd take that. "Well you're not wrong there. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I'm committed to this." He paused for a moment. "And I hope that you are too."

That caused Akali's heart to wrench, but he had a point. She wondered who would've been willing to go back to their partner after something Syndra did. Was probably a lot actually, but in the short time Kayn and Akali had met, it was the opposite.

She cupped his cheek, the firm feeling of his chiseled figure making her tremble a little. Kayn's brow rose and Akali cleared her throat.

"I am." She confidently said. "I am committed to this. No matter how much wine your mother will waste on me, I am committed."

Kayn chuckled at the wine statement. "Maybe that was the real problem. A waste of good wine."

Akali's eyes narrowed deviously. "Oh really? Wouldn't you like to see me covered in wine?" She purred.

"No." Kayn growled. "I'd like to do this though."

Once more, Akali felt herself caught off-guard when those lips of his contacted hers. Immediately her body was fired up from the kiss and she moaned into it. Kayn wasn't going any deeper however and he quirked a brow when feeling Akali's hands slide over his broad back.

"Hmm."

"You can't keep catching me off-guard. It's not fair." Akali playfully pouted when the kiss ended.

"Oh? I think you like it." He grinned.

Pouting, Akali looked away, but then swiftly turned to him again and crashed her lips into his. His eyes were alarmed for only a moment, Kayn matching Akali's passion as he earnestly kissed her, the girl moaning again. With his arms around her back, Akali felt like she'd melt in his touch.

The two of them went further, slowly laying on the bed with Akali on the bottom, their lips still locked as she tangled her hands in his hair. Kayn hummed through their kiss at this, going to Akali's hair and softly tugging it, not enough to cause any pain or discomfort.

Akali remembered she hadn't showered yet and wondered if she had an unpleasant smell, but Kayn didn't seem to care. She lurched her neck up with his hand tugging her hair, taking a sharp breath when he placed his lips on her crook.

"Kayn…" She breathed.

"Yes?" He asked, stopping with a teasing smile.

His brows rose when seeing the desire in Akali's eyes. The rapper grabbed his collar and pulled him into another heated kiss, this one getting a little moan from Kayn who quickly took control. His hands traced down and over her shapely rear, stopping above it to press his hand against her skin and bringing her lower body closer to his. Kayn then kissed her neck again, nipping it afterward as Akali released another sharp exhale.

"Whoa momma!"

Both of them stopped kissing when hearing the sudden voice. Kayn got off Akali who sat up and heard a laugh from her laptop. Her eyes widened when seeing her cousin Irelia on the screen in a video call.

"Irelia?! What the hell are you doing?!"

"Well I heard what happened last night at the studio and I wanted to check-in to see how you're doing." Irelia answered. "Didn't expect to be seeing my own little private show!"

Akali groaned. Kayn looked at her for a moment then to Irelia.

"Um, sorry but who are you?" He asked.

"I'm her cousin!" Irelia exclaimed. "Also feel free to take your shirt off! Please?"

Kayn's eyes widened and Akali's face was crimson. She didn't end the call, choosing to turn the laptop away so Irelia couldn't see Kayn with her protesting the action.

"Hey come on! Let me see that again!" Irelia exclaimed.

"You're unbelievable." Akali muttered. "How'd you even start a call? I didn't accept it!"

"You must have auto-accept on." Irelia shrugged. "Now, can I please see Mr. Pretty Boy again? Like to lay down a few ground rules."

Rolling her eyes, Akali asked, "What do you want Irelia?"

"Well after what I was seeing, I kind of forget!"

Akali groaned, moving to end the call but Irelia stopped kidding and told her not to.

"Okay, okay! I'll be serious. Sorry."

"Well?"

Irelia sighed. "Akali I heard what happened last night. Entertainment on social media is blowing up over it."

"And since when is social media a reliable source?" Akali asked.

"That's not the point. The point is are you okay? I mean obviously you are from what I saw a minute ago but I just wanted to make sure myself." Irelia explained.

Akali didn't roll her eyes. "Yes Irelia, I'm A-Okay."

"Alright then. So how'd it happen?"

"What?"

"Why'd she do it? Why'd she splash wine all over my favorite cousin?" Irelia asked with a growl in her throat. "Was there a good reason behind it? Obviously not."

Akali wondered if she should tell Irelia the reason. It wasn't a good reason from her standpoint and would probably make Irelia furious. Still, Akali spoke.

"It's because I'm dating her son…" Akali muttered.

Irelia's brows rose, her eyes narrowing suspiciously before it hit her. Her eyes widened as her teeth sank into her lip to show her alarm. Irelia slowly nodded and Akali narrowed her eyes.

"So that handsome boy with you-"

"Yes."

"I see."

"Aren't you going to freak out or something? Swear vengeance upon her like you did with James?" Akali asked.

"Am I really that bad?"

"In some aspects yes."

"Hmph." Irelia stuck her tongue out at Akali who chuckled. "Well anyway… glad you're okay Akali. And sorry about being a perv back there."

Akali found her cousin's shyness amusing. "It's alright Irelia. Don't worry."

"I do have another question though. What happened to the jacket? Is it okay?"

Those words made Akali realize what she'd forgotten. It made her expression slowly turn forlorn, her lips slowly turning to a frown as her eyes glistened. Irelia noticed the change and leaned closer to the screen.

"You okay?"

"I need a minute." Akali sniffled.

"But-"

Akali ended the call there. Kayn had been minding his own business during their conversation and was quick to see Akali hurrying to her door, trying to hide her face.

"Akali? You okay?"

"Just give me privacy." She whimpered.

"Hey." Kayn got off the bed, closing the door as Akali opened it and put himself in front of her. Akali tried to move past, but Kayn grabbed her arms and held her there easily. "Hey, what's wrong? You can tell me."

"Let me go." Akali muttered.

"No." Kayn refused. "Akali, you need to know that you're not alone. I'm here."

Akali's stomach stop wrenching when he spoke. His reminder that he was here made her realize something. Ever since Akali had joined K/DA, James was insistent on her becoming her own person. With him always off with Evelynn, Akali really had no choice. She wasn't fond of the idea, but deep down she knew he was right.

And yet whenever she found herself in a pickle or just feeling down, she'd usually mope about it in her lonesome. She just didn't know how to face her problems without someone to help.

But right now with Kayn, Akali realized that he'd seemingly stepped into that role. It was different from James obviously, but in a good way.

"I can't promise to fix all your problems, but I can promise you won't have to face them alone." James's voice echoed in her mind.

Kayn brushed a tear before it could slide down Akali's cheek. She gazed into him warmly from the touch.

"Now, you wanna tell me what's wrong?" He asked.

"Y-Yeah… in a bit," Akali stammered. She drew her hands up his arms and felt his broad shoulders. Akali massaged them not to pleasure Kayn, but to really feel the bumps and firmness. "Just… let me do this."

His brow rose, but the girl quickly pulled him to her where her face rested on its side against his chest. A simple hug was all it was, and it made Kayn smile. His curiosity could wait.

Evelynn was loving James's lap as her seat. The man had grown used to it by now despite the looming threat of Evelynn's soft butt always at risk of waking up his friend between his legs. Regardless he kept control and drove on. Evelynn almost fell asleep until James's voice got her out of her rest, the diva seeing that they were close to their destination. To Evelynn's surprise there weren't any cars present. Then again it was expected given that it was only noon. People liked to come during the evening. The diva was relived nobody was present.

"You come up here a lot?" James asked.

"Do you sweetie?" Evelynn replied grinning.

"I asked you first."

Evelynn narrowed her eyes before they both burst into laughter. The diva swatted his shoulder and gave him a quick kiss.

"I have been up here a couple times darling," Evelynn admitted. "And not all of them were for the reason you'd think."

"Oh. Really?" James asked as he pulled up to a designated spot that gave a beautiful overlook of the city.

Evelynn nodded. She unlocked the driver side door while remaining in his lap with James expecting her to get off him. When it was clear she wasn't going to budge, James shook his head and put his right hand above her calves with his left on her back. Evelynn grinned excitedly as he got out of the car while carrying her, barely avoiding accidentally banging her head on the roof.

The diva directed him to the front where he placed her down. Evelynn sat down on the hood of the car, patting the spot next to her as James sat down too.

Birds chirped in nearby trees with James looking at them. Evelynn didn't say a word as she took his hand and bringing James's attention back to her. When he turned, she kissed him to catch him off-guard. He reeled back on instinct, but the kiss didn't break and he leaned in. Evelynn softly moaned and rested her head on his shoulder when the kiss ended, both still holding hands.

"Hey Evelynn."

"Yes my love?"

His cheeks colored at those words. That she called him her love was difficult to describe and a little crazy, but a good kind of crazy.

"Thanks." He said. James's hand entwined with Evelynn's, his fingers closing down over her palm in a small, but strong message of desire. Evelynn did the same with hers and closed her eyes when James kissed her temple. The diva sighed in relaxation as James's free hand looped to her shoulder. "Thanks for this. It was a really nice idea."

Evelynn's eyes opened. "Are you referring to the restaurant or coming up here? Because this was your idea darling."

"I'm referring to this as a whole." He cleared. "This date was a great idea, and I have you to thank for making it so wonderful."

The diva was glad to hear that, but he was making it sound like it was something far greater in her eyes. Evelynn chuckled a little.

"That's great to hear sweetie, but it was just one date. Don't think it was that amazing." She laughed.

"I know, I know," James admitted. "But I always like to enjoy the little things. Normally it's the little things for me that make situations more enjoyable. Might not mean much to you, but it does to me."

Evelynn looked at him with an unreadable expression, but slowly she smiled as his words made her realize some things she'd forgotten since being so wrapped up in the industry.

Like how the soft breeze felt against her skin as trees nearby softly rustled, the birds chirping early in the morning or in the sunny afternoon.

But most importantly to her at the moment… just how comfortable she was laying her head on his shoulder, James's hand on her hip to keep her close.

"James?" Evelynn asked peering up at him.

He didn't speak, looking at her with the diva having desirably expression.

"I love you."

He smiled. "I love you too Evelynn."

They shared a long, passionate kiss while sitting on the hood of the car, leaves blowing around them as birds continued to chirp. Evelynn laid her head on his shoulder when it ended, both enjoying their company as they continued to stare aimlessly at the city.

Little did both know that the sounds of leaves rustling and birds singing drowned out the distant snap of a camera.

In a large shrub of bushes, two figures were observing the couple with one of them holding a camera, continuously snapping photos of their most intimate moments. After getting some shots of their kiss, the person lowered the camera to reveal a scowling expression that turned into a devious smile.

"You done yet?" Their partner asked.

"Shh! You'll blow our cover Rakan!"

"And you're not going to change anything if you decide to show these to the media Xayah." Rakan gloated. "You need to accept that Culda's not their manager anymore."

"It's not that Rakan." Xayah replied. "You can't say it's untrue Evelynn's always wanted her gone. Even after everything she's done for them…"

"That's not my jurisdiction." Rakan shrugged. "Just don't be surprised if this backfires."

"It won't." Xayah growled. She made sure to check each photo to make sure they were clear enough to make out this was Evelynn and her bodyguard. The model didn't have to take anymore shots and she quickly shuffled away with her partner.

Many Years Ago…

James had been boiling on the inside since Camille left, with his mother holding her sister. Just rekindling the brief words of his mother drove him into pure rage. Despite the urge to not sit here and do anything about it, James knew it'd only endanger Jani further and he couldn't risk it. That was the worst part.

He removed the icepack from his neck that was still red from Camille almost choking him to death. James hissed and put it back on the area, hearing Vi make a similar sound with her own pack. They hadn't spoken much over the period, but that ended when James leaned forward and pressed his fingertips against his temple.

"This is bullshit."

Vi turned her head. "I know, you've said that ten times now."

James grumbled. He looked at his icepack silently, then threw it at the wall with enough force to startle Vi. "FUCK!"

"Hey man don't fuck up my place!" Vi spat.

"Really?!" James asked turning to her with barred teeth. "My fucking sister was taken right in front of me by the woman who puts thugs before her children, and you're worried about me damaging your apartment?!"

Vi growled. "Well damaging it isn't gonna change shit!" She pinched her bridge when realizing what she was doing. "Okay look, why don't we take a seat?"

"A seat?!"

The woman sighed and threw her icepack away, standing up and leaning closer to James.

"Well what would you have me do James! You just let them take Jani away! So what would you have me do?!" She repeated.

Vi knew that was a mistake to say from how James's gaze darkened. He got closer to her and Vi wanted to apologize, but she was too riled up.

"What did you say?" He asked calmly.

The pinkette's throat swelled up. She saw where this was heading and wanted to change direction.

"Let's just take a-"

"No." James dismissed. "Tell me what you said Vi. Tell me again how I'm the one who let them take Jani away when you were silent the whole time until my mother attacked!"

Vi's look was stern as James's words struck a chord within. She could've intervened when his mother showed up quicker, but she also didn't feel like that was her business. Come to think of it, that really wasn't her business. Vi wished she could've been more helpful before Camille made it clear Jani was leaving with them.

"Well, you gonna answer?" James asked. "Or was what you said before about me and Jani being like family to you bullshit?"

Vi's cheeks flushed. "Don't pull that crap on me."

"Then answer the question."

The pinkette crossed her arms. "Oh I'm sorry, is it really my duty to interfere with the feud of a mother and her son?" She asked mockingly. Vi was just trying to get back at him for his verbal jabs. "Is it my duty to babysit the guy who, ever since he showed up to my apartment without warning with his little sister, has sent my life into a whirlwind of confusion and shit?! Well excuse me Guy Who Let His Little Sister Get Taken Away So Easily Because He Can't Control His Emotions!"

James's entire body was shaking now. Vi kept glaring at him, both breathing heavily as their blood boiled.

Vi was clubbed on her left, the pinkette grunting, but preparing a punch of her own and sent it right into James's cheek. The young man stumbled back, but he threw himself at Vi who tried to put him in a head-lock, but James tripped her down.

"You fucking bitch!" He yelled.

Both of them struggled, trading blows and grunting angrily. Vi was still pinned and she grabbed James's chin to deter him, but he struck her again. The pinkette grabbed his leg and use the leverage to flip them over. Vi relentlessly pounded James's face with some blood showing, but he grabbed her arms and pulled her closer where they butted heads. Both groaned in pain with Vi falling off and James grabbed the ice pack Vi had thrown earlier.

When Vi was getting up, he threw it at her head and Vi stumbled forward. James grabbed her shirt and threw her in a random direction with him charging her before she could get up. However, Vi pulled a dirty move and kicked James's unshielded crotch that caused him to double over in pain with Vi getting up. She began kicking him while he was down, James's groans sounding more painful as Vi kept delivering hits.

"Cry you little pussy! Asshole!" Vi yelled.

Vi's kicking stopped when James decided to roll into her legs with Vi stepping backward, but realizing she'd hit a barrier that was the television. James reached up to grab her belt and pulled with her tripping over him. He was on her in moments with consecutive punches, but Vi was more resistant and they ended up rolling while trading blows until they hit the stand holding the television. The force ended up teetering it off balance and it fell forward, barely missing the duo with a shatter.

Vi looked at it with shock, but James didn't care. He pushed Vi off with his legs and she hit the wall. He delivered a gut-punch that made Vi groan painfully and then kneed her in the same area. Vi wrapped her arms around James's lower back and pushed against him with James backing up a bit while pounding her back. Vi quickly turned them around and pushed James quickly against the wall with a dent being created. Vi sent her own fist into his torso, clubbed him on the side, and threw him to the opposite wall.

Bruised and bloodied with Vi in no better shape, James was pinned against the wall with Vi hitting him again. In a desperate act, James grabbed a nearby lamp and struck Vi on the head with the bulb shattering.

"FUCK!" Vi cursed, feeling blood seep from her fresh wound.

"I hope that hurt!"

Taking advantage of her daze, James kneed Vi's stomach and uppercut her chin with the pinkette spurting blood. James then grabbed her shirt and began to slam her into the wall, but Vi took a picture and slammed it on his head with another shatter. James clutched the spot with barred teeth and felt his collar get grabbed with a heavy blow that sent him stumbling to the floor.

He could feel blood coming out of his nose and mouth and James didn't have a lot of fight left in him. Vi wasn't in any better shape, looking like she'd fall down as she slowly walked to James.

"Stay down you prick." She growled.

James strengthened his resolve, seeing an ice pack not far from him. He weakly crawled to it as Vi tried to get there first. Alas he was quicker, and with a defiant yell, James hurled the pack at Vi who grunted with a loud thud happening shortly after.

The room was left with panting of the two. James was the first to get up, inhaling sharply from the bruises felt everywhere. He wiped some blood off his nose, looking at the door as his mind was quickly made up.

"You know I didn't have to let you in that night James." Vi said in a low voice. "I could've slammed the door on your desperate face and left you on your own… but I didn't. You know why?"

James limped to the door. "You're gonna tell me."

"Because you had Jani with you." Vi spoke. Her voice choked when saying those words. "If you didn't… I'd have slammed the door right on your face. You made a mistake that night at your home with consequences that would come back to haunt you. And you decided to bring them to me…"

He was stoic on the outside, but was hurting on the inside.

"Ekko was right about you." Vi coldly scoffed as she braced herself against the wall. "You never clean up your messes James, you just fuck people over for your own personal gain."

Those words fueled James with anger, but they turned to pain and he said nothing. James took Vi's words into consideration, looking at the phone Camille had left them on the table that was spared from their fight.

In a way this represented the mess Vi was referring to despite the appearance of Camille being from her actions, but Vi clearly didn't anticipate that. James was the whole reason this happened from the very beginning.

He took the phone and put it in his pocket, giving one last look at Vi who glowered. James left the apartment, and Vi spat loose blood on the floor.

"…"

James paced through the streets of Zaun as night fell over. He knew it wasn't safe to be alone when the sun went down, but James felt like he couldn't face anyone right now, not to mention he had nobody to talk to.

Slumping against the wall of an alley, James aimlessly looked at the wall opposite and his eyes began to glisten. A sad groan came from him and he covered his face as he slid down the wall, beginning to quietly cry. James pinched his bridge as he realized just how right Vi was.

She was his best friend, his only true friend honestly, and knowing she probably wasn't going to be there anymore because of his actions hurt him as much as having Jani taken away from him.

Once again, another reality check hit him. If James was acting this way, was he any better than his mother? Guess that's what Camille thought when she saw him so protective of Jani.

James kept sobbing for a few minutes before it stopped. Now that he'd gotten the emotional barriers out, he wanted to go back to Vi and apologize, but he had a hunch she would do something worse than slamming the door on his face. He couldn't blame her.

Just when he thought it was pointless, James remembered something. Earlier in the afternoon at the diner.

He reached into his pocket, taking out the card Leblanc handed to him… after the kiss. Ignoring that, James read the number and took out his now-cracked phone that still worked. He put in a few numbers before stopping.

Did he really want to drag another person into his mess? His mind quickly went into refusal of calling this woman who was probably lounging in a prestigious tub with a bowl of grapes right now. Vi's words echoed in his mind, and James bit his lip before putting his phone and the card away. He stood, loosening up as he wondered what to do next.

"Well what do we have here?" A voice purred.

James turned to the dark point of the alley, hands clenched for a fight. A woman's deep chuckle happened and out of the darkness emerged the woman who'd kissed him earlier. His eyes squinted as his expression was disbelief.

Leblanc kept smiling. "Surprised to see me?"

"How did… what're you doing here?" James asked.

The woman's face turned worried at his bruises. "Oh James darling, what happened to your face?"

"What're you doing here?" He repeated.

"Such questions can wait my dear." Leblanc answered, sounding utmost worried. She approached James who stepped back against the wall. Leblanc cupped his chin, James choosing to roll with it as she examined him. She saw the dried blood under his nose and clicked her tongue. "Aw, poor darling."

"It's nothing." James muttered, trying to hide the fact he'd been crying.

"Who did this to you?" Leblanc asked, taking out some tissues to wipe the blood off.

James sighed. He found her touch caring and exactly what he needed. "I did this to myself."

"Hmm?"

"I said I did this to myself." James repeated. "I have nobody to blame but myself."

He wiped his eye afterward, Leblanc looking at him and clicked her tongue. "Oh poor thing. You can't be out here looking like this." She softly said.

James let her wipe off a surviving tear, the woman done cleaning up the blood. She examined his bruises.

"So what're you doing out here all by your lonesome sweetie? You seemed to be in a distressed state before I came." Leblanc said.

"How about you tell me what you were doing in this specific alley at this specific time?" James asked.

Leblanc rolled her eyes. "Is it really far-fetched to believe I happened to be in the neighborhood?"

"Yes."

"You're a sharp one Mr. Holland." Leblanc grinned. "If I really told you the truth you wouldn't have believed me. So can we leave it at just me having a feeling?"

James decided not to dwell on it. He was tired and Leblanc had just cleaned him up so he could ignore the details for now. "Fine."

"Wonderful." Leblanc smiled. She helped him up to his feet, but James lost his balance for a moment and fell forward against the woman. Leblanc remained immobile and broadly grinned at him. James straightened himself out and apologized.

"You seem to be in bad shape my darling." Leblanc spoke. "Can you even walk straight?"

"I'm fine." James muttered.

"Are you certain?" She asked with a slithery tone.

That made him freeze for a moment. Leblanc was still giving her assistance to him. James felt his cheeks burning red as he kept looking into her amber eyes. Leblanc's right hand went off his arm, moving to his back as she leaned closer to him, seductively smiling like a predator before it would take its prey.

"Do you trust me?" She whispered.

James breathed out a long groan. It was like earlier at the diner, except more private.

"Yes." He answered.

"Trust in me… it's going to be alright." Leblanc's voice soothed.

She pressed her lips against his and they kissed silently. James let out a relaxed breath and Leblanc took his hand.

"Let's get you cleaned up."

Stay tuned for more. And don't worry this won't be the last time Vi and James interact. I'll also have him meeting Akali in the future :)

Till next time!
