As always, I'm issuing my challenge once again to make sure all of you can see. I challenge any of you willing to accept to make your own version of this story with another RWBY character. It could be whoever you want, from either someone in the titular team of RWBY, or one of their good friends from JNPR, to even someone like Penny, Qrow or Neo! I dare you to challenge yourselves and your imaginations! See what you can come up with!

But now, back to Pyrrha's adventures with the Wall Crawler!

The two heroes left the scene of their run-in with Sable a bit sour, Spider-Man for being brought down so easily and Pyrrha getting a very nasty vibe from that woman. Suddenly, they received a call from Yuri. "Hey, sorry about that whole Sable thing... I should've told you earlier, but it all happened so fast." Yuri told them.

"Aw, it's okay. We're still best buds." Peter said.

"I think I'm better buds with Pyrrha than you." Yuri countered.

"Thank you." Pyrrha said with a smile.

"But you've known me way longer!" Peter complained.

"And you've left way more, way bigger messes for me to clean up. Anyway, Sable has Mayor Osborn's ear and unchecked authority." Yuri explained.

"I don't like the sound of that. I got a very bad vibe from her, Yuri. I feel like she'll be willing to break the rules and harass the public if it means getting her job done." Pyrrha said.

"Again: unchecked authority. Whatever methods she decides to use, she's free to use. The mayor won't do anything about it and I'm not allowed to do anything about it." Yuri told her. "So, we've searched the address you gave me. Found plenty of evidence for a bomb plot, but nothing that ties it back to Martin Li." Yuri explained.

"We're working on that." Peter said as they hung up. "So... How do we work on that?" Peter asked.

"Perhaps Mary Jane has an idea?" Pyrrha suggested.

"Right." Peter said, looking at his phone. "Oh. She's calling now." He said, answering. "Hey, MJ." He greeted.

"Hey. So, I dredged up some records of Martin Li's other business holdings. He's got locations all around the city." MJ explained, sending them a picture.

"All these match up with our map of locations of Demon hideouts." Pyrrha noted. "Do you think that's enough to tie him to them? Yuri's surely seen the same map by now." She added.

"It's possible, but the argument could be made that Li doesn't use those places anymore and that the demons are squatters there." Peter told her.

"Still, let me know what you find at each one and I'll work on building a case." MJ stated.

"I'd say being a detective suits you more than a reporter, MJ." Pyrrha praised.

"I've thought about it, but there'd be too many rules I'd have to follow and I wouldn't be able to get the truth out to the same effect." MJ explained.

"We're heading to Li' office at F.E.A.S.T now to see if I can learn more about why he's doing this and what he's got planned next." Peter told her.

"Alright. Say 'hi' to May for me..." MJ said, but then stopped to think. "You don't think she's in any danger, do you?" She asked.

"No. Li's only got one target on his mind: Norman Osborn." Peter explained, before they hung up.

(Still, better to be safe than sorry...) Pyrrha thought as they made their way their, an idea forming in her mind.

The two were almost there, when MJ suddenly called once again. "We're running another piece on Jefferson Davis it made me wonder... How's his son Miles doing?" She asked.

"Not good. I've been there. The loss is all you can think about." Peter explained. Pyrrha frowned at this, not only for Miles, but she hadn't even considered what her friends must be feeling with her no longer around.

"He needs something to do outside of school. Maybe a part-time job?" MJ suggested.

"Not a bad idea. But it has to be the right job. Something that makes him feel useful. Like what he's doing matters." Peter explained.

"Kind of sounds like you just described F.E.A.S.T." MJ said.

Pyrrha wasn't as sure, however. "It's nice the two want to help him, but are you sure THAT'S the best way? saying 'sorry about your father, but go get a job'? I doubt that's something someone in a fragile state like he is now wants to hear." Pyrrha told them.

"Maybe not, but it will help him in the long run. He'll have something to take his mind off the grief. If you let it sit their and stir, it's not gonna end up good." Peter told her.

"Jaune..." She said quietly.

"I'll talk to May about it, then. We're almost here, anyway." Peter said. They hung up with MJ the second time and landed on the roof of the building, swapping their costumes for their casual clothes and entering the shelter.

May was moving through the kitchen, doing some cleaning when Peter and Pyrrha walked up. "Aunt May!" Peter called out.

"Oh, Peter!" May greeted her nephew with a smile and then noticed Pyrrha. "Oh, who do we have here?" She asked.

"Oh, this is Pyrrha Nikos. She's an exchange student who's been staying with MJ. I promised I'd show her around today." He explained.

Pyrrha gave him a quick glance for the cover story, but shook it off and responded. "Hello, ma'am. Nice to meet you." She said with her best impression of Velvet's accent.

"Well, nice to meet you." May greeted with a smile.

"So, if you're running the place while Mr. Li's out of town, who's doing your old job?" Peter asked.

"Me." May told him.

"We're free to help for a bit, if you need it." Pyrrha offered.

"Thank you. Do you two know of any extra hands that could help more often, though?" May asked.

"Actually, I do. His name is Miles Morales." Peter told her.

"Why does that name sound familiar?" May questioned.

"He's the son of the officer Mayor Osborn was honoring." Pyrrha explained.

May sighed at this. "I talked to him at the funeral. He's a smart kid. He's just having a rough time." Peter said.

"I knew a boy like that once." May reminded him.

"I remember it helped to keep busy. Might help him, too." Peter explained, handing his aunt a paper. "Here's his Mom's number." He told her.

"Thanks. I'll give her a call." May agreed.

"So, Mr. Li's still gone? I've heard quite a bit from Peter and Mary Jane. I figured he'd be hard at work here." Pyrrha said.

"I'm sure whatever he's doing is important." May explained.

"Well, we've got a few minutes. Pyrrha could help you here, I'm gonna go look and see if there's something I can do somewhere else." Peter told her.

"You don't have to do that..." May said.

"I know, but I want to." Peter said.

"It would be my pleasure to help you out, ma'am." Pyrrha added.

"Alright. Come along with me, then." May said.

Peter left as the two continued to work. They helped out a few people in need, but mostly continued to move large boxes and such. Eventually, they brought some boxes to the kitchen and took a small break, May looking a bit tired. "Are you alright, ma'am?" Pyrrha asked.

"Oh, fine. Just simply not as young as I used to be. I just need a break to get some energy back every so often." May explained.

"I see." Pyrrha said, looking around and noticing no one else was here. "I have an method that could give you some more energy, if you're alright with it. It's an... alternative method, though... If you're familiar with the concept of chakras or aura." She said. Luckily, she had explained aura to MJ, who had told her about alternate forms of similar energy the people of their world believed in.

"Well, I've always tried to have an open mind." May said.

"Very well. Then I'll unlock your aura. Close your eyes, then." Pyrrha instructed. May did so and Pyrrha put a hand on the woman's shoulder, closing her own eyes, before opening them, her irises shrinking as she began to glow a faint red. (For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance and unbound by death. I release your soul, and by my shoulder protect thee.) She recited mentally. As she did this, May began to glow a light orange color similar to her shirt. Pyrrha sighed and slumped a bit as they both stopped glowing.

May was a bit taken aback by this as she opened her eyes. "Well, that's quite something. I don't know exactly what you did, but I feel like I'm back in my 30's." She said in amazement.

"I'm glad I could help." Pyrrha said with a smile.

The two then got back to work, carrying some boxes upstairs until they ran into Peter and... "Martin! You're back!" May said in surprise. She then turned to Pyrrha. "So, Pyrrha, this is Martin Li, the man you've heard so much about. Martin, this is Pyrrha Nikos, an exchange student MJ's been looking after." May introduced her.

"Well, nice to meet you." Li said, extending a hand to Pyrrha.

Pyrrha struggled, but managed to contain her anger towards the man, putting on a smile and shaking his hand. "Nice to meet you as well. I've heard quite a bit. I've seen quite a bit of your work as well." She said, squeezing his hand, just enough to be slightly painful, but not to the point it was obvious she was trying to hurt the man.

"Well, I do what I can. Quite the grip you have." He said, pulling back and shaking his hand. "I'm also heading off again shortly. Just needed to pick up a few things from my office.

"You must have heard about City Hall." May said.

"Yes. Tragic." Martin confirmed.

Peter and Pyrrha were there. They were very lucky." May explained.

"At an Osborn rally? Didn't know you were fans." Martin said.

Peter simply stared, so Pyrrha stepped up to say something. "A fan of the officer being honored there." She corrected.

"It's a shame. But, what matters is that you're all safe." Martin told them.

"Amen." May agreed.

"But the bombers are still out there." Peter said.

"And it's pretty clear they have no intentions of stopping any time soon." Pyrrha agreed.

"Oh, I don't think either of you, or May, have anything to worry about, as long as you stay away from places you're not supposed to be." Martin said, directing this to Peter in a clearly warning tone. "Well, I should go." He said, starting to leave.

"When will you be back?" May asked.

"When my work is done." Martin said, stopping and looking back as he said this, before continuing.

The two heroes said nothing, but simply glared after him.

Martin Li was about to get in a car, his negative side threatening to leak out as his eyes glowed white. He then looked up as Peter and Pyrrha exited the building, looking to the handful of homeless people he'd corrupted to attack the two. They looked at him for a moment, before sensing the danger, ducking and stepping back a few paces from their attackers. "Wait, wait, wait!" Peter cried out urgently.

"We don't have to do this, please! I don't want to fight you!" Pyrrha said, almost desperately. But the four continued to attack them. Pyrrha grabbed her attackers arm as one of them threw a punch, twisting his arm and bringing him to the ground, before sweeping the legs out from under the nest one. Peter deflected one of the punches of the two that were attacking him, causing the attack to hit the attacker's partner instead, knocking him down, before Peter simply shoved the man into the wall of the building, knocking him out as well.

"Dang it! He got away." Peter snapped.

"There are going to be other opportunities. We will get him eventually." Pyrrha told him.

"You're right." He said as they made their way up to the roof without being spotted, suiting up once again. "By the way, May said that you unlocked her aura. What exactly does that mean?" He asked.

"It's what gives me my abilities. It's the power that comes from my very soul. It heals minor wounds and can even stop some attacks, like a force field." She explained, smiling at the memory of Jaune recalling what it does. "It's just a precaution. Hopefully, she'll never need it or even realize she has it, apart from feeling a bit more energized, but now if she has a run-in with the demons, she has a chance to survive it. She should be fine as long as she doesn't discover her Semblance." She explained.

"Is that, like... your metal superpower?" He asked.

"Everyone's Semblance is unique, apart from one of my friend's families, whose is hereditary. It could be anything from polarity, to super speed, to stopping time itself for some people." She explained, recalling Weiss' explanation of the Ace-ops of Atlas.

"That DEFINITELY might be harder to explain." Peter said, shocked and slightly horrified. He then thought of something. "Hey... How come you haven't offered to unlock my aura yet, then?" Spider-Man asked.

"With all the powers that you have already, do you really think you need more?" She asked.

"Fair enough." He agreed.

"So, what now?" Pyrrha asked.

"For now, we call up Yuri and tell her about what I found." He said as they called her.

"Captain Watanabe." Yuri greeted.

"I got your evidence. Head to the F.E.A.S.T center in Chinatown." Peter told her.

"What will I find there?" She asked.

"A nice lady named May Parker... and some really weird stuff hidden in Li's office." Peter explained.

"Would you care to define weird?" Pyrrha asked.

"I'll show you later. Yuri, you'll see for yourself. But listen. He's got another attack planned." Peter warned.

"Where? When?" Yuri asked.

"I'm still working on that. But I think he plans on using something called 'Devil's Breath'." Peter explained.

"Sounds destructive. What is it?" Yuri asked.

"We're not exactly sure yet, but it's kind of chemical created by Oscorp. And it's dangerous enough to scare Fisk." Pyrrha explained.

"Right. We have a folder full of info on it. I'm holding onto it for now, but I'll send over copies soon." Peter added.

"Alright. We'll check his office. If the evidence stands, I'll put out an APB." Yuri said, before hanging up.

"Hey, considering Yuri's a cop in the line of fire all the time, maybe you should do that aura thing for her, too." Peter suggested.

"Maybe, but it would depend if she was open to the idea. And besides, technically, the cops are supposed to be trying to catch us. So, if Yuri had powers, that would be one less reason as to why she wouldn't be able to catch us." Pyrrha explained.

"Right. Well, then. Time to call MJ." Peter said, dialing her. "MJ- hey, just checking in." He greeted.

"Hello again." Pyrrha greeted.

"Peter, Pyrrha, hey. Listen, can I call you back?" She asked.

"I think you'll want to hear this." Peter said, before realizing something.

Pyrrha did as well. "Is there a reason why you're whispering?" She asked.

"Just... in the middle of something. How about we catch up over dinner. My place?" MJ offered.

"Oh, sure. I'll even cook." Peter said.

"Is this a private dinner?" Pyrrha asked.

"No, you should be there, too, Pyrrha." MJ told her.

"Alright, then." Pyrrha complied.

"Wait. Remember how you told me about Li's 'corrupting touch'?" Peter asked. "I think we just saw it in action." He said.

"How?" MJ asked.

"We encountered at F.E.A.S.T. We left right after him and were attacked by some Homeless men, glowing like the demons were. And, according to Yuri, like the guard who released Shocker." Pyrrha explained.

"So Shocker WAS working for Li." MJ said with a sigh. "It's all connected." She realized.

"There's more, but I guess we'll talk about it over dinner?" Peter asked.

"Yeah. See ya." MJ confirmed.

"Until then." Pyrrha said as they hung up. "So, what should we do until then?" Pyrrha asked.

"Well... Peter said, before getting a call from Dr. Octavius. "Oh... Doc's calling me. He probably wants me to head over there, so I'm gonna do that. I guess just look around the city and help where you can." Peter instructed.

"Very well." Pyrrha agreed, the two heading off. Pyrrha searched around the city, before receiving a call of her own. "Hello?" She asked.

"It's been a while." Taskmaster's voice came from the other side.

"You again..." She said angrily.

"Yes. So, it's come to my attention that a band of mercenaries has recently infiltrated the city and has started taking hostages." He explained.

"And these mercenaries work for you, I take it?" She asked.

"No. All I know is they're heavily armed and payed well." He explained. "They have a hostage being held near your location in the Upper East Side. If they spot you, they'll kill him. Stealth doesn't seem to be your strong suit. Let's see if you can prove me wrong. And try to be quick AND sneaky." He said, hanging up.

Pyrrha then arrived on a building across from the complex where these thugs were. There were 3 on the highest roof, two the balconies below the roof, one on each, three more on the roof of the building just in front of those balconies and two more on the outside area of the building under this roof. "I'll have to move fast." She said, going up to the highest roof first. She got onto the water tower of that rooftop and observed the locations of the three mercenaries there: one just below her, one not too far way, looking over the side of the building where all the others were and the last one patrolling the rooftop, currently on the other side.

Pyrrha dropped a vial of liquid metal on the thug below her, yanking him up and sticking him to the side of the water tower. She then leapt to the the lights the mercenaries had set up as the patrolling merc passed below it, hitting him with another vial of the liquid metal and pulling him up to attach him just below her on the light tower. She then used the gauntlets to levitate herself at high speeds, slamming into the last merc on the rooftop, taking him down. She then moved to the right end of the building and dropped down on the thug below her on the balcony to knock him out. She then moved to top of the water tower on the other building patrolled by three thugs, turning and slamming into the thug on the other balcony. There were only five left now: the three on the other rooftop and the two on the building overlook below that.

She then jumped back onto the railing of the water tower and dropped another vial on the thug just below her, attaching him to that side of the water tower. Moving just a bit, she spotted the second thug over-looking the streets below, his back turned to her. Another vial of liquid metal and he, too, was attached to the side of this water tower. Moving just a bit more, now on the opposite side of where she started, she tossed yet another vial of liquid metal onto the thug overlooking the outside area of the building, yanking him up and sticking him to that side of the building. She then jumped down onto the light tower on the outside section and threw one more vial of liquid metal on the thug patrolling there, attaching him just below her. She then turned to the last thug walking along under a walkway and flew into him with her gauntlets.

"Not bad. Quick and efficient. And they never caught a glimpse of you. I like that." Taskmaster said as he called her.

"Why thank you, but is there any chance you'll come greet me in person?" Pyrrha asked.

"Patience, girl. We'll meet again soon enough." Taskmaster said, before hanging up.

Pyrrha just sighed in frustration at this, quickly freeing the hostage and leaving. She only got a little ways before she received another call. "Pyrrha. We're ready for you." MJ told her.

"Alright. I'll be there shortly." Pyrrha acknowledged, making her way to her temporary dwelling.

Soon enough, the heroes had arrived at MJ's apartment, MJ quickly letting them in. "Hey! Finally! I'm glad you're both here! So, you know that address you gave me? I went there." She said.

"MJ..." Peter groaned, clearly disapproving.

"That was incredibly dangerous and reckless of you." Pyrrha said, equally disapproving.

"I know, I know. But wait!" She said, picking up a small, circular device and handing it to Peter.

"What is this?" He asked.

"I've never seen anything like it before." Pyrrha said.

"Just listen-" MJ explained.

One explanation later...

Pyrrha and MJ were now sitting down in the living room as Peter was cooking dinner. "Tombstone... He sounds dangerous." Pyrrha said.

"He is. Super strong and basically indestructible." Peter said.

"You're lucky no one saw you." Pyrrha said.

"I know." MJ said.

"I wanna say 'don't ever do that again', but since I know you're going to anyway, here..." Peter said, tossing MJ a strange disk-like object. "Take a few of those next time." He told her.

"Nice." MJ said excitedly.

"But if you're going to continue this dangerous work, I should definitely unlock your aura as well." Pyrrha said.

"So, I'll have that forcefield thing like you?" MJ asked, to which Pyrrha nodded. "Awesome! Wait, as well?" She asked.

"She did it for May, too, since she could be a target for Li. It should be fine as long as she doesn't suddenly shoot lasers or something." Peter said.

"Right. So, let's begin." Pyrrha said, repeating the process she did for May.

"Whoa... I feel amazing! Almost... invincible." MJ said.

"You're still FAR from invincible. This just makes you A BIT more difficult to outright murder, which is still what most people will try to do to you." Pyrrha explained, hoping to deter MJ.

"I know that trick, Pyrrha. And it's not working." MJ told her. She then turned to Peter. "Whatever you're cooking right now... Smells amazing." She said.

"The chicken curry. Just needs time to simmer." Peter explained.

"No dumplings, I hope." MJ said.

Peter chuckled. "You're never gonna let me live that down, are you?" He asked, walking back around from the kitchen.

"You should never leave cooking food unattended, Peter. Even at low heat." Pyrrha told him, heading to the kitchen herself to keep an eye on the food. She remembered Ren always instructing her on the same thing, that someone should always be around to watch the food... Except Nora... Or Weiss, as they'd later find out from Ruby.

"Maybe that's what went wrong with the dumplings. I still can't believe they evacuated the entire building." MJ laughed.

"So, I'm confused. You keep making jokes, I can never tell if Peter's a good cook or not." Pyrrha said, stirring the curry a bit.

"He is, just not when it comes to dumplings." MJ explained. "So, let's talk about what you found in Martin Li's office." MJ suggested.

"Well, Li clearly has issues with Norman Osborn." Peter said.

"Yeah, but why?" MJ asked.

"The mayor doesn't seem to be very well-liked. And from what I've heard, he's made several... morally ambiguous decisions concerning the city. Maybe one of those effected Li?" Pyrrha asked.

"I haven't figured out what yet, but it looks like his next move involves Devil's Breath. Whatever that is." Peter said.

"All we know is that it's dangerous and Li should never have it." Pyrrha said.

"I'll look into it..." MJ said, before considering something. "I was thinking... What if we teamed up?" She asked.

Peter looked confused. "You want to be my side-kick? Spider-Girl?" Peter asked, to which MJ rolled her eyes. "Spider-Woman. Woman!" He quickly corrected, believing this to be the reason for the eye roll.

"No, not a side-kick. A partner." MJ explained.

"Oh." Peter said, still not quite understanding.

Suddenly, Peter's phone went off. "It's your crime system thingie. It looks like a residential break-in." MJ said as Peter picked it up to check.

"Charles Standish." Peter read.

"Sounds familiar." MJ said, typing it in on her laptop. She then gasped. "Oh! Oscorp's CFO!" She realized, then thought. "Wait? You don't think this has something to do with Li, do you?" She asked, turning to see Peter had already swapped to his Spider-Man suit, leaving his clothes on the seat beside her and Pyrrha had already assembled her armor.

"Sorry to cook and run. See you later?" He asked.

"Yeah." MJ told him.

"I'm sorry!" Pyrrha said, leaving first. Peter then looked out the window, then to MJ, before jumping out and swinging after Pyrrha.

A/N: That's another chapter done! I hope you all enjoyed! But please let me know, does their joking about Peter's cooking confuse anyone else? Like can he cook or not? You can't make him sound like an awesome chef considering it as a career, but then joke that every time he cooks he sets something on fire. Consistency, what's that?!

And also, please consider attempting my challenge. What would happen if someone else from the RWBYverse entered the Marvel universe? Maybe Ren could teach Peter how to cook those dumplings right? Maybe him and Blake could have swinging races through the city? Whatever you can think of, let's see it!
