Well I found a girl, beautiful and sweet

The village was lit up with dangling lights and lanterns as the sun set. It had been three months since she had returned and they decided that they should get married. The villagers were happy to throw a wedding after all times where peaceful now.

Though he got word that he was invited via Rin, he would not go or join in. He stayed on the outskirt overlooking the festival below.

"Can you believe that Inuyasha and Kagome are getting married! It seems your fathers lust for human wench runs in Lord Inuyasha veins!" The Imp must have a death wish,

"Jaken, do you have a death wish?"

Jaken sputtered back, shocked.

He was unmoving but watched as she joins Inuyasha under lights and fireflies, they danced hand in hand, but his eyes narrowed, they were both fools.

Inuyasha looked happy, she seemed pleased, but he wondered how long it would last. His own father could not respect the sacred vows of mating, how would Inuyasha respect them when his own father could not? Of course, it seemed to be a fading practice these days.

He looked at his half brother, the look in his eyes, he was looking at Kagome, but Sesshomaru knew, he was seeing Kikyo. Contrary to what others may have thought, though he hated the woman, Kikyo surly was his brother soul mate, and now because his brother truly believed that Kagome was her, they married. He was fooling everyone but him, but it was not his place to say anything or to care.

His eyes slid to her; she had come a long way from mini skirts and odds shirts; she looked like human royalty in her clothing. But she to did not fool him. She was in love with the idea of love, of this lifetime, their long battle together, he wondered if the girl had even given other suiters a chance. She thought she belonged with his brother for no other reason than the well had brought her back and closed.

There was no doubt his brother loved the girl, and she loved his brother, but it wasn't the same; they were not in love, they were both fools, and he knew it would be a matter of time. He just hopped his bother didnt come looking for him for a mating bond; he would not give it, not when he knew they were forcing themselves into believing this was right. No, they were merely afraid of being lonely.

That was the human in them, these humans, what did they know of love, of bonds so unbreakable not even death could take it.

If she expected him to be her brother, she was sadly mistaken, and he hoped Inuyasha corrected her.

He watched as the two danced, even though they were grown they looked like mere children in his eyes, being stupid. But he had to admit, she did suit his brother in some way or another, and perhaps he should not look down on him, he was in an away pledging loyalties to her, after all, she was now stuck here.

Who was he to say what was right and what was wrong, more importantly, why had he taken this much time to think on it, he didnt care.

At this time, it did not affect him.
