Olivia checks her watch, it read 9:45 PM, she sighed, knowing that she had to leave and go home to her loving son, hopefully Amanda would be able to handle this interrogation from here on out,

Inside Interrogation Room #1, twenty-six year-old single mother Melinda Warner sat across the table from Detective Amanda Rollins, Amanda looks at the ebony woman who looks absolutely terrified to be here right now,

Earlier that same day...

(Flashback)

Melinda was at home doing her daily housework when she heard someone ring her doorbell, putting down her laundry basket, she goes and answers the door.

When Melinda opens the door, she sees a petite, but fit Asian woman stand in front of her.

"Yes, how can I help you?" Melinda inquired,

"You Robert's Wife?" she asked, hostility coming off of the younger woman in waves.

"I am, who are you?" replied Melinda as the woman walked into the house,

"My name is Tomoko Meji, I work as Secretary for Robert, I came here to let you know that Robert and I have been sleeping together for the last two years and that I am pregnant with his child,"

(End Flashback)

"Mrs. Warner? Are you with me?" Amanda asks, breaking Melinda's trance,

"Yes Detective, I just spaced out for a moment," Melinda said,

"Can you tell me what happened tonight, Mrs. Warner?" the blonde detective inquired,

"I can try," replied Melinda,"

Melinda did her best to explain everything that happened up until her arrest without breaking down,

As she was talking, an auburn haired Hispanic female Patrol Officer came into the interrogation room and hands Amanda a file,

"What's that, Detective?" Melinda asks.

"A letter from you to the victim, stating that you would kill her, care to explain this?" Amanda asked, leveling her steely gaze at the older woman.

"I-I have no idea what you're talking about, I've never had any other contact or dealings with Tomoko Meji before meeting her tonight," the ebony woman says adamantly,

"We'll check the handwriting," Amanda says,

It was at this moment that Melinda burst into tears and began sobbing uncontrollably,

"Please Detective Rollins, you have to believe me, I didn't kill that woman, I wanted to help her." Melinda said as she wiped her eyes,

Melinda is then taken away to a holding cell and Amanda goes home for the night.
