The day starts with a group of young friends trying to convince a queen that they had no part in taking what was so precious for them to protect from others. The queen glared at them as she pointed her weapon at them as did her comrades. The mountain shook as lava began to spew out the volcano with volcanic rocks causing havoc among the island. The leader of the young group was trying to come up with a way to convince the queen that they never meant any harm.

"look, Queen Mala, we never meant any harm. We have the same enemy" he began as Mala didn't falter, "Give us time to bring back the eruptodon...please Mala" he pleaded as the queen lowered her weapon

"You have to work quickly for time is something you don't have," Mala said as she lowered her weapon "but I am coming with you. I may not your ways of befriending dragons but I will do this once" She said firmly as she walked towards them

The young man nodded his head as he motioned for his four-legged friend to come toward him. Jumping on his back he flew off into the sky with his group of friends following; they searched the sea to find their common enemy.

"Viggo couldn't have gone far with the erutodon," a blonde teen said as she rode on her trusted companion

"This isn't going to work...Ruff, Tuff, go with fishlegs and search the east side" He instructed as said people did as they were told and flew off into the direction on their trusted companions "Snotlout, you and Mala go to the west and see if any of Viggo's ship are heading that way" he said he turned to his blonde haired companion

"Well hiccup I guess we're taking the North," She said as she flew off with Hiccup following behind her

They flew for a few minutes until nets were being fired at them, their companions tried to avoid the onslaught until poisoned arrows were fired. Time suddenly slowed down as the blonde quickly moved in the way to keep her friend from being poisoned.

"Astrid!" Hiccup called out in worry when he heard the pained yell of his friend "Come on toothless!" He said as his reptile friend blew his plasma blast at their enemies

A blue dragon quickly caught her rider, the two were going to retreat until an onslaught of bolas and arrows were being fired at the enemy. Hiccup smiled when he saw his father and his tribe along with Mala's people working together to defeat Viggo and his crew. Soon the sound of worried yells gained his attention.

"Hiccup! The edge! the Volcano is erupting!" Fishlegs yelled frantically

Hiccup looked at Astrid and saw the look she gave him when he was about to suggest she stay to recover from her wound but thought better of it. The three flew off and when they reached their home they found everything on fire, they saw dragons fleeing from the edge in panic as their homes were caught on fire.

"Viggo is behind this" Hiccup stated firmly as he glared at the scene before him "He won't stop at nothing until he gets the Dragon Eye" he concluded as he turned to look at the gang "Let's give him what he wants, I have a plan" he smirked as the group split ways to save their home

After an hour, Hiccup and his night fury friend were waiting for Viggo near the volcano's edge, Astrid and Fishlegs were rescuing the eruptodon while Ruffnut, Tuffnut, and Snotlout were distracting Viggo's hunters. When hearing the sounds of footsteps coming closer to him, Hiccup turned around and stared at the man before him.

"I believe you have something that belongs to me," Viggo said as he held his sword with a calm expression on his face

"I have the dragon eye but as you can see, my dragon riders have your hunters on the run, you lost," Hiccup said firmly as he held the dragon eye while seeing Viggo's eyes darken

"I'm sorry it had to come this way Hiccup Haddock" Viggo said as he pointed his sword at hiccup

In quick thinking hiccup threw the dragon eye into the volcano, he was suddenly pushed out the way and saw Viggo crouching near the ledge. Before Viggo could go and attack hiccup the ledge suddenly began to crumble he called out for hiccup to save but he was too late. Hiccup ran over to what was left of the ledge and saw nothing but lava.

"Hiccup we did it," Astrid said as she saw the grim expression on Hiccup's face. She frowned as she turned hiccup to face her. "There was nothing you could've done," she said grimly

Hiccup sighed as he saw the fires being put out by the rest of the gang with a little help with a few scauldrons. When the group finally regathered after saying goodbye to their new allies, they saw their home in ruin. Hiccup sighed before hearing the dragons beginning to growl, he turned to ask Toothless what was wrong when he noticed how tense he was.

"Toothless? What's wrong?" Hiccup asked in worry

"Stormfly?" Astrid asked as well when seeing her dragon tense and fidgeting

"Hey Barf and Belch don't look good" Ruffnut stated as her brother held Belch's head

"Yeah, none of the dragons do...just look at meatlug" Tuffnut pointed out

Fishlegs held his dragon as he analyzed the dragon's behavior before looking at what Meatlug was staring at. He looked at the being in shock and a bit in fear as he tried to catch his friend's attention.

"Uh...guys, you may want to look up," Fishlegs said

They did as they were told and stood quiet when they saw what the dragons seem to be so tense about. Toothless growled at the other dragon before him as its rider got off its back and jumped down from the short cliff and landed before hiccup.

"Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third. I've heard so much about you" he said as he took off his helmet to reveal his identity "We have much to discuss" he stated as hiccup glared at him as he stared at the large night fury next to what time will tell...Friend or Foe
