Hey everyone, hope you enjoy this crossover idea I got for Yugioh GX and Young Justice.

July 4th

"Be on guard, Judai. The foe you are about to face uses magic and currently is in possession of a mystic amulet."

Judai nodded his head, hearing the instructions through his ear piece.

He took a deep breath as he felt the helicopter slowly descending to the destination.

Looking out the window he stared at the open sea. A soft smile grew as he looked back at the empty seat next to him.

This current setting felt familiar to him.

It was only three years ago where he was seated in a similar helicopter heading to Duel Academia.

The adventures he had in his first two years with the great duels.

Taking out a PDA from his left pocket, Judai browsed through the photos of his friends. Each photo was filled with smile and laughter on their faces.

Memorable events they were. The time he spent in the academia was the best. Well it was until that third year started.

Judai clenched the PDA hard as he remembered what happened not so long ago. His recklessness caused his friends and others to suffer.

"Won't happen again."

It was a few minutes later until the helicopter landed on the outskirts of an island.

Getting up from his seat, Judai grabbed his red jacket and started to put it on.

"Remember the actual mission." The person said through the ear piece. "Today could be the day."

Judai grabbed his deck of cards from his back pocket and inserted it into his red duel disk.

Opening the side door of the helicopter, he felt a strange aura coming from the center of this island. His eyes glowed to its unique orange and green color reacting to the mystic power.

His hands trembled from this feeling.

"Nervous?" Yubel asked within his mind. "You still haven't mastered your powers and this is not something you normally do."

Judai looked at his trembling hands, was he nervous?

His deck glowed bright and Judai could feel the warmth radiating from his cards. They were sending him support.

"My heroes are still with me." Judai replied. "Besides it's technically like dueling."

Yubel snorted. "Except you now need to avoid getting hit by punches, bullets, and magic"

"I'll get used to it." Judai then balled his hands into fists. "I need to in order to accomplish our mission."

"Niatnoc eht erutaerc!" Zatara shouted focusing his hands on the handful of floating purple phantoms.

A yellow bubble formed around the phantoms trapping them inside. With a flick of the wrist, the bubble started to get smaller crushing the phantoms into dust.

Unfortunately for the talented magician, more phantoms started to appear out of thin air.

"Not good." Zatara muttered to himself.

He was currently floating above the ocean and was a couple of meters away from the outskirts of an island.

Zatara felt Wotan presence in this vicinity and came as quickly as he could.

"To think he would try to do something so dangerous to society."

Zatara would've stopped Wotan's plan with ease, but out of nowhere these phantom creatures started to appear in endless waves, preventing him from entering the island.

Knowing if this keeps up, he won't be able to reach Wotan in time. Zatara took out a small round communicator from his pocket and turned it on.

"Zatara to Justice League. The sorcerer Wotan is planning to use the amulet of Attan to blot out the sun." Zatara said through the communicator. "The sorcerer Wotan is planning to use the amulet of Attan to blot out the sun."

"Requesting full League response."

"What are these things." Judai said as he slowly walked up the island, cautiously trying to avoid the phantoms that are attacking him.

It wasn't long ago that he arrived in this island. But as soon as he took a step and the helicopter left, these purple phantoms started to appear from the sky and instantly targeted him.

A walk that would normally take a half in hour now turned into a walk that would probably never end.

With his duel disk already activated, Judai placed another card on it. "Help us out Avian."

Appearing in front of Judai was a green humanoid creature with white wings and sharp claws coming from his left wrist.

Avian started to flap his wings and fly up in the air looking down on the phantoms blocking Judai's way. Extending his wings sideways, Avain flapped his wings once more this time unleashing piercing sharp feathers down on the phantoms.

Judai grinned at the open path and ran up the stairs, but as usual more phantoms came down towards him.

But before the phantoms could even attempt an attack, they were engulfed in dark red flames. As they disintegrated into ashes, Elemental Hero Burstinatrix could be seen behind the fallen phantoms with more fireballs swirling above each of her palms.

"Thanks." Judai said as he continued his way up.

"Careful Judai. Summoning two heroes is testing your limits." Yubel reminded him.

Yubel was right, ever since he started to summon his heroes to become real the best he could do was keep two of them in this world before exhaustion starts to kick on.

Already he could feel his heartbeat beating faster and the shortness of his breath.

"Need to end this quickly." He admitted, eyeing the peak of the island.

With his two Elemental Heroes holding back the never ending phantom waves, Judai managed to run up the rest of the steps. Finally, he was now at the peak.

Still cautious as he lifted his left arm up to his chest, which has his duel disk attached to. There at the center of this peak was the person responsible for this.

Judai eyed him up, staring at the light blue skin sorcerer who wore red costume with a black cape. He held up an amulet up in the air and was chanting a spell, but stopped after sensing Judai's presence. His red eyes slightly glowed as he stared back at Judai.

The sorcerer looked unamused with Judai, in fact he looked upset.

"Pity. I was hoping to deal with Fate or even that pathetic sorcerer Zatara." The man said as he put the amulet around his neck. "But instead I get a young human who is attempting to play hero."

"Who are you? And why are you doing this?" Judai asked.

"Why am I doing this?" The man started to laugh at the question. "You really do have a lot to learn, boy. And as for my name, you may call me Wotan."

Before either of the two can escalate the situation, they both looked out to the ocean sensing the presence of another sorcerer.

Judai noticed that nearly all the phantoms that was surrounding him were now flying to the arrival of the other sorcerer.

"Oh? It seems Zatara did come after all." Wotan said looking back at Judai with a dark smile. "Let me welcome him with a corpse on the ground."

His red eyes glowed dangerously as he effortlessly lifted his hand up and launched a magical orange beam towards Judai.

Judai quickly countered by inserting a card into his duel disk.

"Negate Attack!" He shouted.

The card worked to perfection as blue and red small sphere appeared in front of Judai, swirling around as it took the blunt of the attack.

Wotan raised a brow, slightly surprised at what just transpired.

Judai could only smirk as now both his Elemental Heroes, Avian and Burstinatrix arrived to the fight.

Both heroes launched themselves towards Wotan, but failed to land a strike as Wotan floated up in the air.

"So you can control these creatures?" Wotan asked as he rubbed his beard. "Interesting."

He looked back to the ocean where his phantoms were still blocking anyone from entry. His eyes narrowed as he sensed more people arriving to the island.

"The Justice League are here?"

His eyes widened out of shock as Avian flew up in the air and before he could react Avian grabbed him by the cape and threw him back down towards island.

Wotan got up quickly and stared at Judai, annoyed with him.

Burstinatrix walked in front of Judai with a fireball in one hand. She threw it towards Wotan with enough force to put him down on the ground again.

Avian followed up the attack with his featherwind attack, throwing piercing feathers at Wotan. With Burstinatrix continuing to throw fireballs, the two heroes were able to keep on the ground.

"Give up?" Judai asked as the man.

Wotan slammed his hand on the ground covering himself with an orange force field. The attacks from the two heroes were not getting through his shield.

"Your creatures are interesting, but they are weak compared to me." Wotan declared as his hands started to glow orange. Pushing his hands outward, orange beams came out of his force field and slammed themselves towards both of Judai's heroes.

Judai could only watch as both his heroes were put to the rocky ground unable to move. He sees Wotan advancing towards him menacingly.

Taking out one more card from his deck, Judai lifted it up in the air letting it shine brightly.

"I fuse Avian and Burstinatrix," Judai said, causing the two trapped heroes to turn into green and red light respectively. The two lights shot up in the air and swirled around each other as a new creature emerged. "Come on out, Elemental Hero Flame Wingman."

Flapping its black and white wings, the new green hero appeared next to Judai. He lifted up his left arm that was now a red dragon head and started to prepared a fire attack.

"Bring on all your creatures, they are no match for me!" Wotan shouted.

Flame Wingman unleashed the fireball from the dragon's mouth, but Wotan unleashed his own version of a fireball from his hands as well.

The two blasts collided with each other creating a bigger explosion that caused the ground to shake. The force of the explosion was strong enough to push both Judai and Wotan backwards.

"Weird." Zatara said as he blasted another couple of phantoms.

With the League's arrival, he was able to finally land on the island. Still the number of phantoms were multiplying, but they were pushing them back with ease.

Majority of the leaguers, such as Superman, Wonder Woman and Hal Jordan were fighting the phantom in the air. While Zatara, Batman and Flash were handling their fight on the land.

"What is?" Batman asked as he landed on the ground. He pulled out a couple of batarangs and threw it at the phantoms.

"The number of the phantoms have decreased dramatically." Zatara answered.

Flash spun around a couple of the phantoms creating a small tornado that sucked them in before running towards Zatara.

"That's good right?" He asked.

"Yes." Zatara nodded his head, as he eyed up at the peak of the island. "But the number decrease can only mean one thing. Someone is already fighting Wotan."

Judai was on one knee taking deep breaths. He underestimated Wotan and he paid the price by going past his limits.

With every passing second, Judai stamina decreased and with it the power of Flame Wingman did as well.

Wotan noticed the power decreased and took advantage of it by unleashing a barrage of energy beams towards Flame Wingman.

One blast Flame Wingman was able to withstand with his body alone.

The second blast managed to push him back, nearly hitting Judai in the process.

The third blast was the haymaker as Flame Wingman disappeared from this world and went back to the spirit world.

Judai's only defense was now gone and he was still on one knee, tired from this fight.

"You have a lot of raw power, but it's painfully clear that you are untrained." Wotan said as he was now standing in front of Judai. "Painfully." Wotan repeated as he placed a foot down on Judai's head causing the former duel academia student to wince.

"You managed to slow me down, but this is where it ends." Wotan said as he prepared one last blast.

"Judai use my powers."

Judai eyes once again turned to its dichromatic colors, the power of Yubel. With the small energy boost, he moved his head away from Wotan's foot and pushed him away with his hands.

"Neos!" Judai said as he placed his final card on the duel disk.

Immediately a white muscular humanoid appeared next to Judai, floating beside him.

"You still have enough power to summon another creature?" Wotan exclaimed. The evil sorcerer looked at Judai and was astonished to see his eyes now glowing orange and green in each eye. "What are you?"

Judai was beyond tired, but he can't rest now. He just needed to end this fight now.

"Go Neos!" Judai shouted.

Elemental Hero Neos took action and with great speed ran towards Wotan delivering a karate chop to the stomach.

For the first time in this fight, Wotan actually felt this as the hit caused him to spit on the floor and made him hunch over.

Neos shot his own beam from the gem on his forehead, pushing Wotan back near the edge of the cliff.

At the last second Wotan was able to use his orange force field to stop the attack from going any further.

"Enough of this foolishness" Wotan said as the amulet around him started to glow. He slowly stood up straight, though he winced as a rib was probably cracked from that one blow. He tried his best to shrug it off as he floated up in the air and his eyes started to glow red. "I will end you with the power of Aten!"

"Evomer eht teluma!" A new voice shouted.

Judai and Neos watched as the amulet around Wotan started to unhook itself and drop down to the ground.

"Zatara." Wotan spoke his name with obvious hate.

Wotan sees the rest of the Justice League coming towards him. He hated the fact that if he attempted to fight he would be beaten by their combined efforts, but being captured was not part of the plan.

"We'll finish this another time." Wotan said to Judai waving his hand in a circular motion, causing a portal to appear in front of him. He took one more look at Judai before vanishing through the portal.

Hearing footsteps approaching him, Judai let his eyes revert back to normal. And as his powers went back to normal, Neos presence left this world.

Judai hunched over, his hands on his knees tired from the fight. If he could he would just lay down on the ground and sleep an entire day, but he couldn't do that in front of the Justice League that were now on the peak of the island.

"Young man," Zatara said approaching Judai. The magician patted the young duelist on the shoulder. "You did a good job of distracting Wotan. He never got the chance to blot out the sun."

"Thanks." Judai said, attempting to control his breathing.

It was then that Judai felt another person touching his back, he looked to his right and see Batman walking past him going towards the amulet that was on the ground. He then noticed all the other heroes talking amongst themselves.

Judai was star-struck to see so many famous superheroes all together on this one island. They were rarely seen back home, and now he is literally a couple of feet away from them.

Batman interrupted his moment as he handed Zatara the amulet of Aten before turning his attention to Judai.

"How did you know about Wotan's plan?" Batman asked.

"Now, now Batman." Zatara said. The sorcerer put the amulet in his pocket before patting Judai on the shoulder again. "He helped save the planet. Besides it quite obvious that he is capable to sense magic, I even sense something special within him."

"You sense something special?" Batman repeated, glaring at Zatara.

Judai wanted to say something, but Superman walked between everyone and interrupted the little scene, he had a worry look on his face.

"Batman, it seems we have a problem back at Cadmus."

The news about three young heroes breaking into Cadmus and possibly being the cause of the building collapsing, was concerning. Now every Justice League member were flying towards the site. But Judai was surprised to hear that Zatara and Batman wanted him to join them to Cadmus.

Well he knew why Batman wanted him along, the Dark Knight wasn't done questioning him. But to hear Zatara also wanted him along was surprising.

Hal Jordan created a flying green floor for the non-flyers, but Zatara insisted that he would be the one to fly Judai using his own magical flying platform.

It was a unique experience to be floating up in the air by a yellow magical platform, knowing that if he took a wrong step or Zatara stops using his magic, that he can drop down to the ocean.

"Forgive me, I believe I did not properly introduce myself." Zatara said to Judai, extending a hand. "You may call me Zatara."

"Judai." Judai replied back, shaking the magician's hand.

"It has been a long time since I last met a Conjurer."

Judai raised a brow, slightly confused on what he meant.

"Before I took off Wotan's amulet I saw you summoning a creature, I believe you called him," Zatara took a moment to remember. "Neos?"

"The only thing I am having trouble is the fact that you do not seem to be radiating a magical aura." It was then Zatara eyed Judai with curiosity. "No. The aura you give out it is different."

"But you are able to bring out creatures using that device." Zatara pointed at Judai's red duel disk that was currently inactive. "Sort of like training wheels for your powers?"

"Uh yeah," Judai answered, rubbing the back of his head. "I'm still sort of new to this whole hero business."

"I'm still interested in learning more about your powers, magic or not. It's not an easy feat to hold off Wotan." Zatara said, giving Judai a smile. The magician looked ahead and saw that they were nearing their destination. He sighed. "But it seems that conversation will have to wait."

Judai looked down to see he was now floating above a city. He had to admit that was a quick travel. As the magical platform started to descend, Judai sees most of the Justice League already down on the ground all surrounding four young teenagers.

"They caused this?" He wondered as he noticed pieces of the buildings that was just destroyed.

The next thing he sees was Batman staring at all four teenagers and in a serious tone he said.

"Start talking."

July 7th

Three days have passed by since his fight with Wotan. Three days where Judai rested in his bed, occasionally ordering something to eat, but usually staying in bed to recover his stamina.

His eyes opened when he heard a chair moving.

Letting out a groan, he sat up on his bed and let his eyes adjust to the dark room he was in.

This time he heard his cat let out a meow. It sounded like the cat was terrified of something.

"Pharaoh?" Judai said, as he moved out of his bed.

Walking into the next room, he sees a figure sitting on his chair by the desk. Judai wasn't ready for a confrontation, leaving his duel disk near his bed. But he was ready to activate Yubel's powers as he approached the figure.

"Who are-"

Before he can finish, the figure turned on the lamp beside him. There with light Judai can see the person clearly.

"Batman? What are you doing here?" Judai asked.

"Duel Academia. A place where young people learn to become professional in duel monsters. A career that is very respectable out in the seas." Batman spoke, ignoring Judai's question. "Judai Yuki, a former number one duelist in the school, but now listed as a drop out."

"Someone did their homework." Yubel said within Judai's mind.

"I don't know if I should be flattered or creeped out." Judai said.

"Usually when someone uses a duel disk like the one you own; the monsters appear but only in a hologram. The monster themselves are not real." Batman continued, he noticed Judai starting to tense up. "Although there have been reports years ago where certain monsters came real. But that was a long time ago."

Batman stood up from his seat and held a manila folder under his arm. "Years later and you are the first and most recent person able to summon these monsters to real life."

Opening up the folder, Batman laid out a couple of photos taken by street cameras on the desk for Judai to see. Judai noticed each photo had a different Elemental Hero in it and a red circle showing himself not that far from the scene.

"You have been jumping from city to city, using these monsters to save people and fight crime."

Judai looked back up at Batman. "Is that a bad thing?"

"No." Batman answered this time with a soft tone. "But it's obvious you lack training."

Taking the photos away from the desk and putting them back into his folder.

Batman said one last thing to Judai. "I have an offer for you."

July 8th

Three days after the Wotan and Cadmus incident, Batman called in the four young heroes into Mount Justice.

The four heroes obviously wanted to be part of a team and would do anything to make it happen.

Robin the protégé of Batman, a young kid but still extremely talented when it comes to thinking ahead and planning.

Kid Flash the protégé of the Flash, a teenager who was smart and well at home with science, not to mention his ability to move fast.

Aqualad the protégé of Aquaman, from what Robin mentioned he can be a great leader.

And lastly Superboy. A clone of Supeman which means the potential for him could be incredible.

Batman didn't want these four heroes to be by themselves unsupervised. The fact that they want to take risk and become heroes is great, but they are not there yet.

So Batman knew he had one option.

"The six of you will be deployed in covert missions." He said.

"Cool!" Robin said with joy, but took a moment to realize the number of members. "Six of us?"

The young heroes turned around to see Martin Manhunter walking side by side with what Batman told them was his niece, Miss Martian.

The newly formed team greeted each other, but Batman interrupted. "The 6th member should be here any minute now."

Judai was standing outside of a cave, from what he has been told this was Mount Justice a former headquarters of the Justice League.

He was initially caught off guard by Batman's appearing in his hotel room the other night, but was glad that it ended well.

Being able to live in one area for the time being was much better than jumping from one hotel to another. Unstrapping his red shoulder bag he lay it on the ground.

With Pharaoh, his brown cat, sitting beside him, Judai started to take a step forward with his bag in one hand. Remembering to do one thing he stopped moving and pulled out his red cell phone from his pocket.

Dialing a number, Judai waited for the person to pick up.

Looking at the entrance of the cave, he spoke through the phone. "I'm in."

A/N: First chapter of this crossover is done.

As you can see this crossover will take place in one world where both Duel Monsters and DC Comics are together. The lore of Duel Monsters will slightly change in terms of the years it has been since the original Yu-gi-oh series.

Also I am still debating on who to pair Judai with in the future. Small chance that he may not be paired, but I am open to suggestions.

If you enjoyed it so far feel free to leave a favorite or follow. And please leave a review, it really does help
