It was Valentine's Day, but Naruto was unaware of that. He figured that this would be an easy day. He had been working a lot on missions and fighting villains, so he hadn't had much time for having fun. Since he didn't know it was a holiday, he figured that his friends were free.

Naruto pranced to Sasuke's house and knocked on the door. Sasuke opened the door and said, "Hi Naruto."

Naruto replied, "Hi dude."

Sasuke asked, "What's going on?"

Naruto had an immature look on his face, while saying, "Let's go have a party. We could dance, break random stuff apart, and do all kinds of crazy stuff."

Sasuke had a confused look on his face, while asking, "What are you talking about?"

Naruto nervously laughed and said, "I'm sorry. I've been working so hard, that I'm not talking normally. I need a break from all of the action. I want to do something fun."

Sasuke folded his arms and asked, "Do you know what day it is?"

Naruto replied, "Bro, I'm not a calendar expert."

Sasuke responded, "It's Valentine's Day. Sakura and I are going to be busy."

Naruto replied, "Oh crap. I didn't know it was Valentine's Day."

Sasuke asked, "Are you and Hinata going to spend Valentine's Day together?"

Naruto thought about it and realized that he didn't have much time to ask Hinata to be her Valentine's Day date. He said, "I better hurry."

Sasuke replied, "Best of luck."

Naruto said, "Thanks bro."

Meanwhile, Hinata walked to Naruto's house. She was planning on asking him to be her date. She gently knocked on the door, but there was no answer. She knocked a little louder, but there was still no answer. She sighed and said, "Naruto's probably busy. Of course, I understand why. He and the rest of us have been so busy. However, I miss him." She waited for Naruto, but he didn't show up. Eventually, she started walking away.

Naruto decided to walk to Hinata's house, so that he could ask her out. He ran up to the door and pounded on it, but there was no answer.

Sakura walked by and asked, "What are you up to?"

Naruto said, "I was trying to find Hinata, but it seems like she's not home. She probably found somebody else to her Valentine's Day date."

Sakura replied, "Naruto, there's no guy that she likes more than you."

Naruto said, "I doubt that." He started walking away.

Hinata was almost home. She walked past Naruto. Both her and Naruto had so much on their minds, that they didn't notice each other. Sakura couldn't believe this and didn't want them to miss their chance. She gently pushed Hinata.

Hinata was surprised by the sudden push. She was about to fall to the ground. Naruto turned around and saw that Hinata was falling. He quickly grabbed her and said, "You fell for me."

Hinata blushed and replied, "Yes I did. I went to your house, but you weren't home."

Naruto said, "I was paying a visit to your house. It seemed like we both wanted to see each other."

Hinata smiled and replied, "I'm glad we're on the same page."

Naruto said, "Today's Valentine's Day, so I was wondering if you'd be my Valentine's Day date."

Hinata replied, "I couldn't imagine a more lovely offer."

Naruto said, "Great, I'll pick you up in a few hours."

Hinata replied, "Okay." Naruto started prancing back to Sasuke's house.

Hinata walked up to Sakura and asked, "Why did you push me?"

Sakura said, "So you and Naruto wouldn't miss your chance to bump into each other."

Hinata replied, "I can't believe I'm saying this, but thank you for almost pushing me to the ground."

Sakura responded, "It's what friends are for."

Naruto ran up to Sasuke's house and started pounding on the door. Sasuke opened the door and asked, "What's going on?"

Naruto said, "I met up with Hinata. She agreed to go out with me."

Sasuke replied, "That's good."

Naruto grabbed Sasuke and said, "I need your help."

Sasuke had a confused look on his face, while asking, "Why?"

Naruto said, "I'm not good at dating."

Sasuke replied, "I don't think I can help you with that."

An idea popped into Naruto's head. He smiled and said, "I have a great plan."

Sasuke wasn't that fond of Naruto's eccentric plans, so he said, "Oh crud. What's your plan?"

Naruto replied, "You and Sakura should join me and Hinata. We can have a double date."

Sasuke responded, "No offense Naruto, but me and Sakura want to spend this day by ourselves."

Naruto looked confused while asking, "Why?"

Sasuke said, "It's Valentine's Day and we're in love."

Naruto replied, "That's a decent point."

Sasuke asked, "So, what are you going to do?"

Naruto put his finger on his chin and said, "I'll think of a worthwhile plan."

A few hours later, Naruto danced to Hinata's house and knocked on the door. He was wearing an orange tuxedo.

Hinata opened the door, wearing a red dress, and said, "Hi Naruto. Do I look okay?"

Naruto blurted out, "You look beautiful."

Hinata blushed and shyly said, "Thank you. You look really handsome."

Naruto and Hinata were both shy around each other. They deeply loved each other, but they tried to be casual about it. Naruto sweated, while saying, "Let's go to the restaurant."

Hinata shyly replied, "You didn't tell where we are going, so I don't know how to get there." She stuck out her hand and asked, "Can you hold my hand, so that you can lead me there?"

Naruto blushed with embarrassment and said, "Sure." He grabbed Hinata's hand. The two of them started their walk.

Hinata said, "Your hand feels nice."

Naruto replied, "You're the one who has a nice feeling hand. Your hand is smoothing and clean. I only wash my hands twice a week, so I'm not exactly the cleanest of people."

Hinata nervously asked, "You only wash your hands twice a week?"

Naruto said, "More or less."

Hinata didn't want to be rude, but she was getting grossed out. She let go of Naruto's hand and said, "I don't mean to be a clean freak, but I don't know if I can hold that hand."

Naruto felt sad and disappointed. However, he was determined to get to hold Hinata's hand again, so he ran to a nearby restroom and washed his hands for five minutes.

Naruto ran back to Hinata and said, "I just washed my hands. In fact, I washed them longer than I ever have."

Hinata replied, "I'm glad to hear that." She gently held his hand and said, "It feels better than ever."

Naruto said, "I hope I'm clean enough, now."

Hinata took a glimpse at Naruto's teeth and asked, "How often do you brush your teeth?"

Naruto said, "Once a month." Hinata sighed. Naruto didn't want to disappoint her, so he ran to a nearby store, bought a toothbrush, and cleaned his teeth.

Naruto ran back to Hinata and asked, "Do my teeth look better?"

Hinata smiled and said, "Yes, they look lovely."

Naruto started playing with his hair, while bragging, "My hair's so good, that I never I brush it."

Hinata asked, "You don't brush your hair." Naruto started running back to the store. Hinata said, "Naruto, please don't run back there. You're already wonderful." Naruto didn't hear her. Hinata sighed and waited for Naruto to come back.

Naruto ran back and said, "I brushed my hair. It's something that I haven't done in years."

Hinata looked at Naruto's hair. It was the first time that she saw his hair not sticking out. She liked how it looked, but she wanted Naruto to stop trying to make himself better. She already loved him.

Naruto looked at his orange tuxedo and said, "I didn't wash this old thing. Hold on."

Hinata tapped Naruto on the shoulder and replied, "Please don't go. You shouldn't waste your Valentine's Day trying to do all this silly stuff. Nobody's perfect. I probably have as many flaws as you do and that's okay. I love you."

Naruto asked, "Really?"

Hinata said, "Yes. Can you forget about trying to change your appearance?"

Naruto replied, "Okay then." He and Hinata continued holding hands, while walking to the restaurant.

A few minutes later, they finally arrived. They walked inside and sat at one of the tables. A snooty waiter walked by and asked, "What do you punks want?"

Hinata said, "I'll have a glass of milk, please."

Naruto had an immature smile on his face, while saying, "I want five different sodas mixed together." The waiter angrily sighed and walked away.

Hinata looked at Naruto and said, "I'm really glad that you asked me out. I tried to ask you out, but I was too shy. When I was younger, I had a few crushes, but it didn't work out. I was too shy and awkward."

Naruto replied, "I'm the one that has the awkward problem. I was super scared about asking you out. I was worried that you'd like some other guy more than me."

Hinata smiled and said, "No way."

Naruto replied, "I'm glad that you feel that way, because there's no girl I like more than you."

The snooty waiter returned. He placed Hinata's drink on the table and threw Naruto's drink at his shirt. Naruto asked, "Why did you do that?!"

The waiter said, "That's what you get for ordering such a dumb drink."

Naruto sighed and asked, "Can we order dinner now?"

The waiter rudely said, "No, shirt-stained customers aren't allowed in here. I'm expecting you to leave soon."

Naruto looked at Hinata and said, "That waiter's a snobbish jerk, but he might be right about. I have problems. I trust you to be honest, so I want you to tell me what's wrong with me."

Hinata paused and replied, "I do see one problem."

Naruto asked, "What is that problem?"

Hinata said, "Our lips aren't touching." She got closer and kissed him on the lips.

Naruto smiled and replied, "Thank you for helping solve that problem."

Hinata blushed and responded, "You're welcome." Hinata helped Naruto realize that even though he had problems, she has and will keep loving him. Because of that, Naruto felt like he wasn't so bad, after all.
