"They're not coming," The young girl told herself as Arche Eeb Rile Furt leaned back against the tree. With her magic somewhat low, she had no choice but to stop and rest. "It's just me now." How could she abandon them like that? They more than just her comrades, but her friends!

Practically family!

No! Stop it. She had to get back to my sisters. UreirikaKuuderika.

They were counting on her to come home. And so is…

"Why did I go?" Arche asked herself before the sound of bats caught my attention. She looked up two see three bats. "Why…?" She closed her eyes, her mind wanders to our adventures.

.

Arche did nothing wrong - that is the sad truth.

.

Arche was a fallen noble after the ascension of Emperor Jircniv to the throne, who stripped away her family's nobility. Even so, her parents continued to waste money as if they were still nobles and fell into debt. Thus, she hated her parents and wished to run away from home with her younger twin sisters. Somewhere in her lifetime, Arche was forced to become a worker, desperately taking up jobs after jobs to repay her family's debt.

It was then she joined Foresight led by Hekkeran Termite to take on more co-op missions. Arche and Roberdyck Goltron returned and met up with Hekkeran Termite and Imina. Hekkeran asked about the moneylender to Arche. She confessed that her family was in debt due to the extravagance of her parents' spending habits. Considering Arche's circumstances, though they deny that they are worried about her, Foresight decided to accept the quest from Count Femel to investigate the large tomb. Arche later returned home and scolded her father for wasting money as if they were still nobles.

She then went to see her younger twin sisters and decided to get away from home and take her sisters with her when she finished the quest. Arche and her companions soon arrived and discovered a huge amount of treasure in the four affiliated tombs. She and her companions would venture deeper into the underground tomb, and as they expected, more treasures along the way. However, they were then teleported to the 6th Floor's Colosseum and ended up meeting Ainz Ooal Gown and other Floor Guardians. Desperately, Hekkeran tried to deceive him, but Ainz saw through his lies and fought them as a warrior.

Later, Ainz decided to reveal his true power. This turn of events caused the terrified Arche to vomit, not only once, but twice, after witnessing the overwhelming presence Ainz actually had. Knowing that they're outmatched against Ainz, Arche's comrades told her to escape as they would stall him for her. Leading her to this moment. Arche's mind wandered to a memory - a handful of hope - that she had long since forgotten.

A young Arche, at least five years old, ran through the streets of Arwintar, the imperial capital city of the Baharuth Empire. Arwintar is situated slightly west from the center of the Empire. Although the population might be less than that of the capital of Re-Estize, Arwintar is much grander. Due to many years of reform by the Emperor himself, the Empire is currently experiencing the largest influx of development ever recorded in history. New things are constantly being introduced and brought out to society, giving rise to the opportunity for merchants to explore many new markets. A constant influx of goods and talents are seen in the Empire's capital.

For the citizens living in the capital, it is truly a time of hope and opportunity. Arwintar is the imperial capital of the Baharuth Empire, the roads are made of bricks and stones. No other nation has ever attempted such a grand endeavor in constructing that kind of city, due to the sheer scale and cost in funding this project. An impressive feat of civil engineering; Arwintar's existence is a testament to the might and wealth of the Empire. The architecture and layout of the city is quite advanced, compared to modern standards.

The roads of the city are segregated into separate lanes to allow for ease of traffic. Raised sidewalks and fences bordering the streets have been erected to ensure the safety of pedestrians. Public lighting is maintained and powered by magic during the night. To ensure public order, the streets are regularly patrolled by platoons of knights. Arche continued to run until she arrived at Central Market.

This market is the main hub of commerce, where business transactions and deals are brokered in the capital. It is divided into four sections each with its own specialty and market. For example, magic items in the center area of the Northern Market are sold so adventurers or workers would go there frequently to resupply and bargain magic items. Suddenly, Arche stopped in her tracks and noticed something. A statue of the Bloody Emperor, Jircniv Rune Farlord El Nix, was standing on a stone pedestal.

The statue of Jircniv had golden hair that reflects with magical illumination just like the shine of the stars, and gold eyes. On the verge of crying, she became startled when she heard a voice above her.

"You might be special enough. Hey, would you mind telling me your name, child?" Arche turned around and looked up.

Standing on top of a building was a young woman. She was a girl who hid her face under a white fox mask that had a blue trim. Her pink, hooded cloak was decorated with light green tassels and covered a white robe, light purple shirt, and light purple sash. Timidly, Arche gave her reply and said, "M-My name is Arche… Hey. Did you come from outside the country?"

This question made the older girl smile and ask, "Why would you say that?"

"Because I know you're not from Arwintar." Arche answered.

"Smart girl," she jumped down. "So how about you? What are you doing here?"

Arche slowly looked back up at the Emperor's Statue before sadly closing her eyes and standing back up. She answered, "The Emperor has just consolidated his power by removing the aristocratic families he saw as obstacles to his authority. After wiping out the major noble families, he turned his attention to the remaining nobles and revoked their nobility status due to incompetence. My family is one such family."

"Must be hard, huh, stuck in one place." The Fox woman asked.

Arche walked towards the statue. After a moment of silence, Arche punched it, leaving a very large crack in it. The Fox woman raised an eyebrow at Arche's frustration.

"I… I want to be strong one day." Arche said, "I know it's out there somewhere — the strength that I need.

"Strength for what?" The Fox woman asked. Arche clenched her fist and answered, "To protect the things that matter." The Fox woman looked to the sky after hearing that answer.

"Outside this tiny world is a much bigger one." The Fox woman walked over to Arche and summoned the strangest weapon she had ever seen. It features many gradients of pastel tones. It has a long, gold handle. The guard has long, cloud or wave-shaped portions shifting from yellow to blue on the top and separate blue pieces by the pommel.

The base features a gold fox with teal eyes set atop an intricate gold and pink etching. A few cloud-like golden parts are above it to either side. The shaft is twisted and pink, then yellow, then blue. The blue bursts into separate clouds which form the teeth. Set in the center of the teeth, perpendicular to the shaft, is a pink symbol outlined in gold.

The Keychain matched the blue parts of the blade, while the token is yellow and pink, inset with a Gazing Eye, a blue eye with a cat's eye iris. She held the handle towards Arche and said, "In your hand, take this key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking… its wielder you shall one day be. And you will find me, friend — no ocean will contain you then. No more borders around, or below, or above, so long as you champion the ones you love."

Arche stretched out her arm and grabbed the handle of the Fox woman's giant key. After a moment, Arche let go of the Key as the Fox woman released it. She then told Arche, "You've gotta keep this a secret, okay? Otherwise, all the magic will wear off." Arche nodded her head in acceptance.

She opened eyes once more and, to her horror, was graced by the appearance of two burning, red eyes. Defying gravity by standing on the trunk of the tree above her was a vampire of short stature and had the appearance of a buxom fourteen year old girl. Arche could only described her as a true beauty, she had pale, shiny skin, seductive, red eyes, and fine facial features. Her silver hair was tied in a ponytail through a large ribbon on top of it all, allowing me full view of her face.

While so, she wore a soft, black, evening dress with a big, heavy skirt. Her upper body was dressed in a lace embellished ribbon and a short tailored jacket. Her hands were donned with long, lace gloves, not exposing any bit of skin exterior. Arche tried to back away in panic at her sudden emergence, the vampire simply smiling down upon me like a predator stalking mere prey. With her cruel, glowing gazes, she playfully said, "I think that's enough hide and seek."

Soon afterwards, Shalltear killed her while she was still unconscious… or at least… the body was killed. However, Arche's heart was another story. A heart is one of the three parts which comprise a being, the other two being body and soul. The primary meaning for 'heart' refers to a metaphysical animating force.

The body gives the heart and soul a vessel, granting a person a physical appearance and a form. The body is a medium for a person's heart and feelings to be expressed in the physical world. The heart controls the body, so when someone becomes a Heartless, and his or her heart is released, he or she leaves behind his or her body and soul, which is an empty shell and usually withers away. The soul literally gives the body life, and is the difference between being alive or dead. It is the force that wills the body to live, and drives it to survive.

This information is what Shalltear failed to understand and, in turn, caused her to fail her task of killing the human. For Arche's heart never died. When Arche fell unconscious, her heart abandoned the body and soul at the very last second. It simply refused to die. Her heart now rested in The Ocean Between, the vast space between the worlds. It is threaded by the Gummi routes and lanes between, which serve as paths between worlds for those with the knowledge to use them. Empty vessels can truly grow hearts, but Arche prove that truly strong hearts can create a body.

.

.

A heart floated in a strange abyss, pumping as it fell deeper into the abyss, turning into Arche with eyes closed. She had blonde hair and blue eyes with a face that possessed delicate features. Arche's hair was cut to a length barely reaching her shoulders. Compared to other beauties, her prettiness lies in the elegance category. She also gave the impression of a lifeless doll.

In addition, she also wore a white bustier covered by a revealing and stylized blue cloak. Her left arm is fashioned with armor and a pauldron, while her right arm is distinguished by a pinwheel bracelet. She wears greaves. The empty nothingness became water, and bubbles formed in the wake of her descent. Sinking deeper as bubbles trailed her, she stirred awake and managed to right herself before settling onto a dark platform.

She looked around and took a step forward. There was a flash of blinding light as a large flock of birds rose from the platform, flying in all directions and scattering feathers everywhere. Arche shielded her eyes as the wind whipped at her. She watched them leave while the last feathers fell. The platform, shaded blue, now depicted her younger sisters, the twins Ureirika and Kuuderika.

Ureirika and Kuuderika's age were around five years old, both of them asleep. Arche turned around seeing no one, yet hearing a voice.

.

.

.

So much to do,

.

So little time…

.

.

Take your time.

.

Don't be afraid.

.

.

Now step forward.

.

Can you do it?

.

.

.

Arche took a few slow steps forward. A light shone down from above as a large stone pedestal rose from the platform in a shower of light and magic. The girl turned toward it. A red shield blinks into existence, floating above it. The Dream Shield had a simple design.

It was pentagonal and its bottom three corners were rounded. It had a red border and the top and bottom two corners all sported a silver bolt or pin. Most of the face of the shield was black, save for the prominent Mouse Head symbol in the center. This symbol was red and had a pale yellow outline.

.

.

.

Power sleeps within you…

.

Another pedestal rose from the platform, a blue staff floating above it. Both ends of the Dream Rod's handle were tan, while the handle itself is predominantly green. There was a wide, brown disk on the tip of the handle, which the head of the staff is connected to. The staff's head was a blue Mouse Head. She turned around to face it.

.

If you give it form…

.

A third pedestal appeared in front of Arche, who turned towards it. A metal sword appeared in midair. The Dream Sword was a generic short sword with a black Mouse Head symbol on the hilt and a blue handle. The pommel was simple and golden in color.

.

It will give you strength.

.

.

.

Choose well.

.

.

.

Arche was a former student and apprentice of Fluder Paradyne, who is known for being the strongest wizard of the Empire in the magic academy. She was a 3rd tier magic caster with an innate talent called the 'All-Seeing Eyes'. In addition, Arche was also able to see the tier of a magic caster. People thought she had the potential to reach Fluder's tier eventually. She was equipped with an iron staff that was covered with countless unknown texts and symbols.

With such talents, it was quite obvious which of the three items she would see first, with the sword to be dead last. She was no warrior. Arche approached the staff and held it up.

.

.

The power of the mystic.

.

Inner strength.

.

A staff of wonder and ruin.

.

.

Is this the power you seek?

.

.

.

The moment she heard the words 'wonder and ruin', Arche remember the monstrosity that was Ainz Ooal Gown. The sheer terror that she felt when she saw the overwhelming presence he actually had. After experiencing that dread herself, she wouldn't even wish it upon her parents. All her life, she wished to be some like that, but after seeing it first hand… perhaps the path of the mystic wasn't for her after all. Thus, with a heavy heart, she gave her answer.

"No," she said. She placed the rod down and turned around to face the other two weapons. She stared at the shield for a bit. For some reason or another, she felt drawn to this symbol of defense. Almost as if the path was calling to her. Letting go of her sense of control, her body ran over to the Shield and held it in her hands.

.

.

.

The power of the guardian.

.

Kindness to aid friends.

.

A shield to repel all.

.

.

Is this the power you seek?

.

.

.

Arche could feel his grip tightened on the weapon. She remembered how she felt that night. She remembered how Hekkeran fell to Ainz's negative touch and how powerless she was to help her friends. She remembered how she abandoned them. She felt angry - at her parents, at Ainz Ooal Gown, at his cursed tomb from hell, but most of all… herself.

She felt so weak and pathetic. Never… again.

"Yes, this is the path I choose." Suddenly, the Shield vanished from her hands.

.

.

.

Your path is set.

.

Arche turned around to face the other two weapons.

.

Now, what will you

give up in exchange?

.

.

.

Arche stepped towards the sword without having to think long. Ainz fooled her group into thinking he was just a warrior, giving them false hope. She would never be so cowardly. After she picked up the sword, she began to hear the same speech. However, this time, there was a different line.

.

.

.

The power of the warrior.

.

Invincible courage.

.

A sword of terrible destruction.

.

.

You give up this power?

.

.

.

She took a deep breath and said, "Yes." The sword disappeared.

.

.

.

You've chosen the power of the guardian.

.

You've given up the power of the warrior.

.

.

Is this the form you choose?

.

.

.

'No turning back now,' she thought before she said, "Yes." The three stones suddenly sunk into the floor, knocking the boy back onto the platform. The ground rumbles and he looked around.

'Did… Did I make a mistake?' The edges of the platform crumbled off and the platform shattered.

Arche fell through darkness and landed on another platform, shaded purple, this time depicting the sleeping form of her friend Imina. Imina was a half-elf, a hybrid of a human and an elf. She has a very slim body. Be it the chest or waist area, there are no curves on her body. If looked at from far away, it won't be surprising if people mistook Imina as a man rather than a woman.

Arche almost felt like crying. Imina looked so peaceful in the picture that Arche almost forgot that she was dead. The shield appeared in her hand.

.

.

.

You've gained

the power to fight.

.

.

.

She slashed at the air, mentally preparing herself for whatever trial was coming.

.

.

.

All right! You've got it.

.

.

Use this power to protect

Yourself and others.

.

.

.

She closed her eyes and held perfectly still. Suddenly, something rose from the ground. It had a vaguely humanoid body structure. It has a round, spherical head with circular, glowing yellow eyes. It also has two long, twisted antennae sprouting out of the top of its head.

Each of its hands has three clawed fingers, and its feet are large and lack any discernible digits.

.

.

.

There will be times

you have to fight.

.

.

Keep your light burning strong.

.

.

.

More of these Shadows rose from the floor. Arche remained posed, the Dream Shield in her left hand. Abruptly, Arche's eyes narrowed and there was a beat before they opened, a dangerous look in them. Arche charged and smashed the first Shadow several times before it fell. They faded back into the floor. One crawled around to her back.

.

.

.

Behind you!

.

.

.

Arche turned around just in time as the shadow pounced. It knocked her back and pain shot through her heart. Physically, she was fine, but it felt like his heart was being ripped out of her body. She glowered at the monsters. She charged at the first shadow, striking it down with her Shield before the latter has any chance to attack. She deflected attacks from the next two opponents before slamming one of them into the ground with her Shield.

Proceeding onto her next target, she knocked it over with a swipe of the shield, sending it flying into the air by ramming the shield up it's gut, before knocking it out by leaping upwards to kick it back down into the ground. Arche deflected and dodged an attack from another shadow before charging into the fifth enemy, smashing it to dust. A black void appeared in the center of the platform and she is sucked into it.

She batted the darkness away and woke up on a new platform, shaded grey, depicting another one of her fallen comrades. Roberdyck Goltron has blonde hair and blue eyes with a neatly arranged hairstyle, and a beard that is thoroughly trimmed. His appearance is a wise man that gives off a hearty impression. He wears full body armor with an outer garment embroidered with the symbol of a crest. A morning star is hoisted on his waist, and a necklace bearing the same crest as his outer garment can be seen hanging from his neck.

She saw a door near the platform edge and walked toward it, examining it.

"I can't open it…" she said. A treasure chest appeared and she walked over to open it. She turned around and a large crate and barrel appeared. She proceeded to smashed these items and opened the door.

Light flooded out from it and he walks through, squinting his eyes through the bright light.

She arrived within the dreaded Amphitheater where her friends perished. In this Colosseum known as Amphitheater, the intruders would be the stars of the show. The ones who will be watching their battles from the VIP box are consisted of Golems and members of Ainz Ooal Gown. The main event, of course, would be a brutal melee. Apart from the 1500-man invasion of Players and NPCs, every single invader was said to have met their end here.

This oval complex had a length of one hundred eighty meters on its long axis, a width of one hundred fifty meters on the short axis. As well as being the height of forty meters tall. The audience consisted of numerous golems that acted as spectators. While so, the sky shown here in the Colosseum could change depending on the time of day, even showing an actual sun with appropriate daylight effects. A six-story complex where members of Ainz Ooal Gown would sit and oversee the invaders of Nazarick fight for their lives at their leisure.

Surrounding her were the three monsters she hoped to never see again. Aura Bella Fiora is a dark elf and one of the twin Floor Guardians on the 6th Floor in the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Aura is a tomboyish looking child with dark skin and pointed ears, a signature trait of the dark elves. She has golden hair and heterochromia, her left eye blue and right eye green. She wears reddish-black dragon scale leather covered by a white and gold vest embroidered with the sigil of Ainz Ooal Gown.

Below it, she has a matching set of white trousers and gold plated shoes, and around her neck is an acorn necklace emitting golden light. She is equipped with a whip around her waist and a giant, decorated bow on her back. Then, there was her killer, Shalltear Bloodfallen, Floor Guardian of the first to third floors in the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Shalltear is a vampire of short stature and has the appearance of a buxom fourteen-year-old girl. Described as true beauty, she has pale shiny skin, seductive crimson-red eyes, and fine facial features.

Shalltear's silver hair is tied in a ponytail through a large ribbon on top of it all, allowing others full view of her face. While so, Shalltear wears a soft black evening dress with a big heavy skirt. Her upper body is dressed in a lace embellished ribbon and a short tailored jacket. Her hands are donned with long lace gloves, not exposing any bit of skin exterior. Then, the one who took everything from her: Ainz Ooal Gown, Overlord of the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

Ainz Ooal Gown has the appearance of an Overlord, an undead skeleton creature who is devoid of skin and flesh. He tends to mainly wear an elaborate, jet-black academic gown adorned with golden and violet edges. When he had no clothes on, his whole body alone is purely made up of just his bones. He also has a dark red orb floating under his ribs that emanate a feeling of dread. Furthermore, he has a type of tiny dark red glow radiating from inside his empty eye sockets.

Sometimes, however, that glow can become largely intensified, leading it to elicit faint reddish flames flickering about in both his two eyes. Additionally, Ainz has a dark halo-like object glimmering right behind his head.

.

.

.

Hold on.

The door won't open just yet.

.

.

First, tell me more

about yourself.

.

.

.

Arche calmed down after she understood what was expected of her here. She needed to answer three questions, each one asked by each individual. She walked over to the least terrifying of the three monsters around her. Aura looked up at Arche and asked, "What's most important to you?" She closed her eyes and thought hard for an answer.

Arche thinks back to her friends, Hekkeran, Roberdyck, and Imina, standing with her sisters. Waiting for her.

"My family," he answered. "I would do anything and everything in my power to help them. Even though they're all gone now."

"Is family such a big deal?" Arche frowned at the elf girl's insensitive question. She took a breath and walked over to Shalltear, hesitantly.

With the same smile she always wore, Shalltear questioned, "What are you so afraid of?"

Arche looked down at her hands in sorrow and shame. What she was most afraid of… has already come to pass. She worked so hard to keep what little she had, her friends, her sister - all that was precious to her - only for it all to slip through her fingers.

"I guess… what I'm afraid of now… is always being too weak to protect everything important to me."

"Being to weak?" Shalltear asked. "Is that really so scary?"

'Easy for you to say,' Arche internally hissed. Finally, she gulped in fear as she approached the Master of Nazarick. He gazed down at her with those dark red glow radiating from inside his empty eye sockets.

"What do you want out of life?" Ainz asked. Arche took another gulp before taking big deep breaths. Firmly she gave her answer.

"To recover something important that I lost," she replied. "To have the strength to protect all that is important to me… at all costs."

"To protect what's important to you? Hmm… very well."

.

.

.

You want Family.

.

You're afraid of being week

.

You want to protect what's important to you.

.

.

Your adventure begins
in the dead of night.
Your road won't be easy,
but a rising sun awaits your
journey's end.

.

.

.

Arche nodded and said, "Sounds good."

There is a flash of light and Arche finds herself on a platform of a sleeping Hekkeran Termite. Hekkeran has blonde hair and blue eyes, has a healthy skin color that has regularly been exposed to sunlight. He wears chainmail in which a metallic jingling can be heard coming from beneath his clothes, which sounded like it is caused by the friction of chains. She walked across the platform and was suddenly surrounded by Shadows. The surrounding Shadows tried charging at Arche, who jumped up into the air only to slam the Dream Shield into the ground, knocking the incoming Shadows off their feet.

As the Shadows flattened themselves into a silhouette on the ground, Arche charges at one, jumping into the air and performing a somersault shield on her first opponent. She then turned around and uppercutted a second one with the shield, following it up with a spinning attack that sent another two tumbling away. As the rest charged at her, Arche rammed at the first one in front of her and smacked behind her at another. Another shadow scratched at her from behind, but she swept its legs out from under it and punched it up into the air, only to slam it into the ground. She then takes a couple steps toward an oncoming Shadow to jump up and launch herself off of it, allowing her to deliver a flying ram to another Shadow.

This is quickly followed by her rushing forward as she defeated yet another nearby opponent. As the fallen Shadow dissolves, she landed another attack on the Shadow behind it, sending it flying back. It attempted to block the incoming attack from Arche, but to no avail, as she simply broke straight through her opponent's guard before delivering an uppercut with the shield. She then notices several more assailants approaching from behind and fires a shot, using the recoil to send her flying towards yet another group of enemies. She elbows the first henchman and kicks him away while another attempts to swing at her, but is promptly blocked and shot in the face.

Arche then swung around and struck it once more. This is followed by another spin as she rammed it again, with the final hit sending it flying backwards off the pillar. Arche turned around to see the final Shadow charge and scratch at her. She promptly blocked the blow and smashed her shield against its face, stunning it and allowing her to follow up with a flurry of blows that conclude with an uppercut that launched it into the air. Arche then delivered a final hit that sent it flying back.

A light shined down, producing a glowing green circle, power radiating from it. She walked over and stood on the green circle and her cuts and bruises healed. The light split off toward the edge of the platform and stairs of stained glass appeared. Arche ran up the stairs onto another platform depicting none other than Arche herself.

.

.

.

The closer you get to the light,

the greater your shadow becomes.

.

.

.

Arche turned around and saw her shadow move after she did. Arche started to back away as the shadow pulled itself from the ground.

.

.

.

But don't be afraid.

.

.

.

And don't forget…

.

.

The shadow takes on the form of a large black Heartless with the shape of a roughly humanoid torso. It wears a black robe which fades into white tendrils at its base, and has draping sleeves that end in pink points. Its tall, pointed headdress covers its head and long neck with a criss-crossing design ending in a flair at the shoulders that resembles white hair or feathers. Its glowing yellow eyes peer through a skull-shaped mask. A heart-shaped hole cuts through its chest, in which is stored the chained hearts it captures, bordered by a bright pink design on its robe.

Three chains dangle from under its robe, ending in pink spikes that hang at alternate heights. It bears a grey staff with a black headpiece, which also features a heart-shaped hole through it. In panic, Arche ran to the edge of the platform, nearly falling off. She turned to face the Lich as it roses to its full towering height, gazing at her with eerie glowing eyes. She blacks out for a second before a light twinkles into existence.

It starts out small, but soon grows into an incredible brightness. It fills Arche's vision and she feels something metallic fall into her hand. She opened her eyes, nearly stumbling forward as the light dissipated. She stared at the large object in her hand. It has a pink handle and a rectangular, lilac guard with long spikes on each of its corners.

The long shaft is dark purple, had concave edges, is decorated by two indigo diamonds, and ended in a spike. The lilac-colored teeth are shaped like a large arrowhead. The Keychain token is a diamond resembling the teeth of the key. She stares at her only option.

Arche

Darker than Dark

Sometimes to find the light, you have to go through the deepest darkness.

The fight started as the Lich blasted large fireballs down at Arche, which she narrowly evades by back-flipping out of the way.

Arche then took her Key, Darker than Dark, and darted forward, landing a hit onto the Lich before briefly twirling and landing. The Lich swung it's massive staff, but Arche darted behind her opponent, landing several slashes on her foe as she spun. The Lich responded with 《Thunder Disc》, but she manages to block the attack, bringing Darker than Dark up just in time. She was, however, unable to prevent herself from being sent sliding back. Upon recovering from the attack, Arche looked up just in time to see her foe in the air preparing to launch 《6-fold Fire》 at her.

As the Lich attacks, she quickly dodged, but it persisted in its attack, sending her tumbling back. She then dashed forward with speed, preventing the Lich from landing a blow, striking it many times in the process. However, when she slowed the frequency of her attacks, her foe retaliated by blasting her with 《Thunder Disc》, but she leapt over the monster, but was caught off-guard by the subsequent swing of the staff, which sent her flying. Arche then stood back up and faced the Lich, blood flowing down the left side of her face. She then assumed her combat stance.

"《Reinforce Armor》" she casted, enveloping her in a glow. The Lich proceeds to charge at her and launches an overhead strike, but she swiftly deflects the blow with her Key, causing the former to stumble back. Arche spun as she cried spell she never knew existed: "《Blizzaga》." She stabbed the Key into the ground, which sends a wave of ice forward. This freezes one of the Lich's back to the floor, immobilizing it. It then casts 《Aerora》 at her as she ran forward and jumped.

With Darker than Dark glowing yellow, she rolls along the sword and slashes at her foe, destroying the ice crystals and knocking her opponent's weapon away. Arche then sends six beams of magic energy at the Liche, locking it in midair. With one final leap into the air, Darker than Dark glows with white markings along its blade and Arche dashed at the Lich, cutting right through it. As the Lich fell through the air, Arche jumped back and the Key vanished from her hand. Terror filled her face as she was left weaponless and the Lich slammed its fist into the ground, narrowly missing her.

Arche fell in defeat and a dark void appeared under her, sucking her in.

- The Woods: Clearing -

.

Deep within a large forest, there stood a lone ash tree within a clearing. There is nothing special about this tree - just a tree and nothing more. It is old and has lived far longer in this empty world than anyone would know. Each Star is a specific world. Should a star stop shining, that would mean that particular world has disappeared from existence.

However, some stars represent certain individuals as well. And this one is no different. A light fell from the night sky, descending towards the ash tree. The Heart continued to fall until it entered the roots of the tree, planting itself into the ground. Suddenly, the tree exploded in a show of flames and combustion, burning to ash.

There was only one thing Légna Træfiliah most out of life - a baby. She wanted to be a mother. However, as far as she can tell, that might not ever happen. She didn't understand what made so unappealing to men and women. She was an attractive Hǣlosían, wasn't she?

Légna was a young, petite Hǣlosían woman, who comes across very cheerful and friendly. She has tan skin, large, amethyst eyes and crimson hair almost always tied into a ponytail. A small part of hair on the right side of her head is curled. She has a perfect golden ratio and she wore a purple pleated, flower-patterned skirt. She wore black boots, a black spaghetti-string camisole under a white sash that wraps around her neck and over her chest, and a yellow patterned obi with a chōchō musubi knot and a decorative obidome to clinch the cords.

Two separate, kimono-like pink and white sleeves secured by purple cords complete the outfit. However, as a Hǣlosían, Legna was always taught that true beauty was found within. So was it her personality? Légna has a serious and stern personality; she is extremely loyal to the Hǣlosían Empire and will do anything to ensure its survival. She notably has a slight underhanded side, though Légna does so out of jingoistic motives but she retains her realistic outlook.

Légna shook her head, reminding herself to focus on her mission. Last night, a star changed position in the sky, moving closer to this uninhibited world. As such, as guardians to the World, the Hǣlosíans decide to investigate this strange phenomenon. After all, every star in the sky is another world. The light is their hearts, and it's shining down like a million lanterns.

Should a star stop shining, that would mean that particular world has disappeared from existence. But never has a star changed its coordination before. Légna sighed as she looked around the shore for anything out of the normal.

"Sïh dl trow… Ti's osh nadlis wuld," she said. "Tsøm læki lawen ñ drob lich."

(Translation: "This world… It's so lush and wild," she said. "Almost like a newborn child.")

Légna summoned her keyblade, Missing Ache, to her hand. The Missing Ache's design differs depending on its upgrades. The default design has a black handle and neck, with the handle sporting two protrusions on either side that curve upward. The guard is comprised of two chartreuse spikes that curve downward. The teeth are also chartreuse and resemble the top half of the Nobody symbol, with two of the spikes being longer than the others.

Missing Ache's Keychain token is chartreuse as well and has a shape similar to the handle, albeit squashed down. The first upgrade retains the black handle, grip, and bottom protrusions. The guard is a chartreuse that fades into green, and resembles an X. The blade has a golden design in the middle, the tip vaguely resembling a crown. The teeth share the color scheme with the guard, but is now longer, has a black spike on one end, and a W-shaped black design on the other.

The Keychain is shorter, and the tip has a spike. The second upgrade bears a redesigned bottom. The protrusions are smaller, but bear beige spikes. The guard fades into cyan and resembles throw knives, with a diamond in the center. The blade has V-shaped designs in the middle.

The tip has a beige design at the very tip with a blue diamond in the center, which is also present in the teeth. The spikes in the teeth are wider, necessitating wider black designs. The Keychain's token resembles X, but under the guard's color scheme. Légna's Missing was in it's second upgrade.

Missing Ache

Yesterday's pain is the Warrior of the Light's strength.

"Het gnert mesvig. (Translation: Give me strength.)" She 《summoned》 forth one of her Yume-jū, Setsurō.

Yume-jū are much like Pokémon with two key differences. Many are capable of speaking, regardless of whether they have a Creator or are born in the wild. If they have a Creator, then their form and powers are based solely on how they are imagined. If they are born on their own, then the form is random. Setsurō is a canine Yume-jū resembling a wolf.

He resembled a quadruped, light blue wolf. It had a white underbelly that extended up around its muzzle and eyes in a mask-like marking. It had pointed ears with dark blue tips and pink insides, big blue eyes, and a triangular, dark brown nose. There are four sharp fangs in its mouth: two in the upper jaw and two in the lower. Large tufts of blue fur extended from the sides of its head; three tufts on each side.

A bushy, white mane covered its neck. Four icicle spikes poked out of its mane, creating a shape similar to a stylized sun. The lower portions of this form's legs are white, and each foot has three ice claws. It also has a long, fluffy white tail. Setsurō looked to his partner, awaiting her request.

"Setsurō, dluø cüöyē baræd nâd ræchs rofyñå seitr aluger, riesælp? (Translation: Setsurō, could you be a dear and search for any irregularities, please?)" The ice Yume-jū gave a nod and ran off. Légna peered up at the moon above. She then said, still in her native tongue, "There are many worlds, but they share the same sky — one sky, one destiny."

.

OOWWWOOOO!

.

Légna turned around to the west side of the island, where she heard Setsurō's howl came from.

.

.

- The Woods: Misty Underbrush -

.

The Hǣlosían Queen briskly rushed through the Misty Underbrush as Setsurō's howling was joined by a new sound.

.

WAAAAAAAAH!

.

Crying. The sound of a baby crying. The moment she heard that adorable sound, infinite ages of maternal instincts passed down from one woman to the next awakened within her heart and Légna found herself sprinting. Finally, she arrived at a Clearing in the middle of the Woods where Setsurō stood over a mound ash within the center, the source of the tiny wailing. Légna slowly began to walk over to the ash, an orb of water manifesting in her hand.

Once she reached the small hill of ash, she used the water to gently wash away the ash, revealing the baby girl within it. The baby girl stopped crying and stared at the woman who returned the bewildered gaze. Légna tilted her head, causing the baby to do the same. To make sure that she was dreaming, the Hǣlosían Queen gently poked the infant belly, causing her to giggle and coo. Légna looked around to see if this adorable bundle of joy belong to anybody… Nope!

With that done, an idea popped into her head. This baby was alone on an uninhabited world with no one to care for it. No one would really mind if she just… took her, right? She looked once more at the small child and picked her up. Légna smiled and said, "Since this will be a new beginning for both of us… I think the name… Arche will do fine.

"It's a Greek word with primary senses 'beginning', 'origin' or 'source of action' (εξ' ἀρχής: from the beginning, οr εξ' ἀρχής λόγος: the original argument), and later 'first principle' or 'element'. By extension, it may mean 'first place, power', 'method of government', 'empire, realm', 'authorities' (in plural: ἀρχαί), 'command'." The cooed and giggled some more in Légna's arms. "You like that? Very well, Arche it is." Her right hand went to her pocket as she held baby Arche close to her heart with her left.

She pulled out a tarot card, The Sun (XIX). It depicted an infant riding a white horse under the anthropomorphized Sun, with sunflowers in the background. The child of life holds a red flag, representing the blood of renewal while a smiling sun shines down on him, representing accomplishment.

"The conscious mind prevails over the fears and illusions of the unconscious," Légna chanted as placed the card face up upon Arche tiny chest. "Innocence is renewed through discovery, bringing hope for the future. Thus, now awaken… my precious, Morning Sun." The The Sun (XIX) card went into Arche's body and she began to glow with an aura that faded from gold to silver to blue. She giggled as Légna smiled.

"Come, sweetheart," she walked away with the baby in her arms. "Let's go home."

- Waterfall: Cliff -

.

A young girl walked on a road between trees and grass. From above, tree branches frame her as she moved forward. Arche had blonde hair and blue eyes with a face that possessed delicate features. Arche's hair was cut to a length barely reaching her shoulders. Compared to other beauties, her prettiness laid in the elegance category.

She also gave the impression of a lifeless doll. She wore a white bustier covered by a revealing and stylized blue cloak. Her left arm is fashioned with armor and a pauldron, while her right arm is distinguished by a pinwheel bracelet. She wears greaves. She moved to the edge of a rock precipice overlooking lake, where a waterfall roared in a clearing of trees.

Accompanied by the night sky, it was like looking at a work of art forge by the Three Great Mothers themselves. Arche closed her eyes and laid her fist on her chest. Her heart began to shine a golden color through her chest, the light blinking with every heartbeat. She opened her eyes as the light dissipated. They looked to her left where she took notice of a cave like entrance to the Waterfall Caverns behind the Waterfall.

"Finally," she said as she turned to the cavern. "So that's where it is. Seems the phrase 'let your heart be your guiding key' holds true as always." She walked towards as the stars twinkled in the eternal night sky, almost dancing around the Moon.

- Chamber of Hearts -

.

Arche entered into the supposed heart of forest, where the sound of the waterfalls echo. A Keyhole was carved at the top of the waterfall rock face in the Chamber of Hearts. A Keyhole is a gateway in each world that leads to the heart of that world, so it would make sense for this to be it's location. Arche summoned Darker than Dark than Dark to her hand. She held her Keyblade up, pointing it at the Keyhole etched in the rock.

Suddenly, the Keyhole began to glow with light. Arche thrusted her Keyblade forward causing the end of the Keyblade and the Keyhole to glow. The area was engulfed in light.

The Castitas District is the most peaceful of the seven districts, without the presence of Heartless. The most notable locations include the Accessory Shop, the Item Shop, and an Item Workshop on the top floor of Accessory Shop store. There is a restaurant with magical self-lighting candles to the left of the town entrance, as well as a small House, a green-doored apartment. Directly across from the accessory shop is path to the harbor where the ships have docked. Arche nodded to herself, proud of her work.

ZING!

Something in the sky caught Arche's attention and she stopped, gazing upward. A bright star in the night sky twinkled and blinked out of existence. Arche's face turned serious. Should a star stop shining, that would mean that particular world has disappeared from existence, most likely from destruction by the Heartless.

"Not another one," said Arche as she shook. "I need to see if anyone escaped." She decided to search for the closest location and went west to the Harbor.

.

.

- Harbor -

.

Arche ran down the boardwalk of the harbor. She saw driftwood floating and a girl resting halfway in the water a few feet away. Arche gasped and she summoned Darker than Dark. Her heart glowed with light as she used her Hǣlosían powers to manipulate the water around the girl. The water gently lifted the girl to the Phoenix Queen and placed her in her arms.

Looking at the girl in her arms, Arche felt nothing but pain and despair in heart. What light that was once there was gone now, leaving to remain. But it seems that the light didn't leave without a fight because Darkness appeared to be built up, as if someone was trying their hardest to snuff out what little light there was or remained. Her theory became fact once she got a good look at what was once, more than likely, a beautiful pink dress. Arche's felt her heart grow heavy with anger as bore witness to how the dress was stained I spy something red, fluidly dried, and smelling of iron.

"This is…" Arche felt a surge of anger and gently rested the girl on the docks. The bucket trick may have been an old goodie, but this!? This was too far. Arche had to do something and save this poor girl from her own darkness. A light shines around Darker than Dark as she aimed it at the girl and released a beam of white light at the strawberry blonde's chest.

The girl pulsed with a dark aura before dispersing and being replaced with white. Exhausted, Arche almost fell to her knees before use her keyblade for support. Once she caught her breath, she picked up the girl and began to look to direction of her new home. The Bell House, a very large, multi level house in the shape of a large bell that was built into the rock face of a waterfall. The waterfall itself itself is left undisturbed, falling through a tunnel built in the core of the Bell house.

Most of the walls throughout the house are made of white stone, and in most rooms, the floor is black carpet. It has high ceilings and large doors. A common decoration is marbled pillars, portions of which are semi-transparent, and the base of each is gold. Arche kept a lot of house plants throughout the home. She picked up the girl and started to head to her new house.

- Bell House: Study -

.

Carrie White laid on a couch, her head propped on the arm and her hands folded over her abdomen. As she blinked awake, she took a moment to realize that this was not her room… or her house. The study was on an upper floor, accessible via a balcony through a sliding glass door. The walls and flooring are carpet, and bookshelves line nearly every wall. Ghira's desk is sectioned off from the main space of the room, on a marble floor two steps up from the rest of the room.

On the wall behind the desk is a painting of the view of a lighthouse, framed behind glass. On either side of the desk is a potted plant. The main area of the study has an oversized coffee table, around which is a smooth couch and two loveseats. Beneath this furniture set is a rug - dull green around the edges and a much lighter, paler green in the middle. Hanging from the ceiling are potted plants with small, red flowers, and on either side of the room is a marble pillar.

On the opposite wall from the desk is a white door. To the right of the door is a painting of an ocean with hills silhouetted in the distance. She raised her head with a groan.

"Wh-Where am I?" Carrie asked herself. " I remember… everyone laughing at me.

"Then… everyone started screaming and… everything going black…?"

"Oh, good. Your awake." Carrie flinched to the door with a start. Standing there was a girl she had never seen before, carrying a tray with a tea set on it. In order to ease Carrie's fears, she said, "Sorry, it wasn't my intention to startle you. Tea?"

"U-Uh… S-Sure," answered Carrie.

The girl moved to the oversized coffee table and lounge furniture, and set the tea set at the end where Carrie laid. "I didn't ask… wh-who are you…? a-and wh-where am I?"

"My name is Arche Træfiliah," she answered. "You're in my home here in Moondance Town."

"M-Moondance Town?" Carrie thought in confusion.

Did Arche mean that this wasn't Chamberlain? But she had never heard of a town called Moondance. Arche pointed at Carrie and continued, "I brought you here after I found you in the water. Hope you don't mind that I got you out that prom dress." Carrie mind snapped as everything flooded back to her.

The prom, that vile prank, the demons, her mother being consumed by Darkness, turning into that giant demon that mocked the cross, then… everything going black. Carrie began to hyperventilate as she hugged herself.

"Please calm down," said Arche, wearing nothing but a perpetually emotionless expression. "You're acting hysterical. Nothing can be solved rationally like this."

Carrie gasped at what she said. She looked at Arche who looked at her with those eyes. Eyes that held grief, but kept it locked away behind an expression of perpetual lack of emotion. Carrie was amazed. Arche spoke the truth so plainly and dispassionately.

Carrie didn't know why, but there was something comforting about that. She decided to take in her new clothes. She now wore a long, sleeveless, blue rib-knit duster sweater with a pair of white wing designs on the back. She wears matching rib-knit arm warmers, a black tank top, a denim button-up skirt, a black ribbon on her left arm, and black cycling shorts with zippers going down the front and a pair of silver-buckled black boots. As Arche poured the tea, Carrie apologized, "Sorry, it's just that something happened with that which I don't really want to talk about."

Arche put a cube of sugar in the cup nearest to herself.

"I hate to break this to you," she said, "however the truth is a lot worse than you probably think." Carrie's expression saddened, and she looked away, bowing her head.

"I was a regular girl," she said. "However, people saw me as an outcast and bullied me.

"They all made fun of me called me names. My mama was very religious and raised me by the bible…"

"Everything you are trying to tell me no longer matters because everything you know is gone." Carrie's eyes grew wide with horror at what Arche claimed.

"Wait no!" Carrie cried, "What do you mean? Is everyone dead!?"

Arche took a deep breath as she prepared to explain.

"In our World, there are many worlds that fall into certain realms," she said. "All of these realms are on their own plane of existence. Legend has it that long ago, there was one single world that was constantly bathed in the warmth of the light of Infinity Hearts. In the 'age of fairy tales', the world was whole and full of light, which was believed to come from Infinity Hearts, which was protected by its counterpart, the χ-blade.

"Over time, people came to desire the power of Infinity Hearts, introducing darkness into the World. In order to take control of Infinity Hearts, many people forged Keyblades in the image of the χ-blade, and they clashed together in a far-reaching conflict that embroiled the entire World. This event became known as the Keyblade War. In the end, darkness covered the World, the χ-blade was shattered into pieces and the 'true' Infinity Hearts disappeared into the darkness. However, the world was restored by the light within the hearts of children, as many individual worlds separated from each other.

"The remnants of the battlefield on which the Keyblade War took place became the Keyblade Graveyard, a scarred wasteland filled with the Keyblades of fallen warriors. The remaining Keyblade wielders resolved to protect the World from further destruction, becoming guardians of the world order, a law that has long since been broken. Prior to the release of the creatures known as the Heartless, the worlds were surrounded by barriers to prevent outside interference, making it impossible for different worlds to have contact. However, the arrival of the Heartless caused the barriers between the worlds to crumble and disappear, and some worlds were consumed by the eldritch horde." She looked at Carrie.

"Which brings me to my point… Your world is gone, consumed by the Darkness."

"So… everyone is gone?" Carrie sat there shell shock, not really sure how to feel. However, for some reason, she felt… happy, and sad at the same time. She loved her mama dearly, but Mama had tried to kill her, both as herself and a demon.

Everyone in Chamberlain laughed her, made fun of her… hurt her.

"I know that you are feeling conflicted," said Arche. "That said, could you please stop making my stuff float? I don't want anything to break." Carrie opened her eyes and saw that she was using her telekinesis, making a few objects float.

"I-I'm sorry," said the telekinetic as she proceeds to use telekinesis to re-organize the room.

"It's fine," Arche assured her as Carrie took her cup, shaking a bit. She takes a sip and suddenly felt as if all her woes were washing away. Carrie looked at her and summarized, "So, there are many worlds out there and these keyblade warriors protect them?"

"Yes, and I am one of them."

Arche held out her hand and Darker than Dark flashed into it. "Keyblades are mysterious weapons that play an important role in the battle between darkness and light. The Keyblade only lets a chosen wielder hold it, but those with the strength of heart to wield a Keyblade are able to give or take them from others, or take control of them if they have been abandoned. Those incapable of wielding a Keyblade cannot keep it, even if a wielder hands it to them. A wielder is able to summon or dispel their Keyblades at will.

Arche dispelled her keyblade and continued, "The Keyblade's signature ability is the power to open or close any lock or door, be it to a physical object, to the heart of a person or world, or to a gate or pathway between worlds. For objects like treasure chests, this merely requires tapping the chest, while for more magical locks, the Keyblade generally operates by emitting a bright, thin beam of light from its tip, or by being thrust directly into the keyhole or person's chest. They can also reverse curses and spells that trap others in different forms. In combat, Keyblades are wielded in the same way as swords, with the specific style varying with the wielder. Despite many Keyblades' apparent frailty or lack of a cutting edge, Keyblades are able to serve as both excellent blunt weapons and supernaturally precise cutting tools seemingly directed by the wielder's intent.

"Keyblades are especially effective against creatures connected to hearts or darkness, including the Heartless and Nobodies. Keyblades are natural conduits for magic; even Keyblade wielders without formal training are able to perform magic with power rivaling that of expert mages. Skilled wielders may imbue their Keyblade with magic for a variety of effects, including allowing the wielder to inflict greater damage or deal elemental damage to enemies. Keyblades can also be used to channel the powers of light or darkness. A trained Keyblade wielder can also transform their Keyblade, changing its size and shape.

"This can be used to augment its use as a weapon, or to transform the Keyblade into a vehicle form, known as a 'Keyblade Glider'. A Keyblade wielder can attach a Keychain or Gear to their Keyblade to transform it into a particular form, affecting both its design and abilities. Equipping a Keychain also changes the effect generated when the Keyblade is summoned; this effect is generally based on the Keychain's symbolism. Keyblades seem to be a manifestation of their wielder's hearts and desires and can act upon these desires even when the user is incapacitated, or even in another world or realm entirely. Also, a Keyblade may appear for it's weilder in a time of need even if it is not consciously summoned."

"What…? are Heartless… and Nobodies?" Carrie asked.

"Those 'demons' that attacked you are the Heartless," explained Arche. "However, despite what you have been taught," she stood up from the couch, "not all devils and demons are evil, much like all beings are. However, that is beside the point. The Heartless are beings of darkness that manifest in two forms, 'Pureblood' and 'Emblem'.

"While most Heartless are in fact manifested hearts, they behave entirely devoid of emotion, and thus were named 'Heartless'. Pureblood Heartless are natural Heartless, born from the darkness in people's hearts. They are more common in places that are close to or saturated in darkness. Upon their destruction, they simply disappear in puffs of darkness, without a heart leaving its body. While Purebloods have less variety, they are far more numerous in quantity and often attack in swarms.

"Emblem Heartless, on the other hand, were originally created from a machine designed to reproduce the process of a heart being consumed by darkness. Once that machine was activated, most stolen hearts become Emblems, provided they contain darkness. They are more common on the worlds within the Realm of Light, and usually mimic the shape of creatures or objects within that world. Heartless – Emblem or Pureblood – possess several key characteristics that define them as Heartless. Pureblood Heartless are generated naturally from the darkness within people's hearts.

"Heartless are born when a heart is consumed by the darkness within it, or when a Heartless steals the heart. They can also be drawn out by a dark being or a source of dark power. This process will occasionally also form Nobodies, which are born from the body and soul left behind when the heart is lost. Being born from darkness, they are mindless and act on instinct; because of such, their only goal is stealing more hearts to turn into Heartless. But what they desire above all are the hearts of worlds, and thus they enter worlds in search of the way into the hearts of the worlds."

Arche walked over to the window as she continued, "At the same time, Heartless seek out the users of the Keyblade, since the Keyblade holds the power to lock and unlock hearts. If a Heartless is slain by a Keyblade, it will reunite with the body and soul it left behind, if it isn't currently a Nobody. In order to stop the users of the Keyblades, the Heartless use the Keyblade itself as a homing beacon, but ultimately desire to take the heart that commands it. Because of this, Keyblade wielders are under constant attack. Magic can also destroy Heartless, but only temporarily.

"The strength of a Heartless is proportional to the depth of the darkness from which it was born. The darker the heart forming a Heartless, Emblem or Pureblood, the more powerful and more monstrous the resulting being will be. This is a contrast to Nobodies, which determine rank according to the strength of the heart, and whose appearances become more human as they increase in power. Furthermore, as beings of elemental darkness, some Heartless are able to take possession of other beings or even inanimate objects, granting them immense dark power and often reshaping their very forms to suit their purpose. The Heartless, being mindless, usually have no master to direct their actions and instead act on the instinct to consume more hearts.

"However, there are some higher beings who can command them. Heartless will obey those with an affinity for darkness and a strong will. If many people attempt to control them, the Heartless will side with whomever is most powerful. However, those with hearts endanger themselves, as the Heartless are attracted to their hearts and if they show weakness, the Heartless will not hesitate to consume their hearts. On the other hand, higher ranking Heartless, can fully command other Heartless without endangering themselves.

"Heartless make use of the 'Corridors of Darkness', inter-dimensional pathways that connect the many worlds. These pathways are located in the Realm of Darkness, and thus are very dangerous to use if one is not accustomed to the darkness."

"Born from people's hearts?" Carrie said thoughtfully. "Well, in my town, everyone all abused and hated me… I think… even my own mother.

"Did the Heartless attack my world because everyone was so mean to me?" Arche shook her head.

"If that was truly the case," she answered, "they wouldn't have attacked you as well." Arche placed a hand on Carrie's shoulder. "Listen, nearly all beings have darkness in their hearts, but the levels of darkness and light vary from person to person. It was their dark Hearts that drew the Heartless to your world. Your heart also had more darkness than light, Carrie."

Carrie's eyes grew wide at the mention of her name.

"I… I never told you my name," she said. Arche looked away in shame before giving her reply.

"My kind, Hǣlosíans - Demigod Descendants of the Three Primordial Mothers of my world - have the power to see into people's hearts… allowing us to see one's memories."

"So you know everything that happened to me," said Carrie.

"But why did you say that I had more darkness than they have? I was a victim."

"That IS why. You had been abused and hurt for so long, you didn't realize how their mistreatment was affecting you. They were destroying the light within your heart, Carrie. Day by day and little by little, their cruelty towards you ate away at your light. All that was left in your heart was misery and despair when I found you."

Carrie looked down in shame and said, "W-Well, I was too weak to do anything."

"I wasn't blaming you," said Arche in response. "Like you said, you were the victim. But you are not weak." Carrie looked at her in surprise.

"For almost eighteen years, you struggled and fought against the darkness trying to grow inside of you. That takes far more strength than you know, but everyone has a breaking point. You should never be ashamed for something that was not your fault. Darkness is a force parallel to light - it is not entirely malevolent. True, Darkness creates and feeds off of primal emotions such as revenge, hate, greed, and fear.

"However, light and darkness are interdependent and cannot exist without one another."

"So are you saying that I should control my darkness and my powers?"

"Not exactly," was the answer she received. "Darkness creates and feeds off of primal emotions such as revenge, hate, greed, and fear. In the process, it makes those it affects experience and exhibit these feelings while constantly making those feelings stronger, eventually leading to the affected becoming a Heartless and - rarely - a Nobody.

"If one relies too heavily on the powers of darkness gives them, it will swallow their hearts in a matter of time. Darkness can also change the physical appearance of those it affects the most extreme is a normal person becoming a Shadow Heartless."

"Did vengeance come to me because the students there set up a prank with that pig's blood during prom. I felt very humiliated."

"No, that's just called karma." Arche answered. Carrie tilted her head blankly and asked, "I don't understand. What is karma?"

"Oh, you and I have a lot of work to do." After finishing her tea, Arche stood up, stepped away and started walking past Carrie, who turned when she says over her shoulder, "You stay here for the night. After that, I'll find you place here in town you can stay." Carrie stared at Arche as she left before sighing heavily.

- Bell House: Pink Room -

.

Carrie couldn't sleep. Not because of nightmare or PTSD stuff like that. But because of the room which she was sleeping in. The white ceiling forms an arch, and a little over midway up the walls is a thick pink border with gold edges. In a few places around the room are arch-shaped bookshelves attached to the walls.

The room has gold sconces with pink teardrop beads hanging from them. The entrance area is three steps lower than the rest of the room and has a pair of white armchairs with gold frames next to a glass coffee table with a gold frame. On the floor beneath this furniture set is an ornate off-white rug with borders of varying thicknesses in a pattern of gold, white, gold, pink, gold. Nearby is a fireplace, above which hangs a mirror with gold curved, leafy designs on the black frame. Hanging to the left of the door is a thick blue curtain pulled to the side by a lighter blue tie.

In the back of the room is an enormous window with equally tall, thick blue curtains pulled aside by lighter pink ties. On the opposite side from the fireplace is the sleeping area. The king size four poster canopy bed sits perpendicular to the wall and is dressed with white fitted sheets and a light pink blanket with a pattern of rhombus shapes and black dots. At the head of the bed are three large, white pillows and one small, circular, light blue pillow. The bed frame is pale blue with curved, leafy, silver decoration with an apple shape at the top on the footboard and the top of the headboard.

The headboard has the same light pink rhombus-and-black-dots pattern as the blanket in its middle portion. At the foot of the bed sits a glass bench, the length of which matches the bed's width. To the left of the bed is a pale pink vanity that has a large, ovular mirror and two drawers with gold handles. On the floor, in front of it, is a small, off-white rug with white, ornate designs. Nearby is a small, circular stool with a golden metal frame and a light pink cushion. In the far corner on this side of the room is a gold conductor's stand.

The only light in the room came from the moon outside. Carrie's thoughts drifted to her earlier conversation with Arche. She felt relieved for some reason. She realized that in her mind that she wanted freedom from her abusers and she had no fault in her destruction of her home world. Her mind then wandered to her mother, how she turned into a Heartless before her eyes… and…

Carrie sat up with a start as the memory of a pregnant Sue Snell forced it's way into her head, panic in her heart. Her only friend, Sue. She had to save her because she was the only good person to her and her only friend. She realized that, if she survived, Sue might have been spared, too. With determination, Carrie made her decision.

She looked out the window once more before getting up and walking out. Her feet sounded across the floor and the door slams shut.

Arche straightened some paperwork on her desk as she hummed to the roaring sound of water. With the way, the waterfall fell through the manor's core tunnel, the sound of the waterfalls echoed throughout the house like a calming, soothing heartbeat. And the thunderous noise was so calming, that she did not notice a shimmering light - at least not right away. When she did, she stood from her seat and turned around to the light.

Carrie opened the door and peered in to see Arche standing before a shimmering light. Carrie had entered into the room, and she watched Arche timidly while the door shut behind her. She startled at the sound while Arche remained focused on the light. There is a silence as Arche listened. Finally, she said, Yes, I understand. Farewell."

Carrie began to walk across the room to stand before Arche's desk.

"Arche…" she started. "I-I've been thinking and… I would like for you to take me to other worlds with you. You see, , I… I need to find my friend Sue Snell. Back in Chamberlain… she was trying to be nice to me. Asking Tommy to take me to the dance.

"And now… I think she's lost out there. Pregnant and alone. I owe it to her, as my first friend, to save her. Please…! Let me come with you!" Carrie stared at Arche for several beats before speaking again. "A-Arche -"

The Hǣlosían Queen cut Carrie off with a wave of her hand. Arche then strode over to the window, looking down to the waterfall's lake below.

"The person I have just finished speaking to was Grandmaster Gwydion fab Dôn." Arche explained. "He leads the Grand Council of Magic. Unlike one of his colleagues, Master Yen Sid, he has never been a Keyblade Master. However, he and the Council keeps a close eye on the tides of light and darkness. Their counsel serves as signposts on the road we wielders of the Keyblade must walk.

"All the more reason, then, for concern — for he tells me the worlds are in danger."

"In… danger? From what?" Carrie asked.

"Heartless, remember?" Arche turned around. "The same monsters that destroyed your world." Carrie was horrified by this news. She hand seen what those monsters could do first hand.

Expressing her fear, she laid her fist on her chest, her eyes wide. "As wielders of the Keyblade and a Hǣlosían, I am tasked with striking down any who would upset the balance of light and darkness." Arche walked over to her desk and placed a silver orb on it. The center of the room projects a hologram of thirteen individuals appeared. In the center, a young man who is very short for his age, having a round, refined face, which came off as a 'baby face'.

It was framed by blue hair which is always seen in his distinctive hairstyle. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, their irises the same blue color as his hair, giving him an innocent appearance. He wore a long blue cape with white as an inverted colour, white and golden top, black pants and a long white gloves. He also wore blue and gold armored boots and a golden armored section that covered his abdomen. To his right was a young man with the appearance of a normal teenager.

His most notable features are his black hair with a stray strand and his brown eyes. He wore a short-sleeve, black leather bomber jacket with a fur trim collar and a v-neck white shirt, black pants with three interconnecting red belts with a black side belt, black high-top, magnum combat shoes and black glovelettes on each hand. Additionally, there were fur ruffles on his jeans, a sash partially covering his right leg, and a lion's head belt buckle. On the bluenette's left was another boy, a very slim young teenager with ash-brown hair. His bangs are particularly prominent, covering part of his forehead, with some smaller strands reaching his eyebrows.

He has brown eyes and a small, mildly round nose. He wore a white, double-breasted tailcoat with dark red and black accents, most notable at the cuffs and shoulder pieces. The coat is belted at the waist. Underneath, the third boy has a black collared shirt and a red tie. He also wore two white gloves.

His suit pants share the same color as his overcoat and hung over black military boots accented in gray. There was a young lady with pale skin, red eyes, and an hourglass-shaped figure. She is a tall, young woman with long, wavy black hair. There is a beauty mark under her right eye's corner. Her signature outfit is a long black dress with red trim and belt.

It has a slit on the right side and a white strapped garment around her waist. She has pink legwarmers and black ankle boots. She wears a large purple hat and black fishnet gloves. A handsome, mysterious young man of average height, with a rather refined face framed by a short mess of fluffy jet black hair which sticks up at odd angles around his head. He is a rather muscular young man who is well-built for his age, despite having quite a thin frame.

He wore a high collar sleeveless black shirt, black pants, and black cloth covering his left leg. The young man also wore a pauldron, and his chest is covered by two straps, held in place by a badge that was a six-point star emblem near the top with the San'usagi Imperial Emblem. His boots resembled an armored version of normal street shoes in shades black and silver. Saitō wore a black, fingerless glove on his right hand and what appears to be a black gauntlet on his forearm, over the segmented armor, which also has small pieces of dark blue armor on it. He wore a floor-length, black jacket with the bottom half detachable with straps and dark blue.

The jacket also had it's right sleeve torn for the armor and a hood as well. He also wore aviators that covered his eyes and expression. Next was a Boy(?) who had beauty that was superior and outstanding even among the gods. He(?) has feminine hair that is short, fluffy, and white with a prominent ahoge, and vibrant, irish green eyes. He(?) is a petite and beautiful, pale-skinned young man(?) who was clearly the bishōjo.

He(?) just physically passed for a woman even though he was (probably) male? He was wearing a green, red lined haori that has a hood and long rabbit-themed sleeves that covered his arms. He also wore slightly shorter than normal, light-colored hakama. Underneath his haori, his wore a black shirt with a large white X pattern on the front. He wore pieces of armor, too.

Silver and red armored boots and a dull green section that covered his abdomen. This second piece of armor sported a six-point star emblem near the top with the kanji for sun in the center (サン). He also wore a large, wide-brimmed, green hat with large, floppy rabbit ears. There was a man with very long, flowing black hair. His hair is usually smooth, though it's also been portrayed as messy.

He has red eyes with symbols resembling target radars running across his pupils. His skin is pale, and sometimes appears grey or cadaverous. He wore black leather coat with a large collar that reaches his ears even when folded back, and is kept closed by a black belt with a silver buckle around his waist. His coat has a red-violet lining in the front. It was also very tattered and the sleeves of his coat end in metal rings in place of normal cuffs, and he wore black leather gloves.

There is an odd, black and red, fin-like growth on each forearm. His chest was exposed, revealing a grey strap around his abdomen with two black belts over it, as well as two brown, overall-like straps that intersect over his chest. He wore black pants and black knee-high boots, with two grey belts wrapped around each boot as well as a silver pauldron over each shoulder. The boy also sports a large, navy blue wing on his right shoulder, two more wings of the same color, one of which sprouts from each of his hips. After him was a girl with short, dark brown hair with a tint of green, and desaturated green eyes.

She also sports an ahoge which developed as she grew. She donned a modified halter-neck top with the symbol of St. Tomoe Girls' Academy across the chest and a red hood. She wore yellow armbands over her biceps, a brown bracelet on her left wrist, and denim boyshorts. She carried a pouch on her left hip over an ankle-length blue and white half skirt and wears laced knee-high boots. Her hair was concealed by her newsboy cap.

Then, there was a handsome young man in high school. He has straight blue hair and bands down to his neck and amber brown eyes. He wore silver armour and also a blue and gold tunic that covered the entirety of his arms and his shoulders. On his right shoulder is a wing-like decoration with a blue line down the center to connect to a golden rhombus. He also wore a pair of black gloves and protective gauntlets.

Armour is also worn on his legs, which go all the way up to his thighs, creating a symbolic blue flame to them, matching the appearance of his arm armour which is silver and blue. His tunic is made up of blue diamond patterns, over the top of which is a white coat. He also has a blue and gold cape which is made into the shape of a flame. A female in her early teens. She has blonde hair of medium length with messy bangs.

She usually wears her hair up, in two ponytails -the hair bobbles of her ponytails have orange balls. She has red eyes, fair skin, and wore her own unique outfit, consisting of a yellow and orange belly top with a brown vest underneath. It came with a matching skirt with a large orange bow at the back of it. It also had brown socks attached to it and metallic gold gauntlets and leg warmers, which have white cloth tied around them and traditional Japanese sandals with white socks. After her was a girl with fairly pale skin, large jade green eyes with visible purple dark shadows underneath them, and long unkempt black hair that she wears down on her shoulders, often covering her right eye.

She has a fairly small, circular face compared to the rest of her peers, and her figure is very delicate and petite. Her outfit consisted of a navy blue vest with a gold trim, a white long sleeve button shirt underneath, a pleated skirt with frills at the edge, black mid-length socks and black short boots. Her bolero tie is long and the colors are yellow and white and is tied at her midriff baring top. Her red gloves with a stylized written on the white lines. She also wore a black beret and an eyepatch over her right eye.

There was also a beautiful girl blue eyes and shoulder-length red hair that is usually tied in a small pigtail. She is buxom and has a curvaceous body. She wore a crimson, sleeveless, loose-button Cheongsam with yellow outlines on the collar and the lines of the buttons, as well as gold linings with black outlines at the center of her loose button shirt. At the back, it is long, ankle-length and with gold designs down the edges, while the interior of it is red. She also wore black leggings with gold line designs from her right leg and her left thigh and red flats with gold outlines.

She wore a single black bracelet on her right wrist with gold designs at the center and a single black mid-arm fingerless glove on her left arm with gold line designs. Finally, a boy who has short, spiky brown hair with an ahoge that moves according to his emotions. He wore a green, high-collared jacket with the emblem of his previous high school as his zipper. Over this, he wore another jacket, this one unzipped and white, with several black block designs and a grey hem on the end of each sleeve. This jacket's collar was red and pleated and folded back.

He wore a third layer under this, in the form of a plain, high-necked, black shirt. He also has a chunk of dull green and grey armor on his midsection that appears to be under his vest, and another piece of armor on his left shoulder. His pants are colored in shades of grey, black, and white. He also wore an ornate, dull green and grey piece of armor on his upper-left arm. His boots are rather odd when compared to others, as they resemble an armored version of normal street shoes in shades of crimson and silver.

Arche continued, "So here we are. Thirteen of my cousins, fourteen, including myself, have been tasked to get this situation under control. That is why I am almost tempted to accept your request." Carrie gasped in surprise, however before she could say anything, Arche continued to speak. "Of course, the keyword is 'almost '.

"Remember, I had just recently removed your heart of some of your darkness, but there are still lingerings. You mustn't be afraid of losing, Carrie White. Fear is the path to the darkness. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate.

"Hate leads to suffering. Fear leads to obsession with power, and obsession beckons the darkness." Arche placed her hand on Carrie's shoulder and gravely stares at her. "I need you to promise me that you are ready for this." Carrie's hand tightens with determination.

She had to do this… for Sue.

"I promise I will be," she answered. "I won't become like I was before."

Following the Guards, Arche and Carrie walked into the Castitas District, where a peculiar Newcomer waited at the restaurant. His appearance was that of a heteromorphic crab-like monster, similar to a fiddler crab. A type that has an orange-yellow color with four hands, one of which was a giant crab claw as well as wearing goggles and smithing attire. Carrie widened her eyes for a moment while the creature stood up and walked around to Arche from behind his table.

"I was told correct, it appears." Arche gave a welcoming smile. "You truly are quite an interesting guest for this town.

"Apologies, my name is Arche Træfiliah. Though I wish this was under better circumstances, I would still like to wish you welcome to Moondance Town. Please make yourself at home."

"Hello, it's nice to meet you and thank you for the warm welcome." The Crab Creature said, "I will enjoy my time here for now. My name is Amanomahitotsu."

"Seeing as you are quite calm, I assume that my town's guard have filled you in on your current situation?"

"Yes, it was hard to believe at first but my world was destroyed by the foul darkness as well," he confirmed. "I don't know if some of my friends survived the destruction."

"If they're anything like you, I assure you that they must be fine." Arche said with a reassuring smile.

"Well, I'm not so sure about that."

"Oh?"

"You see, this isn't my true form," he explained. "I recognise this form as my Avatar from a video game from my homeworld. YGGDRASIL." Interested, Arche gestured to the tables. The three of them walked over and sat down where Amanomahitotsu began to explain. "YGGDRASIL was a DMMO-RPG - Dive Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game - developed in Japan.

"Infamous as the game was, its degree of customization made YGGDRASIL so popular that at one point in Japan, the word «DMMO-RPG» was practically synonymous with YGGDRASIL. As a result, the remaining players still playing YGGDRASIL met their final day online. YGGDRASIL is a DMMO-RPG released in 2126 by a Japanese Developer. According to the developers' website, YGGDRASIL was a game of exploration, and so many things were mysteries left unknown for players to discover on their own or in groups. In other words, the special thing about YGGDRASIL was the incredible amount of freedom given to players, compared to any other DMMO-RPGs out there.

"YGGDRASIL requires an exclusive console to play, which records logs for the week. The most distinctive feature of YGGDRASIL was its flexible system to allow players to freely make choices. When it came to Equipment in YGGDRASIL, one could equip magic items in the following slots: head, face, body, three pieces of jewelry apart from one's rings, underclothing, arms, hands, left and right rings, waist, legs and feet. In the beginning, YGGDRASIL characters had no facial expressions.

"Instead, players can use their bodily motions to compensate for the lack of facial expressions in YGGDRASIL. Along the way, a player could make and store a manuscript in book form in YGGDRASIL. On the other hand, YGGDRASIL developers did not provide any information about the game world's map, and they were also inconsiderate enough not to supply any news about the game's dungeons and things such as ore mining, food preparation or the raising of magical beast. YGGDRASIL was a game of exploring the unknown. More importantly, YGGDRASIL was a game where information itself held value with a great example being the World Item.

"During the final years of YGGDRASIL, the chances of reliable information being made public on the web was rather high. Besides World Items and skills, there are also apoithakarah, scarletite or other prismatic ores that were of the highest tiers in YGGDRASIL. Another example is the chat channel, where players can look up recent news, like the shutdown of YGGDRASIL. In addition, players can open a system console and connect to the developers' website to inspect the official guild rankings. In YGGDRASIL, the maximum level a player can reach is 100.

"The game YGGDRASIL has two types of levels, Racial and Class levels. In YGGDRASIL, this wasn't that big of a drawback, since experience points could be regained rather easily unlike in other games. Though the loss of even a single level is considered to be a harsh punishment in a game where each level requires a lot of experience points, losing levels was a very lax prospect in YGGDRASIL. In fact, the company behind YGGDRASIL wanted its players to explore previously undiscovered regions and find new things, rather than hunkering down in the familiar territory just because they were afraid of losing levels. A guild could conquer a dungeon and use the place as their headquarters upon being granted ownership rights.

"However, guilds could only own one dungeon at a time. If a guild wanted to claim another dungeon, they would need to relinquish ownership of their current one. There were just under 800 guilds created within the game, with a guild's ranking system consisting among them all. In addition, discovering a dungeon could affect the world ranking of a guild. YGGDRASIL has a clan system which differs from a guild system, although the latter has both.

"Guilds are also granted NPCs, so they can set them up to protect their base."

"Wow… What an interesting world," sighed a happy Arche. "Seems like a fun place to be. Reminds of my old home a little bit."

"I think my guild would have made an exception for you," said Amanomahitotsu. "We were called Ainz Ooal Gown."

Arche's warm and kind smile died in a second and became a vacant expression of well hidden tranquil rage.

"What. Did you. Say? Did you say Ainz Ooal Gown?" Arche asked, hiding her rage with a perpetually emotionless mask. Something that Carrie notice much to her concern. However, Amanomahitotsu failed to see her blind rage as he happily continued to explain.

"Ainz Ooal Gown, formerly known as Nine's Own Goal, is one of the top Guilds of YGGDRASIL with 41 members in its prime." Amanomahitotsu chirped.

.

.

{🎵 Drops Of Poison 🎵}

.

.

"The guild is infamous for its possession of eleven World Items, the most out of any other guilds in YGGDRASIL, and its creation of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, the most difficult dungeon which no one could conquer. The biggest reason behind their gathering and creation of Ainz Ooal Gown was because of the discrimination that other players had against the Heteromorphic Race. Ainz Ooal Gown played the role of villains. Also, Ainz Ooal Gown is a type of PvP/PKER guild who kept their membership limited to a very few as shown when they only have 41 guild members in the group.

"Very defensive of its members, if anyone were attacked, Ainz Ooal Gown would do their utmost best to gather as many extensive amounts of information as possible on their enemy before then crushing them ruthlessly afterward. Prior to the guild's formation, there were nine heteromorphic players known as the First Nine founded a clan called the Nine's Own Goal. Like Momonga and Bukubukuchagama, it can be presumed that the rest from the First Nine have faced racial discrimination by players due to their grotesque appearance. As they become friends, later on, it came to the point where they decided to form a clan together alongside Touch Me as leader of Nine's Own Goal. After Touch Me had become the clan leader of the Nine's Own Goal, the clan were unwilling to restrict their ambitions and bravely adventured to other worlds.

"Humanoid players mocked members of Nine's Own Goal as fools, while their fellow heteromorphic players hated the clan for doing unnecessary things. Despite the clan's founding, there was once a great disagreement among clansmen of Nine's Own Goal that led to one unknown person quitting the game. On the other hand, the clan, Nine's Own Goal would hold regular meetings on a weekly basis. During one of those Clan's meetings, Touch Me dissolved the Nine's Own Goal and formed their official guild, Ainz Ooal Gown. Touch Me choose Momonga as the guildmaster of Ainz Ooal Gown with the full support of its members.

"Momonga led his guild members to conquer the newly discovered dungeon known as the Great Tomb of Nazarick and making it their guild headquarters. When the guild came into possession of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, they learn that it was an underground guild base built with six floors originally. However, Ainz Ooal Gown then came to the decision that they would make this territory the evilest lair possible by greatly expanding it in size and strength. Ainz Ooal Gown have managed to turn the dungeon's location into a legend and the number one guild to have the most World Items under their possession. Under the guild's reign led by its leader Momonga, the Great Tomb of Nazarick has managed to overcome the largest player-organized military offensive in the server's history.

"Ainz Ooal Gown have once owned a mine that could generate a vein of rare metals. According to Momonga, the enemy used Ouroboros to stop his guild from entering the 'World,' where the mine was situated in. Reasonably so, Momonga believes that the enemy guild probably must have used this big chance to search the vicinity and seize the mine. When the seal was undone, Ainz Ooal Gown went in only to find out that the mine had already been conquered before their arrival. Planning to retrieve their mine from the thieves, some members of Ainz Ooal Gown armed with World Items are able to enter the 'World' and then fought the enemy guild there.

"The enemy guild that had used it gained the support of other guilds while they repelled most of the members of the Ainz Ooal Gown guild and won. Moreover, members of Ainz Ooal Gown who died in the battle have suffered the game's penalty, forcing them to drop plenty of rare items as a consequence. Due to this event, a small amount of rare metals formerly belonging to Ainz Ooal Gown always found its way into the market for players to purchase from. Because of such experience for losing their mine, it can be said that a certain DQN guild like Ainz Ooal Gown did not have enough rare metals as before for crafting all of their Lemegeton Golems. During the final day of YGGDRASIL before its imminent shutdown, there was nobody left in the guild to spend their last hours with Momonga other than Herohero.

"At the same time, the guild members deleted their player avatar, giving away the equipment and items they have left into the hands of Momonga." There was silence for a moment, a silence that finally unnerved the heteromorphic a bit. "A-Ah… Miss Træfiliah? Your… Majesty?"

"You said your leader's name was 'Momonga'." Arche reiterated. "Did this 'Momonga' happen to be an Overlord Lich?"

Amanomahitotsu gasped and cheered, "Yes, that's him! Do you know him? Is he here?" Arche shook her head negatively.

"I'm sorry," she answered, "however, your comrade is in another world, somewhere else in the Lanes Between, deep within the Ocean of Stars."

"I see. Can you perhaps take me to him?" Amanomahitotsu asked.

"I can… but I refuse."

It was then Amanomahitotsu finally notice that Arche's tone had changed from warm, kind, and hospitable to cold, spiteful, and unforgiving. The final he could find the reasoning.

"I-Is there a problem?" He asked, "Do you have something against Momonga?"

"Seeing as you were kind enough to reveal your truth, I shall repay in sound." Arche said. "This is not my first life.

"Fifteen years ago, I was killed by Momonga, or as he now calls himself - Ainz Ooal Gown." Amanomahitotsu gasped with disbelief. Momonga killed this girl? Why? She didn't seem like the other humans, even if was technically inhuman. Arche continued, "I was a fallen noble after the ascension of Emperor Jircniv to the throne, who stripped away my family's nobility. Even so, my parents continued to waste money as if they were still nobles and fell into debt.

"Thus, I hated my parents and wished to run away from home with my younger twin sisters. Somewhere in my past life, I was forced to become a worker, desperately taking up jobs after jobs to repay my family's debt. It was then I joined Foresight led by Hekkeran Termite to take on more co-op missions. I and Roberdyck Goltron returned and met up with Hekkeran Termite and Imina. Hekkeran asked about the moneylender to Arche.

"She confessed that her family was in debt due to the extravagance of her parents' spending habits. Considering Arche's circumstances, though they deny that they are worried about her, Foresight decided to accept the quest from Count Femel to investigate the large tomb. I later returned home and scolded my father for wasting money as if they were still nobles. I then went to see my younger twin sisters and decided to get away from home and take my sisters with my when I finished the quest. I and my companions soon arrived in the four affiliated tombs.

"However, we were then teleported to the 6th Floor's Colosseum and ended up meeting Ainz Ooal Gown and other Floor Guardians. Desperately, Hekkeran tried to deceive him to escape, but Ainz saw through his lies and fought them as a warrior. Later, Ainz decided to reveal his true power. This turn of events caused me to vomit, not only once, but twice, after witnessing the overwhelming presence Ainz actually had. Knowing that they're outmatched against Ainz, my comrades told me to escape as they would stall him for me.

"I tried to run away until finally realizing that I was still underground. Mentally cornered and falling into absolute despair, I was caught by Shalltear Bloodfallen. In my final moments, all I could think of was my twin sisters and whom she dearly loved and fainted from mental shock. Soon afterwards, Shalltear killed my vessel while I was still unconscious. After that, I was reborn with my memories…" she stood her feet, "and my hatred for Ainz Ooal Gown.

"I don't know Momonga - only Ainz Ooal Gown. I didn't care for the munny - it was nothing but a means to an end. All had and ever want were my sister and comrades - my family - and their dead because of your leader. And since he has taken up the name of your guild, you too must answer to the consequences."

"Hey, hey! Please calm down," said the Supreme Being. "Let's try to solve these problems peacefully without anyone getting hurt."

"I can assure you that the pain you will feel shall not be what you are concerned with." Arche then venomously mocked, "I'm not Ainz Ooal Gown. You will be treated the same as every citizen who seeks refuge here. That means you must make your own munny to support yourself. You will be treated no differently as anyone else in this world.

"That said, I will not grant you the kindness of seeing your comrades again." Arche turned her back to him and began to walk away. "You want to see them so badly, find them yourself!"

"Please! Look, I am sorry for what happened, but it's not my fault that Momonga did this to you! It was his move!" Arche stopped when she head Amanomahitotsu speak.

"'I'm afraid that your perspective is flawed,' he said my family." Arche said, chilling tone of voice. "'After all, if you were to find maggots in your food, you wouldn't ask what they'd have to offer. You'd crush them dead on the spot. Although, in that case, the maggots themselves are blameless. You, on the other hand, knew full well what you were doing.

"'You invaded my home to satisfy your petty greed, that makes you lower than a maggot.'" She turned to Amanomahitotsu, her gaze unforgiving. "Be grateful I don't show the same 'mercy' he graced my family." She began to walk away as she hissed, "I owe Ainz Ooal Gown… absolutely nothing." Amanomahitotsu looks offended, but when Arche walked away, he sighed in defeat and fell into his seat with hands to his face.

Carrie watched, looking uncomfortable, before slowly turning to the Heteromorph, saying nothing. She sat on the chair opposite of him.

"What has Momonga been doing?" He asked himself before he noticed Carrie. "Oh! Sorry, I didn't see you there. Can I ask what your name is?"

"It-it's Carrie. Carrie White," she answered nervously. "I… never seen a creature like you before. Are you… a demon?" Amanomahitotsu was a little confused by her question until he noticed the cross hiding in her clothes, chuckling he raised a hand and assured her, "Not to worry, little girl. I am not a devil or demon. No need to be afraid."

Carrie nodded before remaining silent for a moment, then speaking once more.

"I'm actually in the same position as you and I want to help you," she said. "But the best I can do is try and change Arche's mind."

"But I don't believe she is in the right mood for convincing," said a dejected Amanomahitotsu. Carrie sighed in response to this.

"Tommy Ross, Sue Snell's boyfriend, asked me to the prom," she said, beginning her story. "I accepted Tommy's invitation, and after school, bought red velvet fabric and made a dress at home. Mamma to stop me, but I didn't listen. At the prom, I was nervous and shy, but Tommy kindly tried to put me at ease. Then… I was declared prom queen and with Tommy the king.

"But, just as we were crowned, a bucket of blood was dumped onto me and Tommy. S-Someone played that horrid video of me and it appeared on all the large screens above the stage, inciting laughter from some in the audience, until I pushed Miss Desjardin with my powers when Desjardin attempted to help me. Then, the bucket fell onto Tommy's head, killing him."

"That is so cruel," he said to Carrie. "Why would this happen to you?"

"I-I don't know… but I do know this. From what Arche told me, the suffering I endured caused the darkness in my heart to slowly consume my light. If she didn't give me some of hers…" Carrie took a deep breath to quell the panic rising up with in her.

"Old sins cast long shadows, Miss White." Amanomahitotsu said. "You might need to face your past, as will she.

"You need to have guts for that."

"I know," she replied, "that's why she's taking with her. A piece of my past is out there somewhere, lost and alone. I need to save them because they tried to save me and I didn't know it. But… I also want to help you find your friend.

"I don't know why - you just… you just looked so sad alone." Amanomahitotsu was once again stunned by your kindness. He was starting to find it hard to believe that someone would try to hurt someone else so kind. Yet he, and all of Ainz Ooal Gown, knew better.

"There's a phrase for what you are trying to do," he said.

"Sometimes helping others is the best way to help yourself. One act of kindness can help change the world around you." Amanomahitotsu looked up to the stars and said, "A friend of mine and myself tried to live by that philosophy because we were fascinated by the idea of heroes." He looked back at Carrie and said, "Thank you, Carrie… for your kindness. And one more piece of advice.

"It's something I was told by a stranger long ago…"

Carrie stopped at the docks as closed her hand at her chest and repeated what Amanomahitotsu told her: "May my heart… be my guiding key." Carrie looked up at the Hǣlosían Starsailor with a small renewed flame of determination burning within her. The Hǣlosían Starsailor three-masted ship, with the appearance of a hybrid between a galleon and an East Indiaman. She had a golden hull and flew solar sails of blue. Unknown to Carrie, the Starsailor is capable to fly at high velocities.

It also features a cloaking technology rendering it invisible to the naked eye. Moreover, the Starsailor is extremely resistant, with the hull being able to withstand attacks from enemies. The Starsailor is equipped with several weapons, including dual cannons and the ability to unleash a sonic overload powerful enough to destroy nearby aircrafts. Carrie looked at the ship and said, "I promise, Amano. I'll help you see your friend again. I promise

Carrie entered into the ship to find Arche sitting in the Captain's seat. She hand her hands on to orbs Carrie took a seat to the side before Arche spoke up.

"I'm sorry you had to see and listen to that," she said to the Telekinetic.

"I-It's fine," she replied. "I understand that you are mad."

"Do... Do you think I was too hard on him?" Carrie looked at Arche in surprise.

Arche was looking down, her face ashamed as if she did something wrong.

"I think you were." Carrie said. "I-It just seems kind of fair - punishing him for something he didn't do. He didn't know what Ainz was or is doing."

"I'm know..." Arche confessed. "It's just that Ainz took away everything from me back then."

"Still I think you let your rage blind you," said Carrie. Arche took a deep breath and the ship roared to life as Arche thought about Amanomahitotsu's situation. Carrie was right, she was being petty about this.

"I need some more time to think about it," she finally spoke again. "But right now, we have to focus on the mission, which will probably make my eventual decision much harder."

"Wh-Why? Where are we going?"

"Villtra Galdra... The world where my life first ended."

.

"I'm going home."

AN: I'd like to they thank Putain de Plagieur and Neptunia56. Without them, I don't think I could finish the story. When it comes to dialogue, it's like trying to have a conversation with myself. So I'd like to give a shout out and credit to my two favorite cowriters. Thank you very much. See ya later, Storytellers!
