THE MIDDLE
Chapter 3: Reunited

Miranda walked into the Watsco Center, suitcase in tow. She was dressed in one of her finest outfits because she wanted to make a good impression. She wore a taupe snakeskin bodysuit tucked into a black leather miniskirt, and black thigh high booties. A silver choker was around her neck as an accessory. Her long blonde hair was curled and her makeup was done neutrally.

Even though she had in mind she was going to wear her purple bikini, she felt like she made a mistake showing off her bikini on social media before the show started, so she went online and purchased a new bikini that she fell in love with. It was perfect for tonight's event.

Cody texted her to be at the arena by 5pm so she had time to get acclimated for the show. Cody was nice enough to let her have her own dressing room to get ready in.

"You're dressed to impress." Miranda heard someone speak out to her. She turned her head and saw Chris Jericho arriving at the arena. He wasn't too far behind her.

"I'm trying to make a good impression."

Le Champion was now walking alongside Miranda down the hallway. "Well, you've already made one on me."

Miranda rolled her eyes, but she was smirking to herself. That was smooth.

"I already left you speechless? Damn I'm good."

"You wasted no time," Miranda retorted. "I've only seen you for maybe five minutes and you're putting the moves on me."

"Whenever I see a gorgeous girl such as yourself, there is no point in wasting time."

"What would your wife think about all this?" Miranda remembered hearing about Chris being married, so she felt bad about flirting back with a married man on Instagram last week. She felt like she overstepped her boundaries.

"I don't know because I don't have one."

Miranda stopped in the middle of the hallway. "Wait... I thought you were married?"

"I was."

"I'm sorry," Miranda frowned. "I spent all last week thinking about how it wasn't right of me to send you flirty responses on Instagram because I thought you were married. But, now that I know you aren't… I don't need to feel bad about anything."

"If I was still married - I wouldn't have commented what I did on your post."

"I apologize. I was assuming…"

"You didn't make a complete ass out of you and me." Miranda laughed at his joke. Chris smirked in satisfaction at making the beautiful blonde in his presence laugh.

"I should probably get ready for the show. I'll see you around." She proceeded to walk down the hallway.

"Hold on for a minute," the Painmaker caught Miranda just in time before she took off. "I have this cruise that I do every year and I was wondering if you would want to come aboard? The cruise could use another gorgeous model such as yourself."

Miranda smiled. "Nice flattery." Le Champion smirked knowingly. "It sounds fun. I'm in."

"Great! I'll find you at some point during the show and I'll give you the details."

"Okay," Miranda nodded. She walked down the hallway to her dressing room, smiling to herself the whole way there.

Madison showed up to the arena wearing a navy blue sleeveless top with pink floral print, blue skinny jeans rolled up at the end, and tan sandals. Hair was down in bouncy blonde curls, her eye makeup was done with neutral colors, and she wore pink lipstick.

She texted Adam letting him know she made it to the arena. She went to the window and told the worker her name and that she was a guest of Hangman Adam Page. With her identification confirming who she was - she got her ticket and a backstage pass.

I'm on the way to meet you outside. He replied. A few minutes later, Adam greeted Madison. He looked just as handsome as the last time she saw him. "Glad you made it safely." He opened the door, letting Madison walk in first.

"Thank you. I had a little bit of a tough time finding the building. I'm glad I left when I did."

"You still made great timing. There's two and half hours before the show starts."

"Why did you want me here so early? The show starts at 8pm."

"I wanted to show you around backstage."

"Fair enough," Madison nodded.

"Maybe I wanted to hang out with you before the show started…" Adam smiled.

Madison felt her cheeks go hot. "I can't argue with that reasoning."

"By the way-" Hangman motioned to Madison's outfit. "-you look really pretty tonight. This a different style than what you wore at the bar."

"Thank you," Madison blushed. "I have a variety of styles. I just put pieces of clothes together and call it a day."

"It gets the job done."

"It does," She nodded. "So what all do you have to do to get ready for a show?"

"We go over segments, change into our ring gear, take our cues as the show progresses, etc etc."

"It keeps you busy I'm sure."

"It does. It's tougher being an EVP though."

"All your friends are EVPs, right?" Madison recalled what Adam told her at the bar.

"That's correct."

"Are they going to be on the show?"

"They are," Adam confirmed. "I'm actually teaming up with Kenny. Nick and Matt will be in the match too. There's two other tag teams involved."

"Kenny's the friend who's more level headed than the rest?

"Yes."

"It'll be fun watching the two of you tag team together."

"I know you're busy with PA school and all that, but there's this Cruise that we're going on and we're taping a show on the boat. Would you be interested in being my guest?"

Madison smiled. "My classes are online, so I would love to. Thanks for the invitation." The two walked together, Madison enjoying Adam being her tour guide.

Maddie had her badge on indicating she was a reporter. She was able to get inside the building. She wanted to look her most professional. She wore a black t-shirt with a gray blazer, black skinny jeans, and black and white vans. Her long blonde hair was in curls and her makeup was done neutrally.

When she walked down the hallway she saw a gentleman with curly blonde hair that gave her the vibes of a cowboy walking alongside a lady that resembled a lot like her twin, Madison.

It can't be Madison. She's too busy in PA school. She claims she doesn't have time for anything.

Maddie found the person she needed to. He was walking down the hallway, a clipboard in his hand. "Excuse me, Kenny?"

Kenny glanced at Maddie, reading her name badge to see who she was. "Oh, hello, Maddie." He extended his hand out to her and she shook it.

"Nice to meet you," Maddie responded. "You seem busy. I can always catch you at a less busier time."

"No, no, you're not bothering me. I was going to meet up with some of the women who are competing tonight." He motioned for Maddie to come with him. "Come with me. You can ask me questions along the way."

Maddie nodded. She retrieved a notebook from her bag she brought with her. She wrote down a list of questions she wanted to ask. "So, what are your responsibilities as EVP?"

"I am in charge of the women's division. I help produce their segments and matches."

"You do that and wrestle too?"

"That's right."

"You're very busy."

"Yeah, but I enjoy every aspect of it."

Maddie nodded. "I know you used to do intergender wrestling in DDT when you were in Japan. Do you hope to bring intergender wrestling to AEW?"

"Someone has done their research," Kenny smiled. "Yes, I hope that I can bring intergender wrestling to AEW. My intergender tag team partner, Riho, is signed to the company, so I'm hoping I can team with her again."

The two made it to production, where Kenny was going to go over the women's match process with Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, and the Nightmare Collective. "You don't have to stay here for this - you can feel free to roam around and I'll catch up with you later."

Maddie nodded. "Okay. See you later." She walked away. When she was walking down the hallway, she saw a woman in a royal blue sequined bikini that was all dolled up that looked just like her sister, Miranda. The closer Maddie got the realization hit that was indeed her older twin. "Miranda?"

"Maddie?" Miranda responded. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm here interviewing Kenny Omega for my job. What are you doing here?"

"I got an offer from Cody Rhodes to be one of the models here tonight."

Maddie and Miranda saw a woman that looked a lot like Madison heading in their direction. Maddie wasn't hallucinating, it was Madison she saw earlier. And she was with Hangman Adam Page?

"Madison!" Maddie called out. Adam and Madison stopped in their tracks. "What are you doing here? I thought you were too busy to get out of the house?"

"Nice to see you too, Maddie. I was invited to the show tonight." She looked across from Maddie and Miranda. "Miranda, I love your bathing suit. You look stunning."

"Thanks, Madison. It's good to see you again."

"You too. You look absolutely gorgeous." Madison turned her gaze from Miranda to Maddie. "Maddie, I see the badge. It's awesome that your job sent you here."

"Thanks," Maddie smiled briefly.

Chris Jericho went to find Miranda, Kenny Omega came to meet back up with Maddie, and Adam Page was standing by Madison. So when Chris and Kenny appeared they both had curious looks on their faces. "Are you three sisters?" Chris inquired, motioning to the fraternal triplets.

"They're actually triplets," Adam spoke up. "Fraternal triplets." Madison nodded in response.

"Looks like I have some questions for you too, Maddie." Kenny said.
