A/N: *slides in on the floor*

Don't mind me just writing random stuff again.

.

From: Atsuya

Message: bro where are you

Shirou stared at the message, sipping his soda slowly. He glanced at his companion, who was focused entirely on the large screen. Someoka would probably chide him and tell him to put his phone away, but this didn't really require his input anyway, did it?

He grinned around his straw as an idea came to mind.

From: Shirou

Message: stepping one foot further into hell :)

He quickly pocketed his phone when Someoka turned to say something about the scene, a generic enough question that he could just laugh and nod along. He wasn't particularly interested in the movie, but…

His phone buzzed again, and he pulled it out without a second thought.

From: Atsuya

Message: what. what does that even mean

It buzzed again as his brother seemed to connect whatever dots he was tracing.

Atsuya: aren't you out with someoka right now

Shirou: :)

Atsuya: wait

Shirou: :)

Atsuya: ew

Atsuya: bro that's gross don't tell me that

He stifled a laugh as Atsuya continued to make assumptions, gaining Someoka's attention. He frowned.

"Don't text in the theater, it's rude." He said, and Shirou continued to laugh quietly even as he put away his phone, this time on silent. It still lit up with messages from his brother. "What are you even talking about?"

Before Shirou could tell him - or say he'd explain later - Someoka felt his pocket, where Shirou could hear a faint buzz. The taller boy pulled it out halfway and tilted his head to read the message on the screen.

"Why is your brother sending me threats?"

For his part, Shirou was glad the theater was not only mostly empty, but the scene showing was a legitimately funny one, otherwise he would have had to excuse himself for laughing too much.

(Though, in his defense, he still tried to tone it down for the couple sitting two rows in front of them.)

"Don't worry about it." He said, waving it off and slouching in his seat as he gave the movie his somewhat-full attention. He still had no idea what was going on, but the events were interesting enough at this point that he could keep up.

When they stepped out of the theater an hour later, Shirou finally pulled his phone back out, noting that he had over thirty texts from his brother. Without hesitation he expanded the alert and hit the "mark as read" tab, before opening his Line at the next buzz and opening the app.

Atsuya: someoka said you guys only went to see a movie

Atsuya: not cool bro

A tiny smile spread across his lips, and he felt Someoka lean over his shoulder, turning the screen towards him. The taller boy snorted.

"He was saying stuff like 'if my brother can't practice tomorrow I'll kick you in the shin'. I had to say something."

"Not really. I could have said I'm used to it." He laughed at Someoka slammed a hand down on his head, roughly ruffling his hair. He looked annoyed, but there was affection in the gesture. "I'm kidding! And he'd figure it out eventually."

Someoka gave him a long, doubtful stare.

"... maybe."

.

Atsuya: so what movie did you guys see anyway

Shirou: the one Princess has been gushing about all week.

Atsuya: … you did not

Shirou: :)

Atsuya: I take it back, go burn in hell, you traitor

.

A/N: Somehow, I thought this would be longer than it actually ended up but it's all good for now. I'm just trying to… clear out a folder.
