He was dreaming.

It was the only real explanation of what he had just seen.

After all, there was no way he had just seen a dog transform into a weird blue centaur type creature.

And there was no way that he had seen said creature change into a human being. No that would be absurd. Insane even. Stuff like that only happened in books or films or video games. It never happened in real life.

Clearly he was dreaming. With a sigh, he snuggled himself back into his bed and allowed himself to fall asleep once more.
