TheGoodDoggo: I'll watch out for the power scaling next time. I think I'll take time to rewrite the scene so it makes sense with how people remember the manga.

Power scaling:

It has been made clear to me that Gohan would be far stronger even without Ki enhancement. He's a Saiyan half breed and Goku's son, the same Goku who could move at light speeds without much help from Ki.

But if I had to put a power level on Gohan (NO NUMBERS) then lets put him at about;

10X stronger than the Oni race for the sake of putting a limit on him.

15X stronger when he's serious.

20X stronger when he's in a life or death situation.

I do intend to make Gohan stronger as he trains more and perhaps he might accidentally slip into his Super Saiyan form when he needs it the most.

Gohan had finally arrived at the front of the warehouse and was catching his breath. If the scholar wasn't a saiyan halfbreed, he would have been soaked in sweat and would have his stamina drained by now. He still believed he could put up a fight if things went ugly again but he wasn't too sure anymore. With the recent memory of death occurring within the warehouse, he started feeling goosebumps. It was still daytime so the events that previously occurred could possibly be avoided. Gohan could only hope that were the case.

"Here goes nothing," He muttered out loud while stepping onto the front porch. He placed his school books to the side and hesitated for a moment but finally accepted that whatever happens next would be his own self-inflicted problem.

The scholar firmly gripped the doorknob but struggled to open the door.

"Hn?"

Previously, the door was wide open but now he found that it was locked. Someone was already inside perhaps. He tried knocking politely then waited a while and when nobody answered the door he tried knocking again.

Finally, someone could be heard on the other side approaching the doors. Heavy footsteps could be heard inside the warehouse and stopped. Then the voice of a gruff old man could be heard asking, "Password?"

"T-There's a password here?"

"If you don't know it, then you have no business here! Get lost!"

"Wait! I really need to speak with you!"

"..."

The doors slightly creaked open allowing Gohan to see the very same old man now in good health and seemed taller than he remembered. Gohan unknowingly stared for too long because it felt weird to talk to a person who was dead not too long ago.

Becoming annoyed with silence, the old man raised his voice, "Well? Don't just stare like you've seen a ghost! Waddya want?" his voice sent rough vibrations everywhere.

Gohan wiped the sweat off his forehead and stood up straight and formal. "Right! I'm looking for a girl named Felt!"

The man's eyes narrowed suspiciously at the scholar. "Are you a boyfriend of hers?"

He nervously averted his gaze, "W-What? No!"

The doors were quickly slammed shut again, leaving Gohan standing outside for a while.

"Sir? May I come in, sir?"

"..."

He became frustrated because the old man was unwilling to hear him out.

'What now?' he wondered while pacing back and forth on the front porch. 'I guess I'll just wait for the girl to come. They'll have to open the door if I can convince her to let me in.'

With not much else to do, he took a seat on the stairs and waited for the girl to arrive.

5 minutes passed... 15 minutes passed... 45 minutes passed... an hour passed...

'This is taking too long!' Thought the scholar with impatience. He looked up to the bright sky and wondered if he should just leave this all behind and simply try to... wait.

'Why haven't I tried using my phone to call for help?' He wondered in stupid amazement. He quickly reached for his pockets and pulled out his Z Phone and started checking his list of contacts.

Yamcha...

Bulma...

Krillin...

Vegeta...

"Definitely not Vegeta." Gohan mumbled out loud. He instead attempted to call Krillin since he's more likely to insist on helping than the prideful prince.

'No Service...'

He stared at his phone in disbelief, "Huh? Nothing?"

He stepped off the porch and tried refreshing the connection by walking around but not a single bar of connection was granted to him.

"Why? Why is this happening?" He muttered out loud.

Sudden footsteps caught the scholar's attention and he glanced at the new arrival. A familiar blond girl had just arrived. The scholar blankly stared at who he believed to be the little thief staring right back at him. Then she stomped on the dirt and motioned for him to step aside.

"Get out of the way, dumbass! You're blocking my path!"

'That's her! She's the thief I'm looking for!' Thought Gohan with glee.

"Felt? Is that you?" He asked, stepping uncomfortably close to the thief.

Upon hearing her name, she stood defensively and asked, "What's it to you?!"

Gohan raised his hands non threateningly "I don't mean trouble, just give back what you've stolen, please!"

She pulled out a knife in response and held it offensively to deter him from coming any closer, "Don't patronize me, you dipshit!"

"Woah!" Gohan backed away as she suddenly started swinging at him so he started dodging. 'She's pretty fast, but she has room for improvement.' Thought Gohan as the girl missed every single attack in frustration.

"Your form is terrible!" Commented Gohan. "If someone were to grab your arm like THIS!" Felt's arm was easily caught by the scholar.

"Wah!" She was overwhelmed with surprise and tried pulling away from him but his grip was firm. "Let go! You damn creep!" complained the thief in disgust.

Now serious, Gohan replied, "What will you do when you're caught off-guard, Felt?" He unintentionally gave the impression of being a bully to her.

Felt grit her teeth in anger then she pulled out an extra knife from her thigh then tried stabbing at the scholar's eyes only for Gohan to grab her other arm and twist the knives out of both of her hands.

Her face distorted in pain because of the excess force that was used, "Owowowouch!"

Displeased with the pain he inflicted to her, he cut to the chase, "What now, Felt? Will you give back what you've stolen? Or will I have to search you?" He thought this would be enough to strike fear into the thief but her eyes remained with furious determination.

"Fuck off!" Scoffed Felt before she jumped and kicked Gohan's face with both of her legs then back flipped out of his mighty grip.

Gohan stumbled backwards and covered his eyes in pain while trying to wipe the dirt off his face. As soon as he recovered, he almost lost his head after dodging a massive club to the face. To gain some distance he back flipped three times before meeting eyes with a giant old man holding a massive club offensively.

The new offender was the very same old man that refused to talk to him about Felt.

The giant growled before shouting, "Get out of here, if you know what's good for you!" then he stomped on the ground, creating strong vibrations throughout the area.

'That's intimidating...' Thought Gohan, not wanting to be hit by such a strong attack.

The small thief was seen hiding behind the giant while pointing an accusing finger at the scholar. "That punk tried picking a fight with me!"

With the demeanor of a defensive parent, the giant glanced at the girl and asked, "Did he hurt you?"

"Hell yeah, he did! He twisted my wrists and was about to have his way with me!"

Gohan blushed awkwardly, "I-I was not!"

The girl simply looked at Gohan with an evil smirk and comically showed her tongue.

The giant glared at Gohan in disgust and without saying another word he quickly rushed the scholar while bringing down his massive weapon to try to smash Gohan's head into his shoulders.

In the heat of the moment, Gohan thought of two options... "Either I can dodge the incoming attack with my superior speed or I could-" The Scholar didn't finish his thought and simply acted out his next option. He gathered his strength and smashed the massive club in half with a well-placed punch and a strong shout, "KIAH!"

The Giant stumbled backwards as his main weapon was destroyed with relative ease. "H-how?!" Then he observed his broken club in hand with visible awe. The other half of the club landed three yards behind Gohan, creating a dust cloud with the hard landing.

Both Felt and the old man were visibly caught off-guard by the scholar's strength.

Finally, Gohan decided he would wisely back away in a defensive position to appear as non threatening as possible.

"I'm not here to fight! I just need the girl to return what she's stolen!" Protested Gohan with a neutral sounding voice.

The thief didn't care and grit her teeth in anger, "Like hell I'd do that! Not after all the trouble I've went through to steal it in the first place!"

The old man glanced at Felt in worry, "I'd probably give back whatever it was that you stole. This young man is stronger than he looks, and besides, he doesn't seem like he wants to fight us."

"O-Old man Rom! Are you afraid of some punk kid?" Asked Felt, frustrated that her protector was now siding with a stranger.

The old man shook his head, "I'm no coward, but I could have been killed if he decided to hit me with that attack. Let's not forget that I'm just a stumbling old man."

Her shoulders lowered in defeat. "Then what do we do about the customer?" Asked Felt, uncertainty now in her voice.

The giant turned around with curiosity and asked, "What of the customer?"

'The customer?' Thought Gohan in wonder. Disturbing images now replayed in his mind, giving him goosebumps again. He couldn't shake away the feeling he got when he fought the mysterious woman.

But one thing was certain, those events most likely occurred because of some grim circumstances. If Gohan interferes in a negative way, it would be as if he himself had sentenced these two strangers to death.

'I can't allow that to happen!' Thought Gohan with furious determination.

"You know what, I have a better idea." Said Gohan, regaining their attention. "I'll wait for your customer to arrive. And if they can beat me in a fight, I'll leave and never come back. But if I win or the customer refuses to fight me, I will take back what you stole by force."

With curious amazement, Felt asked, "You're gonna fight Elsa?!"

Gohan nodded, "If that's your customer, then yes."

Her amazement quickly changed into a humorous smirk, "There's no way you'd win in a fight against Elsa. She would enjoy ripping you limb from limb."

Gohan smirked as well, "Then there's nothing for you to worry about. I'll wait for this Elsa person to arrive and I will defeat her."

Felt simply laughed him off. "Hah! You're signing your own death warrant, pal!"

[X]

The Scholar was quietly seated in the far corner of the warehouse while both Felt and the old man were quietly discussing the strange appearance of their new guest.

The old man stood behind the bar counter while serving a glass of milk while Felt was seated on the customer side of the bar. Both were whispering to each other but didn't know they were heard by the halfbreed.

"Are you sure that nobody followed you?" Asked Rom in a whispering tone.

"Of course nobody followed me! I made sure of of it!" Replied Felt while quietly screaming back at the old man.

"Then how does he know about you?" Asked Rom while pointing an accusing finger at the scholar who seemed to be minding his own thoughts while sitting in a chair.

"I have no fucking idea! He's probably a weirdo and a stalker if he already knows so much about me." Replied Felt while sending Gohan an accusing glare.

"I just want to know what he wants with what you stole. What is it that you stole anyways?" Asked Rom in curiosity.

"It's just some dumb badge with jewelry on it. It makes a shiny light when I hold it in my hands but I don't know what's the deal with that piece of junk. It's probably worth a ton of holy coins if this stalker went all this way just to steal it back." Explained Felt with a greedy grin.

Gohan finally turned his attention to them after having finished gathering his thoughts. In response, they averted their gaze from him.

"He's seriously a creep! Why's he here again?" Asked Felt, annoyed with Gohan's presence.

The old man hummed with his hands under his chin. "We agreed to let him stay so he'll fight this Elsa person you were talking about. If she's as bad as you said she'd be, I just hope that she wont hurt this kid too much. He seems to have good manners despite our earlier skirmish."

"I honestly don't care about him. The sooner Elsa kicks his ass, the sooner he can get the hell out of here!" Complained Felt, not caring if the scholar heard her talking behind his back.

-Knock, knock-

Felt's demeanor suddenly became joyful. "That must be her!" Then she sent the scholar an evil look. "You better be ready for what you're getting yourself into."

Gohan nodded with confidence, "Oh I'm more than ready."

Felt brushed aside his confidence, "Hah! Your funeral, loser!"

The girl hopped out of her seat and quickly went for the doors.

Gohan's demeanor suddenly became serious as he watched the girl answer the door to allow a voluptuous woman dressed in black robes into the warehouse. Gohan stood up from his seat and watched as the woman carried herself with confidence. She was very fair in appearance but she sent chills down his spine.

'She's the monster that murdered everyone here including me... and Emi.' Thought Gohan observing the woman from the far corner of the room.

That thought sent a shiver of anger into Gohan's body as his body began to release adrenaline in high amounts. He was ready for a fight and the woman seemed to know it.

She stopped in front of the negotiation table then glanced at the Scholar with innocence, only to lick her lips in anticipation.

'This woman gives me the creeps! She's no doubt beautiful, but... she's an effective killer. I can sense it just by looking at her. I don't know why, I just can.' Thought Gohan as a bead of sweat rolled down his forehead.

Felt finally caught the woman's attention again by constantly asking over and over again, "Did you bring it? Come on, Elsa! Dig you bring it?!"

The woman returned her attention to the nagging child, "Of course I did. And as a precaution, my client had provided me with extra funds." then she revealed a pouch of coins and poured the contents onto the table.

Felt eyed the money with glee. "Twenty holy coins!"

Before she could touch the money, Gohan interrupted the moment. "Don't get too excited, Felt!" Said Gohan, gaining everyone's attention as he raised his voice in assertiveness. "No one is buying anything today. Not while I'm here."

Elsa finally asked while pointing at Gohan, "Who is this young man?"

Felt gave Gohan an annoyed look, "Oh, he's just some broke ass punk who wants to fight you for the badge."

The woman seemed to resist the urge to smile when eyeing the scholar with interest.

"Is this true?" Asked Elsa, sudden tension filling the room.

The scholar nodded, "Yes, Felt is right about one thing. I want to fight you for that badge."

Elsa finally allowed a grin to decorate her lips and she blushed with anticipation. "Do you know what you're getting yourself into, boy?"

"I've have a general idea of what you might do to me if I were to lose. But I'll admit, this wouldn't be the first time someone has failed to kill me."

"Hm..." Elsa eyed the scholar from head to toe and hummed to what she saw. Gohan would have nervously blushed, but he was staring at a professional killer.

Gohan decided to break the awkward silence and comment, "I've already made it clear to them that if you refuse to fight me, I'll just steal the badge anyways."

Elsa tilted her head to the side, "Oh? Why didn't you just steal the badge before I've arrived?"

"That..." Gohan stuttered before he continued, "That's because I've come to my senses and decided it would be fair if the customer arrived first."

Like a predator stalking its prey, Elsa took slow steps toward the scholar while asking, "So you intend to intimidate the customer?"

Trying not to sound nervous, he replied with a determined gaze, "That's one way to put it. But I didn't expect it to be someone as confident as you."

Elsa now stood in front of the scholar, almost one head shorter than him. "I'm surprised as you are. Never did I expect such a cute puppy to be waiting for me. What an honor this is."

The scholar gulped as she ran a finger under his chin. He didn't know why he allowed her to step too close to him despite the fact that he was putting himself in danger.

'Am I seriously afraid of this lady?' Thought Gohan, his willpower alone was the only thing stopping him from noticeably shaking in place. For some reason, he felt like she knew exactly what he was feeling right now.

"Hey!" Shouted the old man. "Take it outside, would ya? I don't want to witness anything inappropriate in here!"

With those words, Elsa slowly backed away and walked to the exit. Gohan sighed in relief and shortly followed after her.

[X]

Outside of the warehouse it was getting dark. The halfbreed stood 5 yards away from his opponent while performing his own stretches to properly warm up. Meanwhile, Elsa could be seen eyeing the scholar with interest. Felt and the old man were simply seated on the front porch and were adviesed not to interfere no matter what.

The blond thief was becoming impatient because it seemed that the scholar was stalling for time.

"Tsk!" The thief stood up and complained, "Hurry up and fight already! Elsa, go kick this weirdos ass!"

Gohan had now finished his stretches, "Alright, I'm done with my warm up. But there's one more thing I need to do."

Elsa's grin grew wider, "And what would that be?"

"Hold on..." Said Gohan as he removed his top consisting of a black over-shirt and white long-sleaved shirt to reveal some impressive abs, pectorals and biceps.

Old man Rom commented while stroking his beard, "No wonder why this boy managed such a strong attack. He's all muscle and no fat!"

Felt averted her gaze, "Pff! Show off!"

Elsa blushed at the sight of Gohan's impressive body, "Oh my! Are you trying to woo me?"

After Gohan tossed aside his upper clothing, he raised an eyebrow at the woman in front of him, "I intend to take this very seriously. Are you ready?"

Elsa nodded in anticipation, "Ready when you are."

"Alright!" Gohan chose piccolo's demon clan stance and was now ready for a fight. "Let's do this!"

Felt could be heard chuckling next to Rom but the old man quickly covered her mouth and told her to be quiet.

After Felt decided to quiet down, a deafening silence occurred as none of the fighters intended to move yet. Elsa simply stood still and watched if the shirtless fighter would do anything first. The woman didn't even take a stance of her own because either she didn't expect much of the scholar or she simply wished to test her opponent.

"What's the matter?" Asked Elsa with disappointment in her voice. "Don't leave a girl waiting after you promised to give her the dance of her life~"

The scholar narrowed his eyes and took slow steps toward his opponent. Even though he fought her before, he had no idea how the fight would turn out in the end. All he could hope to do was overpower her with sheer strength and speed.

For Gohan it felt like it took him an eternity to move closer to Elsa but to everyone else it seemed like the fight was about to get started. As he slowly approached her, Elsa whispered in a mocking voice, "Come hither, child. Don't be shy~"

Gohan ignored her comment and remained focused on the opponent in front of him. It was now getting dark and Gohan didn't want to be at a disadvantage so he rushed toward Elsa only for her to suddenly leap an impressive 50ft backwards.

"Huh?" The scholar raised an eyebrow at her sudden action of retreat.

Her smile never left her face as she gracefully landed on the ground.

"Why did you retreat like that?" Asked Gohan in confusion.

"You took too long to aproach me. Now try again." Replied Elsa in a bored tone.

"Hmph! Fine!" Gohan approached her much faster than before but remained cautious as always.

'Is she trying to make me lower my guard?.' Thought Gohan with a focused expression.

As he came closer to the woman, she suddenly leaped over his head and gracefully landed 15ft behind him. The scholar quickly turned around and had to tilt his head to the side to dodge a large kukri that almost hit his left eye. The blade hit the ground and was buried with excessive force. That attack was meant to kill him on the spot.

"Still too slow." Commented Elsa with amusement. "But at least you can dodge. Perhaps you wont be a waste of my time."

Gohan chuckled before replying, "My instructor taught me what happens when I fail to dodge. It was always the hard way but it paid off in the end."

"Your instructor sounds like a wonderful person." Replied Elsa with an innocent smile.

"He was, but it was hard to notice from the surface." Replied Gohan with a nostalgic smile. "Shall we officially start now?"

Elsa chuckled before she finally went into a stance of her own. "Very well! Let us begin!"

As she said this, she immediately vanished from where she stood, much to Gohan's shock. Then she reappeared as a blur in front of him with a large blade in hand and made a slashing motion toward his stomach only for Gohan to punch her wrist, forcing the weapon out of her hand. Elsa quickly pulled out another blade from within her robes but Gohan was quick to grab her arm with his other hand then forced her to release the blade by twisting the woman's wrist similarly to how he did it to Felt. Then he used as much force as he could to try to throw her off balance only for her to firmly remain standing.

Because of Gohan's momentary confusion, Elsa hit him hard with a front kick to his chest that managed to push him back a great distance but the scholar remained standing and quickly got into guard again.

Elsa seemed to be enjoying herself and eyed Gohan with interest again. "You managed to disarm me. Good job." She commented.

"I wouldn't be too sure." Replied Gohan, not allowing his guard to go down.

"Why do you say that?" Asked Elsa, a guilty smirk decorating her lips.

"I doubt you keep an odd number of blades on you. I think you're hiding an extra as a precaution."

In response, Elsa reached into her silk robes and revealed another blade, "This one?" then she dropped it to the ground and kicked it aside.

Gohan eyed the blade then returned his attention to the woman, "Even so, I still wouldn't be too safe around you. Shall we continue?"

The woman didn't reply and immediately ran towards the shirtless fighter in a slower motion than before but was relatively fast for a normal human. In response, the shirtless fighter engaged her as well.

Punches and kicks were thrown but both sides remained at a stalemate. Gohan seemed to be taking this seriously while Elsa's grin never faltered.

'She's just playing me, isn't she!' Thought Gohan, dodging attacks while throwing his own punches and kicks at his opponent. 'She's simply enjoying herself!'

The two fighters exchanged attacks at impressive speeds.

"Look at them go..." Commented old man Rom, taking a sip from a glass of alcohol. "The young man is pretty good."

Felt crossed her arms with impatience. "Elsa's just going easy on him. Why can't she just defeat that damn weirdo already!?"

Old man Rom hummed in response, "Perhaps she's trying to tire him out. By the looks of it, the boy is managing to hold his own fairly well."

Felt groaned. "Whatever! He's gonna lose anyways!"

Throughout the fight, Gohan remained with a focused gaze while his opponent remained smiling the entire time.

'I have to admit, this is starting to become fun.' Thought Gohan trying his best not to smile. 'But that's not why I'm here! I have to make sure this woman doesn't kill anyone!'

Without skipping a beat or faltering in combat, Elsa asked, "Are you enjoying yourself as much as I am?"

After dodging a kick and then responding with a kick of his own, only for it to be dodged as well, Gohan backed away while replying, "Maybe I am enjoying myself here."

Elsa's stance finally faltered and she stood wide open but it was on purpose. "I'm happy that our feelings are mutual for each other!" Replied Elsa with glee.

Gohan blushed a little bit, "Goodness! Don't make it sound so weird!"

She covered her mouth and giggled innocently before replying, "Our time was brief, but pleasant. Yet all good things must come to an end. Thank you for the dance but it's time that I end this."

Gohan's expression became serious again and both spectators were now on the edge of their seats.

The woman quietly stood there before she disappeared into thin air and quickly reappeared behind the scholar with a large blade in hand, only for him to move aside at the last moment before she could slash his head off. She disappeared again and appeared in front of him and she thrust her blade at his stomach only for it to be parried aside. She was now wide open and this was Gohan's chance to do some damage.

Elsa failed to tilt her head to the side because Gohan's fist was faster and met her left cheek with excessive force. With a loud shout, Gohan sent the woman flying 5 meters across the battlefield. She landed hard under a tree and seemed to be knocked out upon impact with the ground.

Felt's jaw dropped to the ground, "There's no way!"

The old man stood up from the porch and asked nobody, "Did he win?"

Even though the woman seemed to be knocked out, Gohan remained on guard and watched carefully as an awkward silence filled the vicinity...

After a while, the woman finally started moving again. She slowly pushed herself off the ground and then met eyes with Gohan. For some reason, she smiled innocently at the scholar without any hint of frustration toward him.

Then she said the two words Felt didn't want to hear.

"I yield."

"WHAT!?" Shouted Felt in anger. "I put my bets on you! A-and you just decide to give up to some pervert?"

Gohan turned his attention to the raging thief. "Felt, we had an agreement, did we not?"

The girl threw her fists around like a child. "I didn't agree to any of this! You made an agreement with yourself!"

Rom gently pet Felt's hair. "Come on, just give up the badge."

Felt bit Rom's fingers in response but the old man seemed to not care at all.

"May I ask..." Echoed Elsa's voice throughout the vicinity.

Gohan turned to the woman. "Huh? What is it?"

"Why do you want the badge?" Asked Elsa. "Not anyone would go to extreme lengths for a pointless endeavor."

Gohan thought for a moment while rubbing a non existent beard. 'This is the same woman that murdered Felt and her guardian, so I have to be careful with what I say to her.'

After thinking over his response, he replied, "The simple fact that the owner allowed the property to be stolen in the first place shows that she doesn't deserve to guard it with her life. It was a mistake that she had access to it, thus I must return it to the incompetent that had ignorantly granted her access to the badge and finally report my findings... That is the reason for why I need that badge."

"..."

Felt and the old man seemed to believe Gohan's words, but Elsa blankly stared at him for an awkward amount of time.

'Stay calm, Gohan! Relax and don't express doubt!' Thought Gohan, trying his best to avoid being visibly nervous.

Elsa's fierce gaze finally relented and she smiled innocently. "Fair enough." Then she returned her attention to the thief. "You can keep the holy coins because in the end, I don't need the badge to complete the task set by my client."

'Yes!' Thought Gohan in relief. He visibly relaxed then corrected himself when Elsa eyed him again. He awkwardly coughed on response.

Felt's angry demeanor quickly changed to happiness and she bowed to Elsa in gratitude. "Thank you, thank you!" Then she turned around and quickly ran into the warehouse in search of the stolen badge.

Rom chuckled at the thief's attitude. "It's been a while since I've seen a genuine smile on that girl's face. Thank you, Elsa."

Gohan couldn't help but smile as well. 'Thank Dende that nobody died!'

As they waited for the thief to find the stolen property, Elsa decided to strike conversation with Gohan.

"Young man~"

"Y-Yes ma'am?"

"You were holding back against me, weren't you?"

"What do you mean? You can tell?"

She nodded. "Of course. Just when I decided to become serious, you were always aware of my presence on the battlefield. Would you care to explain?"

Gohan was taken aback by her response. "That's because... I'm not sure to be honest. I thought you had to slow down in order to properly hit me."

Elsa's smile vanished, "But I didn't."

Gohan scratched his head in response, "That's strange, I thought your speed came with a set of drawbacks. Whenever I lose sight of you, I can gradually see your movements as you come closer to me. I thought you were doing that on purpose or were slipping by accident."

Elsa seemed intrigued by this information, "I don't suppose you have a divine protection?"

The scholar was now confused, "Divine pro- what's that suppose to be?"

Elsa was about to give explanation but Felt could be seen exiting the warehouse with the badge in hand. Something about the thief had caught Elsa's furious attention and it caused the scholar to worry. The badge seemed to glow in the girl's hand and it caused Elsa's nonchalant demeanor to change into a violent one.

"So, she's one of them..." Muttered Elsa before she phased out of existence, bringing shock and terror into Gohan's mind.

He helplessly tried to stop her as a Super Saiyan, only for a sudden pain to strike him in the chest and knock him onto his knees. The feeling of someone crushing his heart was still persisting to this very moment and it was about to cause the death of a bystander.

Felt was going to die!

"Gah!" He clenched his chest in agony and helplessly cried to the woman, "Don't do it, Elsa!"

It all happened in slow motion from Gohan's point of view. Elsa could be seen bringing down her blade onto a frightened little girl while Old Man Rom was running at them with a broken club in hand. Then suddenly, as if Kami had answered Gohan's prayers, a bolt of ice hit Elsa's wrist, freezing her entire arm in the process.

However, the momentary surprise wasn't enough to catch the woman completely off-guard because she managed to dodge Old Man Rom's blunt attack with a back flip.

"Crazy woman!" Shouted the old man. "Stay away from her, ya hear me!"

Felt eyed Elsa in confusion then anger. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

Elsa didn't respond, she simply glared at the newcomer that had frozen her arm.

Gohan's eyes darted to the person responsible for freezing Elsa's arm and was pleased to find out that it was the half-elf who stood not too far away from him.

The first thing he noticed about her were the floating bolts of ice that surrounded her from left to right. The elven halfbreed seemed seething furious at everyone in the vicinity, especially Gohan with the way she glanced at him. The scholar could only wonder if she heard everything he said about her being an incompetent person.

The saiyan halfbreed struggled to stand up only to collapse on his knees again.

The elven halfbreed was quick to notice his condition and warned him, "Please stay down, you are hurt." then she aimed both hands at Elsa while generating another magical attack.

Elsa scowled at the half-elf, "What a disgusting sight! Now I'll have to cleanse this entire neighborhood!"

When she said this, Old man Rom advised Felt to stay behind him and she reluctantly complied.

Gohan's jaw dropped, "The entire neighborhood?"

Elsa grinned at the shirtless fighter. "That will include you too, unless you can Kill the half-devil."

"What do you mean by that?" Asked Gohan before glancing at the other halfbreed in shock, "Wait, what?! T-that's completely unnecessary!"

Elsa's grin vanished and she was visibly disappointed, "I tried being merciful since I've grown a liking to you as a fighter. But now I'll have to cut open your stomach."

Gohan finally stood up on his two feet and stared down the woman, "Unless you were holding back, I doubt you would win in a second fight against me."

Elsa chuckled in response, "Soon you'll see why you've made the wrong choice. Yes, once I slip my fingers into your bowels." Replied Elsa with a blush before she went for a mad dash towards the elven halfbreed. Despite one arm being frozen, she persisted on fighting.

In response, the half-elf sent a stream of ice bolts flying in rapid succession but Elsa easily strafed left and right before any attack could hit her. Elsa closed the gap between two of them but before she could come any closer to the half-elf, Gohan appeared in front of Elsa and threw a powerful punch at her but she jumped over him with ease, she however didn't take into account that he would grab onto her leg and slam her body onto the hard ground, creating a small dust cloud.

While restraining one of Elsa's legs, Gohan looked at the half-elf and shouted, "Hit her now!"

The half-elf nodded and took aim at the downed opponent, only to suddenly form a shield around herself after Elsa tossed a backup blade at her with lethal force. Then Elsa pushed herself upwards with her arms and used her frozen arm to bash Gohan across the face, causing him to release his grip on her restrained leg.

Now that she was free, Elsa immediately went running in search of her scattered blades only for Gohan to attempt to shoot her with a Ki blast, but unsurprisingly, he ended up hurting himself instead. He clenched his chest harder than before because the pain in his heart had increased and it caused his face to redden in pain. If he continued to foolishly summon his Ki, he might possibly die.

"C-crap! N-not this again!" Muttered Gohan as he looked at the sky and saw that the sun was now setting downwards.

The half-elf's shield dispersed and she glanced left and right in search of Elsa and found her standing under the local tree. Elsa had managed to free her frozen arm by cracking the ice with a small blade.

The half-elf went on guard again, forming more ice bolts around her as she called for help, "Puck, I need you."

A floating feline immediately appeared out of nowhere and wondered, "Where's that stench coming from?" then the feline glanced at the shirtless fighter who seemed to be in pain for an unknown reason. "And why isn't he wearing a shirt?"

Without losing her focus on the enemy, the half-elf asked, "Puck, can you assist me? This woman is a danger to everyone here."

Puck averted his attention from Gohan and spotted Elsa glaring at them with a the gaze of a starving predator.

"Oh, sure! I can take her on."

Elsa noticed the floating cat, "A spirit? I've never cut open the stomach of a spirit before~"

"Keep dreaming because you never will." Replied Puck as he gathered his tiny paws and summoned an impressive amount of magical power.

Either the small feline cared very little about the bystanders or he knew very well that he could be reckless outdoors, so the environment suffered a sudden drop in temperature causing the ground beneath the half-elf to become frozen with frostbite and progressively spread throughout the area. This had caused Gohan to instinctively retreat from their close proximity and he ran to pick up his two shirts and had to quickly put them back on in a comical fashion.

The saiyan halfbreed had to keep his distance from the fight so he doesn't freeze to death because of Puck's disregard for mortals. The floating cat didn't even wait for Gohan to retreat far enough and started blasting Elsa in rapid succession but continued missing because of the woman's impressive dodging skills. The frostbite eventually caught up with Elsa, only for her to jump onto a rooftop. Puck didn't waste time and fired another bolt that progressively became a massive iceberg but the woman jumped onto another rooftop. The unintended target suffered massive damage instead.

Elsa glared at the spirit user in defiance, "Is that all you can do?"

"That's only the tip of the iceberg. No pun intended~" Said Puck nonchalantly, then he summoned a hail storm of ice from the sky and it rained in all directions.

Old Man Rom saw what was happening so he quickly placed a confused Felt on his shoulders and ran towards the safety of the warehouse.

"Find shelter, boy!" Yelled the old man in panic but Gohan was forced tank most of the ice bolts or dodge them at the last moment. Meanwhile Elsa simply knelt down and covered herself with her robes as the massive hailstorm rained onto her body. The ice bolts simply bounced right off the cape and dealt no damage to her whatsoever but the rooftop had progressively suffered heavy damage.

When the hailstorm had finally stopped and the ice had evaporated into condensation and left big holes everywhere, Gohan collapsed onto the ground and tried to catch his breath. The scholar felt like he had taken a hard beating.

Elsa on the other hand, stood up and tossed away the robes because its use had expired. Then she glanced at the downed scholar and smirked, "That was close, but someone else wasn't too fortunate."

Puck seemed to care less, "He'll be fine. I didn't kill him on purpose, did I?"

"Puck!" Cried the half-elf. "You did hit him on purpose, didn't you!"

Puck averted his sights from the downed scholar, "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."

The half-elf disliked Puck's response. "Puck, please focus on the woman and no one else."

Puck pouted, "Okay, fine. I'll do it for you, Lia."

From Gohan's point of view, the fight continued with Puck being reckless with the environment but as the sky became darker, Puck's power would progressively become weaker and weaker until it affected the half-elf's power as well. Meanwhile, Elsa seemed like she could continue fighting for as long as she wanted and didn't slow down whatsoever.

Gohan noticed this and he mentally panicked, 'Emi's going to lose if Puck drains all of their power too soon! I have to do something!'

The Saiyan tried standing up, but Puck sensed Gohan's intentions and decided to fire a bolt of Ice at him. The bolt of ice had made contact with Gohan's lower body and it froze his legs with the ground. He struggled to break free and was now completely defenseless to anyone's sudden attack.

"Puck!" Cried the half-elf, noticing what had happened.

"It's okay! I just don't want the boy to escape before we get to interrogate him."

"NO!" Cried Gohan as he tried summoning his reserve of strength but to no avail. He looked up to Elsa licking her lips when noticing the defenseless position the scholar was in.

"Don't mind if I do~" Commented Elsa before making a mad dash towards him, only for a barrier of ice to surround Gohan's entire body to shield him from all points of attack.

"Tsk!" The woman backed away while dodging another bolt of ice that almost hit her head.

Being trapped with no way out, Gohan was completely blind to whatever happened outside of the ice barrier and he couldn't hear anything but his own thoughts. All he could do was helplessly tap into his reserve of strength but to no avail. The more he struggled the stronger the ice seemed to become and his strength was progressively hindered by the cold. Using his Ki would be a bad idea of course, so his options were severely limited.

He was stuck and could only wait for the victor of the fight to free him from his prison. Minutes felt like hours and the oxygen was running low.

"Am I seriously going to die in here?" He muttered out loud. He cleared his mind and tried to remain calm. He managed to do a pretty good job but gradually lost his focus when he began to hear some cracks in the ice.

"Huh!?"

Gohan's heart rate was now elevated, causing him to almost become dizzy. Someone was trying to free him from his prison and it gave him goosebumps. He waited a while but nothing happened, then a sudden loud bang caused the prison to vibrate and the entirety of the ice had evaporated into condensation, revealing someone he dreaded to see.

The woman responsible for killing everyone in the warehouse stood in front of him with a vicious smile comparable to Vegeta when lusting for blood.

"I hope your bowels are ready~"

"N-no! Where is she!?" Asked Gohan while hardening his fists. "You didn't do it! YOU DIDN'T DO IT!"

Elsa covered her mouth and giggled innocently, "Are you talking about the half-devil or the little brat?"

Gohan's face became pale. He tried approaching Elsa to attack her only to realize that his legs remained frozen with the ground.

"What!?" He punched the ice a few times and wiggled his legs but he was powerless to break free. Then he saw Elsa approaching him.

"Here, let me help you, Archbishop."

"!"

With the swing of her blade, Gohan suffered a powerful slash that cut across his chest down to the ice that bound him to the ground. The ice shattered and he was sent crashing onto someone's corpse.

Despite the massive gaping wound that spread across his body, he was more concerned with the corpse he was touching. He rolled to the side and stared directly at her with wide eyes full of shock.

The elven halfbreed was dead.

Emi suffered a gaping wound to the neck and Gohan was lying in a pool of her blood just as his own blood was mixing with hers.

"How!?" Gohan wondered while eyeing his own bloodied hands. "She was so powerful!"

"WAS powerful." Replied Elsa while stepping closer to the dying scholar. "That was until her spirit decided to take a nap. It was a tragedy that I couldn't slice its stomach but at least the girl took its place."

"Y-you... I don't... I don't know... what to do... with you." Replied Gohan, not knowing what he was going to say because he was too tired to comprehend what was going on at the moment. His eyes were slowly opening and closing and his breaths were slow.

"Hm~ What's that suppose to mean?" Asked Elsa. "Are you becoming tired? Are you becoming sleepy? Are you in pain? Can you hear the sound of my voice? Can you already see the light?"

Elsa continued asking weird questions but it was incomprehensible to the scholar because he was dead.

"Get the hell away from my business!"

The scholar blankly stared at the apple merchant in surprise before he bowed in apology. "Sorry sir, for wasting your time."

The apple merchant's anger had diminished but he waved him off, "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Move along! Shoo, shoo!"

Gohan didn't need to be told twice so he stepped away and made sure avoid bumping into strangers because he refused to drop his books again. But as if forgetting what happened before, a yellow blur rushed past him and left him with empty pockets. Although, he didn't seem to care because his mind was plagued with serious thoughts regarding the recent events.

'Perhaps I don't have the ability to predict the future. It turns out I just have the ability to return after dying. Although, return by death sounds much cooler. But the real question is, why did Elsa suddenly attack Felt for no reason?' He wondered while purposely stepping away from the alleyways so he can avoid the hoodlums waiting for him...

Then he stopped and looked back to the alleyway. He knew that if he did nothing to stop the three troublemakers, they might find another victim to harass.

'On second thought...'

Gohan purposely returned to the alleyway so that he could meet with the three trouble makers and sure enough, they were waiting for him there. As he entered the alleyway, three individuals followed closely behind him but before anything else could happen, Gohan decided he would immediately attack them even though no evil deeds were committed yet.

He dropped his books to the side then rushed toward the taller man and dug his fist into his stomach then he kick him aside before tackling the skinny punk onto the ground, then finally he kicked the dwarf and sent him flying like a football.

All three of them were too shocked to realize what had happened.

Gohan quickly backed away to observe the results and couldn't help but grin at their misfortune just for a little bit. The three thugs rolled on the ground in pain and confusion.

"We didn't even do anything yet!" Complained the dwarf while rubbing his face.

Gohan hardened his gaze at them before shouting, "Don't pick on people ever again! Ya hear me!? Stay out of trouble or I'll make sure to hunt you to the end of the world!"

The taller thug growled in anger as he got back onto his feet, "You're gonna pay for-"

Gohan didn't allow him to finish and kicked him across the face and sent him crashing onto the pavement.

"Shut up! You're gonna eventually meet someone worse than me if you continue this fowl behavior. Now get out of here!"

"What the hell are you talking about, you jack ass?! You attacked us for no reason!" Complained the skinny punk as he finally stood on his two feet.

"Yeah! We didn't even do anything to you, yet." Shouted the dwarf after the taller man got on his feet again.

Gohan stomped on the ground and destroyed a wooden crate with a punch, startling them in the process.

"YET?!" Gohan growled back. "You think I'm gonna just wait for you to attack me first? That's not gonna happen!"

"What's causing the commotion here?" Asked a familiar voice that Gohan seemed to recognize.

Sudden footsteps echoed across the alleyway as someone had entered the scene to reveal a red-haired young man in a white uniform and he carried a neatly adorned blade to the side.

All eyes focused on the newcomer and the thugs seemed to recognize him and were paralyzed in fear for some reason.

'Hold on, did I see him before?' Gohan wondered as he stared at the red-haired man.

"Flaming red hair!?"

"He carries the legendary dragon blade of Reid!"

"He's said to be the current sword saint!"

'R-Reinhard!? Why's he here?!"

The man who was called Reinhard stopped in place, "Oh? I suppose I need not introduce myself. I may be on my day off, but if each of you persists on disturbing the peace, I'll be forced to fight each of you as a knight in full-time."

This was enough to frighten the three thugs so they cowered in fear, "Forget this, I'm out of here!"

Everyone except for one person had vacated the vicinity, leaving only Reinhard and Gohan to blankly stare at each other.

Reinhard noticed Gohan was the only one brave enough to stay behind.

"Well? Do you chose to fight?" Asked Reinhard but Gohan shook his head in response.

"Another fight is completely unnecessary. I promise that I wont disturb the peace anymore."

Reinhard observed Gohan's expression very closely and seemed to believe him.

"Very well, have a nice day." Reinhard intended to walk away but was stopped before he could one step.

"Wait, I would like to report a crime."

Reinhard observed Gohan with the most seriousness.

"And that would be?"

"A young girl had stolen my belongings. I don't know how, but she can move incredibly fast. I believe she carried some sort of badge that somehow glowed when she held it in her hand. I know she stole it from a young silver-haired girl."

This information had caught Reinhard's undivided attention and he quickly approached the scholar.

"Can you describe her appearance?"

Gohan nodded and replied, "She's short, blond, poorly dressed, and seems to be younger than me. I think she may be fourteen to fifteen years old."

Reinhard took mental notes before asking again, "Do you know where she's headed?"

Gohan noticed that the half-elf had finally entered the alleyway so he pointed an accusing finger at her.

"Same place she's headed."

Emi stopped in place and dumbly pointed at herself.

"Huh? Me? I don't believe we have met before."
