Girls Night Out

By Major Mike Powell III and YuriChan220

Team Avalanche's work wasn't finished yet. Sephiroth was still on the loose. His trail of destruction had, for now, run cold, so it was time to regroup at the Seventh Heaven bar.

Tifa crossed her arms over her incredibly sizable bosom, a soft sigh escaping her. She stood leaning against the side of the bar counter and she eyed Cloud intently as the wielder of the Buster Sword moved his hand to down another drink almost completely, three fourths of the amber liquid gone down the hatch.

From her seat two chairs away from Cloud, Aerith's emerald eyes gazed at him, then back to Tifa, who gave a slight shrug when she felt the flower girl's eyes on her. Aerith gave a slight smile that soured as she saw Tifa walk back behind the counter to refill Cloud's glass after he finished it.

"...alright! Enough of this. Team, new mission!" The hulking dark man with the machinegun right arm slammed said weaponized limb on the table he was sitting at a few feet away from the bar counter.

The two women and one man all gave a slight jump and turned to look at Barret as he stormed up to the blonde swordsman and quite literally picked him up by the back of his shirt to pull out of his seat.

"W-What the-!" Cloud uttered and he was silenced by Barret's stern expression as the big man kept holding Cloud off of his feet.

The swordsman kind of made Tifa and Aerith think of a cat held up by the scruff of its neck with how he looked now.

The girls couldn't help but share a giggle.

"Enough of this sittin' around and just waitin' and doin' nothin' crap! We're taking the night off, everyone. Tifa, Aerith!" Barret turned to the aforementioned ladies, who stood eager and at attention.

"You two go out and have fun. I'll keep Cloud here away from the bottom of a glass."

"...What?" Cloud tried to protest, but was immediately countered by Tifa, who nodded eagerly and raised an index finger.

"That's right, Cloud. Your tab...it's kind of getting a little too high without you paying it. Sorry! I need to make a profit~" She gave a cheeky wink and Aerith tried and failed to hide a giggle but failed, unintentionally as it were.

As Barret took Cloud away with determined steps and his regular arm draped over his shorter frame, Tifa and Aerith were all to themselves.

Tifa failed to see a wink that Barret shared with Aerith as the big man led Cloud away.

The flower woman then turned her gaze back to Tifa, looking up and down at her appearance...Her sexy body, impossible to ignore, especially when wearing an outfit like that: White tank top, black short skirt, black elbow gloves and red gauntlets, black thigh high stockings and red shoes.

Aerith had long since admired Tifa, although she kept her feelings to herself since she knew the brawler had feelings for her childhood friend, Cloud himself. But...was he even noticing her feelings?

Scooting closer, the brunette gently put a hand on her shoulder. "Tifa...do you have an idea on what to do on our day off?"

Tifa snapped out of her thoughts and looked toward the flower salesman. "Oh, um...not at the moment. How about you?"

"I do know one place we could go to," Aerith said. "But first, we need to be fancy. Dress code requires it~"

"Huh. I see," For as long she could remember, it was a while since she dressed fancy. It wasn't her thing while growing up, but a change of pace won't hurt. "Alright. Do you know a place where we could go to to get dresses?"

"I already have the dresses we need~" Aerith replied.

Tifa was surprised by this. "I see. I guess we don't need to go to the store, then."

"Sales pay off, it's been a good flowers season, you know~?"

The brawler just nodded. It would be good to let off some steam after some tough battles, especially when it was against Sephiroth himself. Her defeat at his hands...it still haunted her, it was still humiliating, at least to Tifa. Sure, Aerith saved her from being annihilated by him when Cloud interfered and chased him off, chasing after him for revenge for what the bastard did to their hometown.

Still, Tifa wanted to keep her mind off of that humiliating defeat. Aerith was there with her and that's all she needed.

"What are we waiting for? Let's head to my place and try the dresses on. I'm sure I got the right size for you," Aerith said, gently taking the dark haired girl's hand.

"Let's hope so…" Tifa replied softly. Given her...supremely-above-average proportions...a dress that would fit her no would had to be hard to find.

Later

At Aerith's place, Tifa tried on the dress the brunette picked out...and she was slightly dismayed to see that she was right in her earlier assumption.

A short, black dress that was a bit small on her, a little tight on the chest. It barely went down to her knees, showing off her bare legs, on her feet were glossy black high heels, and there were black thin straps on her shoulders. As for Aerith, she was wearing a red strapless dress that went down to her knees with red high heels strapped to her feet, and as for accessories, on her wrist was a golden bracelet and around her neck was a golden necklace.

"People are going to stare..." Tifa tried to cover herself with her hand on her knee and another on her large bosom.

"I-It was the best I could find, I swear!" Aerith quickly jumped to her own defense, feeling a tinge of accusation in Tifa's voice.

She was mistaken, though, thankfully. Tifa immediately gulped and waved her hands back and forth.

"N-No, no, it's Ok, Aerith! Please, don't feel bad! I, I kind of already assumed this. My...sizes...are hard to come by in a regular store...hehe...but if I'm with you, I'll be comfortable~" Tifa quickly reassued her dear friend.

The longer-haired woman stepped up and took Aerith's both hands in her own, gently rubbing her calloused thumb over her smooth, flawless knuckles.

"I'm...comfortable around you. I'm sure you had my best look in mind when you got this dress for me, and hey, you look lovely too~!" Tifa said gently, a soft smile on her slightly-blushing gave a soft sigh of relief and blushed deeply, yet smiling through the bashfulness.

She nodded.

"Thank you, Tifa~ Ah, ah! Also, before we leave, hang on, come with me. I have to doll us up a bit, please?" Aerith asked while leading Tifa to her bathroom at the same time, the ponytailed girl giving no resistance yet sputtering a bit at the notion.

A few minutes later and some touch-ups here and there, Aerith and a hotly-blushing Tifa stepped out of the flowers salesman's home and onto the cobblestone streets of Midgar with both ladies donning a dash of rich-maroon eye-shadow and ruby-red painted lips.

They looked absolutely gorgeous and Tifa couldn't explain her racing heart as Aerith took her hand and began to lead the way to a slightly-higher district of the city. Her hand was smooth, silky, warm and soft in her brawler's grasp.

Soon, the ladies found themselves engaged in a bit of a window-shopping spree once they stepped high-heeled foot into an open-air shopping gallery, the night being lit up by golds, greens and blues of bright neon and street lamps lighting the sidewalks.

Everything was beautiful and Aerith couldn't help but look at the beautiful items on display and sale, especially...a twinkling pair of moon earrings that were sitting proudly in a display window.

She glanced over at Tifa, who was busy looking at some other item and then, back at the earrings. She decided to head in and buy the earrings as a secret present until the time was right.

As soon as the window shopping spree was over, the two continued to head down toward their destination, which took about 15 minutes or so. When they reached the restaurant, they saw many other folks enter the building, dressed beautifully, gay and hetero couples alike. Aerith told the waiter a table for two and as he led them to their table...when something caught Tifa's eye.

She saw a young woman in a pink long dress with pink elbow gloves and a younger girl with a long light-blue dress. But something about this young woman seemed to resemble...somebody. Somebody too familiar...but it wasn't that somebody. It was clearly someone else.

"Claire, Claire! Let's share some dessert together! Pretty pleeaase~?" the younger girl begged.

"Slow down, okay, Serah?" the older woman said. "I'm going to order it in a bit."

Tifa just found herself staring at the woman. Sure this wasn't the one she longed for...desired for, to be exact, but she couldn't help but look at the uncanny resemblance. However, a hand gently, but firmly grabbed her shoulder to make her turn around.

"Is there someone that has your attention~?" she said.

"I, ummm..." Tifa slightly looked away, sweat dropping. She couldn't talk her way out of this, so she nodded truthfully.

"I see. Listen, this isn't the time to be focusing on that. You're here to have a girl's night out and that's what we're here for. Okay?"

Tifa nodded again. This wasn't about Cloud. It's about them spending time together. Following the flower salesman, the two found the table to sit and they were handed their menus.

At first, the brawler of the two ladies felt a bit overwhelmed. Aerith's closeness as she led the way to their table, the gentle, sweet woman's hand cradling Tifa's...she felt so comfortable.

She was so comfortable with her, and this in turn overwhelmed her.

Eventually, their hands had to part when they sat down at their table, across from each other, and there was just a single tall candle in the middle of the table, and Tifa learned quickly that this particular kind of candle was in fact fused with a kind of fire materia that dimmed the light around its flame, thus making it seem as if though Tifa and Aerith were slightly surrounded by a dark veil.

"...Huuuh..." Tifa blinked when she realized this, and she looked intently at Aerith...and caught the flower girl staring right back at her, clearly relishing in this quasi-privacy.

Aerith let off a giggle that snapped Tifa to attention, realizing that while she was gazing so much at her, Aerith had already placed her order and asked the same for her beautiful, beautiful companion.

"...how do you do this, Aerith...?" Tifa wasn't sure whether she was asking herself or Aerith, maybe, perhaps both.

"I just want this to be all about ourselves, Tifa. I just want your gaze upon me...and only me tonight," Aerith cooed like a dove and Tifa's heart skipped a beat.

Their food came and with it, a drink that Tifa figured she couldn't afford to distribute at her own establishment. She and Aerith smiled and clinked their tall glasses together.

"To us girls~?" Aerith proposed with a giggle.

"Yes, to us girls, just~us girls," Tifa agreed and they drank from their glasses slowly, indulging in the fine drink.

A comfortable silence befell Tifa and Aerith as they enjoyed their meal and drinks, and the black-haired one of the two could tell that the way Aerith was enjoying her drink...it reminded her of many a patron she had seen before in the Seventh Heaven.

'She's drinking...like...she's building...courage?' Tifa mused to herself.

After downing her drink, Aerith looked over at the brawler with loving eyes. They were eyes that made Tifa's heart skip a beat.

"Tifa," she said softly. "You know...being with you has made my life wonderful. More wonderful than I could ever hope it to be."

"Aerith..."

"Hehe!" The flower salesman gently took her dear friend's hands in hers. "You Tifa...are the most wonderful woman. I cannot help but look at you time and time again...I look at you more than Cloud ever has and ever would."

Tifa blushed at her words. She gave off an oh so soft gasp. This wasn't like her to say things like that...right? Why does it sound so truthful to her?

"Tifa...would you accept me?" The brunette begged. "I know this is asking a bit much, too much perhaps, but listen...I don't know about you...but Cloud hasn't looked at you...the same way as I have, the same way that I am looking at you right now, has he?"

Tifa thought for a moment. Not once she had noticed him looking at her, let alone notice her feelings toward him. It was difficult to put into words, but the fact that she was reminded of that makes her a bit sad.

"He...hasn't...not even once...I've never felt his eyes on me like yours are now." Tifa closed her eyes, a melancholic expression plastered on her face.

"I feel sorry for you..." Aerith said. "Then, is it alright for me to love you? Will you accept my feelings? Will you give me, us, a chance?"

Tifa opened her mouth, her plush, ruby-red lips parted slightly, trying to say something, then she thought about it, then again.

She looked away from Aerith's intense gaze. Her heart raced and Tifa prayed that Aerith didn't actually hear its frantic pace from her...sudden closeness?

"A-Aerith?" Tifa gasped softly and she realized, out the corner of her eye, a silvery twinkle. Her eyes widened when she reached a hand up to gingerly touch her right ear and she felt it, dangling from her earlobe.

"H-Huh...?" Aerith gave a sweet giggle from her seat beside Tifa.

"A gift." She cooed, straight to the point. Tifa blinked twice and then, looked down at her hands softly playing with the hem of her beautiful ebony dress.

The ladies got closer. Aerith leaned in. Tifa partially felt like shying away, to pull away, to not take this chance...yet the desire to be loved, to be wanted, to be the center of someone's world overcame that small bout of fear.

Tifa gave a shaky sigh as Aerith tenderly cradled her chin in her thumb, index and middle fingers, the pad of her thumb tracing the softness of Tifa's bottom lip.

"Aerith..." Tifa breathed. '...Oh no...I'm drowning in her gaze...' Her heart raced, she could hear its frantic beat in her ears...she felt a pleasant shudder go through her as her huge bosom became pressed against Aerith's humble chest, skin and cloth alike meeting as Aerith leaned in the rest of the way.

It was like they were in their own little world and Tifa was so very happy about it. It kind of scared her how happy this made her.

"Ok." Tifa breathed and Aerith gently, oh so gently, yet surprisingly firmly placed her smiling lips on Tifa's.

It was soft. It was so very soft. A dash of moist. Warmth and an oh so very soft moan from Tifa.

It felt like a dream, one that Tifa suddenly became afraid would end if she pulled away, thus she pressed further, her own lips forming a smile as she reached out with her hands to embrace Aerith, completely forgetting of where they where or even what the notion of time was.

"Mmmchu...haah...haah...oh Gaia...I...I've wanted this...needed it for so long..." Tifa was the one to utter that and Aerith smiled sweetly, the sweetest, most beautiful smile Tifa had ever had the joy of looking at and better yet, be the one the smile was aimed at.

"Let's go home. Care for a sleepover, Tifa~?"

She nodded.

"A girls night out wouldn't be the same without it~" They shared a giggle, another, sweet, lingering kiss and then, Tifa insisted she pitch in to pay for their meal.

Once the transaction was taken care of, it was time to leave, with Tifa and Aerith agreeing to take the scenic route back to the Seventh Heaven and Tifa's apartment above it.

Night had settled in fully as they made it to the apartment. However, Aerith made Tifa give a confused head tilt when she insisted on keeping their dresses on and, as well as to have the two of them watch the stars before bed.

Tifa accepted with a smile and a bit of a blush, and they made their way toward the balcony of her bedroom to look up at the beautiful night sky. The stars twinkled everywhere, the moon in all its full glory. They smiled.

The two women then turned to each other. The light of the moon shined brightly upon them, making their beautiful features stand out. They couldn't help but gaze at each other with beautiful smiles on their faces and then, they stepped closer to embrace one another.

No words could be said at this moment. Their loving gazes and each other's softness and warmth were all they needed.

Their arms ended up wrapped around each other's necks and shoulders, and then, they leaned in to share a heartwarming, passionate kiss under the moonlight.

Although she knew that things wouldn't end here, that the future of their quest, the future of the world itself would be on the balance again sooner or later...Tifa's life has become more wonderful now that she has found a new lover.

Aerith was so dear to her that she wanted to accept her. She won't have to worry about Cloud anymore.
