Chapter 8: Disappear

Bakugo stomped on to the U.A. campus angrily. Kagome didn't respond to his messages last night and he was royally pissed. He made his way to the classroom with students avoiding him at all costs. Bakugo was radiating rage from every part of him. When he made it to the classroom he scanned the room for Kagome only to find she wasn't there. He took a seat at his desk and stared at the door waiting for her arrival.

I was 7:50...

Then 7:55...

Then the bell rang...

There was no sign of Kagome.

'Shit where is she?' Bakugo asked himself.

His demeanor went from angry to serious in a matter of seconds surprising all of class 1-A. Bakugo prayed that she was just running late and would soon walk into that room, but she didn't.

It was lunchtime and there was still no sight of Kagome. He texted her several times only to receive no answer.

"Bakugo what's up? You've been staring at your phone all day!" Kirishima asked.

"None of your business shitty hair." Bakugo replied angrily.

"Are you worried about Kagome? I'm sure she's alright, probably sick or something." Kaminari said.

"Yeah I'm sure she's fine!" Kirishima added.

Bakugo ignored them and continued to to look at his phone, praying for a reply.

'Answer me dammit.'

Bakugo was right to be worried. Kagome's conversation with Sesshomaru went anything but well.

"Kagome you will not delay this any longer. I have worked to hard for this." Sesshomaru said angrily.

"I'm sorry Sesshomaru, I just can't do it." Kagome cried.

"You can and you will." he said pushing her to the ground.

Kagome cried out in pain. "Please stop this Sesshomaru. Just let me see my family."

He grabbed her chin in his hands making her look at him. "I will once you finish the job."

"Let go of me!" she yelled trying to move away from him.

"Your trying my patience." he yelled slapping her across the face.

She held her face in pain. "I hate you." she whispered.

"I honestly could care less if you hate me." he said slapping her agin. "Maybe a week in solitary will change your mind."

Sesshomaru walked to her desk and quickly grabbed her phone. "You won't be needing this."

He made his way to the door and began to open it. "Hopefully this will change your mind."

With that he left the room and the sound of the lock clicking echoed throughout the room.

"Bakugo I'm sorry. I couldn't change his mind." Kagome cried out to herself.

A week had passed by and all the students of Class 1-A were worried. Not one of them heard from Kagome. Calls went straight to voicemail and messages were not delivered. It wasn't normal for a person to shut there phone off for a week, especially if that person was a young high school girl.

Aizawa himself was worried about Kagome. He had reached out to Taisho Agency about her absences and they simply told him that she was sick. He could fully understand his students concerns, but there was nothing he could do.

It was almost time for the first bell to ring when a figure entered the room. All of the students eyes were on them and several gasps were heard throughout the room.

Kagome was finally back, but looked worse for wear. A pair of sunglasses were covering her face and a turtle neck and leggings were worn under her uniform despite the warm weather.

She looked down as she made her way to her desk and quickly sat in her seat.

No one said a word, not even knowing what to say. Even Aizawa was flustered by Kagome's appearance. The only sound to break the silence in the room was the bell finally ringing.

Aizawa began taking attendance, trying to keep things as normal as possible for the students sake.

"Higurashi Kagome?" Aizawa asked.

"Here." Kagome said in a quiet voice.

'I don't want to do this, but it is school policy.' Aizawa thought to himself. "Higurashi, you know sunglasses are a dress code violation. Please remove them."

"Ah-yes sir." She said shakily feeling all eyes on her.

Kagome reached for her glasses hesitantly and slowly took them off. She looked down at her desk to avoid the horrified looks shot her way. There was no way she could hide it now, they all saw her swollen black eye.

"Higurashi, please go see Recovery Girl immediately." Aizawa yelled.

"I-I'm fine." Kagome said covering her eye.

"You are clearly not Kagome! Please let me escort you to Recovery Girl!" Iida said standing up from his desk.

Soon several of her classmates joined iida in offering to take Kagome to the nurse. All she wanted to do was disappear right now.

"Please stop!" She yelled surprising her classmates. "I'm really fine, let's just continue with class."

"Alright I'll leave this alone for now, but please see me after class Higurashi." Aizawa said with worry.

"Yes sir." Kagome said wiping away tears from her eyes.

'I just want to disappear.' She rested her head on her desk and tried to block out the looks of concern from around the room.

When the class ended Aizawa rushed Kagome to the teachers lounge and sat her on a couch. He was joined by the principle and Midnight and quickly briefed them about the situation. They were both horrified by Kagomes condition. They had seen a lot of injuries during their time at U.A. but blatant child abuse was very new for them.

"Higurashi could you please tell me how you got these injuries." Midnight asked with worry in her voice.

"I can't tell you." Kagome said quietly.

Midnight tried another question. "Could we at least have Recovery Girl check your injuries?"

"I'm fine. They don't hurt."

"That's not very believable Higurashi." Aizawa countered. "Your eye is swollen shut."

Kagome didn't answer and chose to look away from the teachers.

"Miss Higurashi I know subjects like this can be hard to talk about, but we are here to help you." Principle Nezu said taking her hands in his. "Will you please tell us what happened?"

"I want to, but I can't."

"Did you're family do this to you?" Aizawa asked.

"No, I haven't seen my family in months." She said sadly.

"You haven't seen your family in months?" Aizawa questioned.

"Yeah, I've been living at Taisho Agency."

"Did someone from the agency do this to you?" Midnight asked trying to get more information from her.

"I'm sorry, but I really can't answer anymore of your questions."

"Could we at least look at your injuries then? We are all really worried about you." Midnight asked trying to comfort the girl.

Kagome frowned "Even if Recovery Girl heals me I'll just have more tomorrow."

"Kagome would you please wait here for a bit?We need to discuss something in private." the principle asked. "Why don't you rest for a bit to help your injuries?"

"Yes sir." Kagome complies with the principles request and laid down in the couch. She quickly fell asleep, the pain from her injuries were taking a lot out of her.

Aizawa, Midnight and Principle Nezu moved to a nearby conference room. They each took a seat and sighed.

Principle Nezu started the discussion. "I think we should contact the authorities to start an investigation immediately."

"I agree. I believe there is a lot more to this then just the physical abuse." Midnight suggested.

"I think we should look into the Higure Shrine case as well. She mentioned her family lived on a shrine. I don't think it's a coincidence that her family is gone and there was a incident at that shrine." Aizawa added.

"That is a good point. I know for a fact that Taisho Agency asked the police to be in charge of that case." Principle Nezu agreed.

"What should we do with the girl for now? I don't feel good about her leaving campus." Midnight said.

"I don't think they will kill her. I believe they want to utilize her quirk." Aizawa said. He then looked towards Midnight and tried to comfort her. "I don't want to send her back to them either, but we have to go through a proper investigation."

"I understand, I just kills me inside to see a student in pain." Midnight said sadly.

"It pains us all, but for now we should do our best to make her feel comfortable at school." Principal Nezu said.
