I do not own Pokemon, well if I did then Ash would freaking age and at least be attracted to a girl.
Pallet Town
"Let's go, Pikachu! Pallet Town, here we come!" Ash Ketchum, a boy of age 18 had just arrived home from his journey across the Kalos region.
Even though he came without a prize, this was the closest he had gotten to winning one. The finals. He was that close to winning his first league. He would have been disappointed after so many tries but he had his friends to thank for. They had never left his side and he had gotten constant encouragement from them, which helped him overcome his disappointment. Little did he know about the catastrophe coming his way.
Right now, he was running towards his house in the quaint town of Pallet in the Kanto region. All of his travelling companions had gathered in his house for his performance at the Kalos League. He was running towards his house when he heard several voices.
'What are they talking about? Let's listen in.' Ash thought to himself.
He leaned towards the door and the conversation that followed almost killed the hope and determination in him. Almost.
"He should give up, He's wasting his entire life if he continues this." A certain redhead spoke up.
"I have to agree with Misty. I would have cheered him on if he had at least won, another one or two leagues." A certain pokemon doctor spoke.
That hurt Ash bad. They were his first companions and they did not believe. He thought that nothing could hurt him further but boy, was he in for a surprise.
"I second that, all he won was the stupid Orange League and Battle Frontier which are not recognised that much." A girl with a green bandanna said.
"He's such a little kid, thinking he can be a pokemon master at the rate he is going." The purple-haired ebony bitch spoke up.
This did not hurt him much. Neither did the voices of approval.
"How can you say that about him? Without him, we would not be standing here. We would all be dead at the hands of you know which legendary." The blue-haired girl with a Piplup said.
"That's exactly my point. He's a danger magnet, so it will be in our best interests to tell him to quit his goal and stay away from us." Misty said once again.
"I support Dawn. You're just a bunch of traitors. You could not even support your friend in his dream." A brown-haired girl also spoke up.
"Besides, if you do not act with us, who might know what we will do to a certain mother living in Twinleaf Town, and a certain mother and father in Petalburg City."
Dawn gasped. She never knew Misty could go this far. Meanwhile, May snorted, "Yeah right. A bunch of weaklings like you could take out a Gym Leader. Even though you might have a few Gym Leaders on your side, you can never defeat my father. Also, Max, you're no brother of mine. A brother does not stand with those who threaten his parents and sister.
By this time tears were falling through the eyes of Ash Ketchum. He was angry as well, that Misty would threaten Dawn's mom and May's parents.
Dawn and May had always been special to him, and he would not tolerate this. He was about to step inside, hoping his mother would reason with his friends when he heard the voice that truly broke him, " Misty is right, Dawn. My baby boy always stays away from home but he has almost nothing to show for it. Instead, he keeps getting his life in danger. So, it would be best if he just stayed home from now on." Delia Ketchum said.
Now, he was crying full out. His mother did not believe in him and wanted to throw away his dream. That was the last straw. He decided that if he stayed here, they would make him quit his dream, and there was no way that he was about to do that.
So, he ran away from his home, towards Professor Oak's lab. he hoped that the professor at least did not feel this way. He burst through the doors and saw Prof. Oak sitting with Gary and Paul.
They saw his face and Oak grew worried," Ash, my boy, what happened?"
"Friends... quit dream... threaten Dawn's mom... and May's parents…even mom agreed." He spoke in bits.
Almost instantly, Gary stood up, very angry, " How dare they do this? I'm going there to knock some sense into those guys!"
"Gary, I appreciate it, but I will show them, on my own. I will train day and night, and finally, show them who's the real Pokemon Master!" Ash spoke up his anger taking control of him.
"Ash, I know you're angry, I am as well but you're surrounded by a blue light which is probably not a good thing." Paul finally spoke up.
Oak suddenly gasped, "It's aura. You're manipulating aura."
Ash suddenly, rubbed the back of his neck, in embarrassment." Yeah, I kind of forgot about that. Remember when we were in the kingdom of Rota, and all that happened with the Tree of Beginning," Oak nodded, " Well, turns out that I have hidden aura potential. This is the first time, I've used it."
"Ash, you know Aura is a dangerous force. Before you train your pokemon, I suggest you go find that young man Riley and Riolu that you found, so that they can help you train your aura," Oak turned to the other two boys, "This should remain a secret and you shall not tell anyone about this."
They both nodded.
"Professor, I was hoping you would allow me the privilege to carry all of my pokemon, as I might not be coming back for a long time."
"I understand child, just give me your Pokedex."
Ash handed him the Pokedex, and Oak put it into a slot in his computer and typed some things. "Here, now you can carry as many pokemon as you want."
"Thank you, professor. Can I take all my pokemon now?
Oak went behind to the ranch and started collecting his pokemon.
"So, Ash, where will you go next?"
"First, I gotta go collect some friends that I left behind. Then, I will go to Rota and then some other region."
At that moment, Prof, Oak came back and handed him the pokeballs, " Hey, Professor, do you have an idea about any new regions?"
"Well, there is this group of islands called the Alola region. They have something of an island challenge thing, but I just heard from my cousin there, that an Elite Four would be established in two to three years."
" Ok then. After my training, I'll go to Alola and become the Champion," He turned to the other two, " Now, you can visit Alola after the League has been established, not before that at all."
"Where are you going to train with your pokemon?"
"Mt. Silver."
A hush fell over the place. "But...But that's too dangerous." Gary managed to get out.
"I know, there was probably, only one person who could stop me, but now, she can't. No one can. So I'm gonna go there and kick some ass."
"Now, Professor, before I forget can you hand me two pieces of paper and two envelopes, I got to write some letters."
"Who you writing to, Ashy-boy?" Gary asked, already suspecting the answer, "Perhaps, a certain blonde in a black dress, a brunette in a red dress and bandanna, and a bluenette in a skirt?"
Ash blushed, before regaining his composure, "Hey, I'm writing to them as a friend."
"Sure."
"Yes, I am."
"Not a chance."
"Yes, I am."
"Fat Chance."
"Yes, you are."
"Not a chance." Ash suddenly, put his hand to his mouth, realising what he said.
"So, you got your eyes on three girls, huh Ash?" Paul teased.
"Shut up. Anyways, I'm pretty, sure that they are not interested, so I'm just informing them."
"Well, I'm not sure about the Champion but I'm pretty sure Dawn and May still support you and have got their eye on you."
Ash suddenly got a dreamy look on his face, fantasising about being with Dawn and May both.
"Yo, snap out of it. I thought you were so dense that you couldn't even see any signs that girls shot you." Paul said while snapping his fingers in front of him.
"Yeah, that was an act. He was too focused on his goal, so he just acted dense so he did not hurt anyone's feelings." Gary spoke from beside him.
"Really?"
"Uh-huh. Well, now let me write this letter, so go, shoo!"
"You do realise, that you're shooing me from my Grandpa's lab, right?"
"Couldn't care less. Now go."
Meanwhile, Oak sat in a corner, amused by the friendly banter between the three friends. After about 5 -10 minutes of writing Ash spoke up, "Professor if you could please deliver these."
"Very well, Ash. Now, where are you going?"
"Well, first I'm going to pick up Pidgeot, then Squirtle and then Charizard and Primeape. I missed those guys. Say, Professor, you wouldn't have something portable for easy access to my pokeballs."
"I thought you'd never ask," Oak turned around and brought out a silver case, "This is the latest invention of mine, which enables you to store as many pokeballs as you want."
" This little thing?"
"The size of pokeballs as you catch more pokemon enabling more and more pokemon." (Can't explain how. Just roll with it.)
"Ok then. Goodbye Professor, Next time we meet, hopefully, I'll be a Champion."
"Good luck, my boy."
"Ok buddy, it's time to start our new adventure."
"Pika-pi."
As soon as he said that, they were both enveloped in a fresh white light.
Hall Of Origin
Ash slowly got up. What was this place? Then he saw what was in front of him, or rather who was in front of him.
In front of him, stood Arceus, in all his glory.
"Welcome Chosen One, to my territory."
"The pleasure is mine, Arceus," Ash said as he bowed down.
"No need to bow, in front of me chosen one. I have called you here with a great task."
"You are the last Aura Guardian, along with Riley. All the teams that you have dismantled on your journeys will reuniter, to bring about a change in the balance of the universe. Although this threat, is still far away, I need you to give it all your heart. The world depends on it."
"I will Arceus. I will protect the world. Whatever it takes," Ash nodded solemnly.
"That is all I needed to hear. Now go, you've already been here far too long."
"Huh? I've been here like 5 minutes."
"My child, time passes differently here. Almost an entire day has passed, while you've been here. Now go, time' a-wasting."
Ash chuckled at the use of modern language by Arceus when he was again enveloped in white light."
Meanwhile
Twinleaf Town
Dawn sighed as she sat on her bed. It had been a long flight. After Ash had not shown up, she was worried. A lot. She couldn't sleep, eat or do anything, without knowing that he was safe.
She was caught up in her thoughts when her Mom' voice came up, "Dawn honey, you have a letter."
'A letter? From who? Maybe it was from him?' At that last thought, she practically ran down.
She opened the letter and started crying when she read what it said,
Dear Dawn,
How are you? I hope you're fine. I do. It's because of me that those bastards threatened your mom and I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I happened to hear the entire conversation, how they planned to make me quit my dream, how you tried to protect me. I'll always remember that. Anywho, I'm going away, for who knows how long? I just need a fresh start. Please do not try to find me. This will be my last contact with you until I achieve my dream. I'm pretty sure that if fate wants us to meet, we will.
Love, Ash
"You have nothing to be sorry about Ash. It's my fault. I should've stood up for you. I should've told you how I felt." Dawn mumbled to herself.
Celestic Town
Cynthia sat down on her bed. She had been at her grandmother's house for quite some time. She had missed being here. She was about to lie down when she saw a letter on her table, which was addressed to her.
She opened the letter and recognised the messy writing of a certain raven-haired trainer she had missed so dearly,
Dear Cynthia,
I hope you are fine. I assume that there is no more trouble in Sinnoh from Team Galactic after we kicked their asses. This is just to tell you that I'm going. Away from here or any region you might know, to train. Don't try to find me, you won't. And please do not ask my friends or my mother. I hope next time we meet, we'll fight as Champions of different regions. This will be my last contact with you until I achieve my dream.
Love, Ash.
Cynthia realised something from that letter. Something had happened. Something serious. Something that had brought out an angry and venomous side of the cheerful trainer. Something that would affect him very much if not taken care of.
With these thoughts running in her head, she went to her bed, hoping that this would not change the nature of the trainer that had caught her eye with his love towards pokemon and cheerfulness.
Petalburg City
May couldn't believe it. Her brother and all her friends, even Ash's mom herself had decided to turn on the only person she ever loved. May was so frustrated that she started hitting her bed in a fit of anger.
She was interrupted by a Pidgey knocking on her window. It had a letter of sorts in its mouth. May plucked the letter out of its mouth and saw the address, 'To May'. She immediately recognized the messy writing of Ash. She opened the letter and her eyes started filling up with tears,
Dear May,
How are you doing in your contests? I hope we get to participate in a contest together, like the Terracotta Town contest. Those were really fun times. Anyways, I heard the entire conversation in my house. Man, you acted like a badass, which you were right to do. Man, if you had acted more like that on our journey, I might have fallen for you faster. You think this is a confession, and it is. I like you, May. But it can never happen because, well, it's hard to explain, so I'm not gonna get into that. Also, I'm going away. To train and achieve my dream. This will be my last contact with you. If we meet again, then we'll let fate do his work.
Love, Ash.
"I loved you, Ash. I hope I could have told you sooner. And if we meet again, I will be with you every step of the way, no matter what." May mumbled to herself as she slipped off to a dreamless sleep.
Viridian Forest
Ash was walking in the forest when he heard shrieks of several pokemon from a tree not far away from him.
What came from there might have scared the crap out of him some years ago but not today.
Fearows and Spearows. Lots of them. And by the look of the one leading them, it was his old enemy, the one he had encountered on his first journey.
Just as he was about to call out to Pikachu to use an attack, he again heard several cries but from different pokemon. Pidgeys, Pidgeottos led by a single Pidgeot. Ash's Pidgeot. Suddenly, Ash was filled with prie but also guilt. He never came back to take him back, as he had promised.
If he was in Pidgeot's place, he might not protect himself. But this was Pidgeot. Pidgeot might be angry with Ash but he was still his trainer.
Pidgeot landed in front of Ash. He cried out loud to his comrades and they began attacking the fearows and spearows. Then he turned around to look Ash straight in the eye.
"Pidgeot, thank -" Ash began.
Just as he had begun, Pidgeot turned his head, showing that he was angry.
"Pidgeot, please. I'm sorry. I did not have the time and I thought that you were happy here. I'm sorry. Please forgive me."
"Pidgeot!" He cried out.
"You will, thank you."
With that conversation, the swarm of fearows and spearows had finally been defeated and they retreated. The flock of pidgeys and pidgeottos also went back.
"Pidgeot, will you come with me?"
"Pidgeot?" Pidgeot looked towards Ash questioningly.
Ash explained what had happened in the last two days.
Pidgeot after listening to this grew angry.
"Pidgeot calm down. This is why I'm here. I plan to train for two years and then become the Champion of Alola."
"Pidgeot!" Pidgeot nudged towards the pokeballs on his waist.
"You will?" Pidgeot nodded.
Ash then cheered and caught Pidgeot.
"Okay, Pikachu. Next stop is Squirtle Squad."
Similarly, after finding the location of the Squirtle Squad, Ash finally convinced Squirtle to come with him. Squirtle gave away his leadership to his right-hand man and went with Ash on his journey.
Next stop was Charicific Valley.
Charicific Valley
Ash stepped down in the valley and was greeted by Liza, the only human in the valley.
"Hey Liza, long time no see."
"Hey, Ash. I assume you're here to take Charizard with you."
"Yup."
"Be careful, though. He might be angry that you've only come now."
"Well, he always blasts me with a flamethrower, so I will survive."
"Listen, Ash, he and Charla also had an egg. It hatched into a Charmander. So, tread lightly."
"I will, thanks, Liza."
Ash started walking through the valley when he saw 2 Charizards and a Charmander. When he walked into their sight, the Charmander went back to her mother and the father simply blasted Ash with a flamethrower.
"It's good to see you too Charizard." Charizard came over to Ash and they hugged each other.
"Charizard, I know you just had a baby but I need you. Now more than ever."
Charizard as with Pidgeot gave him a questioning glance. Again, Ash explained the story.
Charizard flew towards the sky and let out a roar that couldn't be rivalled by anyone else. Well, it fits that he is the king of all Charizards, as he is the biggest and strongest.
The Charmander meanwhile was scared. She had never seen her father so angry.
Charizard flew back down and nodded towards Ash.
"You sure? What about your daughter?"
As soon as Charizard heard this, he calmed down and turned back to his daughter. In a hushed conversation, he explained to his daughter.
His daughter, however, did not want him to leave. She was more close to her father than her mother. That's when an idea sparked in her mind.
"Father, can you perhaps take me on this journey?"
"It will be very dangerous there child."
"But I will have you to protect me and from what I've heard and seen about this trainer, your bond and care for each other, I'm sure he'll take care of me as well."
"Are you okay with this?" Charizard asked Charla.
"It's fine. She'll explore different regions with you as well."
Charizard nodded his head and gestured to Ash about the situation. Ash understood and was delighted.
"Sure, I'll be happy to take her as well," Ash turned to the little Charmander, "I will take very good care of you. I promise."
Ash turned back to Charizard," Do you want me to catch her?"
Charizard nodded.
Ash brought out two pokeballs for both father and daughter, "You know Charizard, you having a daughter makes me feel old." Charizard let out an amused grunt.
"I still remember you as a little Charmander. Then you became a Charmeleon and stopped obeying me. And it was worse when you made me lose the Indigo League," Charizard lowered his head in embarrassment," But no need to worry, 'cause this time with Pikachu you will be my star pokemon. The ones that will help me win the league."
