A/N: Something new. This idea randomly popped in my head and was begging to be written. I am using ring names per usual.
I'm sorry for those that have problems with alcoholism. I hope this doesn't trigger anything. It's just something I wanted to explore with. To those who have recovered from alcohol addiction - I am so proud of you! True power.
The faceclaim for Sara Cole is Sarah Desjardins(How ironic? LOL!)

I: Backstory
"Hi, my name is Sara and I'm an alcoholic-"
"Hi, Sara," the fellow members of Sara's Alcoholic's Anonymous meeting greeted.
"-I have been sober for eleven days. This is my first time ever attending an AA meeting."
"You want to tell us what brought you in today?" The counselor inquired.
Sara sighed and ran a shaky hand through her hair. "I'm sorry, I need a minute. I haven't publicly told my story."
"It's okay, you can take your time," The counselor offered.
Sara nodded. The brunette let out a huge breath. "Okay, here it goes: I was going through a lot at the beginning of last year and I turned to alcohol as my personal vice. I showed up to an NXT Takeover event - where I was watching my brother compete - completely intoxicated. It was NXT Takeover: New York to be exact. I was employed by the WWE at that time and whenever word got out that I showed up intoxicated to a public event, they took me off the Wrestlemania card and put me in rehab-"
She sighed. "-I was doing great, but then November comes and I was ready to return at WWE Survivor Series. I relapsed right before I was set to make my grand return. I don't know if it was the pressure I put on myself - which was a ridiculous amount - or that I would be seeing my ex and the woman he was engaged to-"
"-now don't get me wrong, his fiancee is lovely, but it just ached to see that he was engaged to someone after a couple months of dating after I had been with him for two and half years prior and I couldn't get him to make a commitment-" She wiped at the tears pricking her blue eyes. "-I'm sorry."
She got herself together and continued, "-anyways...I got my hands on some alcohol and drank quite a bit. That was the final straw because right after that incident, I was released from WWE-"
"-I am not going to bash the company for releasing me because they were gracious to me. It was my own fault. I was the one who publicly embarrassed the company; not once, but twice. After all this happened, there was a rift in my relationship with my brother. He is the NXT champion and is very proud of the company he works for, so I don't blame him for being upset with me at all."
"Are things okay with your brother now?"
"Yeah," Sara replied. "As a matter of fact: he's my sponsor."
"That's great, Sara," The counselor praised. "It seems like you and your brother are close."
"We are. He's a great person. He's letting me stay with him and his girlfriend while I'm getting back on my feet."
"That's wonderful."
Sara smiled. "Thanks. He's the best big brother anyone could ever ask for."
The Counselor looked around at the circle of people who attended the AA meeting. "Thanks everyone who attended the meeting. And a big thank you to Sara - who is attending an AA meeting for the first time - for sharing her story."
Sara stood up and made her exit. She walked out of the building where the meeting was being held and found her brother's car. She opened the passenger side door and got in. Her brother was none other than: NXT Champion, Adam Cole. "Hey, sis, how was your first ever AA meeting?" He put the car in start and made his way back to his Condo.
"Better than I thought. I shared my story and it wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be."
"That's a sign of progress."
"I did tear up when I mentioned my ex."
"Well, you didn't have a breakdown, so I consider that progress."
"You're right."
"There's a lot of people who have been asking about your progress."
"Really? Who?"
"Roddy, Kyle, Bobby, Johnny, Candice, Regal, Hunter, Shawn," Adam answered. "There's more people who asked, but those are the names that popped in my head first."
"That's really nice."
"According to Britt," Adam was referring to his girlfriend, AEW Wrestler and DMD: Britt Baker. "Matt, Nick, Kenny, Cody, and Page have been asking about you and your progress."
She smiled whenever her brother mentioned the names of the Elite members. She and her brother had quite the history with those guys. "It's assuring to know that they care even though you and I haven't been associated with them in quite some time."
"Just because you have been in an opposite company as them for awhile doesn't mean that they stopped caring," the older brother assured. "Shit...I am in the middle of the Wednesday Night Wars with them, but they're still my good friends."
"Fair point."
"You know, Sara, I'm proud of you for attending this AA meeting today. It took a lot of willpower for you to go and to tell your story too."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
Sara smiled. "Thanks for being the best big brother ever. You've been so encouraging to me during this rough patch and I'm glad you don't hate me after everything I've done."
"I was upset, but I could never hate you."
"I'm glad to hear that."
"What's the next step on your road to redemption?"
"I definitely want to find a job."
