*Rosewood Hospital – Labor & Delivery floor*

Spencer and Aria gaze upon their new baby boy. He is absolutely perfect. Born only 3 days early, all ten fingers and toes, and he scored perfectly on all of his newborn tests.

"He is perfect," Spencer breathes as she runs her fingertip across the baby's cheek. "He looks just like you, Ar. I hope he gets to keep those big blue eyes."

"They would be gorgeous, wouldn't they?"

"You want me to call Ella and Byron and have them bring Rosie and Jules?" Aria nods and Spencer moves to the hallway to make the phone call, so she does not disturb the sleeping baby in Aria's arms.

She dials her in-laws' number, and tells them that their 4-year-old twins, Rosie and Jules, are now big sisters to a little boy.

Ella answers and she is all tears and excitement as she calls Byron over to tell him Aria has had the baby. Of course, Rosie is eating a grilled cheese sandwich and French fries at the table, and she overhears it.

Spencer can hear the little girl shouting I wanna talk to Mommy! Ella puts her on.

"Hi, Mommy! Did Mamma have the baby? Did'she, did'she?"

Spencer laughs at her daughter's excitement. If there was one thing the twins have been waiting for since Halloween of last year, it was the birth of their baby brother.

"Yes, baby. Mamma had Bubba. Gran and Granpa are going to bring you and Jules to see us, ok?" She gets an 'ok' back and hangs up the phone.

25 minutes later, and Ella and Byron are coming down the hallway holding two blue balloons and a teddy bear. Two little girls are running ahead of them.

Juliet Emilia Montgomery-Hastings, or Jules to the family, is tall for her age. She has hazel eyes and long, dark brown hair. Although she is tall like Spencer, Jules is Aria's little carbon copy. She loves arts and crafts, taking pictures, and being outside. She is especially an animal lover.

Her twin sister, Rosalie Hanna, or Rosie, is shorter, more average for a 4-year-old. She has dirty-blonde hair, green eyes, and is the perfect mix between Spencer and Aria. She loves to read, is smart and sassy, and she is also very quiet.

The two run down the hall towards Spencer. They are each carrying another balloon. Jules has a blue baby bottle while Rosie's is a light blue circle, proclaiming It's a Boy!

"Mommy, Mommy!"

Catching her in a hug, Spencer twirls Rosie in a circle.

"Hey, Bug! Did you have fun with Gran and Granpa?"

Rosie nods excitedly.

"Who is ready to go see Mamma and Bubba?"

Jules lights up and begins jumping up and down. "Me, me, me! I'm ready, Mommy!"

"Okay, now remember, Mamma and/or Bubba may be asleep, so we have to use our quiet voices, alright?"

She isn't too worried about Rosie, since she is quieter and is normally "silently" excited, while Jules is the one to jump up and down, shout, and yell when excited or happy.

Juliet nods and holds Spencer's hand. She just cannot wait to see her new baby brother. Spencer opens the door slowly, peaking around it as she pushes it all the way open.

"Mamma, Mamma, is that him? Is that Bubba?"

Aria smiles at Juliet. "Yes, baby, this is Bubba. Can you girls say hello to your new baby brother?"

Rosie leans in closer, peering into the infant's blueish-grey eyes and smiling at him. "Hi, Bubba," She whispers. "My name is Rosalie, but you can call me Rosie!"

"Mamma, what is his name?" Juliet takes great care in patting the baby boy gentle on the head. She even leans down and kisses his forehead. The baby can't seem to choose who to look at longer – his big sisters, his mamma, or his mommy.

Aria looks over at her parents. They are standing on the opposite side of the bed from Spencer.

"His name is Ronan," She tells everyone. "Ronan Michael Montgomery-Hastings." This part is directed towards her parents.

Her baby brother, Mike…

God, has it really been three years since the car accident?

Ella looks at her with tears in her eyes.

"It's a beautiful name," Byron tells his daughter as he wraps his wife in his arms. "A beautiful, honorable name."

Michael Montgomery – the older, original one, that is, – was driving Mona to the hospital late in the night, three years ago. She had gone into labor, but they wanted to wait until her contractions were closer together than what they started out as, before leaving the house, so as to not be stuck at the hospital for so long.

Unfortunately, Ellison Montgomery decided that New Year's Eve was the perfect time to make her entrance.

That meant lots of drunk idiots on the roads.

And one of those drunk idiots rammed right into the driver's side of Mike's car. Mona was fine, as was the baby, but Mike?

God, Mona can still hear his voice as he made the paramedics promise to take her away even if she begged them to let her stay until he was out of the car. She can hear him saying he loved her, and to go with the paramedics…

It was the last time she ever heard his voice. And god, how she misses him. His smile, his laugh, his hugs…

But now?

Now Mike has a nephew who is named in honor of him.

In honor of the amazing uncle who Ronan will never get to meet.

Why? Sparia Angst, why is it so easy to write? I would much rather be writing for We Were Just Kids, but of course, I can't produce chapters for that like I can for a story which is angsty.

Let me know if you are interested in this story. If you are, and if enough people respond, I will put it on my "works-in-progress" list. Otherwise, it will just stay a weird little one-shot.

If this turns out to be a multi-chap, it will be based on Taylor Swift's song Ronan, which she wrote about a three-year-old little boy who had cancer. She followed the blog that Ronan's mom had, and when she learned of his death, Taylor wrote the song, titled Ronan. If you have not heard it, please go and listen! It is an incredible – albeit sad – song. :)
