If you or know someone with depression, help them, be their shelter, be their shoulder to cry on. No one deserves to deal with depression or feel like they're alone in this scary world.
Kenickie Murdoch was always the tough one of the T-Birds, he always comes through to be there for his best friends and his girlfriend Rizzo, the leader of the Pink Ladies, he is very protective of his youngest best friend Putzie, the youngest member of the T-Birds, but lately he's been feeling depressed and the gang are super worried about him. He tries to hides his pain by fake smiles, acts tough and don't care about the world. Anyway Kenickie was sitting in his room, on floor with head hanging down. He was feeling depressed again. The reason why he's depressed is because it's close to his father's birthday, but he's not happy because when he was 3 years old his father walked out on him and his mother. Kenickie always hated his father and himself, he also blamed himself for his father walking out on him. Just then he turned around to see Putzie at the window. "Putzie!" Kenickie says as he turned back quickly dried his face with his hands and stood up, so Putzie wouldn't see that he was crying. But he knew Putzie wasn't stupid, for a greaser, Putzie cares about people and would do anything, epically for his best friends, his family and his girl Jan. So Kenickie opens the window, putting on a fake smile. "Hey Babyface, how's it going eh?" He asked him.
"Kenickie, please stop." Putzie gently says.
"Stop what?" Kenickie asked.
Putzie climbs through the window.
"The act, acting like you don't care or you don't feel any pain." Putzie said. "And I know your father's birthday is close."
"I have no father, now I have to—" Kenickie started, but he saw the puppy dog eyes in Putzie and lets out a sigh. "Fine, I'm not ok."
Kenickie walks over to his bed.
"I never was and I'll never be." He added. "I'm alone in this world.
"How can you say that? Kenickie, man, what your father did was stupid and unfatherly thing to do." Putzie told him. "He's an idiot."
Kenickie looks up at him.
"You are definitely not nor ever alone, you have your mom, your girl Rizzo, your best friends!" Putzie gently said, "But most importantly you have me."
Kenickie looks down, he knew Putzie was right. After all, Putzie been looking up to Kenickie since they were really little. Kenickie was Putzie's idol, his role model. Putzie's older brother Phil and even Danny worried sometime that Putzie might end up like Kenickie.
"You're like my older brother." Putzie told him. "And I love you."
Kenickie looks up at Putzie and stood up.
"I love you too, little bro." Kenickie replied.
Then Putzie pulls Kenickie for a tight hug. Then Kenickie started to cry in Putzie's arms, well on his shoulders actually. Kenickie only show his emotions towards his mother, Rizzo and Putzie. He was really grateful for what he had, but he was still depressed and felt lonely.
"Thanks for being there for me Babyface." Kenickie cried.
"Of course, I'm always here for ya Kenny." Putzie said.
Putzie and Rizzo are the only ones that gets to call him Kenny. Kenickie never liked showing his emotions, but he knew Putzie wouldn't care if he cried or even be vulnerable. Putzie's family even sometimes let's Kenickie stay over for the weekend or even on week days, epically if Kenickie needed a father figure.
