I wish there was more stories about these two, so here it is!

You may have read this before, but I've been logged out of my other account.

Derek Venturi was sound asleep in bed, but was woken up by the shaking. "Mmmh, dad 5 more minutes." Derek mumbles.

"Derek?" He heard a voice.

Then He turns to see his 12 ½ years old little brother standing by his bed.

"Edwin? What are you doing up?" Derek asked him.

"It's…it's not important anyway." Edwin lied. "I'm gonna go back to bed."

Then it hit Derek, when they were really small Edwin was scared of thunders and Derek would always comfort him.

"Wait a minute Ed." Derek said letting out a sigh and stood up from his bed. "You're not going up there."

"I'm not?" Edwin asked.

"No, you're staying here with your big bro." Derek said putting a comfort hand on his younger brother's shoulder.

Then Edwin smiled a little.

"But why would you care?" Edwin asked.

"Edwin, you're my little brother and it's my job to protect you." Derek told him.

"Thanks." Edwin says.

"Come on little brother." Derek said as they both lied down on Derek's bed.

Derek puts his protective arm around him while Edwin clings to Derek's side.

"Derek?" Edwin asked.

"Yeah Ed?" Derek asked.

"Why do you always pick on me?" Edwin asked him.

Then Derek chuckles at him.

"It's call brotherly love ya dork." Derek teased.

Edwin laughed quietly.

"Well thanks for being the best big brother ever." Edwin said closing his eyes.

"No problem kid." Derek whispers as he gently kissed his head.

Then Derek closed his eyes thinking of the time when he comforted young Edwin in his arms in a thunderstorm.

~Flashback~

7 years old Derek Venturi was holding his 4 years old baby brother Edwin in his arms as Edwin hid his face in Derek's shoulder from the thunder and lightning.

"I'm scared Derey." Edwin said looking up at his older brother.

"Shhh, its ok Eddie." Derek said kissing his head. "I'll protect you…and I'll never ever let anything or anyone hurt you."

Then Edwin cries softly and listens to the heartbeat from his older brother which calmed him down.

~End Of Flashback~

Derek smiled at the flashback and looked down at his sleepy brother in his arms. "I'll always protect you…and I'll never ever let anything or anyone hurt you…ever." Derek said before closing his eyes.
