The flight to Vale was nearly perfect.

The sky was calm and clear, filled with a warm setting sun. The airship itself had barely shaken at all, creating a very pleasant flight. Seats were filled with various Beacon students in their own little groups, chatting about random topics.

It was a peaceful period for Beacon Academy. The first semester had recently ended a week ago, giving the students a much-needed break. Many students had chosen to return home to enjoy times with their families or to relax where they were most comfortable. However, some of the upperclassmen and a few of the first years had decided to stay on campus for their own reasons. Both groups, in a week's time, would be back in class. Their school lives would resume and all of their free time would be lost between classes and the upcoming Vytal Festival. So it wasn't unusual now to see these groups riding a Bullhead out to enjoy Vale's nightlife.

A weekend evening out on the town, the chance for fun and excitement without the fear of Oobleck's fastpaced lectures, Port's longwinded stories, or Goodwitch's disciplinary measures. All and all, it made for what seemed to be the perfect trip. Except, of course, for one passenger.

A young man with short messy blond hair, fair skin, dark-blue eyes, clad in a black short-sleeved hoodie with detached orange under a white chest plate, white spaulders on his shoulders, brown fingerless gloves, blue jeans, black sneakers, and a sword attached to the two belts around his waist.

Jaune Arc, Beacon's resident knight, was currently miserable.

While all other passengers could easily ignore the subtle and small shifts and rumbles of the airship as it continued its flight, every small turn and shake of the ship caused the contents of Jaune's stomach to churn and boil. The young knight had a long list of weaknesses, motion sickness being one of his major ones. No amount of late-night training could help the teenager with his affliction. Sometimes he had hoped there was some secret aura technique that he could learn to help him but unfortunately while aura could help with many things, nausea wasn't one of them as far as he knew.

So here Jaune was, slumping against the window next to his seat. Hoping the flight would go faster so that he would be back on solid land while using most of his willpower to calm the unsettling storm that was in his stomach.

"Are you going to be okay there Vomit Boy? You sure you can make it all the way to Vale?" A soft voice asked him, luckily bringing his attention away from his sickness.

"Oh, ha-ha…and who's fault is it that I'm stuck on a ship, Craterface? Seriously did we have to fly this late?" Jaune groaned as he lifted himself up to look his companion in the eye.

Ruby Rose, his best friend, and source of his troubles. Short, black hair that faded to red at the tips that reached her shoulders, pale yet fair skin, soft silver eyes, and her trademarked red hooded cloak pinned to a black gothic style dress with red trim, black belt with pouches on the side, and black stockings leading to her black combat boots. Her weapon collapsed and attached to her belt. The young girl was giving him a look of concern with a small bit of amusement.

He thought back to how he landed in this situation. The day had started out normal. Both teams RWBY and JNPR had decided to remain at Beacon during the break for one reason or another and while the two teams regularly hung out together they all had their own ways of enjoying their new freedom.

Jaune himself settled into a routine of enjoying his comics whenever he had alone time from his team. The young Arc loved his team and while he enjoyed his time with them, especially the nightly training he still took with Pyrrha, Jaune was glad to have some "Me Time." Life with a large family barely gave him such moments.

However, when he had suddenly received an emergency scrollcall from Ruby asking for help he immediately dropped the comic he was reading, grabbed his weapon and rushed out to the red reaper's location like any good friend would do.

Only to soon be swept up in a blur of rose petals upon arrival to the courtyard and pulled towards the airship docks.

Just like that, his plans for the weekend were stolen by the young girl sitting innocently in front of him.

"Well, we wouldn't be able to have a secret leader meeting back at Beacon. Who knows who could be eavesdropping?!" Ruby answered his question. "We can't have our teams hearing any of our plans for the last days of break!" Ruby said seriously.

"And we couldn't just find a private place to talk at Beacon because…?"

"Because we can't take the risk! It's almost impossible to hide secrets from Yang and Nora. If they think that we're up to something they might just Ren and Blake to use their ninja moves to track us down and listen in." Ruby quickly explained her reasoning. "So, we have to go to Vale where they won't have any clues on where to find us."

"Ruby, we could have just used the leader's lounge. They wouldn't have the code to…"

"Nope!" Ruby said, popping the p and smiling victoriously before the defeated Arc.

"Right…and I'm sure this trip to Vale wasn't for another reason," Jaune said, staring dully back at the Rose.

Seeing the dull look on Jaune's face caused Ruby to look away nervously. "Well…I kind of, also, might have needed someone to come with me to Vale to buy some new weapon magazines and ammo for my baby. So I figured, why not ask my bestest friend at Beacon." The girl admitted.

"I thought Weiss was your best friend?"

"Silly Jaune. Weiss is my bestie-better-than-the-restie. There's a huge difference."

"I'm sure," Jaune said, smiling at the girl's simple answer. Sometimes it was easier just to roll with Ruby's logic than try to question it. "Anyway, why couldn't any of your teammates come with you to Vale? Actually, why do you need someone to go with you anyway?"

"Weiss was busy with calls from her family and her plans for the Vytal Festival. Blake has been stuck reading her books or going to the library since she came back, and my ever-reliable big sister is out doing who knows what!"

After her explosion, Ruby slumped back and gave Jaune a hopeful, teary-eyed look. "So, I thought that my first friend at Beacon, my Bestie, would be a cool guy and want to come out to Vale with me?"

"I would have gone without you kidnapping me Rubes," Jaune said while flicking her forehead, ignoring Ruby's pouting. Having seven sisters, especially the younger ones, helped him build immunity to the puppy dog eyes Ruby was giving him.

"Plus it's not like I can go anywhere now."

"Hehehe…sorry. Had to be sure, you know." Ruby apologized, a small blush dusting her cheeks. "I would have gone by myself, but Yang doesn't like me going out to Vale at night alone."

"Really?" Jaune asked. A part of him wasn't surprised to hear that. The yellow dragon of Team RWBY was known to be very protective of her little sister.

"It's so dumb! I'm a confident huntress-in-training; I can take care of myself!" Ruby complained with her cheeks puffed out in anger.

"Didn't you run into Roman Torchwick, a notorious criminal, when you were out by yourself?" Jaune brought up.

"That was one time!"

"And if you were my younger sister, I would probably want someone to keep you safe too. Confident huntress or not. So it's not like I don't understand her position, especially since I have seven sisters. I'd probably do the same." Jaune said casually, shocking Ruby with that last statement about his family.

"I have it hard enough with just one! How did you survive with seven?!"

Jaune leaned close and gave Ruby a serious, far-off look in his eyes. "Sometimes all you have to do is be really annoying. Sometimes it was the only way."

There was a small silence between the two before Ruby decided to break it by bursting into laughter. This was followed by Jaune; the serious air was shattered as the two dorks continued to laugh.

"Are you serious?" Ruby asked, wiping the tears from her eyes.

"How do you think I managed with all of them trying to braid my hair?" Jaune said. Memories of his time as his sister's living dress up model still in his mind.

Before Ruby could ask what Jaune meant they were interrupted by a sudden and harsh lurch of the airship. One that launched the girl from her seat and towards Jaune, who only had a second to react and catch her less they smashed their foreheads together. Ruby didn't even have a chance to thank her friend as the two could feel the shakings continue.

"What just happened?" Ruby asked as the rumblings of the bullhead seemed to increase as time went on.

"A Grimm attack maybe?" Jaune asked, still confused at what was happening.

:This is the captain speaking. We're experiencing some strong turbulence. We ask that you please remain in your seats.:

"Well, at least it isn't Grimm." Ruby said in relief, a blush on her face as she remembered she was on top of Jaune's lap. The young Rose moved to try and go back to her seat only for the ship to continue to shake, trapping her in place.

"Y-yay…" Jaune said lowly. His motion sickness, which he could thankfully ignore earlier with their talks, was the last thing on his mind now that there was a cute girl now on his lap. While they were just friends, it didn't mean he could ignore how attractive the small reaper was.

Looking out the window to try and take his mind off the shaking and their awkward position, Jaune then noticed something strange outside.

"What is that in the sky?"

Following his eyes, Ruby looked outside and her eyes widened. The sun must have set as it looked like the evening had just begun. However, instead of a dark evening sky, there was a myriad of different colors shining across the sky. The streaks wrapping around the bullhead making it look like the ship was flying through an aurora. A ship sailing through a sea of colors. Mesmerized by its beauty, Ruby and Jaune were in awe at the before they felt the ship begin to vibrate even more.

:This is the captain speaking. There seems to be a strange anoma-What the hell is that?!:

The vibrations became so intense that it felt as if the ship was tearing apart. The shaking caused both Ruby and Jaune to close their eyes and hold the other close, hoping that the bullhead wouldn't crash. In their moment of panic, neither of them would notice the lights swirling around their seat or the light that was coming off the rose-shaped broach Ruby had on her belt.

In an instant, a sudden bright light enveloped the entire ship.

Moments later, the light faded and the sky would return to normal. The bullhead was flying steady again, the rumblings having ceased and everything seemingly intact. When the ship would land in Vale, the captain and various technicians would run through and make sure everyone on board was all right and nothing had been damaged as they searched for the source of the strange malfunction. Only then would they find out they were missing two passengers.

It was only when the strong light had faded that Ruby felt it was safe to open her eyes. Feeling the warm body against her, she could tell Jaune was still with her too. With the shaking now gone, the knight soon released her and only after taking a second to recover from whatever had happened did the two notice they were not on the airship anymore.

"Jaune, where are we?" Ruby asked as she took in her surroundings.

"I have no clue," Jaune answered, just as confused as Ruby was.

They were standing in the middle of what they could only describe as a storybook palace. On both sides of them were long, decorated walls of luscious red and black with large open windows showing Ruby and Jaune the night sky. Hard and fancy black marbled floors, a heavy contrast from the metallic grey of the bullhead. Looking up they could also see the main light was coming from a large and well-crafted silver chandelier decorated with many glowing stones bathing the room in a warm light. Wherever they are, the room seemed to emit a royal and otherworldly air.

"Look at that. The spell worked, just not as intended."

Surprising the two, Ruby and Jaune turned around towards the direction of the voice. There above several red-carpeted steps lied a large throne in the center of the room and sitting upon it was the strangest sight the two have ever seen.

To Ruby and Jaune, the woman staring down at them looked like an exotic and peculiar kind of Faunus. Long flowing hair that went down past her waist, pale yet fair skin without any single flaw, an hourglass shape, well-endowed chest, and wide hips that were barely covered by the elegant black dress she was wearing, her midriff and thighs visible to the pair, black stockings that stopped halfway up her thighs and lead down to a pair of heels. What really caught their attention, besides her otherworldly beauty, were what they believed was her animal traits. Pointed ears, large black horns that curled around her head forming what looked like an empress crown, large white batlike wings coming from her back and a long white tail that ended in a heart.

Jaune had seen many beautiful women during his time at Beacon. Huntresses-in-training could easily all double as supermodels if they wanted to. The woman on the throne, however, put them all to shame. The woman's beauty is on another level regardless of the extra appendages she may have.

Ruby, however, was just silently looking up to the woman. Unsure if she was frozen by the woman's presence for the same reason as her friend or for another reason. She definitely was feeling envious of this person whose looks blew Yang out of the water. Still, she couldn't help but feel a small pull towards the mysterious person.

"Allow me to apologize for your impromptu arrival. I wasn't exactly expecting you two, but having you two here is an interesting surprise to be sure." The mysterious woman said, her ruby red eyes seemingly sparkling from the light of the room.

"Surprise?" Ruby asked with her and Jaune now shaken from their stupor after hearing the stranger speak.

"Imagine waiting for one person to arrive, but to instead have you two appear before me." The woman spoke as she continued to inspect both Ruby and Jaune, although her eyes seemed to linger on Ruby for a second longer.

"Um, sorry but why exactly is it such a surprise?" Jaune asked nervously, trying to get some answers but still not wanting to offend the obvious ruler of wherever they were.

"Simple, I was trying to bring a specific person here. So it is a surprise to have someone else appear and with a man no less." The silver-haired woman clarified as she rose from her feet to stand, surprising the Beacon duo as she walked down the steps towards them.

Frozen, whether because of fear or any other emotion, Ruby and Jaune did nothing as the woman moved forward. Her heels clicked loudly against the hard floor as the woman came close and circled the teens once over. The mysterious person then stopped in front of them and looked from Jaune to Ruby.

"Tell me child, is this person here your husband?"

"Husband?!/Husband?!"

Ruby and Jaune repeated her in shock, quickly glancing at each other before turning away.

"I, no we're friends!" Ruby quickly corrected, all while blushing up a storm, becoming as red as her namesake.

'I mean, Jaune's a good guy. He's my first friend at Beacon. My bestie. He's always helping us when he can. Baking sweets, shopping for comics, going for the arcade. I mean, he's not exactly scraggly anymore after Pyrrha's training. I like Jaune. Not like-like…I think.'

Jaune himself was also blushing but just chose to remain silent as he didn't know what to say.

'I mean, sure Ruby's cute. You have to be blind not to think that. But she's my best friend. Besides, there's no way she would be interested in a guy like me.'

"I see; a shame." The woman said with a disappointed look on her face. Before they could voice their confusion, she spoke again. "Now, I believe introductions are in order. My name is Lilith, the ruler of this castle. And you two are?"

"Um, Ruby. Ruby Rose…your Majesty." Ruby introduced herself, still intimidated by Lilith despite the almost playful air about her. She quickly added a curtsy as best she could as she hopes to not offend. The last thing she wanted was to have what looked like royalty mad at her.

"Ruby Rose," Lilith repeated as if testing something. She then turned her attention to Jaune. "And your name, good knight?"

Jaune hesitated a bit. He was nervous just like Ruby but for a different reason. He felt like he was staring down a predator, one that would certainly devour him if he wasn't careful. "Jaune Arc," Jaune answered with as much confidence as he could muster. "Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue. Ladies love it."

Unfortunately, his dad's pickup line left his lips before he even noticed much to his embarrassment.

Time seemed to freeze for a moment.

The room was filled with a suffocating silence.

However, before Jaune could try and apologize for any rash words Lilith gave out a small chuckle.

"Do they now?" Lilith asked her smile ever-present. "Amusing, he certainly is a keeper Ruby." If she was in any way offended by the Arc's cheesy line, Lilith didn't show it.

"Thanks…I mean, we're not…he's not…I'm not…" Ruby struggled, unable to find the right words to say to the empress before she decided to give up with correcting her. "Lilith, ma'am, where exactly are we? And why are we here?"

"Of course, you both must have many questions," Lilith said, her playfulness placed to the side as she could imagine the thoughts that were running through the two's heads. "Right here, right now, would not be the best place for answers."

"What do you mean by that, um your Majesty?" Jaune said, quickly remembering his manners at the end.

"Never you mind Mr. Arc. After the trip you two have taken, I'm sure you would like a more comfortable place to have your questions answered." Lilith waved off Jaune's worries. She then gave two loud claps and in a moment Ruby and Jaune could hear the door behind them open as two maids walked into the throne room.

The two women who just arrived looked like ordinary maids, outfits and all, though their outfits were skimpier than usual. They also had similar horns, wings, and a tail as Lilith. The difference between the maids, however, was their much shorter horns and their pink wings and tails instead of the stark white of Lilith's.

"Take these two to a private room, you both should know the one I have in mind." Lilith ordered sternly as she addressed the maids. "Spread the word that these two are my guests and that they are not to be harassed by anyone. This is a direct order from the Mamono Lord. Is that clear?"

"Yes, Milady." The maids bowed before Lilith, acknowledging her orders.

"Ruby, Jaune, follow these two for the time being. We will get this all sorted in due time." Her stern voice now replaced with a more soft and motherly tone as she addressed her two visitors.

"I will put a couple of guards on watch just in case. Wouldn't want the man here snatched up in the middle of the night." Lilith said in jest, embarrassing the two even more. "I shall also have refreshments brought to the room as well for the wait. I hope you two hold out for your answers for just a little while longer."

At that moment the maids then began to lead Ruby and Jaune away from Lilith and towards the door they came. Following their new guides, the reaper and knight pair made way to leave the throne room.

"Ruby Rose."

Hearing her name called, silver eyes met red as Ruby turned around to look towards Lilith.

"You look so much like her."

"Like who?" Ruby curiously asked.

Lilith didn't answer as she instead waved them off as the maids pulled the two with them and out of the room, closing the door behind them. Now left on her own, Lilith turned around to her throne and took a small breath.

"So much like her."

Left with little choice, Ruby and Jaune were forced to make their way through the halls of the castle. The red walls, extravagant art, and architecture look like nothing the two students have seen before.

As they walked they also noticed there were several other women around. Other maids going about their tasks, more armored women with classic weapons that they assumed were guards and other various women here and there. Many of them with multiple animal traits like Lilith and their guides. From similar type wings and heart-tipped tail to lizard tails and scales to fur and hooves, if not for the occasional human, it looked like they landed in some kind of all Faunus castle. However, Jaune and Ruby took notice immediately of the lack of men about the castle.

The two maids in charge of their safety said nothing as they led them through the hallways before stopping before a door. A door guarded by two well-armored knights, both women with long scarves tied around their necks and covering their lips from view.

A silent conversation took place between the maids and knights before they moved aside and opened the door, allowing Ruby and Jaune inside and closing the door behind them.

"Are we even in Vale anymore?" Jaune jokingly asked after seeing the doors shut. Hoping to relieve some of the tension he was sure both Ruby and him were feeling.

Now left on their own, the two examined the room not knowing what to expect. The last thing that came to mind was this kind of room. They were expecting to be placed in some kind of waiting room or parlor, but not a bedroom.

A bedroom that was easily four times the size of their dorms back at Beacon. The room had similar black polished marble flooring like that of the throne room, although the walls were a soft white instead of the deep reds of the hall. It also had a massive king-size canopy bed tucked into the corner with a chest at the foot of the bed. Finely crafted wooden furniture spread across the room like the large dresser complete with a mirror and a small table complete with a few seats. There were also doors leading to what the two could assume were the closet and also the bathroom. A window covered with red curtains helped to complete the room.

"Some private room. This place looks like something Weiss would have back in Atlas." Ruby said as she looked around. So far nothing was out of the ordinary, but as much as they wanted to they couldn't let their guards down. They were technically kidnapped and brought to wherever this castle was.

"No kidding. I don't I've ever heard of a castle like this in any of the kingdoms." Jaune said, blown away by the fancy furnishings.

"That woman, Lilith." Ruby thought aloud. "She said I looked like someone. I wonder who."

"Is she someone you know?"

"I don't think I would forget someone like that," Ruby said; her face flushed pink as she thought back to the revealing outfit Lilith was wearing. She doubted there was any amount of milk that will give her a figure like Lilith's. Envy aside, she still couldn't figure out the pull she had felt since meeting the ruler.

"I doubt we'll be forgetting anytime soon." Jaune then slapped his face to regain focus. He could think about the castle full of hot and attractive Faunus women once he figured out where they were. Time to put his leader face on.

"Ruby, how about you search the room a bit, maybe we can try and find out what Lilith could want." Jaune offered as he pulled out his scroll. "I'll see about calling Beacon and trying to see where we are."

"Right, that sounds like a good idea. There might be some clues here. It weird that out of all the places to have us she chose this place, someone's bedroom" Ruby said in agreement.

As the two separated to search the large room, Ruby and Jaune began their searches while making sure not to alert the women they knew were standing guard on the other side of the bedroom door.

Jaune opened his scroll and tried to make a call to his team only for the call to fail. After the third failure, Jaune checked his scroll to make sure it wasn't damaged from their disastrous ship ride only to see he didn't have service.

That was odd. Even if they weren't near any of the main kingdoms with the main CCT towers they should be able to make calls with help of the support towers towns had outside the main cities. It wasn't like they could be that far from Vale. The only way to have zero signals was if a tower was taken down.

Frustrated at the uselessness of his scroll, Jaune decided to take a look out the lone window to try and get a look of where they were. The outside should at least give them some clue. If they had hypothetically somehow ended in some royal estate in Atlas the snow would be a dead giveaway.

While Jaune was in the middle of his scroll plan, Ruby went ahead with the direct job of checking the dresser for any clues. Deciding that she might be able to find something in the drawers, Ruby opened the first one only to immediately slam it back closed.

"Did you find anything Ruby?" Jaune said, jumping at the sudden noise, in the process of opening the curtain when he was interrupted.

"Nothing!" Ruby squeaked back, red in the face. Checking a few more drawers the red rose was just greeted with more of the same things. Revealing, lacy women's undergarments, and many other things she was now trying hard to unsee.

"Wherever we are sure is fancy. I can't imagine what the rest of this place must look like." Jaune said as he opened the window.

Immediately his jaw dropped as he was greeted by the moon. A full unshattered moon shining bright red in the star-filled sky. Down below he could see the bright lights of the town a small distance from the castle.

"Yeah…" After Ruby's blush faded from her recent discovery she looked around again and saw the pictures on top of the dresser.

As she went to inspect them she saw some of them had images of Lilith surrounded by many similar-looking younger girls, all of them inheriting things like her white wings and tail with small differences here and there. Lilith's Daughters, Ruby guessed as some of them looked like younger copies of Lilith.

As she looked around, a lot of the pictures showed one girl in particular. She shared Lilith's silver hair but much shorter, only reaching her shoulders and fading into red at the tips. She was surrounded by Lilith and eight other similar looking girls. However, what really grabbed Ruby's attention were the girl's eyes. A pair of bright silver eyes staring back at her.

After hearing Ruby go quiet, Jaune snapped out his trance and walked over to her. Reaching the girl, he saw she was mesmerized by the picture she was looking at. Taking a closer look, Jaune was surprised at the similarities the silver-eyed girl had with Ruby.

"I thought you said you didn't know her. If this one dyed her hair she could be your twin." Jaune said, comparing the girl in the photo to his best friend.

"I don't, I have no clue what this is. This girl looks just like me, but…" Picking up one of the frames, against Jaune's warnings, Ruby removed the picture hoping to find a name for the silver-haired lookalike.

Freeing the photo, Ruby turned it around as if the secrets of Remnant were tied to the picture. There on the back was a name, a name that Ruby froze in shock.

"Ruby?" Jaune placed a concerned hand on the girl's shoulder, snapping her out of her shock.

Looking from her friend and back to the photo, Ruby read the name again. "It's…"

"Summer Rose."

Turning around, the two saw that the voice came from Lilith who had just entered the room with a tray of tea. Looking at Ruby, she could see the picture that Ruby was holding in her hands. "That is what you were going to say, were you not? The girl in that picture is Summer Rose." Lilith said again as she set the tray down on the nearby table.

"How do you know that name?" Ruby asked, slightly trembling.

"Well, I wouldn't be a good mother if I couldn't remember the names of all my children." Lilith smiled fondly as she looked around the room. "This was actually her room you know. Once upon a time, when she wasn't running around the castle or on one of her so-called adventures she would be here bouncing along the walls. It's almost impossible for that girl to remain still." Lilith then turned to Ruby.

"Summer Rose. She was like the summer rays, shining bright like those eyes of hers. Eyes just like my darling. Eyes just like yours."

"Mother? Sum…Mom was your daughter?" Ruby said, almost in disbelief. "Then that would mean, you're my grandma?"

"Your grandma?" Jaune also asked in surprise. The beautiful woman standing in front of them, a woman who looked the same age as Professor Goodwitch if not younger was Ruby's grandmother.

"Yes, I am," Lilith said with a motherly smile on her face as she gestured for the two to join her at the table. As they sat down she was already at work pouring a cup for the duo before pouring her own. "You seem surprised. We Rose women are known for aging gracefully." Lilith chuckled as if she remembered a good joke.

That was an understatement. The woman hardly looks like she had even hit her thirties yet and here she is saying she's a grandmother. There were Huntresses who looked good in their own age due to their aura and then there was Lilith.

Enjoying their stunned faces as she enjoyed her drink, Lilith then spoke again. "I should be the one surprised. Not that I am not happy to know Summer had an adorable child, but the spell that was performed was meant to summon my wayward daughter here. Not my granddaughter."

"Wait wait, a spell? Like magic? But magic doesn't exist." Jaune said while Ruby stared at Lilith.

"I assure you; magic certainly does exist and is very real," Lilith said as she drank from her cup. "It is a wonder why you would say that. Is magic not as well known or as plentiful in your realm?"

"Hold on, before that, are you really my grandma. Sorry, but it's just…" Ruby struggled as she tried to find the right words as she had many questions. Why did Lilith look so young? If the picture was her mother, why was her hair white and black? Why has she never heard of her before?

"I'm sure you must have many questions Ruby. Take your time. That is why we are here." Lilith calmed the girl down. "Allow me to start with a simple one. How have you not heard of me? It is a bit disconcerting that Summer never spoke of her family. Or that I was never told she had a daughter. As hands-off as I tend to be when they grow older, I try to stay very much involved in all my daughters' lives."

"Well…" Ruby looked away, staring down at her tea. Something inside her told her that Lilith spoke the truth. About Summer and everything so far. It would explain the pull she was feeling towards Lilith ever since meeting her. As if something was calling to her.

"I haven't really heard anything about any relatives, nothing from Dad at least. As for Mom, she passed away when I was very young." Ruby admitted.

This surprised the two. For Jaune, he was surprised because he had learned something personal and important to the young huntress.

For Lilith, Jaune was sure the monarch was surprised for a more obvious reason. He didn't know what reaction to expect from Lilith, but the woman's shock was soon replaced with a calm look as she placed her cup down.

"I should have guessed. You even carry Summer's broach on your belt. It would make sense why you were brought here instead of your mother if she is no longer with us." Lilith spoke solemnly as she then stood up from her seat. Walking over to the two, she surprised them with her next action as she pulled Ruby into a comforting hug.

"I'm sorry if I brought up any painful memories. Remembering her must be painful. I'm sorry I wasn't able to be a part of your life along with her." Lilith spoke as she held Ruby to her chest.

"It's all right," Ruby spoke as she began to melt into the hug as she put her arms around the woman. The warmth she was feeling reminding her of happy times long ago. The warmth she had felt from her own mother. "It's not all painful. Mom was, is, the best mom ever. A super mom. She was a super huntress who helped out everyone she could."

"That certainly sounds like Summer," Lilith said, patting Ruby on the head as she began to tear up.

"Mom was the best. It's why I want to become a huntress too. To become closer to her and follow her footsteps." Ruby added, with small tears in her eyes.

A few moments later, Lilith released the girl and smiled. "I guess a huntress must be what you call heroes where you are from. You definitely have a hero's spirit. Much like Summer did. It's something you both inherited from my husband."

As the two roses bonded, Jaune remained silent and watched on with a smile on his face. Young as she may look, Lilith definitely reminded him of his more doting relatives back at home. While there are a lot of questions to be asked, none of that mattered right now as a family was united in who knows how long. Coming from a big and close family himself, Jaune was content on allowing Lilith and Ruby to bond over their memories of Summer.

Soon the hug ended and tears were dried as the two separated. A smile on both Ruby and Lilith's faces as the ruler returned to her seat. Remembering where they were and what they were here for Ruby was the first one to break the silence.

"So do I call you Lilith or Grandma? Your Majesty?" Ruby nervously asked.

"While I am all right with Grandma, Lilith is also fine. I am not much for formality amongst family." Lilith smiled.

Ruby let out a breath of belief. "Well, that makes this easy. Um, so back to our questions, you were trying to bring Mom here. Why is that?"

"And also where is here?" Jaune added as he got Ruby's attention and pointed out the window leading her eyes to the blood-red moon. "It looks like we're far ways from Vale."

"Vale?"

"The Kingdom of Vale. It's where we were before we ended up beamed here by accident." Ruby answered the monarch.

"Vale must be a kingdom in your realm as there is no such kingdom here with that name." Lilith said, surprising the two. "As for where you are and why you are here? Why I was trying to bring Summer here? Those two questions are connected." Lilith pulled their attention back to the red moon.

"Where you are is Castle Rose in the Royal Makai. It is what humans would call a Demon Realm, a realm where many species that are not human, such as myself, reside."

"Demon Realm, like the stuff with monsters in fairy tales? And what do you mean you're not human? Aren't you a Faunus Grandma?" Ruby asked, wanting to know more about Lilith and through her possibly Summer.

"Monsters would be what some would call us. I prefer the term, Mamono. I like to use it as a way to distance us from the monsters of the past." Lilith insisted as she corrected Ruby. "As for what we are Ruby. I do not know what a Faunus is, but we are Succubus."

"Succubus?" Jaune repeated his face slightly pink as he remembered certain stories about Succubus.

"Isn't that the…things from filthy stories?" Ruby asked, blushing as well.

At the mention of 'filth,' Lilith just smiled as she patted Ruby's head. "Aren't you just precious? Yes, mistresses of temptation, women of men's dreams, seekers of pleasure and desire. I'm sure your realm has a collection of stories of our kind. Summer was a Lilim, one of my daughters and a Succubus of great power. Powers I'm sure you have inherited."

"M-me? I-I don't think I can be one of those Lilim things! I haven't even kissed a guy! I'm only fifteen!" Ruby waved her eyes, her face matching her namesake at the realization of what her mother and grandmother are.

"Ah, truly a shame," Lilith said, ignoring the internal breakdown Ruby was having. "Despite what you may believe Ruby, you inherited more from your mother than just looks. Something from your realm must have prevented you from reaching your full maturity. Nothing a day's rest here won't easily fix.

"Maybe we shouldn't talk about that right now." Jaune said, trying to save Ruby before she could die from all the blood rushing to her face. "Lilith, ma'am, you were trying to bring Summer here but ended up bringing Ruby. Is it because of something important?"

"That is correct. The reason why I was trying to contact Summer was to choose from amongst my family who to become my heir. The one to take the throne of the Demon World." Lilith answered casually as if she didn't drop a big bomb of information on the two hunters-in-training.

"Wait, take the throne?! As in becoming the next ruler of a world of Mons…Mamono like you and Mom?!" Ruby asked. "And what do you mean by full maturity?!"

"Ruby, one thing at a time," Jaune said trying to calm the small redhead down. He then turned to Lilith. "From the pictures that we saw, you must have plenty of children to choose from. Why Ruby's Mom specifically? And if I can ask, why the hurry for an heir? You don't seem to have any problems ruling now." Jaune asked, thankful to still have his leader mask to prevent him from putting his foot in his mouth.

"You flatter me, young knight." Lilith said, very amused at how much the blond was trying to steer clear of the topic of age. "It is true; age is not much of a factor for me as a ruler. However the threats in this world are many. I do not have time to go over the specifics, but my reasoning for choosing an heir now is to make sure the order I have built will be maintained in case something were to happen to me." Lilith answered seriously before taking a small sigh.

"Of all of my daughters, Summer was the best one to take the throne. I love all of my daughters equally, but most of them would rather focus more on pleasure with their own men than worry about the position of Mamono Lord."

"And by pleasure you mean…?" Ruby cautiously asked, not sure she had the right idea of what Lilith was talking about.

"Simply put, they are more interested in playing and making love with their husbands," Lilith said as she smiled sadly, ignoring the deep red faces of Ruby and Jaune. "I cannot fault them for that. It is natural for us due to our nature as Succubus, demonesses of lust. I was once like that many years ago until I met my one and only. It was through our union and his help that I would take the throne. And he has blessed me with many children. The earliest being my Lilim, a mix of light and darkness." Lilith explained as she thought back to her past fondly all while leaving the two stunned.

Jaune was the first to regain composure. Quickly clearing his mind of any 'filthy' thoughts as Ruby would say as he thought back to something Lilith had brought up earlier.

"Um, earlier when you said that a full rest here would 'fix' Ruby, what do you mean by that? Just out of curiosity." Jaune asked, snapping Ruby out of her stupor as she was also wondering what Lilith meant about maturity earlier.

"Does that maturity stuff have to do with the wings and tail, and why Mom has white hair in that picture?" Ruby asked.

"Yes, it does. When Summer went missing, I had assumed she had just traveled to a different realm on another wild adventure. From what I can sense from you two, that may not be the case. It's almost as if Summer had vanished to another world. A world without mana." Lilith thought to herself, taking a moment longer to collect her thoughts before answering the two's question.

"As I said, a simple night here would be enough to help Ruby reach full maturity. The environment where Ruby grew up may have stunted her full succubus DNA. That problem does not exist here. All around us is a power known as mana. It is even in the very air here we breathe." Lilith began to explain. "Even now I'm sure Ruby is absorbing it unconsciously. That mana will slowly awaken the dormant power within her and soon transform her to become just like her mother."

"And when she does…'mature' and becomes a Succubus. She's not going to lose her mind or something crazy like that right?" Jaune asked in concern.

That caused Ruby to stop and think. She didn't really consider what all the changes could mean for herself. All she wanted was to become closer to her mother and her new family. Would it really be worth it if she stopped being herself?

"No, it won't be that drastic," Lilith said, hoping to brush away any concerns Ruby might be having as well as any worries Jaune had for his friend and her granddaughter. "Unlike the age of the previous Demon Lords, those converted now still keep much of their original personalities and quirks. There is the chance the newly converted Mamono will be overwhelmed by their new instincts but at least now they won't lose their human memories."

"Was it really such a terrible time before you became the ruler?" Ruby asked.

"Little Rose, the age of the previous lords were terrible times. An age of endless wars between humans and what were originally monsters, an age of bloodshed and loss, a period of time I would hope not be repeated if something happened to me." Lilith answered. "It is why I was looking for Summer. To have a candidate that would not seek to upset this delicate balance I have put in place."

"That would be bad," Ruby said softly. "Besides the ones who don't want to rule, would there actually be people who would become ruler and break that balance? Someone who would start wars or do something worse just because you don't have an heir?"

"Not everyone is happy with this age of peace Ruby," Lilith said, letting out a small sigh. "As much as I put efforts to move towards a world where there would be no bloodshed. A world where all can live together happily, there are forces with more radical views."

"The Chief God and her followers, along with their 'chosen' heroes who want to purify the world and eradicate all monsters. Mamono who desire the old ways of the world and ransack and pillage villages while stealing all the men they came across. Clans who wish to usurp me to restore the age of old." Lilith listed off several examples for the two. "There are those with their views on how the world should be run. Many who don't agree with the path of peace I wish to pursue."

"But why would anyone want to do that?" This time it was Jaune who asked. "If the world is much more peaceful if people and Mamono don't have to fight each other then why change things? You said heroes actually hunt down and kill monsters here? So far, everyone, I've seen in your castle act like normal civilized people. I don't see how anyone could hunt them."

'It wasn't like monsters or Mamono were mindless creatures of destruction like the Grimm. Wherever we are, monsters seemed to be just a bunch of women going about their normal lives. Sure succubi could be…lustful, but it's not like they steal your soul or anything bad like some stories say.' Jaune thought to himself.

"And thoughts like that, unfortunately, do not exist within followers of the Chief God," Lilith said, happy to see Jaune had a positive opinion towards Mamono. "Their radical views aside, they aren't without reasons. Not all Mamono are as civilized as you put it. We all seek humans still, but for different reasons compared to the ages of old."

"And those reasons?" Jaune asked, nervous at the smile Lilith was giving him.

"Do you remember the orders I gave to those maids to relay to the rest of the castle?" Lilith asked him.

"That we were honored guests in your castle?" Jaune said, trying to remember all that Lilith had said in their first meeting.

"And that you and Ruby were not to be harassed and harmed. I care for Ruby's safety, of course, she is my granddaughter. However, that order was mostly meant for your safety." Lilith clarified as while pointing at Jaune.

"Jaune's safety? What do you mean? Is he in danger?!" Ruby asked, moving closer to Jaune's side.

"It's something you two must understand. In the past, a monster's instincts lured them to humans in order to devour them. In this age, Mamono are much different. The instincts have been altered into seeking their ideal mate." Lilith explained making Ruby and Jaune realize what could have happened if not for Lilith's orders. "While there are civil ways some go about that, others are much more aggressive. If you interest them, they would simply steal you away, drag you to their dens, and have their way with you. Some would keep you as their loving husband, others to keep as a slave, a tool by which they breed. While my staff isn't like that, it doesn't mean they're above seducing you to pull you towards their beds Mr. Arc."

Those words seemed to scare Jaune speechless. While too many boys back at Beacon may sound like a dream come true, he didn't like the thought that he could be dragged away by a random girl just because they found him attractive in some way or was just desperate for any man they came across.

As Jaune's mind seemed to go blank from this new information, he never noticed Ruby had begun to latch onto his arm with a defiant look on her face.

"That won't happen! Jaune's a pretty good fighter back we're from. And even then, I'm here to help watch his back!" Ruby said boldly, unconsciously pulling Jaune's arm closer into her own budding chest.

'There's no way I'm letting some random filthy hussies take my Jaune away! Wait, my Jaune? Where did that come from? Nevermind, it just means I'm not letting any unworthy filth touch Jaune. Bet on that!' Ruby thought to herself. Ready and willing to put a scythe between her and anyone who wishes to take Jaune away.

"I believe you Ruby," Lilith said, smiling knowingly. "Still, better safe than sorry. Many here won't bother Jaune if they believe he is taken. This is why you two will share this room during your stay, you and your husband."

"Husband?!" Again that word came up, snapping Ruby out of her protective fit as she noticed just how close she had pressed next to Jaune. Quickly letting the appendage go as if it was a hot iron, this action also snapped Jaune out his trance as Ruby pointed at Lilith. "No no, I think you still misunderstand! We're just friends! Best friends, Besties! We're too young to be married! I'm too young to be married!"

"Really? You don't seem that young. Here it is normal for girls of fourteen and fifteen to be wedded." Lilith said in confusion. "I see you two carry weapons at your sides, meaning you both must be warriors." Her attention moved to both Crescent Rose and Crocea Mors. "It is normal for those old enough to fight to be old enough to marry. And from how close you have been acting I had assumed you two were a pair."

"Well, Remnant is…different, very different!" Jaune said, finally speaking for the first time in a while. This world was making his mind spin more and more the longer she thought about it. "Even then, we're both students at a huntsmen academy and even there Ruby isn't of legal age to marry anyone." He tried to explain the differences between the laws they had compared to Lilith's.

Some kingdoms believe those who chose to devote their lives to fighting the Grimm were old enough to be considered legal. However, that line of thinking was one of the reasons why academy recruiting ages was seventeen; so that any potential huntsmen would hopefully be old enough and mature to make their decisions before being handed adulthood.

"Plus Ruby is a great friend and an incredible huntress! She's sweet, adorable, brave, super-fast, and a wonderful friend! She can do so much better than some guy like me." Jaune added.

"Jaune…" Before Ruby could say anything to the insecure boy, Lilith had beaten her to it.

"You don't give yourself much credit," Lilith said, staring directly at Jaune. "Answer me honestly Jaune. Can you tell that you have honestly never felt attraction to Ruby in any way?"

Lilith's question lingered in the air. Enough for both Jaune and Ruby to grow increasingly flustered. Enjoying their expressions, the Mamono Lord decided to continue. "Ruby may not have matured yet but she is well on her way. She has her mother's cuteness and that will soon blossom into her mother's beauty. Summer was always a much desired Lilim. I say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

"Well, I…It's not that Ruby isn't cute. I mean, of course, she's cute and perfect the way she is. She's only going to get better. I mean…!" Jaune continued to flounder with his words. Still not sure what to say or how he felt.

"If that really is such a problem for you two," Lilith's words grabbed the two teens' attention. "I can place you in your own room with another girl in the castle. I'm sure there plenty who wouldn't mind becoming a bride to a sweet boy like you."

"NOOO!"

In a blur of rose petals, Ruby had slammed back into Jaune. This time instead of just grabbing his arm, she also sat on his lap. Holding his arm tight, Ruby gave Lilith no words as she just glared at Lilith.

This action seemed to have the opposite effect as this seems to leave Lilith laughing at the display of affection.

"What's so funny?" Ruby pouted, still holding firm in her position, much to Jaune's embarrassment.

"Nothing much, but you really are very much like Summer. So possessive. I'm sure she would have defended the one she wanted to marry with such ferocity as well."

Ruby's face lit up as she realized what she did. Essentially she had just tried to argue with a monarch, even if she was family, to stop her from setting up her best friend with a random girl instead of herself.

Seeing her worry and confusion, Lilith attempted to allay her fears. "Do not worry Ruby. That was simply part of your Mamono instincts. You are still young. You have time to gather your thoughts before you make a decision on marriage."

"Ok, so is there a way we can go back to Remnant? Back to where we came from?" Jaune asked, causing the succubus to look his way. "Before that though, we at least need time to think. About how we can help you with your heir problem."

"What?" Lilith asked in surprise.

"I saw the look on Ruby's face when you were talking about the problems with finding an heir. It's obvious she wants to help, even if it means she becomes that heir." Jaune said, surprising Ruby by how much Jaune had guessed correctly. "Still, even though she wants to help and I would be right there to help her, it's a really big deal."

"Of course," Lilith said, still a bit stunned at the young knight's words. "While the summons wasn't specifically for you, Ruby does have the ability to become a candidate to become my heir. Even then you are right; this is a large decision to make Ruby." The succubus queen then locked eyes with Ruby. "I plan to have your lineage known throughout my castle regardless of your decision. I just don't want you to feel like I'm forcing you to inherit Summer's burdens."

Ruby stayed silent as she thought about all that Lilith had told her. To work towards a peaceful world, one where everyone could have a happily ever after. That was the wish she had when she chose to become a huntress. Still, ruling a kingdom was different than fighting mons…Grimm on the front lines. It was a major responsibility she would have to take.

Seeing Ruby keep silent concerned Jaune, but he knew she was thinking about a lot. So he only placed a comforting hand in her hair. This grabbed her attention as she saw him look to Lilith.

"So…just a night here will turn Ruby into a Succubus, or I guess a Lilim like you?"

"Would that be a problem?" Lilith asked calmly.

"Of course not. A little thing like wings and a tail wouldn't change what Ruby is." Jaune answered honestly. "I have a few Faunus friends back home and I don't treat them differently from any other friends. As far as I'm concerned, Ruby is still the same adorkable Craterface I pulled out of that hole the first day of school."

As Jaune spoke, Ruby stayed silent. Her face matched her hood as she lied against his chest, absorbing his warmth despite the piece of armor between them. Still not letting go of his arm, she let out a small laugh after hearing the end of Jaune's answer.

"Love you too Vomit Boy." Ruby smiled as she snuggled into her spot against his chest.

Lilith gave the two a satisfied and genuine smile. One that didn't have any of the playfulness she had before. "Well Jaune, you certainly are a keeper. Whatever your relationship with Ruby ends up being, she is very lucky to have you."

"Thank you, your majesty." Jaune smiled back.

"Lilith is just fine young man. Unless we're with company I care little for titles. And there is also a chance you'll become family one day." Lilith winked as she then stood up. "Take this time to rest and to think things over before making a decision. As for getting you two a path home, it'll take some time for my magic experts to create a more stable way back to your Remnant. For now, you two have much to think about. I shall have some food delivered here soon."

"Is it really all right for us to stay in this room?" Ruby asked, seeing her grandmother about to leave. "Isn't Mom's room important to you? There must be another spare room we can stay in."

"It is fine Ruby. The room is important but it now belongs to you as much as it belongs to your mother." Lilith reassured her worried granddaughter. "She was about your age when she stopped using it in her pursuit of adventure. I'm sure she will have no problems with you and your husband using it."

"He's not my husband!" Ruby shot back reflexively.

Lilith could only laugh as she left as even with that, Ruby didn't leave her perch on top the Arc. Giggling on her way out, Lilith closed the door leaving the two alone in the room.

Only then, after another few minutes of awkwardness, did Ruby and Jaune separate from each other. Both of them were blushing, although Ruby immediately missed the warmth she felt from being held by the older boy.

She also missed what she felt Jaune was hiding underneath the baggy hoodie. He was starting to become pretty well toned. Pyrrha Nikos' training sessions did wonders.

"Well…that was a thing," Jaune said, helping to lighten the mood after the moment they just had.

Was it weird of him that he was already missing the feeling of the cute red reaper pressed up against him? The faint smell of strawberries that lingered off the girl he caught when her head was tucked into his shoulder. The feeling of her soft thighs pressed up agai-OK, those thoughts were starting to get out of control.

Ruby wasn't doing much better. While she was thankful of Jaune for living up the mood, it still didn't stop her from seeing her bestie in a different light. Seeing the knight as something more than just the best friend she had. The best friend, who happened to share several of the same interests, was always proved to be reliable, and if what her free hand could tell had a great swor-.

"You okay Ruby?"

"Yep! I'm fine. Totally fine! Not thinking of anything Yang might be thinking of!" Ruby waved off Jaune's worries quickly as she tried to get the blood to leave her cheeks. She needed a distraction, now.

"I'm going to look around the room. It is, was, Moms. I want to know what kind of life she had before she came to Remnant."

"Sure, go ahead. I'll give you some privacy." Jaune said as he remained in his seat while Ruby dashed away to explore her mom's old bedroom. While he was curious, he'd rather leave Ruby alone to go through Summer's various belongings.

"So, your Mom was a princess. That makes you a princess too. Well, more of a princess than Weiss now." Jaune said.

"Heiress. Weiss gets mad when she gets called that." Ruby absentmindedly said as she looked through the rest of the various pictures and trinkets that her mother had decorated on her dresser. "Wow, to think there was a whole other side of my Mom that I didn't even know existed. A whole entire family and even a world I didn't know about until today."

"And now, I have to make a decision that could decide its future." Ruby said softly as she held up a small gold tiara she found.

"It's your choice to make Ruby. Lilith said she didn't want to force you into being a replacement for your Mom." Jaune reminded her. "Still, if we possibly can't go back are you considering staying?"

"This is my mother's world. It wouldn't feel right letting it all collapse or fall corrupt if I can do anything to stop it. It's the same reason why I want to become a huntress. To help people." Ruby said, reminding him of her goals.

"I get that, but ruling a whole entire world is different than just fighting back the Grimm. Completely different." Jaune said, thinking about all the burdens that would be placed on Ruby if she chose that path.

"Then…would you stay with me and give me a hand?"

That question really surprised Jaune as he looked up to see Ruby standing in front of him.

"Would you really want someone like me?" Jaune answered with his own question. Here he was, unsure of the whole situation. He was still unsure if he could step up and be a good team leader. And now here he is with Ruby, who herself was essentially unsure whether to become the next ruler of an entire world of monsters or go back to her path of becoming a huntress, who was asking him to help her if she chose to stay.

"Why wouldn't I?" Ruby shot back with her own question as she moved away from Jaune and went towards the closet. "You're an awesome guy Jaune. You might not think so, but you have come a long way. I might not be able to do this alone, but with you, I think we can do this. Besides, it's not like we'll be stuck here! If they can bring us here from Remnant, then maybe they can create a way to come back and forth. All our friends can help us out too. But before that, I need your help. Have another awesome leader to bounce ideas off you know?"

"I guess I could…" Jaune looked down and then clenched his fist.

"I mean, yeah. Yeah, I'll help out." Even if he was still unsure, he couldn't exactly leave his bestie alone in all of this if she had that much faith in him. What kind of person leaves their bestie alone with a possible world-ending burden?

"Perfect!" Ruby said happily. "We're already some of the students in the leaders' classes in Beacon! Imagine all we can do leading a kingdom to peace with everyone's help. Maybe we'll be able to bring peace to Remnant too! Grandma said something about magic before, what if we could bring that back?! What if becoming a Lilim allows me to do magic?! I can become some kind of Super Huntress!"

Ruby's excitement never faded as she opened the door and dived into her mother's large and expansive closet. Lilith did say her mother was around her age before she stopped using the room anymore. Time to see if she and her mother had any similar tastes.

"Hey slow down! We should probably get everyone's inputs first before dragging them into politics or anything even crazier!" Jaune called out to the younger rose. Not hearing a word from Ruby, a concerned Jaune stood up and walked towards the closet.

"Ruby?" Jaune called out again, wondering what happened to the reaper. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, it's just…"

At this time Ruby walked out of the closet with two things in hand. One of them was an outfit similar to what Lilith was wearing. The other was slim, almost see-through red baby doll lingerie. Red in the face, Jaune could say nothing looking over to Ruby only to see she had a similar expression.

"I guess these are the kind of clothes people here wear?" Ruby said nervously.

"Oh my! If you two need privacy we can leave your meals and quickly leave."

Jumping at the new voice, Ruby and Jaune turned to the door to see a new pair of maids arriving with a few trays of food. As they set the trays down on the table, they never took their smiling faces off the embarrassed looks of the duo. "Would you require more time to consummate your marriage, Lady Ruby?"

"Um, we, I…" had crashed at that moment. Steam was rising off her ruby red cheeks as she was now caught holding lingerie in front of a boy. Failing to articulate thoughts, she turned to her lifeline. "Um, help?"

"I…don't think we're married…by whatever standards there are here." Jaune slowly answered, trying to help the younger girl. "You're not going to do anything to me? Right?"

"Lord Arc, are you suggesting that we lowly maids are greater than a Succubus of the royal family?" One maid asked as she sauntered up to him.

"Is the fact that you're Lady Ruby's husband a lie? If so, I wouldn't mind warming your bed tonight, Lord Arc." The other maid asked, curious about the blond as the Succubus moved closer much like her coworker.

Only for the two to see Ruby suddenly grab Jaune and position herself between them and the maids. The lingerie lying forgotten on the bed as silver eyes glared at the maids as she stood to protect and defend her bestie/fellow leader/possible crush. The glare only caused the maids to smile knowingly as they backed away with their arms up in surrender.

"We'll take our leave. We've taken up too much of your honeymoon as is."

"I recommend the outfits tucked away in the closet to the right. Those are more of Lady Summer's more pleasurable sleepwear. I can tell you two have similar measurements."

"We're not…will you two just leave already!" Ruby yelled, now tired of having to repeat herself and now just wanting the two she-devils to leave so that she can have some peace. And not watch the two make filthy eyes at her crus-bestie!

Their comments had ended but their teasing smiles remained as they followed Ruby's orders. Before leaving, the two stopped to make sure the food and refreshments were properly delivered before exiting the room.

Once they were gone, Ruby let out a long exhausted sigh before dropping to the ground.

"Seriously what is wrong with everyone here?"

"Who knows?" Jaune said as he helped Ruby to her feet. "For some reason, everyone seems so…" Jaune stopped, trying to think of the best words to use to explain to the innocent Ruby.

"Horny?" Ruby offered her thoughts, only to stare tiredly at the shock look on Jaune's face. "I'm fifteen, not five. I know all about sex and all that. Did you forget who I'm teamed with? Blake sometimes leaves her filth around."

"Ok…" Jaune said, trying to think of a way to steer the conversation from the awkward subject. "Anyway, I wonder why there aren't any guys walking around."

Ruby mostly ignored his words and went to pick up the clothes she had dropped in her possessive frenzy. Filthy as they were, they belonged to her mother so she wanted to take care of them.

"Did Mom really wear this stuff? It's so…"

Ruby was unsure of what to say as she placed the clothes back. She did step out to look at Jaune remembering how he reacted when she first showed him the lingerie and it felt good for some reason. It was like she wanted Jaune to see her as a more than just innocent, adorable Ruby. It felt a bit weird wanting to show Jaune a more 'filthy' side of her, though it also felt right.

"Risqué?" Jaune offered, receiving a nod from Ruby before she dove back into the closet in search of anything more interesting than clothing.

This time she found something that definitely interested her and followed a gleam that leads her to a sword.

"Hey Jaune, look at this!" Ruby called out as she left the closet, bringing the sword with her. A bright smile covering the girl's face as her eyes sparkled. "This might have been the kind of weapon Mom used here!" Pulling the sword out, she inspected it as she showed the blade to Jaune. "It's kind of like your weapon. A nice classic!"

"It's a little different Ruby. Huh, it doesn't look like it mechashifts." Jaune said as he also examined the sword. Looking it over, he could tell that this was a weapon to be used in battle and not a decorative piece. "Does your mother use swords, Ruby?"

"Kind of, only her weapon was much cooler." Ruby said as she returned the sword to its scabbard. "First magic, monsters, and now classic weapons. Grandma did say Mom loved to travel. It's like this world came straight out of Oum's Odyssey!"

"Before you go all weapons crazy, how about we eat before dinner gets cold." Jaune said, reminding Ruby of the food. "We did kind of skip dinner on the way out to Vale."

A rumble coming from her stomach reminded Ruby of that as well as she placed the sword against a wall as she joined Jaune at the table. There was a small concern they both shared about what kind of food that was prepared for them only to be shown a normal, though fancy, dinner platter. Tasting their dinner, Ruby was glad that it tasted no different than food on Remnant. Just served to them in a way she was sure Weiss was familiar with.

It was a nice and quiet dinner. At least until they reached the hidden dessert supposedly made by Lilith herself. Lifting the cover off the plate, a familiar smell of sweets caused Ruby to rocket from her chair and dive into freshly baked cookies.

Before Jaunce could say anything, Ruby was already taking her first bite of the chocolate chipped treasure only to stop as the taste hit her. Jaune was worried that there was something wrong, like the cookies were poison, only to see Ruby tear up as she continued eating.

"These tastes exactly like the cookies Mom would make." Ruby said, lost in nostalgia.

"Really?" Jaune asked as he looked down at the plate. Taking a cookie himself, he took a bite and his eyes widened at the taste. "These are really good."

"Right?" Ruby asked, quickly going through her fifth cookie. "I'll never forget the taste of Moms cookies. They were the first things I learned how to bake, though mine aren't nearly as great." As she enjoyed her dessert, Ruby continued to wonder how much more she could learn about her mother and Lilith.

"I know we really should find a way to talk to everyone back at Beacon and tell them we're okay but I really want to know more about this place, the world that Mom came from."

"I understand Ruby." Jaune said, reassuring her. "It's not like we're going to find a way back to Remnant tonight anyway. While Lilith finds a way to at least let us send a message back, we can take our time and you can learn more about your Mom."

Ruby nodded at Jaune's words and smiled as the two finished the rest of the cookies. After they had finished their dinner, a pair of maids came to the room and took the dishes and trays with them as they left. Now tired and full, Ruby let out a yawn as she walked over to the large bed. "Guess we should get some sleep and see if we can get word back to the teams tomorrow."

"Sleep, right, of course." Jaune said before a thought came to him. Lilith had said that they would be staying the night in this room. A room that as far as he knew had only one bed, a bed that could easily fit four people but still there was one bed and two of them. Looking around to see his options, Jaune decided to move to a free corner of the room. "I guess I'll just sleep on the floor or something."

"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.

"Ruby, there's only the one bed and this is your mother's room. So it only makes sense that you take the bed while I just…sleep somewhere else." Jaune awkwardly explained. "Just because this is all for our safety doesn't mean we have to share a bed like a couple."

"Why not?" Ruby said, surprising the knight. "It's not like there isn't room. And if we really want to trick other Mamono here that you're already taken then it makes sense to share the bed."

"I can't do that, it'll be too awkward! So, I'll just sleep on the floor and-"

"Nope" Ruby said, popping the p. "You're right, this room belonged to Mom. And now it belongs to me, and I say it's okay to share the bed." Ruby countered his logic. Awkward or not, she wasn't going to let her bestie sleep on the cold floor when there was space for them both.

"Well I say I'm okay with the floor Craterface." Jaune counted back.

"Well as a team leader, I order you to share the bed with me." Ruby fired back, puffing her chest out as she refused to back down.

A move that showed her stubbornness but also brought attention to the fact that she was also quite gifted in that department. If Lilith was anything to go by, in a few years Ruby would be a rival to Yang.

"I'm a leader too. And as a leader, I'm willing to sacrifice a relaxing sleep for my best friend. Plus I'm not on your team, so I don't have to follow your orders." Jaune stubbornly reminded the girl.

"Did you forget what you said before? I am a princess now." Ruby smirked as she used Jaune's words against him. "So as princess I royally declare that your choice is invalid and that you must share the bed with me!"

"Can you even do that?"

"Don't know, don't care. My room in this castle so my rules." Ruby answered the stumped Jaune as she smiled victoriously. "As princess of the castle, I can order you to sleep in the bed lowly knight."

"Ruby you don't have to go that far." Jaune said, still embarrassed about the situation but a bit happy he wouldn't have to sleep on the ground.

"I know, but I can't have my bestie and future knight/helper of my kingdom just sleep on the floor. Now hurry up and join me. Shouldn't you be used to sharing a bed with a girl Mr. Seven Sisters?"

"This is entirely different!" Jaune insisted. There was a major difference between sharing with one of his sisters and sharing with a cute quirky girl like Ruby. Knowing Ruby wasn't going to listen to reason he walked over to the bed just as Ruby got up to go to the closet. "What are you looking for now?"

"Some clothes to sleep in. Mom should have something that fits me that I can use for tonight. I kind of don't want to sleep in my combat gear." Ruby said, reminding Jaune that they didn't have any sleepwear on them from home. As she entered inside, she stuck her head back out real quick to glare at Jaune. "I'll change in here so you better not peek!"

"I give me word as an Arc that I won't peek." Jaune promised her. He didn't want to give Yang even more reasons to kill him if she ever found out about this night.

"Good, now be a good knight and wait for your princess' return." With that, Ruby ducked back into the closet to look for anything comfortable to wear for the night.

As Ruby continued her search, Jaune decided to go to prepare for sleep. There weren't any clothes for him in the room, obviously, but he was fine sleeping in the clothes he had on. He will at least take off his armor first.

Just as he finished removing his chest plate, Jaune heard the closet door open and turned to see Ruby poke her head out.

"I think I found something, but…what is that?" Ruby asked, barely holding back her laugh as she could see what Jaune's armor had covered up.

"What, my hoodie? I've always worn this, what's wrong with it?"

"What's wron-It's got a cute little bunny rabbit!" Ruby laughed, pointing at the rabbit themed mascot on Jaune's hoodie. It was all too much as she fell to the ground, unable to contain her laughter.

"It's Pumpkin Pete! You know, from the cereal!" Jaune tried to defend himself only to pause as he noticed Ruby's new outfit. "Forget about me, what are you wearing?!"

That caused Ruby to stop laughing and begin blushing as she got back to her feet. She was wearing a white risqué piece that worked well with her eyes and fair skin, yet contrasted greatly with her darker hair. It had what looked like straps covering her breasts, which could be easily moved, tied behind her neck with some frills near the buttocks. The lingerie would have been even more revealing if not for her rose themed panties.

"This was the only thing I could find that wasn't too…filthy! I didn't exactly have a lot of choices!" Ruby said, covering her chest hoping to hide them from view. Except all that did was bring even more attention to them causing Jaune to look away.

Ruby was already attractive in her ways. Still after meeting Yang and now meeting Lilith, it looked like the younger Rose was already on her way to having a figure to match theirs. All that milk Ruby drinks must have really worked wonders.

Before he could say anything, all Jaune could feel was a rush of air and rose petals fill the air as he saw Ruby had gone from the closet to the bed to hide under the covers. She was probably embarrassed to be seen in such a revealing outfit by a boy, bestie or now.

"Um…I can just sleep on the…"

"Bed! Now!" A muffled voice came from beneath the covers.

"Why not cover yourself with your cloak?"

"I'm not sleeping with my hood on! This bed has enough blankets and everything already!" This time Ruby popped her head out, still blushing red as she looked at Jaune. "Just hurry up and get ready!"

Jaune sighed as he continued to avoid eye contact with the girl as he finished preparing for sleep. Removing his shoes and hoodie leaving him in just his white undershirt, once he was done Jaune went to the bed all while not looking at Ruby.

"It looks bad on me, right?"

"No! I mean, you don't look bad at all Ruby." Smooth, Jaune thought to himself.

"Then why don't you look at me and say that?" Ruby asked, pouting from her hiding spot.

"Because if I looked any longer Yang will kill me." Jaune said as he continued to avoid looking at Ruby. Just a short time in this castle and he was already seeing his adorkable best friend as a beautiful and attractive girl more and more.

"Go ahead and tell me it looks bad! It must be if you won't look at me." Ruby said, already thinking that it was a mistake picking such an outfit. It wasn't like she was anything compared to her big sister.

"I can't, and not because you look bad." Jaune sighed as his face remained red. Already he was imagining how Ruby would look like in just two years when she's Yang's age, the thought that Ruby might soon look just like Lilith filling his head.

"It's ok, Jaune, I know I'm not pretty."

"Actually, it's because you're pretty." Jaune said, surprising Ruby as he rambled on. "Cute, brothers you're even more than that. I'm sure you can have any guy you want. Not some dork like me right?" He laughed nervously.

"A dork demon princess and a dork knight. That feels right" Ruby said as she leaned against Jaune, surprising the blond as she made him look at her. "Let's not worry about this and just get some sleep."

Staying silent, Jaune could only nod as he stared back at Ruby. The two of them soon got comfortable as best they can, the bed incredibly soft and giving them plenty of room. Still, Ruby and Jaune stayed close as they lied under the blankets. The lights had magically turned off, leaving the two blushing teens in the dark as they tried not to make the situation too awkward.

Jaune looked up at the velvet top of the bed as he tried to relax, which was tough as he could feel Ruby's chest pressed up against his back. The blond knight tried to think of anything to take his mind off things just as he felt Ruby pull him closer.

"Ruby?"

"Jaune. If I really do change, if I become some horny monster girl like some of those maids earlier would you still treat me the same." Ruby said nervously as she held the boy like he was a lifesize teddy bear.

"Of course. No matter what, you'll still be the same Ruby Rose. Killer of Grimm and lover of weapons."

"Dork" Ruby hit the boy playfully, satisfied with his answer as her frown quickly turned to a smile as she snuggled against the blond.

"Yang is going to kill me."

"I won't tell if you won't. Besides, if this place is like Oum's Odyssey then there might be a spell or special item to bring you back."

"Ha-ha" Jaune said, voicing his sarcasm. "Still it would suck if I died before I can help you make a difference here."

"Relax Vomit Boy, I promise to protect you from the big bad Yang." Ruby giggled as she petted Jaune on the head. "Can't have you dying in such an uncool way."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence." Jaune replied, making Ruby giggle more and helping to get rid of the awkward and serious atmosphere. He was glad he could help take the girl's mind off everything for the moment.

"Good night Jaune." Ruby said, nuzzling against the boy even more as she finally closed her eyes and began to rest. Her mind had pushed all her troubles aside as she focused on the comfortable warmth around her. Ruby wasn't sure if it was the fancy sheets or some secret Lilim trait she had but she could get used to sleeping like this.

"Good night Ruby." Jaune replied, deciding to forget his nervousness and focus on sleep. Ruby's presence felt more like a comfort than a hindrance as he could feel sleep begin to take over.

Eventually both Ruby and Jaune fell asleep as their first night in Castle Rose came to an end.

A.N: Hello everyone. It had definitely been a long time since I've uploaded anything and it's probably confusing why something like this has been made. This story has been planned a while ago and is only now going up with all the free time that I and a lot more people have thanks to a certain event going on. This idea is just to try something new and to also help get me back used to writing after not doing so for so long.

There are a lot of inspirations for this, but if I had to pick a few then Naruto and Lovely Monster Girls by Marshalanime along with My Abominable Monster Classmates Can't Be This Cute by Malloubaude helped a bit with planning and creating this 'wholesome' story.

To keep things short, I hope you all are staying safe and healthy. Hopefully, you like this idea that Wolfpackersson09 and I created.

Read and Review.
