Welcome every one to chapter two!
Just to remind everyone, comments are welcome, and i am still looking for Beta readers!
Virgil was on the edge of panicking, thinking rapidly, oblivious to Mir and Ashes attempts for his attention, mind running a mile a minute, as he tried to figure out what was going on.
Kanto, he wasn't familiar with the name, Ashes, and Oaks accents odd to him...close to japanese, but it wasn't, not quite. The writings on the computer terminals, at least, was Standard Unknown, like back home, but that was the only comfort…..most of the tech, from what he saw of the disassembled piece on the counter nearby, was circuit board based. Not like normal for him, cogs, gears, pipes, and mithril cabling for Aura, or Biocrystal for Psychics. Circuit boards was theorised for a long time, but abandoned, due to its fragility, and how unstable it got when exposed to aura or psychic energies, hence the old fashioned Bulb core he used, as well as the Steam, or, rarely, a Tesla core, in larger buildings…..
He seemed to be mumbling, thinking as he did, stumbling out of the bed and pacing back and forth as he did, muttering rapidly, the trapinch staying on his head as he mumbled, grumbling, as Ash watched, amused as the kid seemed to gesture in the air, seeming to be trying to make sense of things, catching the odd bit from being in a coma, accidentally dieing, or something dragging him to another universe, trying to figure out how he got there, unaware Oak was returning with a odd machine, pointing it at him, looking at the screen of it, confused as hell.
"Thats….not possible. How can a human survive crossing the Reality barrier?" Oak said, confused. Oh, he knew of the Ultra Beasts, it was the worst kept secret in the scientific community, at least amongst them. But Ultra Beasts could survive jumping realities, being as durable as a pokemon, humans weren't, unless they were being protected.
Oaks comment caught Virgils attention, making him spn around. "That...Thats not possible! Not without a Distortion craft, or a pokemon capable of shielding you as you cross the barrier!" he said, coming to the same conclusion….or a similar one. And was unaware that he had been shielded on his way over…
This quickly devolved into speculation between the two, terms and theories thrown between them as they wrote on a blackboard, Ash simply grinning, throwing out what he knew of pokemon who might be able to pull off such a feat, Virgil finally sighed, sagging as they hear his stomach growling loudly…..waking up Mir, who chittered, amused...till her belly too, growled.
"Damn… never got a chance to finish our food, huh?" He asked Mir, looking for his bag, oblivious to the lack of his jacket, as he dug in his bag...making Ash and Oak jerk back as they saw the hardtack….and smelled it… it clearly wasn't a pleasant smell... or a taste, going by the twos expressions. "What...is that…?" asked Oak, recognizing it, and hoping that wasn't what he thought. "Hardtack." Virgil said, confused as Oak took it away from them with a frown. "That is unhealthy." he said as he ushered them out, unable to pry the trapinch away from the human...but he didn't mind that much.
"Ash, can you run home and let your mother know that shes about to have guests….one will need ground type pokeblocks." he said as he pulled Virgil along, who was confused about it, and stared around in wonder at the poke around them.
Ash, being the little ball of energy, shot off, sprinting like a rattata using quick attack, appearing in the kitchen. "Mom, Mom, Mom! Professor Oaks bringing someone over! he said to make a huuuge meal! With Ground type pokeblocks!" Ash said, bouncing like the little five year old he was, despite his intelligence on pokemon. His mother smiled, but frowned, curious as to what was going on, starting up some spaghetti and pokeblocks as asked, checking the fridge for a variety of berries, hearing Ash run back to the door, dragging someone in as she heard a yelp, making her turn… and blink.
A thin looking child stood next to ash, about the same age as him, wearing only some kind of leather pants and hand made boots, oversized for his body, his upper body almost entirely looking metal short of his neck and head as he used his hands to try and pull his eye patch back on, grumbling as he wiggled it past Mir, who was Chittering, perking up at the scent of the pokeblocks, making him stumble as she lept off his head, skittering up a wall, and clinging to the wall, turning around and staring at the pot, with the base for her pokeblocks , simmering away, licking her beak hungrily as she stared at it.
Virgil sighed. "Mir, please, be patient, I know you miss having Pokeblocks, but let them cook…"
He said, shaking his head at the overzealous trapinch as she chittered happily at the food, wanting some now, but knew she had to wait. Oak seemed amused by the little trapinch, it was very energetic for its species, and quite amusing as it complained as Virgil pulled her off the wall and sat in a chair with her, making her purr as he rubbed her belly, chittering in contentment as she slowly let her head hang onto the couch as Virgil showed Ash how to make a trapinch happy…...or make it squeal in laughter as he grew a devious smirk and got a few feathers Ash handed him, making his hand spin and tickled her as Mir realised how bad of a position she was in, unable to get back at her human as he tickled her silly with the help of Ash...the moment she did flip up….
Ash and Virgil ran, laughing like little hellions as the little trapinch tore after them, chittering a warcry as she chased her human and their friend, Oak snorting as he watched them run circles around the house, Delila Ketchum only huffing as she watched the three leap over chairs, dive under couches, Mir skittering across the ceiling and trying, and failing, to land on one of the two as they split up, Ash dashing upstairs, cackling as Virgil vaulting out the window and climbing up the the gutter to the roof.
Delila shook her head and went back to the food. "why do I get the feeling that i'm not get a bit of quiet around here now?" she asked, happy Ash once more had a friend… Even if they were a little crazy…."Probably not." Oak agreed, smiling as he shook his head, in amusement.. before they head a thump, a shriek of laughter, and the sound of pounding feet as Virgil vaulted the railing and landed on the floor, Mir hot on his tail, Ash giggling as he walked down the steps, grinning as he clutched his side, the shirt a little torn…..and then Delilah spotted a feather in Mirs jaws, and snorted, as she realised Ash had been under tickle attack...a moment later, raspy laughter and a thump was heard, followed by clattering of metal as he flung his arms left and right, as Mir tickled hims side….his Metal side, slowly pulling away as she watched, confused, as Virgil slowly calmed down, coming to the same conclusion...somehow, he could feel again.
The revelation didn't last long, however, as they heard Delila call them over, as all three popped up, coming to the table, Ash bouncing in his chair, Mirs beak just sticking over the edge as she sat in another chair, Virgil sitting stock stiff, as he waited patiently. As soon as the food hit the table, Ash, Virgil, and Mir attacked, all grabbing a serving the moment it touched the table, Mir getting a equal sized portion to the rest of them, laddled into her bowl with Pokeblocks like meatballs for her spaghetti, all three practically inhaling the food, Virgil and Mir trying to at least savor the food, showing some kind of table manners, as Ash ate like a wild pokemon, to the amusement to the other two.
Oak and Delila smiled, amused at the three as they ate their fill, Mir looking sleepy...and a little messy as Virgil gently cleaned her beak with a napkin. "You really need to calm down when you eat…." he said, rubbing her head as he sighed, Oak and Delila discussing what to do later for them, as Oak had a suspicion, along with Virgil, trying to figure out a way to keep the wayward universe traveler with them...maybe a adoption was in order…
Giritina smiled, amused as it watched the two humans and poke, Mew sitting on its head, laughing as she watched the three tear around the Ketchum household, having returned Virgil and Mirs childlike spirits to them, feeling it wouldn't be fair to have them as kids again, and not enjoy it again….. that, and it made it easier for the two to be taken in by Oak and Delila…..
"They seem to be having fun, huh?" She said, happy, laying on her belly, tail flicking through the air lazily as she held her head up with her paws, some popcorn she managed to summon near her, floating as she ate some of it as they watched the antics of the trio, especially when they were trying to get Virgil to wear local clothes, somehow managing to wear a flannel with the sleeves cut off, a set of cargo jeans, and a set of boots, his core glowing through his shirt, his pokeball holster clipped to his belt, his one odd 'pokeball' clicked into it, still damaged, and under repairs, though they seemed slow, due to the parts needed.
School had been another thing that drew laughs from the two, especially Arceus when it dropped by to watch, amused as Ash and Virgil formed a brotherly bond over pokemon…..and causing some level of havok….
More then once, the bullies of the school found themselves chasing one of the two down, only to get clotheslined by a metal arm of Virgil, just as he began stretching...right behind a wall, or tripping over a foot that just so happened to be sticking out from Ash just at that moment. Virgil was a bit of a interesting influence on Ash….and that wasnt counting the many holes in the playground bored out by a angry little ground bug, when she caught them hurting someone and her human and Ash werent close….first time it happened, it terrified people when a unknown, orange poke burst from the ground, until it chased after various bullies, especially a one Gary Oak, who was abusing his pokemon knowledge of pokemon to harm or torment people….
Until Ash and Virgil used it against him, making sure they had cuddly, if wild, poke on hand to help calm people down, or just make them laugh as they watched two humans rolling around with things like rattata or pidgies, playfighting with them. The teachers called them the wild duo due to this….
Arceus snorted at that one, amused at the Chosen and their craziness, as well as how they were trying to get the other children to play with pokemon...if a bit unsuccessful, due to the fact most kids thought them over the top
"They are something else, arent they?" it said as he watched, the two...before his head snapped up, feeling something entering the distortion realm, making him concerned, Giritina drifting off slowly from view in the crystal, Mew concerned as well, as she realized it felt like it was similar to Virgils universe frequency…..whatever entered was from his realm.
Giritina stared at the craft, amused. It was not unlike those human submarines, but with two rings, one fore, one aft, the fore ring designed to split reality, the aft ring designed to seal reality behind it without harming the fabric of space, or at the least, fix it on its own.
The craft before him looked derelict, or dormant, drifting in the realm, lights off, a good chunk of its hull ripped out, it seemed, but power still dimly trummed through the craft, despite its damaged look.
The massive distortion pokemon slowly drifted closer, something about this thing setting off alarm bells in its mind, odd crystals jutting out of its hull, pulsing with psychic energy, as if they were collecting energy and sending it to a part of the ship, another crystal sending out a weak wave of psychic energy, as if searching for something, worry filling the psychic energy...as well as something…..darker….
As Giritina was about to touch the craft….the rings lit up, making him move away as the first ring set out a pulse of energy, ripping reality apart infront of it and its engines behind it ignited, pushing it through the tear in reality into reality, the second ring pulsing as it went through, sealing the tear behind it, Giritinas expression shocked and very, very worried.
Something had followed the human through….and it was likely strong enough to power a craft capable of jumping realities, even if it needed to rest between jumps.
Something was about to happen.
Just outside Pallet town, reality tore a hole, as a cigar shaped craft fell out, its engines unable to keep it in the air, its only remaining engines the ones meant for propulsion in the distortion realm, this psychic energy lashed out, trying to slow it down, but still hit the ground heard, several of the crystals jutting out of its hull breaking off as it impacted the ground, the rings torn apart, its hull creaking and breaking even more as it hit the ground, but was mostly intact.
The front of the craft creaked and groaned, crystals suddenly punching through it, before retracting, shrinking back down as they retracted, the cockpit of the craft dark, shadowed, the red lights barely illuminating the inside, a figure pulling itself up off the console before it, two lamp optics lighting up, as a grin became visible, as several more, smaller optics lit up around the main set. "I know your there…..My little Kit~" echoed through the surrounding area, scaring the pokemon in the area, not only for their own lives, but the life of the memmas kit…...
Sorry for the late update, work has been...interesting... Again, im still looking for a Beta for my story!
