The classmates of Midoriya Izuku can all agree on one thing, the green-haired cinnamon roll became their protector and united them into a family. They all had various ways that they bonded with the young teen. Whether it was playing games late at night with some of the boys, making snacks for the class after a harsh day of training, and even scolding them when they did something wrong. However, the class couldn't agree on whether the cinnamon roll was more like a dad or an older brother.
That brings us to the current discussion taking place in the common room of the 1A dorms. The class was having a heated discussion, while Midoriya was training in the yard. This was the only time that they were free to discuss this topic because Midoriya loves to spend the majority of his time with his classmates. Fortunately, the discussion was coming to a closing argument with Hagakure Toru delivering the ending line.
"I'm just saying that a good way to put this argument to a close, would be to call Midoriya dad once, and if he freaks out, then we know he's a big brother, and if not, then 1A has a class dad." The rest of the class was silent for a moment pondering the invisible girl's argument, and no one could think of a sufficient point to argue with.
The class knew that they shouldn't press the discussion any longer because they knew if their cinnamon roll caught them arguing, especially over something that was a none issue, then they would all be scolded. The worst part was hearing the teen tell them that they disappointed him. It always brought a tear to the eye, and made the offending classmates feel awful.
"Fine... Invisalign is right. We'll call shitty Deku dad, and see how it goes." Bakugou confirmed the plan while sitting on the back of the couch. Not even a moment later, the class heard the unmistakable sound of the main door's knob turning to let in their last classmate.
When the green-haired teen's head popped into view, he had a large smile upon seeing all of his classmates in one place knowing they must be bonding or at least engaging with one another.
Midoriya loved seeing his classmates interacting with one another, especially because of how important it was for social development in was something he knew upon his research into child psychology. A subject he looked into studying after Iida's run-in with Stain and his depression from his brother's injury. After the fight with Stain and seeing how serious the villains are becoming, Mdioriya had promised himself he would help his classmates and protect them... no matter the cost.
"Hey everyone! Is there something going on?" His excited voice broke into the silence that had been created upon his arrival. He was met with a chorus of no's and nothing's. Which caused a smile. "Good. Although, Bakugou, you shouldn't sit like that. You could fall and get hurt." His statement caused the class to simultaneously stare at the explosive teen, as he grumbled and shoved Kirishima to the side to sit 'properly' on the couch.
The rest of the class looked at each other, silently asking who would be the person to do the deed. To test the waters with Mdioriya's title. Bakugou getting annoyed with everyone's frantic starring, decided to say it 'fuck it' and solve the mystery that was one everyone's minds.
"What are you doing in the kitchen now dad?" Bakugou heard Todoroki's calm collected voice beat him to it. He nodded at IcyHot and looked at the kitchen to gauge Deku's reaction along with the rest of the class.
"I was gonna try and make us some snacks, since you all seemed to be hanging out." The smile and happiness in his voice was unmistakable. Whether it was from the new nickname or from the class being together, was questionable. The class took it as a victory, some migrated to the kitchen to talk to the new class dad, while the others tried to find something on TV to watch when the snacks were done.
"What kind of snacks are you making?" Ochako asked as she made her way to the kitchen. She took a seat at one of the stools at the countertop to try and watch what he was doing.
"I was just getting crackers and slicing meat and cheese." The green-haired teen responded without looking up. "Todoroki, don't even think about trying to sneak some of those crackers." The teen added as he cut another slice of cheese. The teen in question paused in his movement of grabbing a cracker, and looked disappointed, before watching the class dad bustle around in the kitchen. "If the others have a hard time selecting something to watch, then we'll do an electoral vote." Midoriya spoke up again as he finished his cutting.
He watched as Jirou nodded at his instructions and went running over to inform the classmates that stayed on the couch. Midoriya's attention shifted to Iida who was standing next to Ochaco's stool and was quietly talking with the girl.
"Daaaaaaaaad! Kaminari isn't sharing the movie box." He could hear Mina's whine and sighed heavily.
"Iida, Ochako, can you bring the snacks over. No eating before they're set out." He could see the brunette's frown at the instructions, but that was the , he made his way to the couch area. Upon arrival, he saw Bakugou up and ready to fight Kaminari for control of the movies. Mina had a pillow ready to be thrown, and Jirou was trying to merge into the couch next to the pink girl. He cleared his throat and made a pointed face. "Mina no whining. Bakugou, remember your breathing exercises. Kaminari, if you can't share then you can go stand in the corner." Izuku could only let a small smile spread as he watched the displays.
Mina let out a quiet hmph before going to her phone. Bakugou scowled and grudgingly sat down in his spot and started his breathing exercises. They have worked on these exercises after the Kamino ward incident. Kaminari gained a wide-eyed expression and looked down at his feet. It was clear to Izuku that the dreaded corner time punishment was widely regarded as the worst punishment for his classmates to receive. He thought about taking their phones away, reflecting on their actions, and finally, apologizing to whoever had been a victim. That's when he heard a murmur, "I'll share" from Kaminari, and after Izuku nodded, he turned to his two assistants.
He frowned slightly upon seeing Todoroki grabbing a cracker from Iida's tray, who was trying to stop Ochaco from grabbing a cheese slice. He wanted to groan, but held it back for when he was alone. He never wanted this dysfunctional family to think he disliked them. Most of them needed a stable schedule, some love, and care.
"Todoroki five minutes, Ochako two minutes. Iida, please set the trays down. If everyone takes their seats, we will vote on a movie that Sato picks. I believe it should be his turn by now. If I'm wrong please correct me." He didn't hear so much as a whisper as his authoritative voice quickly dished out orders. He watched as the two teens took a spot in a corner for their allotted time. Sato happily stood up and made his way to where Kaminari had placed the movie box. He selected Ratatouille, which received a lot of praise for his choice. Izuku smiled as he took a seat on the floor and propped himself on the lower part of the couch behind him. He figured he could try and take a small nap during the video.
Those hopes could have worked out had he been tired enough to fall asleep. Although, the rest of his class didn't have trouble falling asleep throughout the movie. He shook his head before waking them up to go up to their rooms, quoting sore necks if they didn't follow his advice. Luckily, no one argued and the duties of the class dad were finished for one night.
