CHP 2: MOLLIE JOYCE

It was the first day of school and I was so excited to go to school again and see all my friends. Maybe Percy will be back! Percy is my best friend but last school year he left abruptly and I haven't seen him in 8 months. When he left I was so sad because I had a small crush on him. Anyway I got to school and met up with my friends, Logan and Sarah the two of them have been dating for almost a year when Percy was here they shipped us together but Percy always dismissed their comments. "Hey, guys, how was your summer!"

"Good!" replied Logan. Sarah looked like she was ready to burst with excitement

I looked at her questioningly and said, "Sarah you okay?"

"Percy's back!" she practically screamed in my ear.

My brain started running a thousand miles per hour with questions, where had he been? Why didn't he tell us he was going? Was he okay? I looked up and saw Percy approaching, he had changed over the last 8 months. He was taller, more muscular and all the girls at our schools seemed to agree because by the time he got to us he had already been asked out 5 times.

"Hey guys!" he said smiling, "what's up?"

"Where have you been? We haven't seen you in 8 months!" I yelled at him

"Oh I uhhh, I was visiting family in Greece I must've forgotten to tell you?" he replied questioningly as if testing to see if we would believe him.

"Cool," Sarah said enthusiastically

4 months later

Mollie's POV:

I was really starting to like Percy. He was so kind and I didn't think he was dating anyone because he never mentioned a girlfriend and he turned down everyone who asked him out. He was probably waiting for me to ask him out! Currently, Percy, Sarah, Logan and I were standing at our lockers joking around when Percy said, "Hey guys one of my friends from camp is moving to new york and is going to be going to school here starting at lunch"

"Cool what's their name?" asked Logan

Annabeth, Percy responded he got this look in his eye I had never seen before when he said her name.

Lunch

All of us were sitting around a table waiting for Percy's mystery friend to show up. I was always jealous of his camp friends because he always seemed to be closer to them than with us. It was just the way he talked about them like he would do anything for them. Anyway, I was watching the doors of the lunchroom when in walked the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. She was your basic California girl. She had blonde princess curls and tan skin that wasn't fake most girls, it was natural, like Percy's. The only thing that was different than a Cali girl was her eyes. They were a startling shade of gray that you could tell were constantly judging you seeing if you were a friend or foe. She looked around the lunchroom and stopped at our table and smiled and started walking towards us. When she got to our table she just stood behind Percy.

"Umm Percy there is a really beautiful girl standing behind you," Logan said to which he received a punch in the arm from Sarah.

Annabeth's POV:

I walked into the lunchroom after putting my stuff in my locker. I can't believe Percy and I are going to the same school. This is gonna be so much fun. I looked around until I found a familiar head of black hair. I smiled and started walking towards him. I stood behind him trying to think of what to say when Percy's friends said "Umm Percy there is a really beautiful girl standing behind you" the girl sitting next to him punched him in the arm.

Percy without turning around said, " no way there are no beautiful girls in our school" to this I smacked him in the back of the head he knows better than to say that.

As he turns around he says, "Ow what the hello-- Annabeth! Oh sorry, I guess I deserved that" he stood up and hugged me.

Mollie POV:

Who did this girl think she was? She and Percy were hugging, maybe they were just really good friends. But I thought Percy and I were good friends and we have never hugged. She sat down at the table and Percy introduced her, "Guys this is my girlfriend Annabeth, Annabeth this Mollie Sarah and Logan" he said pointing at each of us, in turn, we all greeted her and I started going into full panic mode. GIRLFRIEND?!?!? He never mentioned a girlfriend but I bet they met in the last 8 months and she doesn't know anything about him. So I decided to interrogate her. "So Annabeth how long have you and Percy been dating?" I asked.

"2 years, ever since Percy's sixteenth birthday, but I've known him since I was twelve," she said.

Ugh, I hate her. I can't believe this girl. That's it I can't sit here and watch my crush with someone else, "THAT IS IT I HATE YOU ANNABETH I DONT KNOW WHY PERCY IS WITH YOU PROBABLY OUT OF PITY FROM HOW STUPID YOU ARE ALL YOU ARE IS A DUMB BLONDE PERCY AND I DESERVE TO BE TOGETHER I LOVE HIM SO BACK OFF OKAY YOU COW GO CRY TO YOUR MAMA AND LEAVE US ALONE!" I screamed. I turned to Percy expecting him to agree but I see his eyes have fogged over he looks shocked he sits there and doesn't say anything. After a minute Logan stared at me and said, "I think you need to leave" I felt ready to cry. I had just lost all of my friends and made a fool of myself. I left and switched schools. I never saw Percy and Annabeth again.

And that's how I met Percabeth.
