The sun shinned brightly over the owl house as the time seemed to be 9 in the morning as Junior slept peacefully on the couch, hoping to sleep in a bit before he was jostled awake when he heard something breaking. Like a glass breaking. He sighed as his peaceful slumber was ruined by the only culprit he could think of.

"Dammit King! What did you get into THIS time?!" Junior said as he threw his blanket and leaned up from the couch, yawning before he got up and looked around for whatever King broke.

He headed for the kitchen and saw that King trying to break into the cupboards, banging on the doors to try and get them to open.

"What are you doing?!" Junior asked as he grabbed King by his waist and pulled him from the cabinet.

"I'm trying to get a bowl! The king of demon needs his breakfast!" King said as he struggled in Junior's grip.

"Then why didn't you ask Eda or Luz?!" Junior asked as he waked and set King on the table.

"I can get my own bowl!" King shouted back as he tried to go for the cabinet again but Junior stopped him.

"I'll get it, King! You just find what you want to eat, okay?" Junior asked him as King put him back in his original spot.

The demon groaned and cross his arms in a huff.

"Why must all of you be taller than me?!" he asked as he crossed his arms.

Junior silently chucked as he chose not to answer and he opened the cabinet, getting King a good looking bowl.

"Here. Now can you try not to break anything while I take a shower?" Junior asked as he set the bowl in front of a pouting King.

"I will smash if I feel like it!" he shouted to Junior as he uncrossed his arms and pointed at him.

"Then have fun explaining it to Eda when she wakes up." Junior said as he turn to walk to the bathroom.

King jolted at the notion of Eda anger for her broken dishes and groans in defeat.

"Always gotta bring a scythe to a fistfight, don't you?" he muttered to him.

Junior chuckled at bit as he upstairs.

"Oh, King! You could never even take me in a fist fight." He said while getting to the bathroom, entering before he hung an "occupied" sign on the door.

Discarding his old clothes and entering the show, Junior turned the dial and let the hot water run though his body as he faced the shower head.

"Ah!" he sighed in relief as he began to wash his body.

Within half an hour, he finished his shower and got some new clothes before heading back downstairs. They were exactly the same as the old pair he discarded but they were clean so it didn't matter if they looked the same.

Walking into the kitchen once again to get something to eat, Junior saw that everyone was there and eating. Luz was eating what appeared to be a normal sandwich, King was scarfing down his bowl of food, and Eda was having the usual cup of apple blood while still in her sleeping attire.

"Morning, everyone." Junior said as he went to the fridge, looking for something to eat.

"Morning, Junior." Luz said with a slightly full mouth.

"Morning, kid." Eda said as she raised her mug of apple blood.

"How's everyone doing today? he asked as he pushed some stuff in the fridge aside.

"Doing pretty well, all things considered." Eda said as she put her mug on the table, thinking back to the Covention and his reaction to Lilith being her sister. "Hey Junior, remember when I revealed Lilith was actually my sister?"

"Yeah. Why?" Junior asked as he found something to eat, a sort of strange fruit in the fridge.

"I just wanna know why you were so shocked to find out." Eda said as Luz and King paid attention to the conversation.

Junior sighed, a small part of him feeling this would come up eventually.

"I know what it's like to have a sister, and to be outshined by her in comparison to what you can do." Junior admitted.

"Oh yeah, you did mention that before, about experiencing failure so many times." Luz said as she put her sandwich on her plate. "Was it to this sister of your's?"

"Multi-talented sister, yes." Junior said he closed the fridge, numbering the talents of her. "Ballet star, actress, fencing, archery, poetry, classical musician, and so fluent in the language of the middle age that she can speak it every moment."

"7 talents?! Geez! And she's your sister?!" King asked in shock.

"Yes. And I love her, really I do, but it gets annoying hearing people praise her talents." Junior said as he leaned against the fridge. "While I just get scorned with bad trumpet playing from a few years ago."

"Come on, Junior. It could've have been that bad." Luz tried to discharge his claims with a wave of her hand.

"I got a tomato to the face the first 5 seconds after playing." he said wit ha deadpanned face before taking a bite of his strange fruit, finding the taste as a mix of an apple and a mango with a strange hint of peanut.

"Ooh! Tough crowd." Luz said with a wince.

"Yeah, it was Hell. ALL crowds are tough down there." Junior joked as he moved to table and sat next to Luz, noticing Eda's thinking gaze. "Something up, Eda?" Junior asked.

"I just now realized that you haven't told us much about your family, aside from your father and sister." she said while scratching her chin.

"Well, my dad forced my mom to marry him. Or, so I'm told. My mother is different than most but she loves us and I love her." Junior said, remembering from his dad's journal.

"Most parents are, it's just how they are." Eda said as she twirled some of her hair with her finger. "Anyway, since you met my sister, I just thought it'd only be far we meet your sister."

"How? Are we going to call her or something?" Junior asked.

"Don't you have phones in hell?" Luz asked as she held up her cracked but still useful phone.

"Yeah, but I don't have one. So, unless my father's number works on your phone, I can't arrange anything." Junior said as he took another bite of his fruit.

"Aren't there other ways to contact the undead?" King asked as he took another handful of his breakfast into his mouth.

"Yes there are, King." Eda said as she stood up, snapping her fingers to change into her normal dress and shoes. "And we are going to find it."

Eda when into one of her trunks in the den and looked through before finding an old spell book. She flipped through the pages for a minute or two before finding the right spell for them.

"Here we go! Contact spell!" she said as she pointed to it before summoning her owl staff.

Eda spun it in a circle before pointing it forwards to show a black mirror with a white ring.

"Now, all you need to do is think of the person you want to speak to, and the Contact spell will give you a direct feed to them." Eda said as remembered what she read while they all looked at the mirror circle.

"Kinda like Skype back home." Luz said as she gazed at it.

"What's Skype?" King asked as Junior finished his fruit and walked to the spell.

"So, just think of the person and it will contact them?" Junior asked.

"Yep." Eda answered as she placed her staff over her shoulders.

Junior sighed as he thought of Minnie, thinking of her good qualities since he didn't knowing if it required good or bad thoughts of the person to work. The black mirror began to light up and slowly show an image of a person that only Junior knew. She had grey eyes and short blonde hair with bangs, her clothes were a black outfit with a model of the Grim Reaper's head in the middle.

"Hello?" she asked in curiosity before seeing someone that had been away for about a 2 weeks. "Brother!"

"Hey, Minnie." Junior said as he waved to his sister.

"I have missed thee so much! How hath tho been?" she asked with a smile.

"I've been good, my training have been going well and I've made a few friends here." Junior said as he gestured fir them to come to the mirror and meet her.

King was the first to do so as he jumped on Junior's shoulder and waved to Minnie, who then gasped at the sight of the demon before holding her cheeks.

"Brother, that small demon is so adorable! Where did thee find him?" she asked with starry eyes.

Junior chuckled a bit before answering, "I didn't. He's my teacher's roommate."

"Oh, well thine teacher has a lovely pet." she said as she removed her hands from her cheeks.

"I am not a pet! I am King, the king of demons!" King shouted at Minnie, only for her to giggle at how cute he was when he was angry.

"Such cuteness." she said as King groaned in frustration.

"Yeah, he's not that threatening for a so called "demon king."" Eda said as she appeared next to Junior, tussling his almost barren skull her. "And I am the roommate of this king, along with Junior's teacher, Eda the Owl Lady."

Minnie gasped at this, learning about her from one of her history book on witchcraft.

"The famous witch who defied the laws? While I do not care for your illegal activities, I am honored that a spell caster so powerful as tho hath agreed to take on my brother." she said with a smile.

Eda had to try her best not to cringe at flowery language Minnie was speaking, it was almost as bad as Luz's books. But she had to keep it to herself out of respect for her student.

"Think nothing of it, your brother is a quicker study than my first student but that's not to say Luz isn't good in her own right." Eda said as Luz moved to see Minnie, getting in between Junior and Eda while King was still on his shoulder.

"And Luz would be me! It's nice to meet you, Minnie!" she said with a smile and a wave.

At the instant sight of Luz, Minnie's expression changed from a happy smile to a neutral line on her lips.

"Oh. So I see." she simply said.

Seeing Minnie suddenly switch from a happy smile to a blank expression made everyone a bit confused and Junior a little worried. This had always happened whenever Junior was seen talking to another girl his age, Minnie would become a bit cold towards them and a bit to protective towards Junior. Like she was protecting what was her's.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Minnie. Junior told us you're really talented." Luz said, trying to not let the change bother her.

"Yes. I have always tried to get my brother's attention." Minnie said.

"Well, I can say you definitely have left an impression on him in his opinion of you." Luz said, not knowing that that comment set off a fuse inside of Minnie.

"Really? And what has my brother told you of me?" Minnie asked as her smile came back but to only her, it was fake as she was starting for feel anger towards Luz.

"Ballet, actress, singer. You sound so awesome." Luz said as she counted a few.

"Yes, My talents are wondrous but may I know what your talents may be?" She asked as King decided to hope of Junior's shoulder and get his book on demons.

"I'll be right back!" He said as he ran on his little feet.

"King's a self appointed demon expert." Junior said as he jerked his thumb to him.

"I heard that!" King said as they chuckled a bit.

"But he does know his stuff, even a few thinks we never learned at home." Junior said to his sister.

"Fascinating, but I was referring to the young lady next to you." Minnie said as she turned to Luz. "What is it , she is capable of?"

"Oh, well I have been training to become a witch and I've learn this cool light spell I discovered with my phone." Luz said as she pulled out her notepad and pencil.

Luz quickly draw the symbol she practiced since she first saw it, showed it to Minnie, and activated it after pulling her notepad back. An orb of light formed from the notepad and floated in front of them before Luz held it in her cupped hands.

"Pretty cool, huh?" Luz asked.

"Very cool. I hath not seen magic done in such a way before." Minnie said with honesty.

"Thanks."" Luz said with a smile.

As Minnie watched the orb of light, a thought came to her mind and she turned back to Junior.

"Brother...is there anyway I could come to you?" Minnie asked him.

"Come to me? Like a visit?" Junior asked as Luz cupped her hands over the spell, putting it out.

"Indeed." she said with a nod.

"Hmm, I'm not sure. If it's a long visit, I don't know where you'd sleep." Junior said as he pointed into the den. "The only pace I could think of is sleeping on the couch but you'd have to share it with me."

Minnie's eyes widened a bit before she smile, liking the idea very much.

"I am fine with." she answered quickly.

Everyone jumped back a bit at how quick she answered but they just assumed she really missed Junior and that since he was the only boy around her age, she must've really enjoyed the time they spent together.

"Alright, I guess. If you can get mom and dad to agree to it." Junior said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Wondrous! I shall request it immediately!" Minnie said with a bright smile.

"Junior, fair warning, what you do with her is your business but keep my couch clean!" Eda warned with a smirk as she pointed to him.

"Eda! She's my sister!" Junior said with a blush as the chat ended and the mirror turned back to black, Luz blushing as well.

"You're HALF sister, if I remember correctly." Eda said as she turned back to finish her cup of apple blood.

Junior groaned at that and shook his head.

"Sometimes, I wonder who hurt you, Eda." Junior said.

"The question with a shorter answer is. . Who hasn't?!" Eda joked before laughing at her own joke and ignoring the blank look Junior gave her.

Meanwhile, Luz's blush slowly went away as King came back with his book only to see that contact spell to Minnie had ended.

"Aw, it's over? But I didn't get to show off my notes!" King said as with a sad frown as he held up his book.

"Oh, it's alright you little cutie. Minnie is going to ask their parents if she can come visit us for a while." Luz said as he petted the sad King.

"Really? Ehehehehe!" he let out in a giddy laugh.

Seeing King's sadness go to happy in an instant, Luz giggled at him once again as Junior turned to him.

"I wouldn't get your hopes up, King. Minnie's knowledge of demons is a lot better compared to mine, considering she is a demon herself." Junior said as King turned to him.

"She's a demom?! But she looked so much like Luz!" He said as he pointed to Luz.

"She may look like a human but she is far from normal, she's a hybrid of an extremely rare called a "Nergaling" and their capabilities make them extremely hard to fight if you had too." Junior said.

"Nergaling? I've never heard of them." King said with a raised brow.

"That's to be expected, before my great uncle Nergal came to the light, he was dormant and lived in the center of the earth." Junior said as he walked to the living room.

"The center of the earth!?" Luz shouted in shock as she ran to Junior to hear more.

"Yeah, I don't know much about it. I just know he got into a few debates with my parents. And eventually they kinda came to an understanding." Junior said as he sat on the couch.

"Oooh! Just like in my book! They were facing a conflict with another kingdom and the only way to end it without a war breaking out was an arranged marriage!" Luz said with a bright smile, remembering her favorite book, the Good Witch Azura.

"I don't know about that but he did calm down after finding a wife." Junior said.

"That still doesn't explain why I've never heard of a Nergal before." King said.

"Well, that could be due to the fact that the Boiling Isles probably doesn't have any or because only about 3 exist." Junior said as he counted with his fingers. "My great uncle was the first, my god father/uncle/Minnie's blood father, Nergal Junior was the second, and Minnie is the latest. They may be few but their really powerful."

"How powerful?" King asked as he sat down next to Junior, opening his book and beginning to make a special page for Negals.

Junior leaned down to King and got in his face to say.

"VERY." with bluntness before pulling back.

"Oh!" King let out as he quickly wrote down that part about Nergals being very powerful. "Can you please describe their abilities?"

Junior was about to answer before a green swirling portal opened in the den, surprising everyone.

"I think you can ask the expert since it looks like our parents said "yes."" Junior commented as Minnie stepped out of the portal with a small suitcase.

Minnie looked around as the portal closed and saw Junior on the couch.

"Brother!" She said as she ran up to Junior and hugged him.

"Hey, Minnie." Junior said as he hugged back.

"How hath tho been doing? Is thine magic teacher near?" Minnie asked as she pulled back from Junior.

"Right here, kid!" Eda called out as she finished her drink and stood before Minnie. "Eda the Owl Angel, the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles."

"And I am King, demon expert of the Boiling Isles!" King said as he jumped from the couch and on Eda's shoulder.

"A pleasure to meet you both." Minnie said as she bowed to them.

"Nice to meet you too, kid. Even if you speak all flowery!" Eda said as she waved it off.

"Flowery?" Minnie asked as she turned to Junior, her brow raised as she looked to him.

"She doesn't like the books Luz reads about witches cause they speak sort of like bad Shakespearean." Junior answered.

"How lacking valor couldst it beest?" Minnie asked as Luz excitingly ran to get her book for comparison.

"I'll get it!" Luz said.

As Luz went upstairs to get one of her books, Minnie leaned closer to Junior to ask him something.

"Hath that girl attempted to...seduce you, brother?" Minnie asked as Junior looked at her strangely before shaking his head.

"No, Minnie, Luz is just a friend and she's looking to learn magic to become a witch more than being in a relationship." Junior whispered to his sister as Luz cam back with her book.

"Here, listen to this." Luz said as she opened her book, reading aloud the flowery and bad imitation of Shakespearean language.

"Uh! So awful!" Eda said as she covered her ears, walking out of the room to find something to plug them as King jumped off her.

"It's just a book, Eda." Junior commented as Minnie showed some distaste from the book.

"Such butchery." she said in a low tone about the horrible literature of the book.

Junior chuckled at this before turning to Minnie.

"Not every writer is Shakespeare, Minnie." he said.

"But the problem is they do not try." Minnie said as she went to Luz and gently took the book from her before reading it. "There is nay structureth in these w'rds, nay passion. Tis all just for showeth, liketh those gents didn't coequal tryeth to maketh it soundeth prop'r." Minnie complained as she pointed to some poor sentences.

"We can talk about the book later! Right now, I wanna talk to Minnie about getting information on Nergals!" King said as he jumped on Luz's shoulder and held up his blank page. "Now, what can Nergals do?"

Minnie smirked as she showed off some of her tentacles, showing there grayish black color and a few green eyes.

"We are capable of many things." she said to him.

"Oooohhh!" King let out with eyes of wonder.

"Whoa!" Luz said as she saw the tentacles.

"Mine own nergal tentacles alloweth me to maketh aught mine own I wisheth with a simple bethought. From a simple sword to wings, I just has't to bethink it." Minnie said as she created a fencing sword with her tentacles and a large pair of green wings from her back.

"Amazing!" King said as he quickly wrote down what a nergal could do with their hidden tentacles.

"And they make dancing so much easier." Junior commented.

"Indeed." Minnie said as she handed the book back to Luz, did a quick pierrot and jumped into the air, and stood on her toes.

Everyone clapped at the small display of ballet as Minnie bowed to them.

"Amazing! I can't begin to describe my feelings." King said as he began to tear up a bit from the beauty of it.

Junior sighed as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Neither could I. " he mumbled so no one could hear him, except King who was the closest.

"Really? After HOW MANY YEARS, you're still jealous of her?" King said loudly with a groan and disappointment in his voice.

Everyone stopped clapping at this as Minnie stopped bowing and was surprised at what she heard.

"Brother?" she asked as she turned to Junior.

"I'm not jealous of her!" Junior said to King, expelling some blue flames in rage.

"Really? Cuz that looks like some jealousy to me." King said as Luz jumped back a bit at the shout an the flames.

Junior released an annoyed groan as he turned to leave, summoning his scythe as he went to the door.

"Hey, kid, where're you going?" Eda asked as they watched Junior's leave.

"Practice my scythe, I'll be back later." Junior said as he opened the door, his flames dimming down a bit.

"But what about-" Luz tried to say before the door shut and echoed through the house. "Minnie?"

"Hoot! Man, he was is angry. Hoot! Almost burned my door nob off!" Hooty said as he saw Junior jump on his scythe a fly off into the woods on it.

"Wonder where he's going?" Eda asked before noticing something new. "And where did his sister go?"

King and Luz looked to where Minnie once stood, only to see an empty spot and an open window in the back of the kitchen.

"I think she went after him." King said before groaning. "And I didn't get all my questioned answered about Nergals."

"You'll probably get another chance when they come back. And if not, oh well." Eda said with a shrug.

"But I must know!" King shouted before Luz asked something.

"So, what are we going to do now?" she asked.

"I'll tell you we're going to do, Luz! We're going to find Minnie and get my answers!" King said as he climbed up her and hopped in Luz's hood, pulling her hair like the reigns of a horse. "Onward, Luz! I must categorize my fellow demon!"

"Ow! King, stop that! And we don't even know where she went!" Luz argued as King was a bit rough with her hair.

"I got enough of her scent to track her, now onward!" King shouted once more before snapping her hair like reigns. "HYAH!"

"Okay, okay, geez! Just stop pulling." Luz said as she ran out of the house.

Eda sighed as she began to follow them.

"Watch after yourself, Hooty. I gotta go stop a group of kids from getting killed...Or from killing each other." she told her home before flying after them on her staff.

Meanwhile, in the forest a few miles away from the owl house, Junior was training withg his scythe on whatever he could. Slicing any tree in reach while twisting it around his body to do more while thinking of combinations to do with is blue flames. He had to let it out, all his anger and frustration as he sliced down tree after tree as he spun his scythe around him. He stopped to take a small break before he heard a flapping sound, one that he recognized.

"Hello, Minnie." he said with a sigh.

Stabbing his blade to the ground next to him, Junior turned around and saw that Minnie was indeed there with her green bat-like Nergal wings out. She had a worried look on her face as she retracted her wings into her body.

"Brother, please, bid me what both'rs thee." she said as she walked up to him.

"It's nothing." Junior said as he looked away.

Minnie put a hand on his cheekbone and made him turn back to her.

"Brother, please." she said to him.

Junior just let out a sigh through his nose hole before finally giving in.

"All my life, I have just wanted a little attention and you were more talented." he admitted.

"Yond doest not cullionly thee doth not possesseth talents of thy owneth." Minnie said to him.

"But they just seem so...small compared to all you can do." Junior said as he stepped away from her. "I tried to be an instrumentalist but that didn't work out. I tried to be as good as you in academic but it didn't take. So, I went to find my own things and got good at them but until dad finally started to start my training."

Junior looked to the sky, remembering the times he and his father would trained him to be the next reaper.

"For a short time...I kinda sucked but, I got better and just keep getting better. Even more so after I got here. But when I told my friends about all you can do, they still want to learn about you. When King brought it up, I. ." Junior continued before Minnie placed her hands on his shoulders, making him pulled her sight back to her.

"Junior...your friends like you, for whom you are. I don't think they even know of me, without you telling them." Minnie said with a smile to him. "And, if they fake being your friends, to get to me. . I will kill them.'

Junior couldn't help but smile at the thought, even if he knew they wouldn't do that, it was still nice to think Minnie would go to that length to protect him. And he was suppose to be the older sibling protecting her.

"Thanks, Min, but I think their true friends." Junior said as he turned to her before noticing Eda, Luz, and King flying towards them on her staff. "Speaking of my friends, they seem to have found us."

"You two aren't killing each other, are you?" Eda asked as she landed her staff.

"Nope. Just talking." Junior said as Minnie turned around to them.

"Oh! Hurray!" He cheered, knowing he could get more for his demon book before lookig at Minnie, who had been glaring at Luz, "Uh oh, here comes the jealousy again."

"Uh!" Junior groaned again. "King, I said, I'm not..."

Eda came around to him and placed a hand on his shoulder, getting his attention.

"I don't think King is talking about you, kid." Eda told him.

"Doth thou take me for a petty child, demon?" Minnie shouted at King before Eda stepped in front of him.

"Whoa! He's not saying anything." Eda said with a smirk, holding her hands up. "I get that you care about your brother but you can't go all feral when a female friend gets his attention."

"Yeah, I only like Junior as a friend. Sure he's a cool guy but I don't see him as "boyfriend" material." Luz said as she stepped next to Eda, giving air quotes. "He like the cool brother I never had and he was one of the first friends I made here on the Boiling Isles."

"I see." Minnie said before asking something else. "But what does thou mean not boyfriend material? Thou thinks thine is too good for him?!"

"That's not what I'm saying!" Luz said as she held her hands up as she saw Minnie facial features began to change.

Minnie's eyes went from a calming gray to a sickly green with slits to replaces the pupils and her teeth turned green as well becoming long and sharp in her mouth, it was so scary to the group as all but Junior took a small step back as she growled at Luz.

"Nergal's anger can effect their facial features." King whispered as he quickly wrote it down.

"Minnie! Enough!" Junior shouted as he held by back by the hips.

Though her mind was still a bit feral, Minnie jumped a bit as she realized that Junior was holding her in a rather intimate place. She blushed a tiny bit as Eda saw this and smirked at it.

"Well, well, well. It looks like little miss Minnie got the attention she wanted." Eda said as she crossed her arms.

"Eda, with all due respect, please not now." Junior said to her.

"Brother." Minnie said.

"I know what you're thinking. It's not like that at all. She and I are just friends. Nothing else and it's going to stay that way." Junior said as he looked to his sister.

"Very well but...could tho release me?" she asked, her blush still visible.

"She probably doesn't like that her brother's hands are so close to her butt." King said with a small chuckle.

"I think otherwise." Eda mumbled as Junior took his hands off Minnie's hips.

Junior had a bit of pink on his skeleton as he knew where his hands were, but it was the only way to get Minnie's mind off of potentially killing Luz for admitting that Junior wasn't boyfriend material to her. Though for Minne, it meant no girl would be good enough for him...except her.

"Look. . I get why you're upset. But don't be, okay?" Junior asked her.

"But brother.." Minnie tried to say before Junior gave her a pleading look and a small smile.

"Please?" he asked her as her teeth slowly returned to normal and her eyes became gray again.

"Okay, brother." she said as she nodded.

"Thank you." Junior sincerely said.

"As heartwarming as this is, I think we should tell Minnie about what you've been up to here, Junior." Eda said as she rubbed his head a bit. "I'm sure she's just dying to hear about all your adventures."

"I am." Minnie said with a nod.

"Well. . Where to start?" Junior asked as he he picked up his scythe, pulling blade from the ground and holding it on his shoulder.

"How about back at the house, where's nice and comfy?" King sarcastically said as he wasn't in the mood to talk in a destroyed part of the woods.

"Yeah, and I could tell you about all the times Junior walked in on Luz in the bathroom!" Eda said with a smirk as Luz and Junior blushed this.

"Eda!" they shouted to her as King had a small laugh.

Minnie giggled as well before answering,

"Sounds nice."

And with that, the group returned to the Owl House and shared tales of the kind of havoc Junior and Luz got themselves into. Even Hooty joined in the fun, though Eda, King, and Luz groaned at him for it while Junior and Minnie wanted his add on.

After a short time, Junior asked, "So, Minnie. . What do you think of all this?"

"I bethink thy adventures has't been phenomenal. Thee has't truly madeth an impact h're and valorous friends, friends yond i wast too hasty to judgeth." Minnie said as she turned to them and gave an apologetic smile. "I am truly sorry for my over reaction."

"It's fine. You just wanted to Keep your big brother all to yourself. I understand that." Luz said as she scratched her head.

"How?" King asked as Luz glared at him in annoyance.

"I don't have siblings of my own. But I know how Junior has talked about you. And you seem like you love each other a lot. I know that if I had a brother like Junior, I'd never want any other girl to look at him without my permission." Luz said as she turned back to Minnie.

"Truly?" Minnie asked.

"Truly." Luz said with a nod.

"Thank you, Luz." Minnie said with a grateful smile.

Junior watched them and smiled, happy to see they had finally come to an understanding.

"So. . Now what do you want to do, Minnie?" He asked her.

"Hmm." Minnie thought for a moment before smiling at Junior. "I wish to stay for a few days, to not only see the fruits of your training but to seeing the Boiling Isles for myself. It could be an interesting experience."

Junior looked at Eda, wondering if it will be okay with her.

"Sure, kid. It's fine by me but, seriously...keep my couch clean!" she said as she pointed to Junior.

"Would you stop that?!" Junior shouted at her, blushing bright as this joke was getting old. "We're not going to do anything on the couch besides sit and sleep!"

"Maybe you want that but your sister obviously wants to do what Eda's teasing about!" King said as he completed his page on Nergals, thinking he had all he could about the species.

Junior growled at King and was about to do something to him before Minnie held up her hand to stop him. She then grew sprouted a tentacle and grabbed King before throwing him like a frisbee into the kitchen.

"AAAHHHH" King screamed as he spun into the kitchen, crashing into the sink.

"Ahahahahaha." Eda laughed as Luz tried to hold her laughter back, not wanting to make her little cutie feel any worse.

Junior just smirked at him, happy that he got his just desserts for his mocking.

"Thanks, Minnie." Junior said to her.

"You're welcome, brother." she said with a smile to him.

"And also, I. . Think I know how you feel about me. And I want you to know. . I want to. But not right now." Junior said to her, smiling with pink spots on his cheeks.

This news caused Minnie to beam in happiness before she tackled Junior to the couch and gave him a bone crushing him, literally. Eda and Luz could here his bones grinding together. Though he was in pain, Junior chuckled and reassured them.

"Don't worry. I can handle it." he said through grit teeth.

"Brother. . I love thee." Minnie said.

"I love you too, Minnie." Junior said as he hugged back, still being crushed by Minnie's hug but he endured it.

"AWWWWW." Luz cooed at their moment.

It was then King came back from the kitchen, covered in bruises from being thrown in the sink.

"I AM IN GREAT PAIN!" he shouted as he fell face first to the floor, laying there.

"Next time, King, keep you mouth shut." Junior said as the hug stopped, letting his bones snap back into place before he heard Luz's stomach growl.

"Guess it's time for lunch, huh?" she asked with a blush on her face.

"I would say so, yes." Eda said as she picked up the injured King, leading everyone to the kitchen for an average lunch on the Boiling Isles.

Made from whatever freaky food is in her kitchen.

"Alright, Minnie, fair warning. Don't be grossed out, the food here isn't the same as home." Junior said to her.

"I figure but it can not be that bad, can it?" Minnie asked as Eda opened the fridge and looked inside.

"So what'll it be, kids?" Eda asked as she looked back, moving to show them what they would want to eat.

Minnie looked towards the fridge and pointed to what looked like a sausage.

"I'd like that, please." she said as Eda caught sight of it.

"Oooh! You are in for a treat." Eda said as she took out the a green sausage with red spots and handed it to Minnie. "You get to eat this Ogre Sausage. These things are to die for!"

"The reason is because they're so hot, you'll feel like you're dying!" King added as Minnie looked shocked at the sausage while holding it at a small distance.

"That is true but the flavor makes it all the worth while!" Eda said as she pointed to the sausage while looking back in the fridge. "You will not find a tastier or spicier sausage on the Boiling Isles."

"Well...lets see." Minnie said before Eda stopped her for a moment.

"Now hold on now, they may be good raw, but everything is better when it's cooked!" Eda said as she pulled out some random things for her and King while Luz looked through the cabinets. "Junior, mind grabbing a skillet and adding some fire?"

"Uh...I guess." Junior said as he went to grab a clean skillet, taking the sausage from Minnie and putting it in.

He used his flames and cooked the sausage, him and Minnie watching as the color changed from green to red and the spots turned blue.

"Seriously, great as it tastes, that stuff will have you in the crapper for a long time." Eda commented.

"I believe myself very capable of handling that." Minnie said to Eda.

"Well, just in case, the bathroom is upstairs just down the call." Eda said as Junior put the cooks sausage on a plate for Minnie, who made a fork and knife to eat it with class.

Minnie put her fork at the the right end and cut the tip off before placing it on her mouth and chewing it.

"Hmm. It's good." she said to them.

Eda and King chuckled a bit as Eda held up 3 fingers.

"3...2...1..." Eda counted down as Minnie took a second bite before she stopped chewing for a second.

Minnie began to sweat as she began breathing heavily and fanning her mouth as he face began to turn red.

"Water! I require water!" Minnie shouted as she grabbed her throat, feeling the burning pain.

"On it!" Luz said as she quickly got a clean glass and filled it with water.

"We warned you." Eda said asMinne made a tentacle fire towards her and bring it back to her like a rubber band.

She chugged it down like it was the last one on earth before stopping, trying to get every last drop as the heat was still rising.

"More!" she cried out as she set the glass down.

"At least the sausage was good, right?" King asked as Eda got Minnie another glass of water.

"SILENCE DEMON!" Minnie screamed to him, her demonic features returning.

"AH!" King screamed in fear before he ducked behind Eda, who watched Minnie chug the water again but still asked for more.

"Okay, forget this!" Eda said as she took the glass away and drew a spell circle at here. "Open wide kid, because a water magic blast is coming your way!"

Eda punched the spell circle and blasted a focused stream of water into the half-Nergal girl's mouth. Minnie held her mouth open gulped down as much water as she could while trying to breath through her nose. After almost half a minute, Eda stopped the water and let Minnie gasp for air.

"You okay, sis?" Junior asked as Minnie grabbed his hand and walked to take a seat.

"I-I am good and your teacher was right." Minnie said as she finally regained her breath but her voice was hoarse. "The spice aside, the sausage is quite delicious."

"You know, I might wanna have some too but I want to avoid the whole "flaming hot mouth" syndrome." Luz said.

"Yeah. I guess we should find you something to help with that." Junior said as he went over to the fridge and reopened it to try and find a sauce or jam for the Ogre Sausage.

He saw things that looked similar to jelly but didn't look too sure of them.

"If you need a good sauce to off set the heat of the sausage, look towards the bottom draw and open it." Eda said as she was frying some grub for her and King.

Junior took her advice and opened the drawer, seeing a jar filled with some sort of red paste and pulled it out.

"Is this the sauce?" Junior asked as he turned to Eda.

"Yes, it's a little concoction I made and secretly sell like my potions and elixirs." Eda said as she finished frying her food.

Junior took the jar back to the table and set it before Minnie and Luz. Minnie opened the jar and used her knife to take the sauce and spread the sauce on the pieces of her sausage, seeing the steam coming off it slowly simmer.

"Arent thou sure it will work?" Minnie asked Eda as she and King were about to eat their food.

"Only one way to finds out." Eda said as she drew a spell circle and levitated a piece of Ogre sausage covered in special sauce. "Think fast, Luz."

Eda then flicked her finger towards Luz and shot the piece of meat into mouth, taking her by surprise before she was hit with the taste.

"Oh. Mmm, so good!" Luz said as she ate the piece.

"And not spicy?" Junior asked as Luz swallowed her bite.

"Only a bit but not like an inferno." Luz said as she looked to the other pieces. "Is there another one in the fridge? That was really good."

"Yeah, just look in the fridge." Eda said with a full mouth of her food.

Luz nodded before going to find another Ogre Sausage as Minnie began to eat her's, now that it was perfectly safe to eat. Once Luz found it and Junior fried it up, they all ate in peaceful silence while King was both eating and tending to his own injuries.

After lunch was done and the dishes were put in the sink to be washed, not be Eda cause she didn't care, a knock was heard at the door.

"Hoot Hoot! Hello, Gus and Willow, come to see little old me?" Hooty asked, causing everyone's attention to turn to his door.

"I am still quite surprised that the house can speak." Minnie said to Junior.

"Yeah but he's pretty annoying. Don't talk to him too much." King commented as Luz walked to the door.

Luz opened the door to reveal two elf, judging by their ears, wearing the same clothes aside from their colors. One was a plump female with dark hair that was puffy and glasses while the other was a male with dark skin and curly standing hair.

"I know what you're thinking but she's just a friend. Don't get jealous." Junior quickly said to her.

"Worry not, brother. I do not worry about her." Minnie said with a confident smile, knowing she is more beautiful than her.

"Hey, guys!" Luz said as she hugged her friends.

"Hey Luz!" Gus said as they all hugged.

"Thank you from saving us from that conversation." Willow whispered in her ear as they came inside and closed the door. "I didn't wanna say anything but he is REALLY annoying when he talks."

"I can see that." Junior commented as he and Minnie walked over to them.

"Hi, Junior and who might you be?" Willow asked as she looked to Minnie.

"This is Minne, she's my sister." Junior said as he gestured to her.

"Sister?!" Gus and Willow asked in shock as they looked at Minnie.

"But she looks so...human!" Gus said as he saw Minnie's round ears.

"Well, yes but technically she's only half human and technically she my half sister." Junior said to them.

"Wow." they let out before quickly bowing to her.

"I didn't know there would be another royal here!" Willow quickly said as Minnie giggled and bowed to them as well.

"A pleasure to meet both of you." she said before they all rose their heads.

Gus then began asking a plethora of questions about how Minnie was Junior's sister and what other creature she was besides half human.

"We share a mother but the other creature among my parentage is Nergal." Minnie said.

"A nergal? What's a nergal?" Willow asked as Gus stopped his questions for that one.

"Oh! Oh! Oh! I can answer that!" King said as he came running with the new demon information on Nergals he made.

"Oh boy." Junior mumbled as King then began to show them a picture of Minnie angry and having monstrous features with tentacles sprouting out of her back.

'Oh god...that is going to get him killed. Even if it sort of accurate.' Junior thought as he turned to his sister.

"Small demon, thou art is annoying me." Minnie said with a frown.

"I'm just showing what I learned from you!" King shouted, cowering in slight fear as Gus and Willow looked at the book.

"Hmm, originally from the center of the earth in Luz's dimension? Fascinating." Willow said as she adjusted her glasses.

"Tis is a pleasure to know thou thinketh so." Minnie said, smiling at Willow.

"I can't believe that creatures could survive at the center of a planet! And that they can create whatever they want with a thought." Gus said with excitement.

"Well, not anything but certain things." Minnie admitted.

"Could you show us?" Willow asked as Gus nodded very fast.

"Indeed." Minnie said with a nod before she created large green bat wings from her back and a sharp lizard like tail.

They both marveled in awe as Junior and Luz laughed a little at their reaction.

"Good choice, Minnie." Junior said to her.

"Thank thee, brother." Minnie said with a smile as Gus and Willow admired her wings.

"So cool!" Gus said as he held a hand out to it. "Can I touch it? I REALLY wanna touch it."

"I...kinda wanna touch them too." Willow said with a small blush.

"You my touch them but be gentle." Minnie said as she presented her wing to them.

Gus and Willow turned to each other with happy smile as they did as Minnie asked, gently grazing the wings as they stared at them.

"Ooooh. They feel so soft yet rugged at the same time." Willow said as Gus nodded in agreement.

"Tis nothing. But I wonder, why is thou clothing so different?" Minnie asked as she looked at their uniforms.

"Oh, they're for different magic course or tracks they provide at Hexside." Luz answered.

"I'm in the plant track, specializing in plant magic." Willow said as she drew a small spell circle, summoning a horde of vines into the room.

"And I am in the illusion track. We specialize in magic to amaze and deceive." Gus said as he drew a blue spell circle to turn himself invisible.

"Plant and illusion magic? Fascinating." Minnie said to them.

"Thanks, Minnie." Willow said as Gus became visible again. "Hexside school provides several other tracks of magic for any student to choose and major in."

"Very interesting." Minnie commented.

"There's even a gathering called the Covention to show off all the covens and magics the Boiling Isles has to offer." Gus said as Minnie nodded to him.

"Junior did tell me of this, also of the Emperor's coven." Minnie said as she recalled him and Luz telling her about their adventures.

"Yeah. Worst of them all." Eda said as she was relaxing on the couch, letting them have their little get together.

"The worst?" Minnie asked before Eda explained how she viewed the coven system on the Boiling Isles.

How it held people back from their ultimate potential, keeping them in line with a crocked system, and why she choose not to be bond by the system so she could become the most powerful witch in the Boiling Isles.

"Hmm. I have to agree with thee, Eda." Minnie said.

"And worst of all, they keep bugging me about how they want someone 'worthy of my standing' to teach me, instead of Eda." Junior groaned as he wished he had eyes to roll them.

"Too bad since he already has someone worthy of his stand!" Luz said with a smile before waving a hand to Eda. "Who better to teach the son of death than the most powerful witch in the Boiling Isles?"

"Exactly, Luz!" Eda said with a smile before summoning her own staff, twirling it in the air before propping it next to her.

"Thou truly must be a grand teacher, Eda." Minnie complimented.

The room was silent for a moment before King bust out laughing while Luz held back her giggles a bit.

"I'll admit, Eda's lessons are unique but I wouldn't call her a grand teacher!" King laughed, his injuries well enough to not flinch in pain as he laughed.

Junior groaned at this as he shook his head.

"Come on, King!" he said.

"Yeah." Luz said with a little giggle slipping. "That's mean, King."

Eda shook her head at him before thinking of something to tease him.

"And to think. . I was going to give you sweets later." she said with a teasing smile.

"Sweets?!" King asked, stopping his laugh as he turned to Eda with eyes of wanting.

"But for that little laugh, I think I'll give it to Minnie." Eda said as she walked to the door, donning her cloak. "Just need a quick trip to the market and to the stand of the Baker's Coven."

"WAIT! I'M SORRY! YOU'RE THE BEST TEACHER I KNOW!" King shouted as he ran up to Eda. "YOU'RE THE ONLY TEACHER I KNOW!"

"Do you guys wanna come with? We can show Minnie more of the Boiling Isles." Eda said as she turned to them, ignoring King's plee for sweets.

"Sure! We might even be ale to show her, Hexside." Gus said as he and Willow nodded to Eda.

"Alright with me. Min?" Junior asked his sister.

"I hath no issue." she said with a chuckle.

"Well, then let's hit the market!" Eda said as she threw open the door, slamming Hooty's face into the wall next to it.

"OW! Hoot!" he said as everyone exited the house.

"A thousand apologies, Hooty." Minnie said to him.

"Thanks, Minnie. At least someone is kind, hoot." he said as he pushed his door body back.

"Come on, Minnie! We're burning daylight!" Eda called out as she readied her staff to fly off, unfurling the wings.

"Coming!" Minnie said as she rushed to the group.

The group then prepared for their trip to the market by flight, Eda hoping on her staff with Luz and King joining her, Junior summoning his scythe and having Gus and Willow ride on it with him, and Minnie created her own wings to fly with them. Their trip didn't take too long as they had landed outside of the market after about 5 minutes of flying.

As they walked through, Minnie was amazed at how many people/creaturres were just walking around, selling and buying the various items of the realm.

"See what happens when you leave the castle?" Junior said as he gestures to all around him. "You see all sorts of things you never see inside a castle."

"Yes, I do." Minnie said as she looked to him.

"And good idea on changing your ears. Makes you fit right in." Junior said about her now pointed ears.

"Listen to him, Min. Humans are...not fully welcome here." Eda said as to her.

"But what of Luz?" Minnie asked as she turned to the human.

"Luz just doesn't care and throws caution into the wind." King said as he was Eda's shoulder, using her as a seat to ride.

"Hmm? Like mother does?" Minnie asked as she turned to Junior.

"Not entirely, she's nicer and more cautious." Junior joked as they laughed at the inside joke.

As they continued to walk through the market, they ran into someone they didn't expected to see.

"Amity?" Junior questioned as they all saw the star student of Hexside academy, Amity Blight, walking out of a Potions Coven's tent with a bag of potions.

"Doth thou know that girl, brother?" Minnie asked her brother.

"Yep, that's the girl we told you about." Junior said to her.

"Her name is Amity Blight. She's in the abomination track at Hexside." Gus said.

"Is she one of your friends?" Minnie asked Luz.

"Yeah, she is." Luz said, remembering their interaction at the library. "We should say hi and introduce you to her, Minnie."

"Are you sure, Luz? I don't want her worshiping her she does me." Junior argued, thinking back to when he revealed himself to the Boiling Isles and Amity literally graveling in fear until he snapped her out of it.

"Oh?" Minnie let out before Junior cut in

"Minnie, please. Not every girl I meet ss going to try to become my girlfriend. If anything, and I'm JUST ASSUMING this, I think Amity is probably more interested in Luz." Junior said as he jerked his thumb to Luz.

"Wait, what?" Luz asked, not quite hearing that right.

"Ah, understood brother." Minnie said as they made their way to Amity, who was checking out another stand in the market.

"Hey, Amity!" Luz said as the group approached her.

"Human!" She said in surprised before bowing to Junior. "My Lord."

"Hey, Amity." Junior said as the group stopped before her. "Nice to see you today."

"And it is good to see you, Lord Junior." Amity said as she turned to Gus and Willow. "Gus. Willow."

"Amity." they said as Amity turned to Minnie.

"And who might you be?" she asked kindly.

"Good morrow to you, Ms. Blight." Minnie said with a bow and a smile. "I am Junior's little sister, Minimandy but please, address me as Minnie."

"Little sister?!" Amity asked in shock before looking back and forth between her and Junior.

"I know what you're thinking and Minnie is my half sister. Same mother, different father." Junior said as Amity quickly bowed to her.

"It is an honor to bask in your presence as well, my lady." she said.

"Oh!" Minnie let out, not used to people bowing so quickly before her.

"Though you are not exactly the Reaper's daughter, even one of clan Grim by marriage is accepted here." Amity explained as she rose from her bow.

"Alright alright, enough royal worship!" Eda said as she got the groups attention. "We came here to get treats from the Baker's Coven and that's what we're gonna do! So let's move people before the guards show up!"

"Guards?" Minnie asked.

"Non wizard enforcers of the of Emperor's Coven." Junior quickly explained.

"Do you mind if accompany you? I was going to pick up some cakes for my mother on my way home." Amity said to the group.

"Sure. The more and merrier!" Luz said as she walked next to Amity. "And it can give us a chance to talk about the book I lent you."

Amity let herself smile at Luz as they walked to the Baker's Coven stand, with Minnie seeing how Luz and Amity looked at each other.

"See what I'm talking about?" Junior asked as he saw her face.

"Yes, but I imagine they do not see it?" Minnie asked.

"Sometimes, people are oblivious to what's right in front of them." Junior said as Minnie gave him a deadpan look, which he noticed. "I know, I know. It's the pot calling the kettle black."

"Doth thou think?" Minnie asked with a smirk.

Junior rolled his non eyes at Minnie as the group made it to the Bakers Coven stand, which had a nice display case for their treats.

"SWEETS!" King shouted as he saw the treats in the case.

"And I told you, for that laugh earlier, you don't get any." Eda said before turning to Minnie. "Pick out anything you want, kid. You earned it for putting up with King."

Minnie nodded as King groaned while walking up to the display case, gazing at whatever she would like to eat.

"I shall take the chocolate cupcake." Minnie said as she pointed to it through the glass, a chocolate cupcake with purple frosting and a heart shaped cherry on top.

"Alright, little miss. It'll be just-" A monster with purple skin and wings for ears said as he turned around before seeing Junior and gasping. "Lord Reaper, its such an honor to have you visit our stand! Please, anything you want is on the house!" He said with a bow, taking his baker's hat to prevent it from falling off.

"Uh, thanks." Junior said, somewhat liking the free offer.

"Think nothing of it. And your friends are free to partake as well." the baker said as he rose his head with a smile.

"Really?!" Luz, Gus, Willow, and King asked in excitement of the rare deal, though King had already gotten this deal before when he led this coven on at the Covention.

"Well, in that case, everyone get's a treat!" Eda said to the group, turning her head to King. "Even you for that little joke."

King cheered as Minnie bowed to the baker with a smile.

"Thank thee for your kindness." she said to him.

"Seriously, think nothing of it, miss." he said with a head shake.

Everyone then began to pick out treat themselves to free pastries as they all picked their treats, even Amity was included after picking up the pastries her mother asked for.

"Brother, can I ask a question?" Minnie asked him as they got their treats and stepped back.

"Sure." Junior said as they stood back for everyone else get their pastries, holding a donut covered in red frosting and white sprinkles..

"How does love work here?" Minnie whispered as she leaned to him.

"No idea. Why?" Junior asked.

It had been one of the strangest questions Junior had let be unanswered since he got to the Boiling Isles. With all the strange creatures of all shapes and sizes in this realm, it would be best not to think about just how reproduction works with most of the species here. At least the ones that weren't humanoid like the Elf race all his friends, minus Luz and King, were apart of.

"Because if the Amity and Luz doth feel the same and when they get older, is it possible to have a child through some kind of magic?" Minnie asked.

"Maybe, magic is nearly limitless." Junior said before taking a bit of his donut.

Minnie accepted the answer as she merely took her chocolate cupcake. With everyone else, Eda got a box of chocolate truffles with sprinkles, King got a dark chocolate brownie with white frosting and chocolate chips on it, Willow and Gus got two muffins with blue and green icing to represent their respective tracks, Amity had gotten a large cake with blue frosting and red sprinkles while having a stick with several cake balls on it, and Luz was having a hand full of eclairs on each fingers.

"So far, I think today's been good." Eda said as she ate a truffle, the group walking through the market with their treats.

"Definitely!" Luz said as she ate an eclair from her finger, walking next to Amity.

"Twas an experience." Minnie said as she walked next to Junior.

"I still got my treat!" King cheered as he ate his brownie with glee, sitting on Eda's shoulder still.

"So what do we do now?" Junior asked for the group.

"Maybe we can show Minnie more of what we can do with our magic?" Gus asked as Willow nodded in agreement. "We could show her more of how magic works on the Boiling Isles. Even Amity could show off."

"That sounds excellent." Minnie agreed.

"And I know a great spot for it." Junior said as he lead the group to the beach Eda went to scrounge that Trash Slug from a while ago.

"Tis lovely." Minnie said as she gazed at the beach.

"Yeah, when there isn't a large trash slug full of "treasures" to scavenge." King said as he remembered the times Eda brought him her for dead Trash Slugs.

"Trash Slugs?" Minnie, Willow, Gus, and Amity asked.

"Ignore that." Junior quickly said as Eda took off her cloak, sitting on the sand and watching them. "So, who want's to go first?"

"I would, young lord. It would be an honor to introduce Ms. Minnie to the power of Abomination magic." Amity said as she placed her bags from the market on the sand while Luz held her cake balls on a stick.

"Okay, Amity." Junior said as Minnie nodded in agreement.

"Go ahead, Miss Blight." She said before whispering to Junior, "If it be true this is how Amity acts in public I wond'r how the lady wouldst act if she w're in our castle."

"Yeah, I could only imagine but her attitude is a lot better than what it used to be." Junior whispered back as Amity took a few steps in front of them and turned around.

Amity held up her hand and slowly drew a magenta colored spell circle on the ground, holding her hands over it to focus her magic.

"Abomination, rise." she said as she created a being of purple and pink muck, raising it to about her size.

"Amazing." Minnie said as she saw the creature.

"Thank you the compliment, Ms. Minnie." Amity said before gesturing to her abomination. "As you can see, the Abomination track allows students to create and control abominations such as this with simple voice commands. From fighting to serving, the use of the abomination is only limited to the user's imagination. Watch. Abomination, multiple."

The abomination nodded it's head to Amity before splitting itself down the middle, becoming two abomination half the size of the original.

"Most impressive." Minnie said as she clapped for Amity.

Amity took a bow before pointing to her creation.

"Abomination, cower." she said as her abomination dissolved into a puddle on the sand.

"So, who's next?" Junior asked before Gus shot his hand up.

"Me. Me!" he said as he quickly ran to the where Amity, who went to sit down and take back her treat, once was.

"Please show your skills, Agustus." Minnie said to him.

"With pleasure Minnie." Gus said as he held up his hand, drawing a light blue spell circle. "Now you see me, but now you don't."

Gus activated his spell to turn himself invisible before reappearing as two Gus'.

"And what was one is now two." both Gus' said as they did a bow.

"Such realistic illusions." Minnie said as she finished her treat and applauded Gus. "Splendid."

"Thank you." both Gus' said before the one on the left disappeared and he took a bow.

Willow walked towards the front and smiled at the group as Gus went to take his seat.

"My magic may seem simple, but there's a lot of uses for Plant magic." Willow said as she drew a light green spell circle and vines sprouted below her.

Willow sat on one of the vines as she waved her hands to make them grow tall and sprout flowers all around.

"Majestic!" Minnie said with starry eyes, taking a flower from a vine that grew near her.

"Thank you. So far, I'm the best in the Plant track at school." Willow said as she tickles a vine next to her.

"I couldst seeth why." Minnie said as she sniffed the flower she picked.

"Yeah, all these kids got talent. If they were a little more rowdy, they'd be like me when I went to Hexside." Eda said as she finished her box of truffles, licking her fingers free from the chocolate.

"Thou truly art a wild card." Minnie said as Eda tossed the empty box away.

"Especially since she didn't join a coven." Luz said as she finished her second eclair and freed another finger.

"I still don't believe it." Amity said as she turned to Eda. "You defied the natural order so many witches and warlocks are proud to be apart of!"

"Uh! She's like Lilith 2.0!" King said as he gobbled the rest of his brownie.

"Yeah, no real desire to join the system. That's why I'M the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles. AND why the Reaper chose me to teach his kid." Eda said as she pointed to Junior.

"That is where I have to correct you. Your sister and my teacher, Lilith, is the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles because she joined the Emperor's coven." Amity said as she ate one of her cake balls.

"The Emperor's coven allows access to all magic, does it not?" Minnie asked, remembering how Eda and Junior explained the coven system.

"Yep but I still refuse to join their system, Magic is meant to be free and wild! Just like me!" Eda said while pointing her thumb to herself.

"I got ask, what the hell happened between you two?" Junior asked after finishing his donut.

"Between me and Lily? Eh, its not important." Eda said as she waved it off.

"Eda, if it concerns your family, it is important." Junior said as everyone turned to her.

"Kid, why do you need to ask? You already know the results." Eda countered.

"I wanna know because it made this rift between you and your family. And because whatever happened, made you give up on joining the Emperor's coven by choice." Junior said, shocking everyone.

"How did you know about that?!" Eda asked in shock.

"When you guys swapped bodies, Luz heard from Lilith herself that if BOTH your dreams to join the Emperor's coven." Junior said.

"You wanted to join the Emperor's coven?" Amity asked in shock, never hearing this from Lilith, her own teacher.

"Yes. But I gave up on that because of one simple reason." Eda said as looked to the sky. "I found out the truth of the system."

"Dear Lord. You act like your leader is Stalin or something." Junior said with a sigh.

Everyone except Minnie turned to Junior and asked, "Who?"

"Human world. Evil guy. Lead Russia for thirty years. I'll tell you later." he said to them.

"Oh yeah, I remember now. We learned about him last semester before school got out." Luz said as she put a finger on her chin.

"Look, they want you to keep magic proper and boring. That's not what magic is supposed to be." Eda said to them.

"You already explained that, Eda. Magic is wild and free and all but the emperor's coven limit that with one single magic. But this is about you family, and I don't think magic is the main reason." Junior said as he brought up a subject he wanted to avoid. "The reason you stay away from your sister is because of the curse isn't it?"

"Yes. Wouldn't you want to keep away from yours, because of a curse?" Eda asked him.

"Maybe but..." Junior said as he looked at Minnie before looking back. "Having the ones you love help is better then closing yourself off and fighting it alone. Lilith doesn't want to arrest you, she just wants you with her in the coven to help. I'm not saying being in a coven is good but if it's with your family, doesn't that make it durable?"

Eda thought about it for a moment before looking away again, thinking back to her childhood and school life.

"Not my family." she said.

"Just drop it, Junior. Eda's a hard case when it comes to her family." King said as he walked up to him and patted his knee, his face covered in the frosting from his brownie. "Trust me, after hearing about them the first time, I get why she doesn't share much."

"Huh. I guess." Junior said with a sigh.

"I still can't get over how Eda WANTED to be in a coven." Luz said as she wiped her mouth clean after finishing her third eclair. "Must've been a weird time when you think back on it."

"Weird nothing! It's crazy to think you actually wanted to be in a coven!" Gus said as he was still shocked to hear this news.

"Yeah. Then I saw what they do to people." Eda said as her face grimaced.

"You mean the brand they give to seal off all other magics besides the coven's magic type?" Willow asked from common knowledge.

"Yeah." Eda said with a nod.

"The brand is simply a way to keep their witch and wizard focused on their main magic and not distract them with another." Amity said.

"But you limit your abilities." Eda said.

"Again, not unless you desire to join the Emperor's coven like myself." Amity said as she gestured to herself.

"Well, why join it if you could just not and learn as many magics as you want?" Eda asked.

"Without order is without discipline." Amity strongly said.

"Without being the Emperor's slave." Eda argued.

"They are not slaves!" Amity screamed as she got in Eda's face, showing her red angry face her siblings would mock for.

"What else do you call someone who does another's bidding and isn't allowed to speak their own mind? Who is KILLED just because they don't do what some Emperor says?" Eda said with narrowed eyes.

"Wait, who is killed?!" Luz asked in shock, stopping in the middle of her 4th eclair.

"Some witches decided to disobey the Emperor and he chopped off their heads." Eda continued.

"What?!" Gus and Willow said in shock.

"My word." Minnie said as she put a hand over her mouth.

"He...what?" Amity asked in shock, not hearing off this before. "But...Lilith told me that they were sentence to the conformitorium!"

"Not all the time." Eda said as she shook her head.

"So this system is more corrupted than I thought." Junior said aloud.

"Yeah, it is." Eda said as she glared at the sky.

Everyone then feel silent as they let the news sink in, with the view of society and the system of covens being turned upside down for Gus, Willow, and Amity.

"Wow, that sucks." Luz said, sadly finishing her fourth eclair.

"Yes it does Luz." Eda said as she got up with a sour look on her face. "I think its time we head back, I'm sure Minnie has seen enough of the Boiling Isles for one day."

"I suppose. Unless there is aught else thee wisheth to show me, brother?" Minnie asked as she turned to Junior.

"Hmm, well, there is one thing I can show you." Junior said as he summoned his scythe. "I can show you the very first thing Eda showed me and Luz."

"Oh?" Minnie let out.

"Just hop on and close your eyes, I want you to be surprised." Junior said as he got on his scythe and held his hand out to Minnie.

"Hmm, okay brother." Minnie said as she took his hand, sitting behind him and closing her eyes as Junior flew off towards the surprise.

About half way there, Junior decided to use something for good measure.

"Time out." he whispered as he froze time, just in case Minnie decided to peak, and flew all the way towards his surprise before resuming time.

"Time in." he said as he unfroze time and turned to Minnie. "Alright sis, you can open your eyes."

Minnie opened her eyes and was breath taken by the sight before her.

"Brother...what is this?" She asked as Junior smirked to her.

"Minnie, say hello to the bones of the isles." Junior said as he stared at them with a reminiscent look, remembering back when Eda first showed him and Luz.

"So beautiful." Minnie said with wide eyess.

"Yeah, it is." Junior let out as she gazed at horizon for the second time, sitting in silence as Minnie leaned into his shoulder.
