(A/N This is a story where Rex finds a way to travel back to the present for his two best friends. The story starts from the last episode.)

Everybody was at the Taylor's house. The Alpha-gang and Rex's parents were getting ready to travel back to the future. Everyone was saying goodbye to everyone. Except Rex. He was in his room, sitting on his bed, trying not to cry. He still couldn't believe that there was no way to go back to the present to visit his friends someday. "There's gotta be a way" he thought. "When I go to future I would do everything I can to build a time machine! "He decided. Then he stood up, took one last look at his room and went to the others.

" Rex, honey it's time to go. "his mother called." Ok mom but can I have a word with Max and Zoe privately? " the boy asked." Of course. "His mom said and went into the spectral-pirates ship. Everyone else was on board already.

" So... That's it I guess.. "Max said.

" Yeah.."Rex started" Max I just wanted to tell you that you were not my best friend through all these years. You were my brother. Thank you for all the adventures together and I hope someday we'll see each other again. Both boys had tear in their eyes as they shared a hug. Zoe was already crying.

"And Zoe..." Rex began"Thank you for all the times together. Thank for always being on my side when I needed someone. I will miss all the momen-"

Rex was cut off by Zoe wrapping her hands around his neck while sobbing onto his shoulder.He went red of course.

" I don't want you to go" she cried.

"You know I have to.." Rex said "But you know what Zoe when I go to the future I'll study hard and do whatever it takes to come back and see you one day I promise."

Then the Max came into the hug too and the three stood for a minute, embracing.

"Zoe.. I..." Rex began but before he could say anthing else the trio saw Laura coming from the ship. "Rex we really gotta go" she said.

"Ok, here I come" said Rex "Bye guys. I'll miss you. "

"Bye Rex" the two friends said. Rex got in the ship and then a portal opened and the ship flew into the future.

Max and Zoe stood there for almost an hour watching the empty sky. Then looked at each other and without saying a word headed to their homes.
