DCOU: Blue Lantern

A Green Lantern fanfiction

Prologue

Many years ago, a war waged across the vast reaches of the universe, a war between the will-powered Green Lantern Corps and the Sinestro Corps, feeders of fear, the Yellow Lanterns. Both were powered by strange yet powerful rings, fuelled by their respective emotions, with the ability to turn their thoughts into fully projected physical objects and weapons. Like any conflict, causalities were a plenty high, it seemed peace and negotiation were out of the question.

The Guardians of the Universe, the immortal alien beings that established the Green Lanterns, considered themselves wise and proper authorities due to their being stern and devoid of emotion. Two members however, Ganthet and Sayd, questioned this ideal believed that emotions don't make us weak and a good balance is what makes us who we are. This belief led to their banishment from their home planet of Oa.

So they travelled across many lightyears until they found a planet to call their new home, one they would call Odym. It was there they sensed a strong and powerful yet soothing and positive energy, and they eventually found and harnessed this energy in order to create a new kind of ring. It was there they soon established the beginning of a new Corps, the Blue Lantern Corps.

Elsewhere, a flicker of hope would shine from deep space, like a lighthouse warning away unsuspecting ships away from potential danger. This blue light would soon hold the line in spirit if not in strength...
