A Bored Hawkmoth Chapter 2

Thank you so much to the people who gave me feedback and support on the last chapter and gave me ideas to continue this story, I hope you enjoy. :)

Adrien was so happy, his family felt whole again. It wasn't the same as when Emile was around but it was good. He loved spending time with his father (who also seemed happier) and Nathalie already sort of felt like a mom to him since she had been helping him since Emile disappeared and had always been by his side.

The day of the wedding was the happiest day of his life. He had joyful tears in his eyes as Nathilie walked down the catwalk (yes it had to be a catwalk) modeling one of his dad's new wedding dresses. The dress made custom for Nathalie suited her perfectly, with the base that spread out like peacock feathers and the metallic blue trim. It matched Gabriel's suit that had a little purple tint to it. The cake was made by the Dupain-changs and was a realistic sculpture of Gabriel and Nathalie. Adrien stode proud to be his father's best man and as soon as the pair said "I Do" he ran up and hugged them.

One night Adrien couldn't sleep, he got up and transformed into Chat Noir. He started wondering about enjoying the fresh air and cool night breeze. Suddenly his enhanced cat senses noticed his dad and step-mom walking out of the house with two small packages and one bigger package. What are they doing? The Adrien inside Chat questioned. Why were his two beloved parents sneaking out? Chat silently took off after them. His cat like hearing picked up the whispers between them from a few blocks away.

"I'm very proud of you."

"Ya but where do we drop these off?"

"I don't know, Ladybug and Chat Noir don't have a mailbox."

"You could akumatize someone to give the miraculouses back."

"Let's do that tomorrow, for now let's head home and sleep."

Akumatize? Miraculouses? What was happening? Wait, was his beloved dad and step-mom Hawkmoth and Mayura? That couldn't be true, could it? Chat ran back home and de-transformed. He flopped on his bed and fell asleep, his mind racing.

Early the next morning he rushed to his parent's room and started questioning them.

"Why were you out in the middle of the night? What were you doing? What was in those packages?" Adrien yelled, at a very tired, confused, and startled Gabriel and Nathalie.

"It's time you tell him," Nathalie said with a sad glance at Gabriel.

Gabriel nodded and led Adrien silently to the portrait of Emilie. He pressed down on the secret spots and the elevator started moving a sad Gabriel and a shocked and confused Adrien.

"Dad,"

"Yes Adrien."

"What is this?" Adrien asked, looking around Hawkmoth's secret lair.

"It's Hawkmoth's lair."

"Wait, you can't be Hawkmoth, you were akumatized before," Adrien said hopefully.

"I akumatized myself," Gabriel muttered, staring away from Adrien.

"I.. I?" Adrien asked, falling to the floor crying.

"I was trying to get you your mother back," Gabriel said, teary eyed. He led Adrien back to the secret elevator and took them to the room that contained Emilie. Adrien ran up and hugged the glass tube that held Emilie. "I gave up being Hawkmoth for you, Adrien," Gabriel said, trying to comfort his crying son. Nathalie walked up silently behind the men.

"We were trying to find a way to give these to Ladybug and Chat Noir last night," she said, handing Adrien the packages. He slowly unwrapped them revealing the butterfly brooch and peacock pin and the gardian's book. Adrien scooped up the items and transformed in front of his stunned parents.

"You got them to the right person," he told them "I'll give them to Ladybug and say I found them lying on the side of the road with a note that said Hawkmoth has decided to resign; if you promise never to this again and we can be a happy, normal family. Deal." Both Nathalie and Gabriel noded, wanting nothing more.

When Chat Noir returned Gabriel told him about how he got bored being Hawkmoth.

"I wouldn't have been bored if I had known it was my amazing son out there," Gabriel said happily.

And Adrien smiled, happy to be surrounded by his family.

I hope you enjoyed, have a great day.
