Kim Possible: Vamped

"Good morning, Kimberly," Dr. Director nodded as the redhead came into the office just after ten that next morning. "Do I take it you have something to report?"
"An idea of sorts. A way to undermine Gemini from the start before he can start any insane plotting this time," she told the one-eyed woman.
"Explain."
"We know he was trying to drive me out of Global Justice so he could conceivably grab me or sway me to join. We know he was using that mole to drive a schism between us all along. So, we make it seem it worked and I'm on the run and looking for refuge."
"That's a dangerous ploy," Dr. Director scowled at her.
"Not as dangerous as some I've used. And I'll be carrying a tracker so you can find us once he takes us to wherever his base is this time."
"He's bound to notice a tracker on you."
"But not on Dana. Let's face it, he'll be expecting her, too and she'll be an unknown, and less liable to be as carefully checked. Especially if you use a random sequential repeater so the beacon will only start broadcasting once a certain code phrase is used."
"It's still dangerous. Especially with Dana, since as competent as she is becoming she still isn't as experienced…."
"And he'd be even more suspicious if I were to take off without her. He has to know of her, too since his moles obviously had the run of your headquarters for at least three weeks. Dana has to go. Only I'll stay in the lead and kept Sheldon fixed on me. Which we both know he wants for whatever his reasons this time," Kim said firmly. "Once we reach him and the beacon gives you coordinates, you rush in while I distract him until you arrive."
"That's still a dangerous ploy."
"So is leaving him to scheme unchecked," Kim told her. "We both know what he is capable of and if we don't undermine him now before he can solidify more dangerous plans, we risk a far worse scenario than anything else I can imagine just now."
"And if he can trap or hold you as we did?"
"Let's be honest, Dr. Director. Of late, I'm far less likely to be held. In fact, I only went along with you at the start once I realized GJ was the one that snared us. Had you been anyone else….?"
"I take your point," Dr. Director grimaced, still a little unnerved by this far more dangerous redhead who had never been that easily managed even when she had still been more naïve and idealistic.
"We just need to let the word through his network out that Kim Possible has fled GJ and you're after us with all you have just now. That will make it look believable."
"That could be dangerous in itself."
"Not if you brief your team leaders and point out you're after me, but only so we can lead you to Sheldon. Keep Du out of it. He's still much of a wildcard to my mind. I don't want him to make decisions regarding me or Dana. I don't trust him," Kim spat in audible disdain.
"He is a good agent, Kimberly…."
"He's a bootlicking sycophant that would put us both down without blinking and justify it with a dozen regulations he would quote while rationalizing his own actions. Don't think I'm still naïve, Dr. Director. I read that envious little boy like a book these days. If necessary he is a book I will shred, though. Keep him out of the field on this one."
"You won't have to worry," Dr. Director finally told Kim. "Only what kind of code do you intend to use that your beacon might not be accidentally tripped too early?"
"One that no one is likely to use. Program the beacon to activate when Dana or I use the phrase, 'Krelandra lives.' I doubt even his mole has that information on me since it's all classified and only mentioned between us in private conferences," Kim told her, proving she somehow knew Betty wasn't filing those sessions.
"I'll see to two beacons. One for you, and one for Dana. If you even get close to the base, though, you will set off the beacons before Gemini has a chance to even scan you or find and subvert them. Even a close lock will be more than what we need."
"Use Wade to track us. He's good at it," Kim remarked.
"That I know. Just…be careful, Kimberly. We really do want you both safe."
"I'm not into suicide missions myself, Dr. Director," Kim scoffed. "I'm certainly not going to risk Dana's life. I'm the lead, she stays in the background. With luck, we'll thwart Sheldon and put him down long enough to unravel WEE's new rise," the redhead smirked confidently.
"Just be careful and try to stall as long as you can. We can have strike teams standing by but we have no idea…."
"We both know he favors underwater bases. Have your teams waiting on coastal areas because we know that Sheldon is a creature of habit. He may move the bases he uses but he always favors deep waters when he goes to ground."
Dr. Director nodded, and said, "That gives us four primary sites that are most likely but I don't want to focus too tightly because this might be the one time he makes an exception."
"We'll find out. I'll brief Dana and get ready. Just tell your people to expect a big scene soon and once you have the trackers ready, we'll blaze. Likely tonight."
"So, before nightfall. That is, I'll deliver the beacons before nightfall. I'll ensure one of the moles is nearby and can see us…disagree."
"Right. Sounds doable. Just ensure Du is out of this. I still don't trust him," she said again.
Kim nodded as she only sighed, and then turned to leave.
"You might decide to slam the door and set the stage with some of your more typical complainings."
"I don't complain," Kim suddenly exploded, stalked to the door and jerked it open, looking back to wink. "And I mean it," she shouted. "I see Du shadowing us again, and he's going to really get hurt."
Kimberly slammed the door behind her departure as Dr. Director all but felt the force of genuine emotion from her, and didn't think that was as feigned as Kimberly likely intended.
The head of Global justice grimaced, knowing Kimberly had always been a woman of strong passions. Only like everything else about her, her new changes had amplified all she had been, and that included her emotions.
She grimaced and decided she might need to keep Will Du close if only to ensure he didn't do anything to truly set her off. The last thing she needed in this operation was to have Will send Kim off in a temper and perhaps risk her actually trying to bail on all of them.
Vow or not, Betty wasn't altogether sure that Kimberly would care if she interpreted Will's manner as some kind of betrayal. Dr. Director had not forgotten that Kimberly had very explicitly made her vow open-ended at the start. So long as they were helping them the two women would stay. If Kimberly decided Will's behaviors suggested that aid was ending, even Betty wasn't sure what the redhead might do.

"What now," Dana asked later as they huddled near a warehouse in the shadows, listening to the night around them. "Because I don't mind admitting, this is getting kind of scary now."
"You can manage. Because I know you're stronger than you realize yet, Dana," Kim told her as she glanced around again.
"I get what we're trying to do. Only I haven't…"
"You still need to work on your senses, Dana. We're being watched now. Three men. One is closing. I'm betting it Gemini's men."
"How could they have followed….?"
"Trust me, that loon has people everywhere. They didn't have to follow. Just keep their eyes open since we made a point of not hiding that well this time. They probably had lookouts that spotted us and then closed on us once we stayed here. Now, get ready to playact. He's almost in range for normal hearing, so be quiet."
Dana grimaced and then a moment later she did hear someone stumbling through the darkness and cursing as he obviously tripped on something.
The steps staggered several times and then Kim finally growled, "Just use your flashlight idiot. We already know you're there."
The man gave an audible gasp but flipped on a powerful light that sent a beam of light through the darkness.
He gasped again when it landed on Kim and illuminated her and Dana sheltering just behind her.
"Now, tell me who you are and why I shouldn't leave you for the rats," she added and the man daringly came closer.
"I'm with WEE," the man said. "Gemini heard of your….changes. He knows GJ is turning against you and offers you shelter."
"Right. Because that one-eyed loon isn't as bad as his sister? What's his angle, Hench and why shouldn't I just end you and keep anyone from finding us."
"And where else will you go. Sooner or later GJ finds you again. Or someone else. Do you think they'll leave you alone? Gemini offers you a place where no one will imprison you, or make unfair demands."
Kim laughed now.
"Well, he might ask a favor or two. Isn't that what you do, though? Offer favors for favors. And he is giving you a place to hide from mutual enemies."
Kim stepped boldly forward, well aware of the two men still out there, watching and waiting with weapons likely aimed at them.
"And why should I trust you, little man. I know how often you people turn on one another. How do I know this offer is real and you're not just out here as a double-agent for someone setting me up," the very scary redhead demanded as the man shuddered in genuine fear as she closed on him, giving him a very good look of her gleaming, crimson eyes and glistening fangs when her lips parted.
"I….I'm loyal only to Gemini," he virtually whined. "I know he punishes anyone that betrays him. No matter how far they run, he always finds them, so I stay loyal and only to him, not wanting….to die," he whimpered, cringing as she leaned close, and sniffed at him.
"You wet yourself," she smirked now, chortling darkly. "Am I that frightening to you now, Hench?"
"We… We know you're a real….v-v-vampire," he stammered. "Don't bite me. I'm really here to help you," he squeaked.
"Kim," Dana asked, coming up behind her again in a shy and bashful manner that was not all feigned. "Maybe we should listen. We have to find someplace to hide before sunrise. And it's getting really late."
Kim made a show of eyeing her, frowning thoughtfully and then finally grumbled loudly as she declared. "Very well. Only if your master betrays us, I may not leave anyone behind us this time if I have to bail again," Kimberly told him bluntly.
The man swallowed hard, and said, "He won't," even as he turned and obviously resisted the urge to run as he gestured to the nearby docks where the other two men waited. "We have a mini-sub waiting. It will take you right to him."
"All right. Lead the way, lackey. I favor not letting men like you at my back," she smirked.
The man walked and quite swiftly up the wharf to the dock where the men waited.
"Don't panic," he said. "Theta and Kappa are with us."
"I wasn't panicking, Hench," she growled. "I was thinking I haven't had a thing to drink all night, and here you brought….spares."
Both men looked alarmed and one man held up a small insulated tote.
"We brought you fresh blood. A token of our sincerity," the surprisingly composed men declared.
Kim made a show of tearing the carrier open and pulling out the four fat packets and smiled coldly as she handed two to Dana.
"Looks like you're not complete idiots. Lead the way, little lackey. I'd rather not be here if that woman shows up with the sun due soon to rise."
The men all shuddered as she and Dana then bared and sank long fangs into the hard plastic, quickly drinking the offering dry before tossing the packets aside.
"Uh, before you get on the sub," one of the men said nervously. "We have to scan you. In case of…. You know….bugs."
"You think I still have tracking beacons," Kim sneered. "You think I want anyone tracking me these days," she demanded.
"It's just… They might have been hidden on you without you knowing it since you were…. You know, captured by Glo…."
"Don't say that name," she snarled now. "They are not justice. They are glorified cops and know nothing of justice," Kim spat.
"Damn, she's worse than Pepe," one of the men murmured at Kim's reaction.
"Still," she went on as if she had not heard. "You make a point. They were the ones supplying our clothing lately. Scan and do be thorough," she demanded.
"S-Sure," the man with the detector said, and ran it over her front, back, and sides. "All clear," he nodded.
"Don't forget my friend. I freed her and she is with me now."
"We, ah, heard."
A few moments later, the Hench with the detector put it away, and nodded, saying, "Looks like they didn't think of bugging you or your clothes."
"That woman likely thought we couldn't escape," Kim scoffed.
"Right," the men said, and only then climbed down to the waiting mini-sub. "It's only got room for four, so you two take them to the boss. I'll try and leave a false trail for them in case they get this far," the first Hench told them.
"Oh, no. One of the others can do that. You, lackey, stay with us. If you lead us into a trap, I want you next to me."
"But…"
"Because you're the first I'll gut," she said, flashing her fangs again.
The men eyed one another and Theta declared, "Just get in, Lambda. Kappa, leave the trail and make sure it's good enough to dupe those pretentious cops," he ordered.
"Right," the Hench nodded and then climbed back up to the wharf where Kim noted he was collecting the discarded blood packets.
"Clever man," she said with an approving smile.
"If you'll just get…..inside," Theta gestured and just that fast Kim and Dana vanished.
"Where did they….?"
"You coming," Kim demanded, her head rising from the open hatch. "Or must we find our own way?"
Lambda whimpered and shook when Theta said, "You first. I have to pilot."
The Hench slowly climbed into the cramped sub and settled just in front of Kim who eyed him with cold, red eyes in the dimly lit interior.
"So, ah, you are…real vampires," Lambda finally asked. "I mean, just like the movies."
"Oh, no," Kim said. "We're much worse."
"Worse," the man squeaked as Theta climbed into the sub and sealed the hatch before taking the pilot's seat.
"Worse. Because movie vampires are idiots. We are not," Kim told him. "So don't think to dupe us."
Theta only eyed her but said nothing.
Even as Kim suddenly yawned and the man smirked.
"Just relax, Possible. We'll have you delivered safely in no time."
"I'm not….Possible. I don't use that name any longer," she grumbled but felt strangely sluggish just then.
"No?"
"No."
"So, what name do you use?"
"Krelandra," Kim said quietly, eyeing Dana who was now dozing off without a word. "Krelandra lives," she murmured quietly so they didn't hear the last. Her own keen ears heard that faint chirp in her ear, though and she knew the beacons had just activated.
The man smirked.
"Whatever you like."
"You drugged us," she hissed.
"Safety. Ours and yours. Wouldn't want you overreacting to anything," the man said. "Not in this tiny sub."
"I'll remember you," Kim snarled and fell unconscious.
"You're not afraid of her," Lambda asked as he made another squeak when she fell forward, landing on one of his shoulders in the tiny sub.
"She's not much for all the posturing. If GJ held her for so long, so can we. Only we'll have an advantage."
"What advantage," the Hench asked.
Theta smirked, and glanced back as he stabbed a thumb at Dana.
"Her. Our mole told us she was insanely protective of the blonde. We threaten that one and the redhead has to do whatever we say."
Lambda eyed the unconscious redhead with a dark scowl still etched into her features and wasn't so confident. He made a decision he was going to volunteer for any operation that got him back out of the headquarters just as fast as he could. Something told him this was one gambit that was going to backfire and bad. He had no wish to be there when it happened.
