Welcome back everybody to another chapter of Legend of Hiro. This is a request so I will not be changing the main characters name, Hiro. If you have a fanfiction you wish for me to write like this one then PM me as well as any OC's you want to see in any of my stories PM with the details. You will be credited just like sketchywolf, who provided the original idea and made the request for this story. Without further ado, onto our feature presentation.

Hiro walked along the path home with his brother. The sun was dipping in the sky and a pleasant silence had settled between the two. Several students passed them by, also on their way to either the shopping district or home. Some gave odd looks to his brother but neither paid it any mind. Ichigo was used to it and Hiro wasn't going to encourage the onlookers to respond vocally to the thoughts that were obvious among them.

"You wanna get the old man?" Ichigo let a brief twitch take the corners of his mouth into a small smile.

"Was that even a question?" Hiro shrugged.

"Have to make sure." They arrived at the door and Hiro stepped to the side and presented the door with a low bow. Ichigo cautiously opened up the door but found no attack waiting. The twins shared a confused look.

"Where's Goat-chin?" Hiro questioned with a whisper.

"How should I know?" Ichigo hissed in response. Carefully stepping inside they could hear voices coming from within. "He's talking to someone." they both furrowed their brows. Could it be a patient? That wasn't right, he had an office for that. Then who the hell? The two teens burst into the room and stared at a white haired man. He wore a blinding, bleach white uniform that reminded them of what Isshin wore when he was operating.

"Who the hell is he!" Hiro sighed as Ichigo had his outburst.

"What have you been teaching your kids Isshin? Do they greet all of your guests in this manner?" Isshin grinned and jumped up to embrace his sons only to receive twin fists to the face. The guest adjusted his glasses without revealing the smile he held inside. Isshin just jumped back up, his grin never wavering.

"I taught them how to be men!"

"Before this devolves into chaos I suggest we let them know why I am here. Shall I?" Isshin got serious as his face hardened and nodded to the guest.

"I guess it can't be helped." He gestured to their guest. "This is your Misaki's adoptive brother and head of Karakura Hospital. Ishida Ryuuken."

"Quite. I am here to tell you that neither of you or the rest of your family, are fully human. You are Quincy." Ichigo and Hiro took a second before all hell broke loose.

"WHAT?" Ryuuken let them burn out as Isshin and he were bombarded with questions. Isshin sighed as he shared a look with Ryuuken before a smirk crossed his face and his eyes lit up.

"We would tell you but your amazing daddy sealed his powers, but Ryuuken over here has no such restraint on him." The death glare was ignored by Isshin as he disappeared leaving the Quincy with the teens.

"Ryuuken-ojisan? What's a Quincy?" The man sighed, he never wanted to get involved but relented under the constant badgering from both Isshin and Kisuke. They had saved Misaki and he owed them, they better not ask him to help out beyond what he already was asked to do.

"A quincy is a human with high spiritual pressure that found a way to use that spiritual pressure to fight against Hollows. To answer the question I already see forming, Hollows are souls that never left the living world and lost their sanities and hearts. They are monsters and should all be destroyed." Hiro and Ichigo shared a look and nodded before both bowing.

"Please train us to be Quincy." Ryuuken shook his head as a stray white lock fell in his face. Brushing the offending strand aside he rolled the thought around in his head. He had made up his mind a long time ago to not take on the mantle of Quincy and complete Uryu's training and now he had two more brats asking for his knowledge. He wouldn't hear the end of it from Isshin though if he did nothing and something did happen. Damn Masaki for getting involved with that soul reaper. Resigned to his fate he glanced at the still bowing forms of the teens.

"Meet me at the Hospital. Isshin knows where to go from there. Get there before dawn tomorrow and don't be late." The looming threat being the last he spoke before he vanished from his seat and Isshin crept out from behind a wall. Standing proudly he embraced his sons before they could react and jumped around.

"Get away from us old man!" Ichigo and Hiro struggled before Isshin made the mistake of setting them down and was sent hurtling into a wall with a crash. Karin joined them downstairs after all the noise with Yuzu not too far behind.

"Big brothers? What's going on?" Isshin was about to say something but was sent flying when Ichigo punched him square in the face.

"Goat-chin has some explaining to do and then we're going to the Hospital, all of us." Hiro and Ichigo glared at Isshin as he slowly rose to his feet. The ebony haired man dusting himself off before sending a serious look at his children.

"I guess it's time to tell you how I met your mother." A grin took his face as he barked out a laugh. Everyone just rolled their eyes at how quickly he went from serious to his usual self.

The next morning everyone had arrived at the hospital as Isshin led them to a lower level and a door that Isshin had to touch before it glowed a bright blue. The previous night Isshin had talked about how he had met Misaki as well as what she was and what he was as well as what that meant for his kids.

Isshin led them to a large room filled with pillars and completely white.

"Here we are. This is Uncle Ishida's training field." A bright blue arrow hit the ground in front of them as a young boy, about Ichigo and Hiro's age, stepped out from behind a pillar.

"Halt! Who dares step into father's training field! Answer me humans!" Isshin smirked and rushed to the boy to lock him in a hug. The poor boy squirmed with all his might but couldn't break the hold. Everyone sweat dropped.

"Oh nephew! You have grown so big since I last saw you!" Uryuu stopped squirming to glare at Isshin.

"Who are you to call me nephew!" Isshin held the poor boy at arms length and grinned at his helplessness. Ryuuken stepped out from behind another pillar as stoic as ever.

"Calm down Uryuu, this is the man who married Misaki. Your adoptive Aunt. Those children behind him are your cousins." Uryuu took a moment to take in the information.

"Are they also Quincy's Tou-san?" Ryuuken adjusted his glasses as a gleam shone from the lense.

"They have the blood for it, some will be better than others though. I will be training all of you." An imperceptible sigh left his lip with everyone but Isshin ignorant of its presence. Ryuuken would have his hands full for quite some time.

"Really!?" Uryuu was over the moon with more people to train with. This would be so much fun!

It was not fun. It had been several months and only Hiro and Yuzu seemed to have any kind of ability in the Quincy arts. Ichigo could barely form a bow and sorely lacked the fineness to use any of the other techniques, the teen hada surprisingly good blut though. That's not much of a surprise as Misaki had one of the best blut vene but his blut arterie. Karin was farther along with being able to fire arrows but lacked the accuracy and could only fire a handful of arrows before tapping out. Hiro on the other hand had been able to form his bow with Yuzu on their 3rd week and were now, not only, using blut to great extent but were firing more than 50 arrows per round without tapping out. Their hands got bloodied but that was healable. Ichigo was getting frustrated and a surge of reiatsu would always explode out from him. It felt heavy and dark but nobody either seemed to notice or paid it any mind. More often than not Ichigo was with Isshin as he was taught more about the shinigami arts with his father with Karin joining the two after another week. They seemed more inclined to those arts and Ryuuken wasn't complaining, it meant less work for him and that showed.

Hiro's and Yuzu's training escalated when they were told to spar against Uryuu who was leagues ahead of either of them. Especially since Ryuuken had picked up his training as well. All seemed to be going well with training but Ryuuken and Isshin felt that things were going to get interesting soon. They would need the kids as strong as possible for the coming storm so Isshin and Ryuuken picked up their training and pushed the kids as hard as possible. A war was brewing and they would be royally pissed if they let their kids get hurt because of their own inaction. These kids would be forced to be reckoned with when they were done.

Ryuuken smirked for the first time in years. Beware Soul Reapers. Winter is coming.
