Uno reverse card in Rio? Well let's find out what happens :)

The sun was rising in Rio de Janeiro. Deep in the jungle, a group of birds came out of their hollows and started singing their favorite song, Real in Rio.

During all the singing and dancing, a female blue macaw chick was sleeping all alone in her hollow. She woke up after a while with a smile on her beak due to all the singing. She walked up to the hollow's exit and started dacing with the rythm. She then spotted a female yellow macaw teaching her kids how to fly and that made her want to fly too, so she fully extended her wings and got ready to jump, but after that, a net came out of nowhere and captured the birds that were flying right in front of her. In a matter of seconds, every bird was either trapped in a net or caged. The blue macaw chick tucked her wings in fear, but she lost her balance and fell out of tree. She tried as hard as she could to flap her wings but with no success. After she hit the ground, she started calling for someone, but that only gave away her position and she algo got trapped in a cage.

Moose Lake, Minnesota

A truck full of exotic birds was going through the snowy streets. When the driver got distracted and didn't spot the red traffic light, he had to do a sudden breaking. This caused the truck the skid and hit a snow bump in the side. Due to the imense force, the latch on the back door of the truck broke and a crate was sent flying off. Inside it was the same poor blue macaw, scared, cold, hungry and alone. Immediately after the incident, a young boy came rushing to the crate and opened it with his bare hands (note: strong boi). He looking inside and spotted the poor baby bird. He genty reached out to her and obviously she was scared and flinched. She then forcefully stood on the boy's hands but was calmer after he said in a calming voice:

"It's okay, it's okay..."

He then moved a finger on top of her head feathers

"shh..."

He ran his finger through her head, to her enjoyment.

"I'll take care of you"- The boy said with a smile on his face

He brought the bird to his face and she comfortably cuddled on his cheek.

15 years later

Pictures. Pictures everywhere of the blue macaw and her owner. One of the pictures said "Cerulean for the win. Tulio Monteiro, age 14."

The young boy from before was now in his mid 20's. He was sleeping peacefully until his alarm clock reached 7:15 AM.

"ugh...stupid clock..." (Proceeds to smash the poor clock)

He then pulled the plug out hoping to make the alarm stop, but to his suprise, it kept going. "Hun?"

He looked up and saw his pet making the sounds while carrying his glasses. He gently pressed on her beak and she stopped squawking when she did a car alarm sound when it stopped.

She placed the glasses on her owner's eyes. He then chuckled and said:

"Good morning, Jewel" , while scratching her neck.

They then started their day of. Tulio was brushing his teeth, while Jewel brushed her beak, but since she was a very polite bird, she spat the toothpaste out, instead of swallowing it (note: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). C'mon, this is K rated xD).

Then they walked to the kitchen to get some breakfast. Tulio saw that Jewel was distracted, so he tried to give her her vitamins. But she was quick to spot it and moved her beak away in disgust.

"grh. come...here... argh!" Tulio struggled. "Jewel c'mon, you know these are good for you." Tulio then picked up Jewel's favorite cereal box. "Oh! What's this?" Jewel's made a happy squawk and Tulio took advantage of it as he shoved the spoon in her open beak. "Gotcha!"- He smiled, and Jewel squawked in defeat.

After breakfast, Jewel got on the police car toy and made siren sounds and she made her way to the stairs. She was very agile and easily jumped off and balanced on a rope, to slide down the stairs rail and perch on Tulio's arm. They continued their morning routine by booting up their computer, opening the curtains revealing the letters on the window: "Blue Macaw Bookstore", etc...

A few moments went by...

"Enjoy the new book!"

"Thanks Tulio" the customer smiled back at him and left the bookstore

Tulio then got his atention back on the phonecall

"Yes dad, i'd love to visit, but who would take care of Jewel? Dad...they don't have canals for parrots"

While saying this, Tulio brought a cup of hot chocolate next to Jewel's cage, where she was reading a book.

"Here is your hot chocolate Jewel, just how you like it"

Back to the phonecall

"Besides i can't leave Jewel with just anyone. No i don't have a 'birdsitter'. What's a 'birdsitter'?"

Meanwhile, Jewel opened her caged and walked to the cup. She smelled it and released a pleasured sigh. "Ah this is the life. 'sniff' 'sniff' The perfect marshmallow-to-cocoa ratio. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...6! Mmm" BANG! Jewel hear a thud of the window and made her jump a bit. She stared out the window with a serious face as she saw a snowball slide down the window, revealing two male geese laughing at her.

"Well, well if it isn't my favorite nerd-bird"- one of them said

"Very funny guys...real mature"- Jewel replied

"Hey pet! Where ya migrating to this year huh? The breakfast nook?- the other goose said, making them both laugh again and throw another snowball.

"Throw all the snowballs you want... I'm protected by this magical force field called 'GLASS'. It's what keep us so toasty and warm in here while you guys are out there freezing your-" -She was cut of when she saw the geese shaking their tails are her

"Classy..." she then went for a bite on her cookie but was stopped when she heard female voice that seemed like she was struggling with something. She then spotted a woman, also in her 20's like her owner, that was slipping a bit as she tried to walk on the icy ground.

She looked at Jewel and made a sudden smile.

"Arara!, arara!, araraaa...aaa... ohhhh"

She started slipping towards the window but luckily, she stopped in time.

Tulio came out the door and asked in a worried tone.

"Are you ok?"

"Hun? Oh yeah...yeah im good. I just wasn't built for this weather."

"Why don't you come in?"

"This was my final stop anyway"- She replied with a smile on her face

"Man it really is cold up here"- she continued

"So, are you looking for some books?"- Tulio asked

"Books? No...Nooooo... I have come 6 thousand miles, looking for her"- She said, gesturing her hand towards Jewel, who made a confused squawk.

She handed her card to Tulio

"Dr. of ornithology?..."

"Wow...she's so preety. Hey there little girl." The woman then started petting Jewel, but she didn't feel very comfortable with having a stranger just petting her like that.

"Tulio...a little help here. Tulio?"- Jewel said, but the humans could only hear her squawks

"Wow, looks like she likes you"-Tulio said

"Ummm...no...I don't...?"- Jewel replied, confused

"So, Dr. Gunderson, y-" Tulio was cut off

"No Dr. please. Just call me Linda"-She said smiling. "You know your macaw is a very special bird. In fact, as far as we know, Jewel is the last female of her kind!"

"Really?"

"Yes. And recently we've found a male, and our hope is to bring the two of them together to save their species!"

Jewel gulped while hearing this. She secretly always wanted another bird to call a friend and keep her company, but this was going too fast for her and the main reason she is going to meet him is to eventually mate with him.

"Oh yeah...yeah sure! When can he come over?"-Tulio asked

"Oh no, no. He's in Brazil. Jewel must come to Rio de Janeiro!"

"Oh...you know, i wouldn't mind. Rio is very pretty, but i can't leave Jewel out my sight, she needs me"

"Oh no, you missunderstood. It's all aranged. You will be with her every step of the way, and i will be with you!"

"Look, i know you're doing your job, but... Jewel is very particular, and we have our little routine here, and we're not big on travel. Heck, she doesn't even fly..."

"But of course she can fly! She's a perfect specimen." Linda said, inspecting Jewel

"Erm what are you doing?..." Tulio asked in a worried tone

"Don't worry, just hold your arm out and she will perch on it. Their natural instincts always take over"

"umm..ok..."

Linda then threw Jewel to Tulio's arm. She flapped her wings, but with no experience, she started to fall. Luckily Tulio caught her before she hit the ground.

"What kind of doctor are you?" Jewel said, angry at Linda

"Jewel! Are you ok?"- Tulio asked, worried about Jewel and he cuddled hed into his cheek.

"Perhaps she's too domesticated"

"It's was very nice of you to stop in and do your things and throw my bird"-Tulio said, sarcastically- "But now its time for you to go."

"Wait, wait, Tulio, Tulio! This could be our last chance..."
"Have a safe flight"-Tulio then shut the door on Linda's face and sighed in relief.

"Tulio, please listen to me. If we don't do this, her whole species will be gone!" - Linda then dropped her card in the mail thingy on the door- "Just...think about it?..."

Tulio and Jewel stared at each other.

A few hours later

It was night time. Inside the bookstore, Jewel was in a long table, with some books around.

"Natural insticts? Pfff. There's nothing natural about being thrown half way across the room. I'll show her. I can do this, i just have to work out the phsysics. I have quadrated my vector angles, i have ajusted for windshear, positive reinforcement-" Draws a circles around the word 'believe' written on a piece of paper"- "good. Ok, let's see...flaps open, perfect. Landing gear, check. Tails flaps, operational, and actually, not bad!. Ok...this is it, let's fly. Just keep it simple. Thrust, lift, drag, and weight... Thrusht, lift, drag, weight, thrust, lift, drag, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, ahhhhh!" Fear took over her and she stopped and the end but biting a wire, but it soon broken and Jewel feel down and got tangled in the wires. "Ahhhh, ow..."

Tulio hear the crash and rushed down the stairs

"Jewel!?"

Tulio realized that she wanted to fly and felt bad for her

A few minutes later

"I promissed i would always look out for you, didn't i? And have i ever broken a promisse?"- Tulio smiled, but soon dropped in and continued- "I'm scared too, but i wouldn't make you do this if it wasn't the right thing to do. What do you say Jewel?"

Tulio then held hist fist out for their classic fist bump, which they of course had one, and Jewel sighed in agreement and accepted it.

"That's my big brave girl"-Tulio said while petting her head feathers. - "And we'll be back home before you even know it."
