Chapter One

The Price You Pay

.

.

.

Haruno Sakura can feel her whole world turned upside down when Kaguya teleport both of her teammates to another reality. She could feel her whole world shattering before her eyes.

Naruto and Sasuke.

Gone…

All of her friends gone…

Kakashi-sensei…. gone.

Tsunade-sama gone.

Ino and Hinata…gone.

Sakura could feel hot tears wailing up deep inside of her and she bit her lip in angrily. She was still weak. After years of training under one of the famous legendary sannin, but she was still so far behind.

Sakura wanted to scream and to bang her fist down on the ground below her repeatedly. Why was she still so weak!

"Sakura-san, watch out!" Katsuyu exclaimed, sitting on her shoulder was the small version of Katsuyu. Katsuyu voice snapped Sakura out of her own sea of despair.

Kaguya was just a few mere feet from her. She looked stoic all the same in the white gray gown that hug her body. The fight between her and both Naruto and Sasuke seemed so far away.

There was not a single scratch on the woman and Sakura felt a huge rush of anger racing throughout her entire body. Anger at herself and this woman.

She needs to do something. Anything! Kaguya didn't even see her as a threat.

"You bitch…" Sakura muttered. The ground below her shook and with newly found power and resolve. Sakura threw an enhanced charka filled punch.

"Do not underestimate me!"

Kaguya disappeared instantly, dodging the punch and soon Sakura felt strong charka appearing right behind her. The hair on her neck beginning to stand. Goosebumps traveling down and then she felt that stone cold killer's intent.

Eyes widened in shock and dismay, she tried to get away from Kaguya's reach. The sound of clothes ripping echoed throughout the battle ground and Sakura snapped herself away.

Pain.

She felt the hot flaming pain.

Sakura wrapped her arms around her stomach. Sticky liquid running down her chest and to her hips and she sway.

No…

She must get away.

She must save both her boys.

Her friends and teammate counting on her, but she could also feel the sweet dark embrace of death just around the corner.

She must run.

Haruno Sakura was many things, but coward wasn't one of them.

The slug started to get to work sending small rays of smoothing charka down her master's body, little to help stop and bleeding and then Sakura took off. Kaguya right on her trail.

Sakura could feel her charka rapidly leaving. The further she got away the closer she felt her on her. Kaguya was planning with her but soon she will grow tired.

Sakura didn't know how long she been running. Hours? Seconds? Minutes maybe?

"Sakura-san!" The slug flew off Sakura's shoulder and Sakura felt herself being thrown. Her back connected with something hard.

She must fight.

She must save them.

Kaguya was now in front of her leaning down and with a soft hallow retched sound, the woman spoke.

"Now sleep little one."

Sakura eyes hardened glaring at death in the face and soon she felt the beating of her heart starting to slow. Newly found pain, but she will not give this woman the satisfaction of her dying.

Sakura didn't know how long she was staring, just waiting, but nothing came. The woman before her faded away along with her surroundings.

The noise then started to fade away, no sound of battle reached Sakura's ears and she looked around confused.

Was she dead?

What's going on?

Sakura didn't feel any pain. She then looked down her chest and the wound that should've been there gone. There wasn't any blood.

Sakura then turned around and was met with a huge black ancient double door. There was writing on it, but she couldn't understand it. It was written in another language, different from her own.

"You're awake."

She heard a childlike voice. Sakura bolted around quick. Her heart racing, she reached down to her thigh for a kunai knife.

The voice chuckled.

Her kunai pouch disappeared from her thigh.

"You wouldn't need that."

Sakura fist clenched down tight. Fine. No knife. She can break and destroy walls with her bare hands anyway, but then her brain caught up with her instincts.

"Who are you?!"

Sakura then saw a shadow being shaped into a form of a small boy. He was faceless, but she could see the huge grin forming on his face.

"I'm called many things. I'm known as god, creator, better yet I'm also known as Truth. I been waiting for you Haruno-san. What price will you pay to save the people you love?"

The answer formed on her own heart, Anything.

Sakura still don't get it. What was really going on. The figure smiled widely. She didn't even have to give him an answer. The double doors behind her creaking open. Sakura felt something latching on to her body.

She looked down and saw tiny black hands latching onto every part of her own body.

They began to drag her toward the open door, and she fought. She pushed against those tiny hands with a chilling scream.

She could hear this being 'Truth' laughter echoed all around her as she fought hard to get away from these tiny bundles of arms and hands and soon, she was fighting a losing battle.

Naruto.

Sakura struggled even more away, one of her legs was now inside the doors.

Sasuke.

Sakura felt her tears falling down her eyes as the hands and legs jerk her away some more.

Kakashi-sensei

Sakura punched one of the tiny arms powerless.

Tsunade-sama, Ino-pig-"
The arms jerked her whole body through the gate.

I'm sorry…

The gate slammed shut and Truth grinned very big at the show.

"Everything comes with a price, Sakura-chan."

Darkness. That was all Sakura saw the first few moments. The arms and hands detached themselves from her and she was falling, just falling.

The darkness starting to transform into one of many memories.

Sakura witnessed and felt the first time she ever felt alone and the time when she first met her best friend Ino. How strong and pretty she was rescuing her.

She felt loneness.

She felt guilt.

The first time she met Naruto. How her parents warned her to stay away from him and that he was strange. How she listened to her parents and the rumors.

If Sakura can change time, she would have gone back and changed all the choices she made and fix all the mistakes she done.

Sakura watched the memory of her first love. How he turned her back on her and her village.

She felt the red-hot emotion of betrayal when he tried to kill her that faithful evening but yet her heart forgave and love him.

She then also witnessed a memory of her goofy sensei. Kakashi who always treated her like a princess and always protected her. She knew that she reminded him of someone she couldn't place who.

Then her very last memory, she watched herself marching to the Lady Tsunade office and demanded her to train her.

All these memories then started to disappear one by one and she heard that childlike voice again-

"Everything has a price, Sakura-chan. What are you willing to give to save the people you love?"
