Hey everyone! Here's another fanfic for everyone to read, it's about Futurama which is one of my all time favorite shows.

Hope everyone has a great day and enjoy the story!

Remember; I'm just borrowing everyone because I can't keep them ;(

Leela sighed heavily as she continued to steer the ship past planets. The voices of Fry and Bender in the background playing around and breaking things were slowly driving her to insanity.

It was only them and Zoidberg because Hermes just didn't want to go and Amy was with Kif. Something about an anniversary.

Leela glanced behind her to see Fry and Bender chugging beers and throwing them around.

So the noise behind me was a drinking contest...

Leela couldn't help but think about Fry and what they were going to do for their anniversary. It was coming up in (i forget when it is exactly. Don't be mad...) a month and Fry hadnt said a word to her about it.

They had been married for 2 years now and Leela couldn't be happier. However, sometimes she just wanted to kill him so he would be quiet; like today.

It seemed like the pair were doing their hardest to annoy her and Zoidberg was somewhere in the ship doing god knows what, so he couldn't defend her.

The professor had sent them off to a planet called Zorferv to deliver an 'important' package.

Leela was curious about what the little box contained but she didn't dare open it.

Suddenly, Zorferv came into view and Leela carefully guided the ship down.

After the ship was parked, Bender and Fry took the package and headed to the drop off point. The planet itself contained peaceful people so Leela wasn't concerned.

After a couple of hours, the pair walked into the ship and said the drop off went perfectly. Leela inwardly smiled with relief, finally an easy mission.

Leela turned and slowly guided the ship upwards. Suddenly it lurched downwards and fell to the ground with a giant thud.

I spoke too soon.

Zoidberg rushed in looking annoyed. 'What's all the ruckus?'

'I don't know, the engine stalled.' Leela replied.

'Do you think the engine is damaged?' Fry looked concerned.

'Don't worry Fry, it's probably fine. Bender, why don't you go look.' It wasn't a question, Leela was telling him.

Bender sighed dramatically. 'Fiiiine. Look at all I do for you meatbags.' Bender headed out the door towards the engine room.

Zoidberg grumbled and headed back to wherever he was holed up.

Fry and Leela were the last ones left. Fry smiled and hugged her from behind. 'It's okay. Don't worry Leela.'

'I'm not worried.'

Fry let go of her and turned her to look at him. He gave her the eye.

Leela sighed. 'I just wish we had an easy mission for once.'

Fry chuckled and Leela cuddled into him. 'It's gonna be okay.'

Everything was far from okay.

It had been 4 days since Bender told everyone the engine was bad, but he could fix it.

That would've been fine except it would take atleast two weeks to fix if Bender actually worked on it. Plus, they didn't have any money or enough food.

They had asked the locals for help but they all refused. They were peaceful but didn't want to get into unknown affairs.

They were all starving and the heater had jammed as well so they were freezing cold. Zorferv had horrible connection so calling for help wasn't an option. It was like the universe was against them.

Leela and Fry were huddled up in their room together while Zoidberg was in another room and Bender walked around.

Fry was asleep but Leela could see he was shivering. He looked horribly pale and sick-like.

Leela couldn't figure out why he was getting sicker than the rest of them. Before she had a chance to dwell on it, Fry broke into a coughing fit.

His eyes blinked open and he sat up. Leela patted him on the back trying to help ease his lungs.

After a couple more coughs Fry fell back into the bed.

'Are you okay?'

'I just couldn't catch my breath is all..'

'Fry...'

'It's okay, Leela. I'm just not feeling all that well.'

'You're sick?'

'Not yet... I think I'm close to getting sick.'

'We don't have the supplies for sick people Fry...'

'It's okay... *yawn* A goodnight sleep will probably be the best option.'

'Okay...' Leela faced Fry and the two kissed quickly.

'Goodnight Leela, I love you.'

'I love you too Fry.'

Leela closed her eye and let sleep overtake her.

Leela woke up to find an empty bed. She looked around to find the room empty but if she paused just long enough... she could hear a faint sound.

She sighed and shifted out of bed when she realized it was the horrible retching sound of her husband.

Leela walked up to the bathroom door and opened it to see Fry hunched over the toilet.

She rushed forward and moved his red sweaty hair out of his face.

'It's okay.. you're okay.' Leela said reassurances and Fry went for another round.

After two more rounds, Fry finally sat up weakly and Leela was the one force keeping him from falling.

Fry was shaking and weak, his face flushed and drenched in sweat. He looked absolutely wrecked and horrible.

'Are you okay? Do you think your done for now?'

Fry grunted in response and Leela took that as a yes. She slowly helped him up and led him back to their room.

After Leela settled Fry down, she headed to the med bay. Zoidberg wasn't there either and Leela wondered briefly if he was even on the ship.

Leela found some old antibiotics and a bowl. The med bay was pretty much void of medical supplies and Leela noted she should buy some more when they got back.

Leela also found a couple bottles of water and headed back to her sick husband. Fry was unconsious and Leela didn't want to wake him.

It was going to be a long day for both of them.

Leela left the supplies there and looked around the ship for food that she could eat. She took stock of the small supply she found and shook her head.

Bender had to hurry the hell up.

The food could maybe last them two more days, at best three.

Leela ate her small meal and went to look for Bender. She was surprised to see him in the engine room, hunched over some metal pieces.

'Bender? Your actually working?' Leela couldn't help the surprise etched on her face.

Bender sighed and looked at her seriously, something he only did on special occasions.

'I may not need food, but... I know we're running low... I'm just worried about you meatbags.'

Leela was about to say thankyou but Bender quickly interrupted.

'And we.. ran out of. Beer. And I can't survive without beer!'

Leela knew he was hiding his worry behind selfishness but didn't comment on it.

'Well, good job Bender.'

Bender nodded and turned back to the engine parts spewed about.

Leela headed back to the room and saw Fry hadn't moved an inch. Leela smiled at how cute he looked sick but quickly went to work. She found another bowl and dumped half the water in it.

She put the cloth in the water and transported the wet cloth to Fry's head.

He sighed happily, even in his sleep he seemed to relax further at the cold touch.

Leela melted at how adorable he looked and moved the cloth slightly to kiss his forehead.

Sure, it would be a long night full of Fry spewing his guts and Leela being sleepless but it was worth it.

Because when Bender fixed the engine two days later, after Fry was finally feeling better; Leela smiled happily and guided the ship home.

And maybe, when they all finally reached earth the universe didn't question Leela when she curled closer to Fry that night and finally slept peacefully for the first time in the past week.

Yeah, it would be hard but Leela would always pull through.

Hope you guys enjoyed this little one-shot! I noticed I don't do any fanfics on animated series and knew that Futurama would be perfect to do a fanfic on!

I'm thinking about maybe making a fanfic where Leela is sick and Fry has to deal with her as a sequel but tell me how you feel about that!

Anyway, have a great day and stay safe! Talk to you in the the next fanfic, Bye!
