Here is the second entry within the

"Our chosen Path." Series.

This one will focus on Keigo this time. He won't receive a zanpakuto like Mizuiro ,but something just a bit different.

This takes place a month before The thousand year blood war.

So I don't own anything please enjoy!!

"Man they really didn't have to be that harsh..." A distraught Keigo says as he makes his way home.

The reason for his rather gloomy state. Once again he was rejected by his friends at the idea of hanging out. Sure he should be use to it,but as of lately it was becoming more and more apparent that it was more out of obligation than convince.

He had just suggested walking home together and immediately the secretive four (Ichigo, Orihime, chad and Uyru) declined the invitation like clockwork.

The one who he was actually surprised by was Mizurio, his best friend. He had declined saying he had to go do something with a lady friend. Though he did find it strange that his friend has been disappearing more to be with a lady, but it didn't bother him as much.

He even bothered Tatsuki if she wanted to walk home with him. The question was answered with low glare and rather uncomfortable face. Sighing he back off as he made his track home.

He was use to this now, the loneliness.

Even his sister had been showing up less and less in his life. Sure she was a handful, but family was family. At least with her around he wouldn't be as lonely anymore, though she gone and now he was left with a empty house.

His parents? They worked more than he'd like to admit and even took the invite to work over seas.

The last time he probably saw his parents being 5 years ago, right after they took the invite to work over seas. He remembered them being a happy family full of smiles and fun.

Now all he has are memories of them being happy, and he knew he was an annoying person. Yet if he didn't no one would acknowledge his existence. It was better to make your presence know instead of disappearing into the background.

He didn't want to admit it,but in truth he was disappearing. He was become an unknown to his friends as they lived their lives without him more and more each day.

And that was something he couldn't handle.

Talking another corner he had reached his house. Though he didn't expect a person waiting for him in a strange all white uniform. The man was tall and lanky ,but held a aloof expression. The man had black hair with white streaks and one long strand of hair casting down his face. The uniform oddily looking like something Uryu had designed with a similar insignia on his right shoulder.

"Does he know Uryu?" He thought to himself, but the bigger question was...who was this man? And why was he here.

Walking up the appartment steps to his home the man glanced over in Keigo's direction with a broad and wide smile.

"Keigo Asano?" The man questioned as Keigo notice the man's eyes held a lavender color. The high cheek bone structure of the man reminding him a certain individual that Ichigo had face a while back, but this man before him was more eccentric and laid back.

"Y-yes. Who are you?" He questioned with a slight stutter. The man made him feel slightly nervous as the man gave a smile.

"My name is Askin Nakk Le Vaar. It's finally good to meet you cousin." The man boasted excitedly, but Keigo looked confused.

"Cousin?"

Keigo Asano wasn't ever the brightest one in the room. He was cowardly to a point and very quick to judge no matter the circumstances. He was indeed gullible and a pushover, but he atleast knew when a person was feeding him a lie.

The man before him spoke in a genuime tone and even provide him with information about his family tree. Apparently his father was of half German descendant and Askin was a long lost cousin to the family.

So here he was drinking coffee with family that just literally popped into his life.

Frankly he didn't mind it, for as far as Keigo knew he wasn't alone in a empty house. He was in the company of someone who wanted to meet him and spend time with him. To him family was family, he wasn't going to reject this moment.

"So what brings you here actually? " Keigo questioned curiously as Askin took another sip his coffee. His eyes were focused on the mug for a moemnt before he spoke again.

"I'm leaving to be a part of a war. I had no prior family so I wanted to visit who I had left." He had spoken seriously making Keigo gape at the man before him.

"In fact, I'm goint to war agaisnt your friend, Ichigo Kurosaki." He said as the atmosphere became tense.

"Against...Ichigo?" Keigo questioned slowly as Askin eyed the boy infront of him for a moment before he reached into his pocket.

"Keigo have you ever felt that their is something wrong with this world?" Askin questions, making Keigo look up in confusion.

Askin places his hand on the table opening his palm upwards so Keigo could see the contents he held. One being a small vial filled with blood and the other being necklace holding a quincy cross.

"Their are many things we question in this world, our purpose, our lineage, our legacy. Some walk paths that lead to despair and some walk paths that lead to salvation. In this war I am mere pawn, but still I have a goal." Askin says placing both objects into Keigo's hand.

"W-why are you giving me these things?" Keigo stutteres confused at the person before him,but he felt as if he understood the words he spoke though.

"These are apart of the lineage you were denied. If we succeed than I want you to join us, but if we fail...than I'll be giving you my legacy." Askin says before getting up and walking towards the door. Keigo remained where he seated still starting down at both objects conflicted by the motion.

"I'm sorry to just drop this on you...but their are things bigger than us. It's up to you Keigo." Askin said before leaving Keigi alone once more with his thoughts again.

A week later he receives a package with a letter from Askin.

"This is if you chose your lineage, as a true quincy."The letter read and opening up the package he finds a wrist gauntlet. Curiously he placed it on his wrist as a a long bow appeared from the gauntlet.(A/n)

That same week that captain from the spirit world offered them soul tickets and telling them the possible fate of their friend Ichigo.

That day Keigo made his own vow, to be braver and show his worth. Remembering the vial he swallowed the blood and took the bow with him to the forest.

That night Keigo embraced his quincy lineage, and for the first time in his life fired his first arrow.

A/n

Akin's spirit bow is called Heilig PfeilThis was basically a long shot, but I like the idea of Keigo being a quincy.

Though he get the abilities of the Deathdealing they are the watered down version of it.

Also why Askin? The guy is basically underrated and with a OP ability. So passing that power into Keigo would be the more likely action to build his character.
