Soo.. What else to do when you just want to write something that is more lighthearted instead of it being serious all the time?

You do a new story!

And so here we have it, enjoy something that has been on my mind for a while before I continue back to Another Chance.

Onboard the Hyperion:

A Normal Day for Hyperion

"Thank you for showing me around the place, Captain. How was your trip?"

"Aha, no problem, Fu Hua. Also, the trip wasn't so bad." I replied back to the navy grey haired girl as I pulled the chair out and let myself rest in its comfy embrace. I tried to smile at the Valkyrie in front of me while doing my best to look normal, finishing up the remaining portion of paperwork I had to approve of as Captain before being able to rest.

I really didn't like to lie to any of the girls, but to be honest the trip just sucked. You'd expect white sandy beaches on a luxury private island with delicious food and amazing service- but all I got was just a hellish bootcamp where I'd get pummelled to death by the other Valkyries in Schicksal with a certain blonde Overseer laughing at my miserable ass- Could you even call that a trip?!

Suddenly, everything goes dark and a spotlight appears, shining on the one and only-

Yes, that's me. I clearly forgot to introduce myself. I'm the Captain of the great battleship Hyperion, though I'm not allowed to reveal too much information, I'm usually known as 'Big Whale', 'The 1000-Timer' or just 'Squirt'.

..You can figure out yourself what those mean.

Anyways, you must be thinking: how did I become the Captain of a great place full of girls no less?

...

Well, there isn't actually any cool catch to it- I just didn't have a job.

Sure, I used to be a Commander a few times, even a Doctor, or a Master but-

What? You think I was anything special? I mean, if you consider having a cool message sent to your phone on job recommendations and then suddenly a bunch of these people show up a few days right after you got rejected from an interview-

Geh, who am I kidding, that sounds a bit dumb. Though it resulted in the position I am now but I'm not gonna complain on a job that has high pay and being able to work with people that aren't assholes! (Otto aside.)

Speaking of the Overseer.. I'd be lying if I call him an ass. He is literally worse than that- he's like devil incarnate himself. You know when I mentioned this job gives me high pay? I don't get all of it most of the time.

Why?

The answer is the infamous Supply System. Expect an ordinary system with things you can buy as you please? No. The goddamn guy made it so you'd have to pay a certain amount of these hella expensive shiny blue rocks of the gods that I have to convert into with MY OWN MONEY in an attempt of a chance to get a permit.

A Schicksal-certified permit that gives the okay sign for him to grant me access to upgrades for the girls. Their own battlesuits that can give them more advantage and safety in the face of danger- locked away by a trashy cash money system set up by a rich spoiled motherf-

But sadly, instead of the permits? I get a crap ton of random materials which I already have stacks of! By stacks, I mean whole warehouses full of them. Upgrade, coins, Mithril, Asterite- I got all of em. And NOT A SINGLE PERMIT IN SIGHT-

I swear that Cabbage AI is secretly working with that greenhat cuck, or maybe Anti-Entropy is just rigging the system so 99% of the profit goes to them instead with thw 1% to them and then it leaves me with nothing at all!

And the girls, especially Kiana, ask me why I can't get them new things.

The dark abyss of the empty void that is, my wallet, stares at me often very much so. I can see the bleak future of my paychecks sooner or later as I wash them away as easily as water..

But alas, I love these girls so much, so I really don't have a choice but to eat sand everyday. Tea over rice is one hell of a luxury I tell you!-

"Oh, Captain. I forgot to ask you something."

I looked over from the desk to the girl standing before me, the spotlight disappearing and light filling the room once again. Hopefully she didn't see the drama I just made.

"And that is?"

"Did you tell the others that you are here?"

The pen I was holding onto slowly slipped out from my grasp as sudden realization dawned upon me.

"Oh- No.. I didn't.."

I started to sweat.

What have I done? Oh shit, I was too busy showing Fu Hua around the place that I forgot to let the girls know I'm back. Well, I couldn't help it. Maybe they'd accept that I was trying to show their friend around Hyperion since she's recently assigned to our group-

Wait wasn't this moment supposed to be the time for my introduction?!-

Behind the navy grey haired girl, the doors to the office suddenly slid open, filling the room with the outside blinding lights of the hallway. The two turned their heads to the newcomer that has just arrived to the room.

"Oh, it's just Kiana. Hey there-"

"Don't just 'hey there', idiot! We were waiting for you at the Bridge for hours! Why didn't you tell us you're back here?!"

"Quiet down, Kiana Idiotka. You're being too noisy-"

"Shaddup Bratnya! I didn't ask you! And Captain! Stop laughing!"

"I'm sorry. I forgot since I was just showing her around-"

Another voice calls out. "Kiana, Captain just came back and had to attend to Fu Hua who got lost around Hyperion so please stop fighting." Some laughter erupted upon that comment.

"..You didn't have to tell her the last part."

"But Mei-senpaiiii! Captain could have at least told me~"

"..Like I said, I didn't mean to forge-"

The sudden small subtle hints of sniffing caused everyone to freeze and I paused for a moment, mentally trying to select the words carefully.

"Kiana?.. Look, I'm sorry about-"

"Captain you idiot!"

Everyone cringed in the room as the silver haired girl suddenly loudly broke the door and stormed out of the room.

...

...

"Sooo.. Who's gonna fix the door-"

"..I'll go look for Kiana." The raven haired girl gently bowed before slowly and carefully trying to not break anymore of the broken pieces of the door.

"And I'll be taking my leave now! Bye Captain!" Another smaller sized silver haired girl left the office, with a red haired woman following suit.

The Captain was left alone with the Class Monitor of St. Freya once more, with a new addition of a door broken to the point it is impossible to fix and the only solution is to buy a new one.

Damn Kaslanas and their strength.

I sighed to myself before slowly turning to our newest member of Hyperion. Her always stony stoic features were now one of disbelief, her red glasses subtly unhinged and shifted to one side.

Seeing that, I couldn't help but chuckle which made the poor Valkyrie more confused, and that left me with no choice but to explain with a grin.

"Erm. Yeah, sorry about all of that. You don't need to sweat all of the details, we're quite the informal family here.. Haha. Welcome aboard Hyperion, I guess?"

A/N: Captain? Shameless self-insert? No. I'm making it so Captain doesn't actually have a confirmed gender in this story, it's up to your imagination.. For now.

Since it's gonna get a little complicated in the near future, MAYBE two Captains soon? Though if it's left to only one, I'll be sticking to female captain.

Watch me destroy canon itself to just make this a "wholesome, happy" story, and therefore changes will be made as such:

Hyperion can be whatever I want, and I can expand it with features I wish to be, obviously more scenarios to play onboard.

Battlesuits, such as characters and all will be handled in a different way. As mentioned, permits are one example.

Staff? Yes. Staff. Remember those people at the Bridge and in the elevator loading screen? Yes. But not all staff are human and robots will be involved. AI-chan is already an obvious example.

So far, that's all I have planned for this half-assed story. Short chapter? Tis an Introduction, the rest will follow with a reasonable length that is obviously longer than this.

Though I probably won't update much for this, since I do need time to carve out a chapter, and AC is currently my main to go.
