More reviews? Awsome. Now here are some responses

VGBlackwing: I am useless or is Ozpin useless? And I'm going to give the team a hard dose of reality. And I'll be rather cruel about it too. You'll find out what I'm going to do in chapter 4 or 5.

Blake: Glynda will teach them how to kill monsters. EMIYA(Shirou) will teach them how to kill humans.

TheEnderTheif and Zabaniya: Yeah. I'll try. I get that a lot.

And Thus is thy Tragedy: Chapter 3

Shirou POV

So this is Vale? While it's definitely more advanced than my world, I can still see ways in which my world surpasses this one. I mean, Earth isn't exactly plagued by grimm. I can't imagine living in constant fear day in and day out. At least as a counter guardian, I knew what I was going to do next. And I didn't have to worry about making it out alive. I didn't need to fear death. Because I am unknown to death, nor known to life. "Come on. Let's try this one."

The place looked pretty good. I've seen better places but I've also seen a lot worse. It had nice walls, a bar, and a decent number of tables. Even the silverware was nicer than expected. But due to my hateful perspective, I had other things on my mind to say the least. And Alaya must have noticed the look on my face when she started talking to me.

"Shirou. I know what you're thinking, and you're not wrong. People are hailed as heroes because they do something that pleases at least one person. People like Alexander the Great are regarded as heroes and villains. A hero to his people, and a villain to his enemies. But he was no hero. What kind of a hero conquers half the world because he wanted to see the ocean?"

"That depends on who you ask. I say he wasn't selfish but he certainly wasn't selfless either. He was simply ambitious. He just wanted to expand his empire. Taking over the entire eastern world was a good idea at the time considering its current state. But when he died, it all went back to hell."

"And yet he forced his rule on the known world."

"Yes. But he was noble. Like all heroic spirits, he died seeking a miracle only the grail could provide. His enemies remember him as a tyrant and his allies remember him as a hero and a great warrior. And have to see it fulfilled. Of course, counter guardians are a special case. We enter the throne through compromise rather than great deeds."

Did I have some nerve? Saying that? I don't know. And I perhaps I never will.

"You offer us power in life and we serve you in death. And have you noticed? These people believe in all the hero bullshit. Heroes are nothing but sacrificial lambs to someone or something. I mean, look at me. I am a living example of that.. And even if there was something called a true hero, how long will they live? How long can they stay true to their beliefs? I followed my ideal past the supposed end and look at where it got me! I was reduced to a mere murderer and cleaner for humanity! These people go around acting like heroes do exist. As much as I hate it, I'll accept that as long as it's just the common folk. Besides, not everyone knows how to kill. Like it or not, the academies teach teenagers how to kill. And if the system is as fucked up as I think it is, we'll have people shouting out how they'll be heroes but will only die an early death. The lucky ones at least." Dying and early death means you don't have to watch your friends die.

We were attracting a crowd. We weren't talking very loud but it was our topic that was the attention getter.

"I agree. The naivety of this world makes me want to puke in this body I made. And the hunters and huntresses in training? They're worse than you. At least you knew when to quit." I agree. The hunters, regardless of status, have no place to talk. Grimm or not, they're learning how to kill. I hope these people know what they're getting into. Before it's too late. I clenched my fist so hard, my knuckles turned white. "They believe that they can save more lives than humanly possible and achieve greatness beyond themselves. And all that gets you is betrayal and death upon a hill of swords."

"Most people are more like ghosts than they realize. And certain age groups come closer than others." Quite the crowd we have. And this just a tiny speck of the cold, hard world they live in. "They only see what they want to see. A little girl will only see the beautiful roses but an old man will see the blood of those who died on that battlefield. And he is glad that the place turned into a bundle of joy rather than a permanent scar on the land.

"People Live their Lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That is how they define "Reality". But what does it mean to be "correct" or "true"? They are merely vague concepts... Their "Reality" may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to be simply living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs? That is the height of idealism. And I want you to know; you were never wrong."

"I've wanted to hear those words for a long time. Thank you Alaya." I wasn't channeling any mana. So what I was about to do was safe. Because if I was, all these people would have an excuse to say, 'I saw hell'.

"I am the bone of my sword."

She looked at me for a second, eyes widening as she realized what I was doing.

"Steel is my body" We said it together. Each with tears in our eyes.

"And fire is my blood."

"I have created over a thousand blades"

"I am unknown to death, and yet somehow still unknown to life"

"I have withstood so much pain, in order to have created so many weapons"

"So it is then, and I pray"

"Unlimited Blade Works"

"Oh Shirou. You prayed for a miracle and got one. You strived for victory and achieved it. You're life and death was nothing but tragedy. And yet you find the will to carry on. I don't understand and probably never will. But I know you'll keep trying...until all the world's evils...have been eradicated."

We sat there in total silence. You could hear a pin drop. You didn't need to be mage to know what we just said. That was a down right tragedy. The things we give and the things we don't get. If I was given a choice to save the world, I would immediately say yes. But it's only then would I find out if this world is worth saving. Looking around, I noticed the women crying and the men looking like they were about to puke. MY guess is that the girls felt Alaya's guilt, remorse, and love while the boys felt my regret, hate, and Root forbid, got the slightest idea of what my reality marble looked like. They would have nightmares for ages

Next on the agenda, food because that was downright depressing and food would be good right now. But I needed to end or our food would never come. Thankfully, Alaya beat me to it.

"You know what you heard. After this meal, go home and think about everything that was said. And if you still believe in a world where everyone is happy. And on a better note. Waiter? Can we get our menus please?"

"Of course ma'am. Can I get you something to drink?"

"Just water."

And the rest of the day went off without a hitch. But our conversation never left anyone's mind.

"That was quite the conversation. It's not often you hear two 'people' talking about how bad the world is. However. if we're not careful around the masses, we might start a revolution. A revolution is the very last thing this place needs. Anyway. We have another two weeks before we have to start. In that time, we should probably start preparing a curriculum. Battle psychology, survival in an unknown environment, anatomy, and overall combat works. Do you have any recommendations?"

"No I agree. But the whole unknown environment thing could get dicey and has the potential to tits up real fast. Don't lie to them, but at the same time, don't tell them the whole truth. There's no need for that."

"And if it does, what do we do? Do we teach them anti-never mind. Bad idea. I doubt they could handle that."

Time skip 2 weeks

"Shirou. Is it safe to assume you know what your job is?"

"Yes it is."

"Good. Don't interfere with initiation no matter what. But I'll need you to shadow them in case they try anything stupid. Oh and if you see any 'pawns', take care of them will you?"

It wasn't hard to figure out what I meant. Thankfully, it wasn't my usual massacre where I took out a good chunk of the human population no matter what world I entered. Ending the conversation, we walked over to the observation tower overlooking The Emerald Forest. It was a good spot, especially for an archer. However, If a Goliath decides to come wandering in the forest I'll have to do something. If those idiots die doing something stupid, not my problem. But I don't feel comfortable having an armored overgrown elephant so close to civilization. Although, it's not it'll get very far. Gáe Bolg should do the trick. And if that doesn't work, Caladabolg or Hrunting should do the trick. I know from experience that those things are like tactical nukes. The difference being those two can outrun anything this world has to offer. Up to 2x the speed of light and up 1.5 the speed of light. Those things vaporize everything in the blast radius and the shock wave can shatter every bone in your body. Or in my case, a nice breeze. If you consider tornado level winds to be a breeze.

Ozpin POV

"Would all first year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? I repeat. Would all first year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Thank you." Ah yes. Another year and another round of potential huntsmen and huntresses. I knew a lot of them would die in that forest but then again, this job was not for everyone. I've seen many people drop out and become very successful in other places. Or at least, go into one of the less violent fields like medicine. You're less likely to be killed by grimm but you still see some pretty scaring things. He's right after all. This world isn't the sunshine and rainbows that people believe it to be. The huntsman create this image for the sake of the masses. And now I'm a little worried. Because talk like that is how you start a revolution. I'm not a power hungry fool, but I'll need to remain in power to keep people like James. One of these days, he's going to dig himself a grave he can't get out of. And when he does, I might not be there to save him. I rubbed my temples to try and ease the oncoming headache. Okay. Time to get to work.

"For years, you have trained to become warriors. And today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." And I was going to explain how teams were going to be made but Glynda interrupted me.

"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors of the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to this confusion. Each of you will be given team names...today."

But Ruby didn't seem too happy for "some reason". Introvert, weapons nut, 101. Not surprising. She groaned.

Yes. I can finally finish my speech.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well with."

Ruby let out another groan.

"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with will be your partner for the next four years."

And the little red riding hood groans again. But Nora just gives Ren the 'I told you so'.

"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy anything in your path, or you will die.

Jeane gulped and chuckled nervously.

"You will be monitored and graded along the way. But our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and then return to the top of the cliff. You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"

Jeane was asking about things like a parachute. He'll live. And one by one the potential students were launched at various distances into the forest. I sipped my coffee. I love this stuff. Makes the forced insomnia a little easier to deal with. And the concoctions Dr. Oobleck makes are downright amazing. Good for me? Nope. But it makes sure I stay awake long enough to get all the damned paperwork done.

And done. Next chapter will include initiation from Ruby's POV, Shirou(EMIYA)'s opinion on how they do, first few classes, and maybe put someone in his place. If it's not over 4.6K. And I've made the characters very OOC. So I'm going to ask. Has this chapter finally ruined it and you guys want me to rewrite it or keep going?

Words count: 2.4K for some reason. the website glitched sooooo here's a link to a longer one
