As the sun rose upon the land of France there were many things that one could pay attention to. One could look to the dragon witch continuing her campaign of revenge. Another point of interest may be the people of France, trying their best to survive the onslaught of dragons. One could even look further away to the stargazers of Chaldeas as they prepare for rayshifting.

However we will be looking at none of those, instead our attention is brought to a field within the region of Normandy. As the empty space of nature is lit up by the glow of a summoning circle and the focus of our attention is brought into this singularity.

I was

That is the only way I could describe opening my eyes to find myself standing in the middle of a green field as the sun rises. I didn't wake up, nor do I remember arriving here. I simply started existing in this field.

Although that is not entirely correct, I did exist before this particular piece of nature, I do have memories after all. It's just that I cannot recall anything that could lead me to this place.

It wasn't even like I had a gap in my memory, it was more like I stopped paying attention to everything. Like when you stop listening to a teacher and instead look out the window. I probably wouldn't have even noticed it if I was somewhere I recognised. Unfortunately that wasn't possible here, as not only are there no fields near where I live, there also isn't a giant ring of light in the sky.

Of course when met with such an occurrence that has no explanation, I responded as eloquently as possible "What the fuck!?"

I frantically look around at my surroundings, searching for any hint as to why I simply began existing here, panic welling up inside me before I start slowing down and trying to calm myself.

"Okay don't panic me, I'm sure there's an explanation for this" I mutter to the empty field in response to the sheer confusion and panic welling up inside me.

Right now my mind was filled with the question of how the hell I got here. Unfortunately the last thing I can remember clearly before opening my eyes was walking home and then it just fades and skips straight to the now.

Did I get drunk? It would explain the memory problem, I don't drink and it doesn't explain that ring of light in the sky.

Did I hit my head or something? That'd explain my memory problem and that ring of light as a hallucination of sorts. But I don't feel pain or even any discomfort.

Maybe I got kidnapped? Probably not, who would kidnap me just to leave me in some field? Also that doesn't explain the ring of light either. Wait…

"Does this mean I've been Isekaied?" I ask to the field around me. Honestly it's a decent explanation for how I got into this field without remembering, and most important of all it explains that giant ring of light in the sky. There are stranger things to see in another world after all.

It's either Isekai or I've been drugged and wandered into this field whilst hallucinating. Personally, I'm hoping it's the Isekai

Alright, now that I have a workable theory of how I got here, it's time to take stock of my surroundings. With a quick look to my surroundings I can easily confirm it, I'm just in some random field. Great, I'm in the middle of nowhere and after a quick check I can tell I don't have my phone, or pockets, and that doesn't feel like my usual clothes, they're far too heavy and metallic.

This mystery was easily solved by looking down and seeing that I'm not wearing my usual clothes. Instead I see I've been outfitted in some armor; what looks to be chainmail covered up by white cloth, a gauntlet on my right arm that stretches up to my shoulder, and a simple vambrace on my left arm.

Alright this is definitely an Isekai, drugs don't give you armor. "Oh and what's this?" I remark giddily as I see the final part of my equipment, A sword stabbed into the ground. I eagerly pull it out and hold it up to get a better look at it. The sword had a long hilt and blade, though sadly it didn't look special, it seemed to just be an ordinary sword. "Well here's hoping it transforms. Anyway this a bastard sword right? Or is it a long sword? Ah who even cares, all that matters is that it's a sword"

I take some time to swing the sword around, surprisingly it feels pretty light and easy to swing.

"Alright I'm feeling pretty good about this, now it's time for my journey in this new world to begin" I proclaim to the empty field as I start walking in a random direction. 'Damn that was an embarrassing thing to say, i'm glad no one's around to hear it'

Of course after only minutes of walking I am interrupted by the roar of an animal. Immediately put on edge I quickly turn to look at the sound and see what looked to be a green figure rushing at me.

"Oh shit! I exclaim as I just barely dodge my green attacker 'was that a dragon?' Getting a closer look at the creature I can confirm that it looked like a small dragon with a green colour pallet, wings for arms, and the whole flying lizard look.

'Although wouldn't the arm-wings make it a wyvern? Oh shit here it comes again!'

Once more I manage to dodge its charge and ready my sword in preparation for battle. "Alright, I guess this is a dragon slaying Isekai, let's do this" I mutter as the dragon comes around for another charge.

I respond to the beast's charge with one of my own, ignoring the beating of my heart and the shaking of my limbs. I let out a roar with my sword raised into the air, ready to bring it down upon my foe.

Oddly it seems I was much faster than both I and the dragon thought, as I swing the blade down on the beast before it has a chance to react. With a spurt of blood the blade is lodged halfway into its body, a fatal blow. The sword is torn from my hands as the beasts momentum sends it tumbling to the ground.

For a few seconds I stare blankly to the horizon before slowly turning to look at the small dragon, I am greeted with the sight of a bleeding corpse. "Holy shit, I killed a dragon, I just killed an actual dragon!"

I can't help the grin that spreads across my face. Regardless of how much luck I had with that one strike, I had still killed some kind of dragon. Something most could only dream of doing.

I can't bask in this feeling forever though, I'll want to get moving and hope that I can find civilisation. I don't want to be sleeping in the wild if there are beasts like this out here. With that thought I step over to the dead dragon, plant my foot on its corpse, and pull my blade free. Doing my best to wipe off the blade on the grass around me.

And once more, it was time for me to start walking again.

A few hours into this walk (I think at least) and I'm starting to worry that maybe there is no civilisation and I've been sent to the world of eternal grassy fields. Looking up at the sun I can see that it's about halfway across the sky, so hopefully that means I've got a good few hours before I need to worry about it getting dark and cold on me.

I let my eyes fall from the sky and scan across the area for the hundredth time once more seeing nothing of interest. Letting out a sigh I decide to take a break and let myself fall on my back. Staring up at a beautiful blue sky clear of any clouds, with only that ring of light to catch my eye.

Seriously what even is that thing? The ring is so large that It looks like it could cover a whole country, there's no way that can be natural right? Though it is kinda pretty to look at, I'd totally take a picture if I could.

I spend a few minutes like this, just taking in the sight of this strange sky and letting my body relax. "Well, might as well get a move on" I mutter as I stand back up and stretch before setting off again on my walk.

After only a few moments of walking I take another look around the area when lady luck finally shines down on me. For I saw the greatest thing A lost man could possibly see. A dirt road, an actual god damn road, which means that this isn't just the eternal world of grassy fields, this place does in fact have civilisation.

With renewed spirits and a spring in my step I make it to the road and keep walking into the distance, this time with the promise of civilisation ahead of me.

Luckily this stretch of my journey is much faster than the last, as I managed to find the civilisation I was searching for in what felt like only an was only a small dot from this distance but I knew it had to be something. With a new grin on my face and determination to finish this journey I started running to it, surprising myself with just how easy It was for me to run now. Like I barely felt like I was exhausting myself and I was running faster than I had ever run in my life. I couldn't help but let out a shout of exhilaration as my spirits were carried higher.

Unfortunately this high was replaced with dread as I saw familiar shapes flocking to what looked to be a village. It was more of those small dragons. They were flying around and judging by that previous one's attitude to me it they are probably attacking that village. 'God dammit, can't I get a break?' I curse in my mind as I start sprinting to the town. If the situation were less dire and time dependent I would be marvelling once again about how much faster I am, however with the situation as it is I could only think that this speed will be of great use, and that hopefully more than just my speed has been enhanced.

As I draw closer to the village I get a clear look at it and finally get an idea for where I am. It's a medieval style village, which means that I'm definitely in a fantasy setting, but there's no time to think of my Isekai fantasies. As I'm able to confirm that the small swarm of nine dragons are indeed attacking the village. They have already set fire to a home and the people of the village are barely managing to hold them off.

There's no time for me to think of a strategy or even a second to think about my decision of fighting multiple dragons. I had to help them right now before anyone dies. With that I put in one final burst of speed, ready my sword, and prepare to cut down the first dragon that gets within range.

A/N: Well here's my first attempt at writing a story. Lets hope it wont end up terrible. This story is going to be focusing on our OC, someone with servant abilities, who wont have the support of Chaldeas to help him along as he is dragged through the seven singularities and eventually be able to call himself a Hero.
