A/N: This is a chunk I scrapped from my first Shadow Walker draft. You don't really need to read that story to understand this but it may help. Though that story is confusing on purpose and I took it in a different direction than this one goes in. Things you do need to know: Prince Isaac is Harry Potter and he knows it. No, he did not attend Hogwarts and I moved the TriWizard tournament to 6th year in the HP book timeline so he's 16. This will not be continued, I just did not want to delete all of this. More of an archive for myself.

Look Over Your Shoulder

The students were all murmuring in curiosity regarding the empty space at the head table. There was an obvious empty chair next to Headmaster Dumbledore's. Dinner was well on its way and all the professors were accounted, including this years DADA professor, Reginald Cattermole, and the Headmistress of Beauxbaton and the Headmaster of Durmstrang,

Since the TriWizard Tournament was announced earlier in the term and the participants announced yesterday, the students were not expecting any more surprises.

Suddenly the doors to the Great Hall were opened and Filch ran across the aisle towards the head table. He huffed something to Headmaster Dumbledore who nodded and smiled. Filch ran across the hall again and out the open doors. The Headmaster rose from his throne-like chair and addressed the students and teachers. "Can I have everyone's attention please?! Our last guest has arrived. I'm sure you have all been wondering about the empty seat beside mine," he paused looking about the room with a twinkling smile. "In continuing efforts towards international magical cooperation, Hogwarts will be hosting another foreign dignitary - a delegate from the Kingdom of Pardes."

Whispered erupted furiously across the Great Hall. There were many students and teachers who knew a bit about Pardes. The Kingdom was very secretive and citizenship was exclusive. No one at Hogwarts could name a single person from there in a fact. It was their exclusivity that was coveted. Their existence was not waved off as a fabled fantasy as they were represented in the International Confederation of Wizards by a figure whose identity was forgotten as soon as meetings were over. The mystery added to their allure.

Dumbledore continued. "We are honored that the Kingdom of Pardes has decided to sponsor a course, not just for Hogwarts students and staff, but also open to Beauxbatons and Durmstrang should their Headmasters agree." He looked over to Maxine and Karkaroff whose eyes showed how surprised they were at his announcement. "The class will be on the lingua magica or astral magick," gasps were heard around the room. "Information has been posted in your common rooms." He took a breath and gave everyone another wide smile. "Now, please join me in giving a warm welcome to His Royal Highness Rav Isaac BenKhay, Prince of Pardes." Dumbledore gestured towards the doors of the Great Hall.

A tall man entered. He was 6'2, fit, wearing dark tight trousers, a Henley top showing his hard torso, and black combat boots. He had what could only be described as perfect hair, short on the sides and longer on top. Dark raven hair, chiseled jaw and the most mesmerizing green eyes. He walked with an air of confidence and gave off waves of power but also calmness. Everyone was shocked into silence at his entrance. Not only was he beautiful, wearing obvious muggle clothing, but a Prince to boot. Many of the Purebloods understood who he was by title and status though no knew what the Prince looked like as the Kingdom of Pardes did not mingle with the outside besides in trade and even that was done through brokers.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, Shalom." His voice was deep and strong but comforting and it carried across the entire Hall. It was a voice that not only demanded attention but commanded it.

"Your Highness, you honor us with your presence. We are grateful to His Majesty for sponsoring the class, it is an amazing opportunity for us to learn such old magic, once thought lost. On behalf of all of us here, many thanks and welcome." Dumbledore finished with a deep bow. The Prince smiled brightly and gave a polite nod to the Headmaster in response.

"Thank you, Headmaster. My father sends his regards. I am happy to be here to embark on this new venture. I have great hopes for the class," he said this all while giving a genuine smile as his eyes roamed the room. His gaze fell on a certain sour looking hooked nose Professor who looked almost faint with shock.

Finally snapped out for their own shock, those who knew the proper protocol quickly rose at once and bowed. The rest of the school stumbled to follow along while giving confused looks to their friends. The Prince walked to the empty chair next to the Headmaster and sat down. The Headmaster followed his lead and sat as well. The rest of the school rose from their bow and sat. It was a very mechanical and awkward procedure. The silence that followed was loud indeed. No one knew what to do exactly.

The Prince, noting the shift in the crowd, turned to his left and addressed Dumbledore. He spoke quietly and only those at the head table heard. "I did not mean to disrupt, please proceed with your meal." The Headmaster nodded and picked up his goblet to take a drink. Slowly the rest of the teachers and students followed suit. Within minutes the hall was filled with chatter once again. Eventually the Headmaster rose again to send everyone to bed. Many tried to get a closer look at the Prince but were ushered away quickly by teachers and prefects.

The Prince merely sat at his place and gave encouraging smiles and nods. He waited until all the students left the Hall before leaving.

Severus Snape was reeling from the revelation of who the Prince was. He knew from the staff meeting held earlier that day that a guest lecturer was going to be in the castle several times a week but barely gave it a thought. He didn't care about whatever hippy class the dunderheads were being offered. He had more pressing matters to deal with. Like his pulsing Mark, a possibly resurrected Dark Lord and the Order of the Flaming Chicken. Yes, he knew how important it was to behave accordingly and show reverence to royalty, especially from such a powerful and mysterious kingdom. But he was not prepared to see that face. That beautiful face that he had thought about for over a year on end when he allowed his mind to wander in private.

Severus was pacing, thinking about his luck. He was thankful for his many years of being a double spy and his strong mental shields but he knew that his expression fell if only for a second when he saw his face. He didn't know if anyone noticed but he couldn't do anything about that. What was there to do anyway. It was closer to midnight now and he figured he would take a sleeping draught and call it a night. He was just double checking the wards in his private rooms when they flared, alerting him of a presence approaching his door. Figuring that it was one of his insurable students he yanked the door open and gave a gruff "What?!" as a greeting.

"Not the warm welcome I was expecting, sweetheart" spoke a tall dark haired man.

"Ev…" the garbled name got stuck in Severus' throat but he quickly regained his wits. "Your Highness, my apologies," he said quickly as he bowed to the man.

"Can I come in?" asked the Prince in a laughing tone.

Severus moved to the side and let the man in. He wasn't sure what to do, so he just stood in the entrance gaping at his back.

"Close the door, Sev. I think this conversation should be held in private, don't you?"

Severus moved in a daze. He closed the door and walked over to the Prince who was now sitting on his old gray couch looking relaxed and at home. He tittered on whether to sit without being prompted or to remain standing. He really hated having to second guess his actions.

"For goodness sake, sit down. After all, I am the one invading your space. There is no need to be formal."

"Isn't there… Your Highness" he spat out in a huff.

"I can explain…"

"I'm sure you can."

The Prince sighed. "Look, will you actually listen to me or are you just going to be hostile?" He raised his left eyebrow as he finished speaking, giving Severus a pointed look.

Severus collected himself and nodded.

"I didn't lie, per se. It was more of a case of omission." At that Severus snorted. "As you can imagine, I cannot trust many. Only a handful know who I am. Who I truly am. I didn't know if I could trust you with that information but I didn't want to either. I know who you are, what you do, what you've done and I didn't want to face that. My life is not really mine. I have responsibilities, people that depend on me, a duty to my father, to my people. So I ran, or I guess more accurately, I let you go."

"Why are you here?"

"I wanted to see you."

"No. I mean, what are you doing in Scotland? I thought your family never left their realm according to the rumors."

"I've been here for some years. Working. Meeting you was…like a breath of fresh air."

"How poetic" he snarled.

"Hardly"

"What now?"

"You can show me to your bedroom."

Severus snapped his eyes away from the wall he was staring at and looked at the Prince. "What? You can't possibly mean…"

"What's the problem? It wouldn't be the first time. And I don't have my own quarters in the castle. I figured I could bunk with you for the night. If you would allow that, of course."

"Evan!"

"It's actually Isaac. Evan is my middle name, obviously."

"Umm..."

"Don't you want me?" he asked this as he moved towards Severus who was sitting in a beat up armchair across the room. Isaac did not let him finish. He straddled him and captured his lips.

They kissed hungrily. Forgetting where they were. Who they were. Panting, grinding, moaning,. Desperate touches. Severus shifted forward, wrapped his legs around his waist, grabbed Isaac's arse firmly, standing up from the chair and marched to his bedroom.

The first thing Severus noticed was the light coming through the illusioned window. It was morning already. He was surprised that he had slept, not only through the night, but also without any nightmares. A quick Tempus showed that it was 6 o'clock in the morning. He sat up looking around. He was alone. Of course he was alone. What else would he expect? He groaned and laid back down wishing he could figure out what to do now. Suddenly he heard his bedroom door open. He bolted up in bed, wand out.

"Hey sleepyhead! I hope you don't mind that I made myself at home."

Isaac was wearing clothes that clearly came from Severus' wardrobe but looking better in them than he ever did or ever would.

"Of course not," he said with a rare smile.

"Well, I gotta jet, but I didn't want to leave before checking to see when I could see you again," Isaac spoke while walking over to Severus and climbing into the bed next to him.

"I suppose we do need to talk," Severus responded as he pulled him onto his chest.

"You suppose correctly. So? Can I stop by later? I know you teach everyday but I wasn't sure of your schedule."

"I am free in the late afternoon. Can you meet me here at 3?"

"Yes. I'll see you later. Thanks for last night, it was great." He kissed him deeply, hopped off the bed and disappeared out the door. Leaving Severus confused as ever.

He should have made them talk last night. He had so many questions. The highest in priority was what the heck was going on between them and how much did he actually know about Evan, err Isaac. Goodness, he had slept with a Prince. He could find some humor in the irony of the title. But he could not let himself sink into those thoughts now. He rushed and got ready for the school day.

Isaac decided to explore the castle. He knew that his presence would cause the students and faculty to act unnaturally so he decided to quickly change his appearance. He decided that he would, for once, look his actual age. He knew that if he told Severus that he was only 16 he would throw a fit. But that was a problem for another day. He concentrated on what he wanted to look like and felt his magic and body respond.

He lost several inches of height, his broad shoulders and chest shrunk as well. Short was not his favorite look. His hair was now a bit too long and untamed. His face softer with no sign of facial hair. He decided to go for generic brown hair and brown eyes. He then transfigured his clothes into the standard Hogwarts uniform. At the last second he decided to wear Ravenclaw colors as he knew the reputation of that house to be studious and sometimes forgotten by the more boisterous and outgoing houses. He really did not like this younger version and could hardly believe he was technically this young.

He walked out of the dark alcove he was using for his change and looked around. He could do with a map of this place before deciding that up was the way to go. Who put students and classes in the dungeons anyway? This school was strange.

It was still too early for classes, so Isaac wandered about and talked to very interesting portraits. Goodness they were a chatty bunch but that was good. He got all the gossip about the professors, which he mostly knew already but liked it confirmed. Eventually he found himself on the fifth floor towards the western side of the school. He figured he had been walking for about an hour since he heard the signs of students walking about. He turned a corner and saw several of them existing a large wooden door that had a large bronze eagle knocker. Jackpot! He waited for a familiar face to emerge. He was leaning against the cold stone wall thinking that the place really needed a better heating system among other improvements.

He didn't have to wait long. Less than ten minutes later he saw her. He chuckled as he took note of the radish earrings and cork necklace. "Good Morning Luna," he whispered to her as she passed by. She stopped, turned around and looked at him. Her head tilted to the side as she examined him. She looked him over from top to bottom and up again. Then finally she spoke.

"Good Morning. Breakfast?" she asked in her usual airy voice.

"Sure, I'm famished. Lead the way."

He followed her down the winding stairs and endless trick steps to the doors to the Great Hall. Neither said a word as they walked. Finally Luna sat down at the end of the Ravenclaw table towards the Head Table and far away from all her housemates as possible.

"It's really good to see you in person Luna. Did you like my surprise last night?"

"It's good to see you too. And you know I wasn't surprised."

"I know, but I had to ask. Bloody seers ruin everything."

Luna laughed as she dished up her breakfast and motioned for him to do the same. They ate in companionable silence. Both happy to be in the presence of a long lost friend.

"Will you be coming to classes with me?" she finally asked.

"Oh no. I don't want to go through high school again. I was just wandering around and happened to come across your dorm room. I'm glad I ran into you. I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you as well. Even if we talk all the time. Now that you are here we can spend more time together. Though I know you aren't staying in the castle. Correction, you don't have official sleeping quarters in the castle," she let the last sentence hang in the air and gave him a pointed look.

"Well, yes. Anyway, we can even plan a quick trip to Pardes in a couple of weeks. As for my...sleeping arrangements… you already know that bit. I hope you weren't spying. I'm not into voyeurism."

Luna gave a laugh that sounded like wind chimes. "I wasn't looking, looking, per se. But I caught the jist. I'm happy for you. He is a hard one to crack, but so are you."

Isaac gave her a dazzling smile. "Here, take this. New model." He handed her a small wrist watch. Then waved his hand over it and the clock face changed to a 3D radish. "I figured it would match your usual look but feel free to change it."

"It's perfect," she replied as she went to put it on but he beat her to it. He reaches for her hand and fastens the watch to it. "Thanks!"

"You're very welcome. I should probably find somewhere to hide before someone notices I don't actually go here."

"Too bad. It would have been really nice to have you around all day. But I understand. Try the library. I'm sure even you can charm Madam Pince into letting you into the restricted section."

"Challenge accepted. I also need to find a room for my class. I was assigned a space on the third floor but it has creepy vibes. I am thinking of just creating a doorway into one of the rooms back home."

"That sounds like a good idea. Don't forget to do a time ward. You don't want cross dimensional backlash."

"I know, I know. I do it once and no one lets me forget."

"That's because it was hilarious. And permanent. You can't just age people, or creatures, without their permission."

"Urgh. Why do I even like you? I leave you static all the time. That should count for something."

"I know. And I appreciate it. I don't want to deal with glamours to constantly hide whatever craziness you cause. But we got off track. Create a door off the library. I'll even volunteer to calm the masses at the first meeting. Now you should sneak off since breakfast is almost over."

"Alright, love. Thanks for the help." Isaac kissed her right hand, which made her giggle and he walked out of the room.

Luna had felt several eyes on her throughout their conversation but ignored them. Thankfully Isaac instinctually put up a silencing bubble as soon as they sat down to fight off nosy ears. But everyone could still see them and they were curious. They were also slightly confused about the boy she was talking to.

While trying to make her way through the crowd that amassed near the entrance and head towards Potions she heard her name called. She turned around. It was Ginny. Figures.

"Hey Luna!"

"Good Morning Ginny"

"Good Morning. Who was that boy you were talking to?"

"Oh, just a housemate," she lied.

"Yeah I got that, he had Ravenclaw colors. But I didn't recognize him. Plus you guys looked really friendly. And then I saw him kiss your hand!" She squealed the last part.

"Of course we were friendly. He is my friend." Luna could see and feel the attention of other students on them. She discreetly started walking away but Ginny followed. So she cut her off.

"Don't you have History of Magic, Ginny? It's the other way."

"Oh yeah, I guess I gotta go. Talk to you later," and she hurried in the opposite direction.

"Bye Ginny. Don't let the wackspurts get too attached." she called back.

Luna finally made her way to the dungeons. She was relieved that no one else approached her about Isaac and hoping it stayed that way. She needed to get him to cast a notice-me-not on himself if he was going to be around her looking like a student. It would eventually bring up questions that she didn't know how to answer and quite frankly didn't want to anyway.

Severus was hesitant. He made sure to keep himself busy all day to avoid thinking about, well if he thought his name or about what they did then it wasn't working. So he wasn't. He really wasn't. But now it was 2:30pm. By some miracle the dunderheads managed not to incur his wrath too much or even earn detention. Which he guessed was a good thing since he didn't know how long his talk with, well him, was going to go on for. This was ridiculous. He was a grown man panicking like a silly teenager.

He stalked to his quarters, billowing robes behind him. He needed a shower first. He had the 7th Year students run drills to test their ability. Which was a good way to teach for exams but stupid since it was his last class of the day and he was sticky due to all sorts of goo. The black robes did not help cover the mess and a scurify was useless against certain materials

He was under the powerful sprays of the shower, rinsing the soap from his body, when he felt his ward alert him. He froze for a second. A knock at the door. Deciding to play this as an upper hand he went along with it. Determined, he turned off the shower, wrapped a towel around his waist and walked to his front room. He took a steadying gulp of air and opened the door.

"I hope you don't mind that I am a bit early…" Isaac's words stopped abruptly as he took in the sight of a dripping wet Severus. He was instantly hard.

"That's fine. Come in. I just got out of the shower, obviously, so please excuse the lack of attire."

Isaac forced himself to respond and not just hungrily let his eyes roam his body. "You know me, no clothes is always welcomed."

Severus chuckled. "Yes, well. Do come in. I don't want to scare any students that may happen upon us while I am in this state."

Isaac entered the room and made his way over to the gray couch. Once again making himself comfortable. "I thought we were going to talk, but if you greet me looking like that then I wouldn't mind a postponement," his voice almost strained with lust.

"We do need to talk"

"We can talk. Later. Drop the towel, sweetheart."

Isaac was up on Tuesday morning at a time that others would still consider the night before. After his morning ablutions he ran a couple of miles through the Forbidden Forest. He found it invigorating and insightful as he got to meet a lovely herd of centaurs. After years of listening to Luna's cryptic messages they seemed quite normal.

Back at the castle he checked the sign-up sheet for his first class one last time. It looked like the whole school signed up. He knew that the majority did it because of his Royal status. Which he disliked but couldn't help. They just wanted to get another look at him and probably ask a lot of questions about where he was from. He didn't mind as long as none of them were rude since he wasn't planning on answering a lot of them anyway. Soon enough those who actually wanted to learn from him would continue to attend.

He made his way out of the dungeons after showering and headed towards the library. He managed to find the perfect stone to anchor his portal and made quick work of channeling his energy. The castle, being almost sentient with all the magic absorbed through the years, seemed to gladly accept the temporary change.

He then conjured an easel and poster board. The board had a poster for his workshop with an arrow to show the way. He was used to using them back home and figured he would continue here even if the British Wizarding World found it strange and new since it was a muggle thing. He then crossed the threshold to the room, closed the door, and set about anchoring time inside the space to that in the hallway. He really didn't want to explain the excelared time or temporal growth at this point. There was still an hour to go so he just slipped into the library incognito to read for a while.

At 7:45am his Watch gave him a reminder alert. Show time.

As expected, there were a lot of students in the first workshop. Isaac wasn't surprised which is why the room was set up like a large lecture hall. Rows and rows of seats. He waited outside the room, invisible, of course, just watching them buzz with excitement. He was glad that Luna agreed to assist, if only briefly. At 7:58 he slipped inside the room and waited by the eastern wall. His eyes roaming, taking in as many details as possible. Seeing how the students clustered together by house and then age. The few smug looks and the many nervous. Hopefully this venture would work out. He did also note that many paid attention to the sign-up sheet which read:

Soul Meditation

Lead by Rav Isaac BenKhay, HRH

Tue, Thu, Sat

8am and 8pm

Next to the Library

Arrive promptly. No prior knowledge or experience needed.

Dress comfortably. No wizard robes.

Sessions are 1hr but you may leave at any time.

He saw some in robes or school uniforms. He would have to get a supply of exercise clothes for them to use. He knew that not everyone could afford them but he didn't think that should stop them from attending. He would of course pay for them. Maybe have several of the students design the outfit for all of them to use.

At exactly 8am Luna rose from her seat in the front row and took the few steps up to the podium. As she did so Isaac waved his hand and sealed the entrance. The whispers and talking got even louder as they looked around for the Prince and didn't see him.

"Good Morning. His Royal Highness asked me to make a quick announcement." Luna spoke into the microphone, an object which only the muggleborns knew about.

"Why you?" someone shouted from the middle of the mass and many murmured in agreement.

"That is not for me to say," she said calmly then she continued. "First, everyone please have a seat." She waited in silence for everyone to comply. It took a couple of minutes. "Second, while it is expected that everyone will address His Highness respectfully, he would like to dispense with the curtsying and bowing while in this room. Third, as the sign-up sheet stated, sessions start promptly on time which means the entrance disappears to late comers but you may exit at any time. Fourth and last, His Highness can be addressed as Rav or Sir during these sessions." Luna then turned towards the eastern wall and spoke in its direction "Shalom, sir" and gave a little nod.

The students were startled when the air in front of the mosaic that covered the eastern wall rippled like water. In its wake stood the Prince. Ohhs and ahhs were a plenty. "Shalom Luna'' he replied as he walked towards the raised platform. Luna stepped away from the microphone but stayed nearby. Every eye in the room watched as he stopped about half a meter from Luna, reached out with both hands, held her face carefully and lovingly, leaned in, and kissed her on the forehead. Shocked intakes of breath were quite audible in the silence of the room at this action. He gave Luna a beaming smile and took a step back. They nodded to each other and Luna stepped off the stage back to her seat.

The Prince stepped up to the microphone, giving the audience an incandescent smile that caused many a heart to skip a beat. His eyes roamed and assessed his audience and he began to speak.

"Good Morning. I am Isaac Khay and I am here to guide you through, what my people call, Soul Meditation. It is the root to lingua magica. I will do my best to explain basic concepts since it is rarely studied in the UK. Feel free to take notes," at this point floating desk tops with parchment and self-inking quills appeared in front of everyone, "and write down questions you may have. I will try to answer as many as possible today but we will need time to actually meditate today as well and time is short." He then took the mic off the stand, swirled it in his hand, and in an instant a wireless smaller model was in its place. He clipped it to the collar of his shirt and began walking up and down the stage in a very slow pace as he kept talking and looking out into the audience.

"Before I dive into anything too philosophical I want to give you a rough idea of what I want to accomplish with these sessions. We all, at some point or another, no matter what life we lead, have to deal with stress. While stress can be a motivator, it can also hurt us if we let it be all consuming. I am offering a very specific branch of meditation that may be able to help. Whether it is classes, OWLs, pushy classmates, raging hormones, high strung teachers, overbearing parents. Or anything else that can throw you off balance. Say, a TriWizard Tournament that hasn't been held in hundreds of years because of the high mortality rate." There was a wave of laughter at that. "This path is not for everyone but everyone is welcome."

Isaac could feel the eyes that followed him as he paced. He then waved his hand at the wall behind him and a large screen appeared. It read:

What is a soul?

How do you know you have one?

Do sentient beings have one? Non-sentient?

"Don't worry about coping down anything from the screen. There will be audio and transcription orbs that can be collected on the way out." At that comment Luna raised her hand.

"Yes, Luna," he prompted.

"Sir, you may need to explain what those are as they aren't used here."

Isaac looked confused for a second and said "Really? I'll have to ask you about that later. For everyone else, I am talking about these," and in his hand appeared a light blue glowing ball "which will contain a condensed version of this session. For audio replay you just squeeze it and it plays into your ear only. To receive a written transcript you simply tap your finger and say 'Script'. Paper will appear shortly after. The orb will disappear after 72 hours, the paper transcription is permanent. Neither can be copied." The students immediately started talking to each other about this new invention and he could see a lot of eager faces. "They will be available to pick up at the end by the exit." He then looked at Luna who nodded at him.

"Right. Back to these big questions behind me. Soul business. I want you to, if only temporarily, to accept the following as facts." As he spoke, key words, phrases and images appeared on the wall behind him. "Every living thing has a soul. That soul is a spark from the Divine. The ability to connect to your mind, body and soul allows beings to channel energies not available to others. What and how those energies manifest are specific to the being. To emphasize and give more credence to this last point I will share one thing about my homeland that few, if any, know. Pardes is a community of many and all. By that I mean what you would call magical and muggle beings living openly side by side. We do not have a Statute of Secrecy as there is no secret to hold. Everyone can harness their own magical potential through Soul Meditation. I know that here there is a line between the Wizarding World and the Muggle World and for the realities of this realm it makes sense and I respect it. To us in Pardes, Soul Meditation is not simply a way to help to deal with school or work, but a way of life. A way of life that is open to everyone who wishes to learn it. Everyone here has a magical core, hone it, care for it, and atune it with your Soul and you will only grow stronger. At least that's what I believe." Isaac could see the incredulous looks and disgusted looks of many pure-bloods but he didn't care.

"The main benefit of any meditative technique is to destress and recollect. Correct?" He received a lot of nods in agreement. "Those that are proficient in Soul Meditation take it further. They can consciously channel Magics blessing and beneficence into their world. This is achieved through the process of formulated meditations, prayer or even while doing good deeds. It is through intention that the soul can become properly harmonized and united, allowing the Magic to flow freely. You can become a channel through which Magic pours out. When you cleave to the Divine or Magic in thought, your soul rises up and is elevated from level to level, from principle to principle and from cause to cause, until Magic pours out upon you and into the world around you. You become the abode of real Magic and the node through which powerful energies issue forth to the world. Because of this practitioners bear great responsibility towards their fellow man and creature; at the same time, they are greatly privileged. When meditating, do not focus on the divine per se, but rather on the Infinite Light illuminating it. One who is versed in this art will know how to act at the right time. They can then bring about the correct adjustment and harmonization through proper thought, speech and deed. In this way a person extricates himself from lack of awareness of Magic, which may be compared to sleep and death, and binds himself to holiness and eternal life."

At this point Isaac noticed the many confused looks around the room. "I got carried away. My apologies. I have been studying and practicing this way of life as far as I can remember. Hands up if you have questions in regards to my ramblings. Please stand, state your name and your questions when I point to you."

It seemed like everyone had questions. Isaac muted his mic, sighed, held both hands out to the audience, closed his eyes and cast a spell on the group. This way only those that had relevant questions stood out. He lowered his hands and opened his eyes. This time a fraction of the hands were raised. He tapped the mic and said "I'll walk around to make this easier." He moved around the room, giving his attention to those that had questions. He repeated the question so everyone could hear them and answered them succinctly. After question number five his watch gave a buzz. Only 20 minutes left. "Can everyone else write down their queries and leave them on their way out? We will use the remaining time to demo this crazy concept I keep talking about." There were some laughs at that.

Isaac led them through a series of breathing exercises without much trouble. At five minutes to 9am he got their attention again. "Good job everyone. A couple of final notes before you head out. One, if you are planning on attending future sessions please dress accordingly. If you don't already own an exercise outfit please make note of that on the next sign up sheet, let me know what you need. Those notes will be confidential and items will be procured at no expense to you or your guardian. Second, I will provide a small collection of relevant material for reference in this room during future sessions. Three, items provided in this space cannot be removed from the castle. Try to do so and they will simply disappear once you cross the threshold. That is all for now. I thank you for your time." Isaac rose from the lotus position he was holding while atop a stool on the platform. He took off the mic, spun it again into its original shape, and returned it to the podium.

While his back was turned to clear the words and images on the wall behind him he heard some surprised yelps. He turned around and saw that directly behind him was a line of his Aboki guards looking as intimidating as ever. He peeked between two of them and saw the startled and scared faces of several students.

"At ease," he told them. In a blink of an eye the guards disappeared. "Apologies for the fright. As you can imagine they take my safety seriously. Shouldn't you all be heading to breakfast?" he asked the small crowd that was gathered.

"Uh...sorry your Highness, I mean, Sir. I just wanted to say how very interesting this session was. I've never heard about Soul Meditation and I couldn't find anything in the library. And I couldn't find anything about Pardes either so I have a lot of questions," spoke a pretty teenage girl with bushy brown hair.

Isaac noted that she wore the attire he asked for which made sense with her inquisitiveness. A rule follower. He chuckled as he heard her prattle on about researching this and that. The other students uncomfortably shifted and tried to get a word in but failed. "Fascinating. Miss…" he finally cut her off.

"Granger. Hermione Granger." She finally seemed to realize how long she had let her tongue loose as she turned bright pink and stared at the floor with intense interest.

"Miss Granger. A pleasure to meet you." Her eyes flew up to meet his and she felt like she could drown in their depths. He tilted his head in her direction as he placed his right palm over his heart.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," she replied automatically. She seemed to be tongue tied and everyone else was too embarrassed to say anything.

"Miss Granger, I find your dedication to research simply astounding given the short amount of time since the topic was announced." He gave her a kind smile. "Tell me, do you have access to Muggle books or technology?"

"Yes, mostly books, my favorites only, but no technology since nothing like that will work in the castle."

Isaac looked confused again. He forgot about all the restrictions here and he didn't like them. "I really must get a list of all these idiosyncrasies," he said mostly to himself. Then he raised his voice a bit, "Luna, can you please ask your father for assistance. If anyone could bridge the gap he can."

"I'm sure Father will be delighted to help you, sir."

"Perfect." He turned back to the group. "The reason I asked is because there are resources in the muggle world that could aid you. Not all the information is accurate, it would be like Lord of the Rings or Mary Poppins being a real account of the Wizarding World. But it holds some truth. The more accurate accounts are found in the middle east and Asia which is why I asked if you had access to technology. The internet is a marvelous invention." To that he received several comments at the same time.

"Who are the Lord of the Rings and Mary Poppins?"

"What is an inner net?"

"You read muggle books?!"

He held his hand up. "The Lord of the Rings and Mary Poppins are muggle books. The internet is like having the libraries of the entire world at your fingertips but with a lot more to offer. And yes, I read books from all cultures." At that moment Watch vibrated. "Oh this is great. Hold on a sec," he said to Hermione as he swiped his finger over the face of the watch.

Isaac brought the watch in front of his face and spoke to it. "Shalom, Father." The remaining students gasped loudly and Luna shushed them.

"Salaam imiffa. Attai dagmo mamtat efallegallahu," his father said.

"Ani hu ha'adam ha'ze. Aba, the first session just ended. Would you like to say hello to some of the students?" Isaac tried to hold in his laughter at the shocked looks on the students' faces.

"Of course, our children are our future." Isaac tapped the watch and a 3D hologram of his father's head popped up, once again startling the students.

"Your Majesty, let me introduce you to several Hogwarts students. Students, this is my father. His Majesty, King Jeremy I of Pardes."

"Greetings young ones," spoke the King. He smiled warmly at the group. "Names and ages, go on, don't be shy."

"Father, you're scaring them."

"Oh hush."

"Greeting your Majesty. My name is Luna Lovegood and I am 15," said Luna trying to help. This prompted Hermione, Neville, Ron, Ginny, Seamus, Dean, Draco, Pansy and Blaise to follow suit.

"It is very nice to meet you all. Isaac, remember they are children and not your crew. Don't overwork them. Also, you are still expected for dinner on Friday. Take care."

"I'll be there. Send my love to Mother." The students bowed and curtsied to the king and the image disappeared.

"Why don't you lot grab some breakfast?" spoke Isaac in a tone that while nice gave the sense that it was a command. A few nods of acknowledgement and they made their way out of the room. Except for Luna. They waited in silence as the room cleared.

"I'm going to get bombarded with questions about you," she said

"Don't you always."

She rolled her eyes at him. "Yes but this time you look like you and people know who you are."

"Feel free to tell them the truth"

"Oh sure. I can see it on the cover of the Daily Prophet 'Loony Lovegood claims to have a sordid love affair with elusive Royal' - no thanks."

Isaac laughed at this. That would definitely be the headlines. "Right, then. Skip the parts where we've seen each other naked and generalize the rest. But let me get Cameron to send a press release. She had it ready before I arrived but I was too excited to get here that I forgot it." Isaac then tapped his watch again. "Hey Cam, can you release the statement to the press. Check with Mr Lovegood at the Quibbler if he is okay with us mentioning our connection with his family. I don't want to blindside him since Luna is in the hot seat over here." He heard Cameron's response and ended the call.

"Done. The story is that our families meet while travelling through North America two years ago. Your dad was looking for HideBehinds and my family was there for diplomatic talks with their tribe. Coincidence or Happenstance? You visited Pardes for the first time last summer and took one of my seminars so you know about all this crazy stuff already so I asked you to assist me. Got it."

"Got it."

"Although I wouldn't mind a demonstration of this sordid affair we are having," he said as he looked at her hungrily.

"You are impossible. I can't be missing for too long. I have to go but I am free from 2-5 today so call me and I'll see about the demo," she flirted back.

"Luna…" he pulled her into an intimate hug. Digging his nose into her hair. She smelled like fresh dew and roses. He took deep lungfuls of her scent and got himself together. "You win, love. Go." He gave her a quick kiss on the lips and watched her skip away.

The Great Hall was filled with gossip.

"I can't believe he kissed her."

"It was just on the forehead."

"Loony Lovegood! I wish it was me."

"How does she even know him? He's hot and a Prince."

"I have no clue what he was talking about but he has a great arse."

Luna did her best to block them all out. She walked to her seat at the end of the table and began to gather her breakfast.

"Luna!" shouted Ginny as she made her way dragging Hermione with her. They sat down uninvited. "Why didn't you tell me that you knew the Prince, it's major news."

Luna took a deep breath before responding. "Who would believe me?"

Ginny's shoulders slumped at her response but then regained her steam. "I would, I'm your friend."

"You wouldn't have. But that is okay."

"Well, how do you know him? How long have you known him? What is he really like? How old is he? Does he have a girlfriend?" The questions had no pause between them.

"My dad, a couple of years, friendly, older, and no."

Hermione realized sooner than Ginny the answers that Luna provided matched the questions in order and finally spoke. "Wow, a couple of years. And it's amazing that he reads muggle books. It gets a bit much always hearing about how inferior the muggle world is. He's...refreshing," it took her a second to find the right word.

"Mmm," mumbled Luna

"Forget that, he doesn't have a girlfriend! Luna give me an in. Don't royals need heirs. Swoon. I could be a princess," said Ginny

At that Luna and Hermione laughed. "Get a grip Gin." said Hermione. "He's a real person, not a prince from a fairy tale. Plus I'm sure he needs to marry someone with a title or someone who can benefit his kingdom."

Ginny pouted at that. "Stop ruining my fantasy. You're such a downer."

Luna ignored their bickering and finished her breakfast. "We don't want to be late to class," she finally interrupted Hermione's lecture on the importance of diplomacy.

Luna grumbled to herself all day. All the girls wanted details on Isaac. She'd been going to school with them for over three years and the majority ignored her like a leper. She hated the attention so she just spoke nonsense to them and when it got too much sent them Ginny's way.

After what seemed like the longest day ever Luna was finally back in her dorm room. Safely cocooned in a mountain of blankets with the curtains closed and stuck that way. She put up a silencing charm just in case. It was a little after 2pm and she knew he would call soon. As expected she felt a nudge in her mind.

"Hey"

"Hey back, beautiful"

"Where are you?"

"7th Floor. One of the house elves told me about a place called the Come and Go room so I've been digging around in here. Why don't you come through?"

"Izzie, you can't travel like you do in the castle."

"What is up with the restrictions of this place? They are nuts. Trust me. Just concentrate on me, tap your Watch and I'll pull you here."

"Alright, don't leave any bits of me behind"

"I happen to enjoy all your bits so I wouldn't dare."

Luna closed her eyes and let her mind think about Isaac and being with him. After several seconds later she felt a gentle pulse surround her and then it was gone.

"Welcome to my secret lair"

Luna opened her eyes and looked around. It worked. Of course it worked. "I can't believe I didn't see this happening," was her shocked reaction.

"Point to me then, come on then. You only gave me three hours and I plan to use them all."

"You are insatiable"

"Perhaps, but you let me indulge."

The room changed around them from what looked to be a massive lost and found to a classy hotel suite.

"How you spoil me," she exclaimed.

"Woman, I think you are trying to kill me"

"Of course not. I need you alive to do this again later."

"You only want me for my cock"

"It is your best feature" she teased.

"It's almost five, love" he told her sadly.

"I know. Can you send me back?"

"I don't want to, but yes. Get dressed."

Luna quickly dressed and gave Isaac a lingering kiss. "Don't break my Potions professor, I have his class tomorrow," she warned.

"I'll try" and with that she disappeared.

-THE END-
