She was so mad the second she found out. She already knew what she was going to say to him. How could he do this to her? A witch appeared to her to tell her to save them and help them. The witch's exact words were "I've watched it happen from the start and didn't do anything. I've watched this evil separate them in the process of them taking it down, and still I didn't do anything. Now that they are back together, I won't let this break them. I won't stand by any longer. I need your help. You're the key to ending it once and for all, Elena" Elena immediately agreed after the witch told her what happened, though the witch had changed Elena in three ways. Elena had a day before she had to take off to New Orleans, she spent the day studying and preparing herself.

When she got to New Orleans she was enraged as the witch appeared to her again and gave her an update, saying she needs to hurry. She sped til she was outside the compound, not that the people inside knew she was outside. Elena pulled a map out, placing it on the dashboard. Using her nail, she cut her wrist, once the blood fell on the map she started chanting, focusing on the two originals she was looking for. When she was done there were two small dots on the map right next to each other. She was so mad at him. She's going to let him have it, but in order to do that he needed to be alive, so she sped there.

There they are. Elijah and Klaus. Ready to kill each other. Elena frowned at them both. When she saw their hands starting to move she acted. Against their will, their hands dropped the white oak stakes onto the bench. They looked at each other confused, as they reached to pick em up, they both were flung backwards by force.

Elena: Not. On. My. Watch.

She gritted out through her teeth. They both looked at her shocked and confused. Even more shocked and confused when they noticed no one else around. She was the one who flung them away from the stakes, they were expecting Freya or Hope. They both stood as she walked to the bench, glaring at the stakes. She looked at Klaus , then at the old small magic box and started chanting. Elijah and Klaus watched as a blue light went from Klaus to the box. Elena took a deep breath and snapped the figures of her free hand and watched as it went up in flames.

Elena: Not a word.

She said as she saw they wanted to say something.

Elena: I said not a word.

She said showing her tribrid face to let Klaus know she means it just as he was going to say something. She picked up the stakes.

Elena: In the car now.

In this moment, they felt as if they were the kids and Elena was the mom, mad that they broke something in the store. She didn't get in til they were in. They drove in silence to the compound. On the way there, Elena decided she had words for Hope too. Ever since Hope came to the Salvatore school, Elena has been there for her and helping her. Hope should've known she would've helped her if she ever told her about the hollow.

They got out of the car and entered the compound. Everyone's in their room. Elena shook her head. Why didn't they try to find something to deal with the hollow and keep Klaus and in turn Elijah from deciding on dying. She turned to the brother to the left of her.

Elena: Stay there.

She looked around.

Elena: HOPE MIKAELSON! GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE NOW!

The men to her left looked at her shocked at the language she used and the mom voice she used. Hope came out from her room to stand in front to her. Knowing when Elena used that tone and language she's really in trouble. Although she didn't know what she did this time...

Hope: Yes?

Hope didn't notice her dad and uncle some feet away.

Elena: You know I love you, right?

She said in a calm voice.

Hope: Yes, and I love you too.

Elena: You know I will do everything in my power to help you with anything, right?

Hope nodded and Elena frowned.

Elena: Then why didn't you tell me about the hollow? Why did I have to find out from Ayana, who's from the other side? I would've helped you defeat it.

Hope looked ashamed. But as far as Hope knew there was nothing that could get rid of it.

Hope: I would. But there was nothing that could be done.

Elena: Yes there was. You just didn't know. I-

Elena let her tribrid face show for a few seconds.

Elena: Was the key to stopping it.

Hope opened her mouth in shock.

Elena: Couch. Now.

Elena pointed to the couch, and Hope did as told.

Elena: You.

She pointed at Klaus.

Elena: She's your daughter. And you were going to let yourself die just to kill the hollow.

Hope's head shot up at the word daughter. Everyone else came out of their rooms and stood on the second floor just watching in shock. They thought Elijah and Klaus would be dead.

Elena: The Klaus I knew would've put it in some random human or other supernatural being and kill them, then let his kid grow up without both parents.

Klaus: You're right.

And she is. He also would've thought to put it in some magical box that couldn't be opened once activated.

Elena: I'm pretty sure you gave Hope a scare..Go comfort her. Now.

Klaus sat beside Hope and hugged her.

Elena: And you..You promised me, and yet you were about to die.

She paused.

Elena: Remember this?

She asked, holding up a note. He titled his head as he recognized it.

Elijah: You said it burned..

Elena raised a brow.

Elena: I also had my emotions off..

She took a deep breath.

Elena: "Elena, Today I did things I abhor to protect the one thing I value most. My family. If anyone can understand that, it's you. Your compassion is a gift, Elena, carry it with you as I will my regret. Always and forever, Elijah."

She wiped some of the tears away from her face. The other Mikaelsons gasp. Not one of them have ever used that for anyone outside of family. Elijah never even used it with any of his past loves..But Elena is different.

Elena: I may not have realized I've been in love with you until a day and half ago but...

Her voice started cracking. Elijah hates seeing her cry. He looked down for a second, wiping a tear away. He shot his head up when he realized she said she loves him.

Elena: You promised me always and forever...

Elena: Please say something. I didn't let Ayana turn me into an original vampire, a witch, and a werewolf for nothing. I could've stayed human and lived a human life. But I didn't. I couldn't stand the thought to marry some man wearing a suit reminding me of you. And it wouldn't even be as good of a suit as the ones you wear.

They both laughed a bit.

Elena: You know, it's your fault, after seeing you in a suit, every other suit I see is horrible if it isn't like yours. No one even knows why you always wear suits and no one ever asks, but you also never tell...Makes a girl wonder..

She took a few steps to him.

Elena: What's under all those suits...

He smirked. They heard "Ewww that's gross." from Kol and Rebekah and a "I think it's cute." from Davina, Freya, and Hope.

Elena: Please say something.

He took a step closer.

Elijah: I think this family is going to have another wedding in the near future...

Elena gasps.

Elena: I thought vampires didn't get married.

Elijah: They do, just not many do.

Elena: Then you have three months to propose to me as long as you kiss me in the next 3 seconds.

She crossed her arms.

Elijah: I believe we have a deal.

He smirked down at her before leaning down and pressing his lips to hers, placing his arms around her back while she placed her arms around his neck.

Kol: Get a room you two.

Suddenly Kol fell over the railing, standing up he glared at them as they laughed. But they all said it wasn't them and continued to laugh. He looked at Hope.

Hope: Don't look at me.

He turned to Elena, who was still kissing Elijah.

Elena: Serves you right.

She said as she Elijah stopped kissing.

Hope: So...How long do I have to wait for Ellie to become aunt Ellie? And Ellie can you tell us how you found out?

Elena lifted her head from Elijah's chest to look him in the eyes.

Elena: Growing up, I always wanted to be married on Valentine's day. And until we're ready to.

She led Elijah to the couch across from Hope and Klaus. Everyone else soon joined.

Elena: Well I had just got back from seeing Damon, he was telling me that I don't have to pick between him and Stefan anymore and that me and him could be together. Even though I keep telling him no..

Elena said annoyed.

Hope: Is he still pulling the whole 'that's why he injected the cure in me' bit?

Hope tilted her head. Elena nodded, rolling her eyes.

Elena: Anyway, I was at me and Caroline's apartment. I was sitting in my room, watching tv, when Ayana appeared.

Hope: Who's Ayana?

Freya: She was a friend of Esther's a thousand years ago.

Elena: She told me and I quote "I've watched it happen from the start and didn't do anything. Then when I got to New Orleans and she gave me an update, I was pissed off that Elijah was going to die with Klaus just because he didn't want him to die alone.

Elena turned her head to the left to send Elijah a glare before leaning her head on his shoulder.

Klaus: But why make you like Hope?

Elena: She said for the next time Elijah has to put you in your place he'll have more strength. And when there's something else trying to go against you all-

Elijah: Us.

Hope: It's us now.

She smiled at Elijah and Elena.

Elena: Us.. And so Hope isn't the only one of her kind. But I'm stronger than her. Ayana made me an original, using mine and Elijah's blood. Elijah's blood so I'll have a boost in power. I was outside the compound when I realized I can use blood to find them both. So breaking laws left and right, I sped to them. I don't know how you two didn't hear me coming..But it doesn't matter. I'm just glad I got there in time.

She sat up and pulled the stakes out.

Rebekah: Bloody hell. Someone I know in Mystic Falls just told me Elena isn't there anymore and someone beat me to Damon. I ordered a vampire who owed me a favor to kill that person. I came back because I realized as much as I want to be a mother, I don't don't want to be forever without my family.

She said as she came in. When she saw everyone sitting together.

Rebekah: What are you doing here?

She asked as she noticed Elena.

Elena: Ayana brought me here to deal with the hollow and stop Klaus and Elijah from killing themselves.. And I did.. Now to get rid of these.

She looked down at the stakes. At the snap of her fingers they went up in flames, piece by piece til it was only ash left.

Kol: Ok, Thanos. It seems like you forgot to take the ash away. I think we can all agree he has more than enough.

Klaus rolled his eyes. Elena sighed and balled her hand. Turning her hand upside down, she opened it a little, letting the ash fall, only to disappear before it even got close to the ground.

AN: I'm leaving this as a one-shot for now. I don't wanna have too many stories out that I need to update. I've just had this one sitting here, so I fixed it up some.
