Part 1:
An inevitable disaster approaches, but suddenly...
Chapter 5:
A Defender's Heart

Hibiki and Kana's POV:
Genjuro's Residence

Kana decided to join Hibiki at Genjuro's Residence for some training. She was doing well enough in class to where she could take a day off without too much worry. She first wanted to do what she could to master her augmented forms by training with several training weapons on dummies and targets so she could rely on those forms if and when they were needed. "Hah... hah... hah... Well, I think it's safe to say I'm getting the hang of using spears, daggers, and chain whips." She says, dropping the chain whip in her hand while catching her breath, "Now I just need to get better with close-quarters combat. Speaking of, I should go check on Hibiki and Genjuro-san."

While Kana was training by herself, Hibiki was practicing her punches with Genjuro, "Not like that." He says, noticing Hibiki's weakening punches, "You need to strike as if you've been eating lightning and crushing thunder with your fists."

"I have no idea what you're talking about!" Hibiki replies with full confidence, before turning back to the punching bag, "But I'll do what I can!" She changes her stance, steadies her breath, and strikes the punching bag with full force. The branch the bag was hanging from breaks as the bag is sent flying into the pond.

Genjuro smirks, "Not bad, Hibiki-kun." he says putting on some punching mitts from a nearby table, "Guess I'll have to give it my all as well. Come at me with all you have!" They trained together for quite some time, only stopping once Kana came out to see them, "Ah, Kana-kun. perfect timing!" He said to his other student, "I was just about to see if you wanted to spar with Hibiki-kun for a bit, that way I could see firsthand how your progress was coming along."

"Sure thing, Genjuro-san! That's actually why I came out here, I feel like I've done what I could with training weapons for today." Kana replied, turning to face Hibiki, getting into a fighting stance, "Come at me when you're ready!"

Hibiki smirks, returning Kana's challenge by getting into her own stance. They stare each other down, ready to strike at Genjuro's signal. "Begin!" He says, lowering his arm to signal the start of their match.

Chris' POV:
Finé's Mansion

While Hibiki and Kana trained, elsewhere, a tall blond woman had just gotten off a call with an American who had an interest in Solomon's Cane. "Vulgar and disgusting, just like his country. No use telling someone like that that Solomon's Cane has already been activated. Isn't that right, Chris?" She said, walking over to the machine she had left her servant bound as a punishment, "Does it hurt? Poor Chris... It's all because you hesitated. All you had to do was bring the girls here, after you'd lured them out. Not only did you screw it up, but you returned to me empty-handed."

"This is for the best, right?" Chris asks, gaining a confused look from the woman, "If I want my wish to come true, all I need to do is obey you, right?" She asked again, wanting to make sure that serving her was the right path to follow.

"That's right... So accept all that I am." The woman answered, letting go of Chris' chin to go to the machine's power switch, "If you don't, then I won't like you anymore." She pulls the power switch down, shocking the girl for a good amount of time before turning it off to hold her close again. "Remember this, Chris. Pain is the only thing that can bring people together. That is the truth of this world. Now, let us partake of dinner." After saying this, Chris smiles at the woman, which only causes her to turn the power on and shock her again.

Kana's POV:
Section Two HQ

The master and his students returned to base after Kana and Hibiki's sparring match had concluded. They both managed to keep up with one another in the fight, trading blows for blows while not giving their opponent an opportunity to counter when they could. "Man, I'm exhausted. You sure are strong, Kana-chan." Hibiki said, remarking on Kana's ability to keep up with her in their match.

"Don't go selling yourself short now, Hibiki. You had me on my toes that entire fight." Kana replied, equally impressed with Hibiki's strength, "I'm honestly surprised I was able to keep up, considering you've been training a lot harder than I have."

"That's true, Kana-kun. She's been giving her martial arts training her 110%, hopefully your grades haven't suffered from this." Genjuro commented, earning a nervous chuckle from Hibiki.

"I figured you three would be here," Kanade said, entering the room, "I take it you're done with training for today?" She asked, earning nods from the three, who were all enjoying their post-training beverages.

"They're really showing progress as champions of tomorrow, Kanade-kun." Genjuro replies, "Much like you and Tsubasa when you were younger. Speaking of, has there been any news on her condition?"

Kanade smirks, "Actually, that's why I'm here. The doctors just informed me that she's finally out of her coma." Hearing this, Kana and Hibiki smile happily. "I'm gonna go by and check in on her, since they said she would need a few more days to recover fully. Before that, I wanted to see if Hibiki or Kana wanted to come with me."

Kana stands up, "I'd be happy to!" She says, excitedly, "Wanna come with, Hibiki?"

Hibiki shakes her head, "Maybe next time. To be honest, I wanted to stay here and talk with Sensei." She answers

Kanade shrugs, "Very well. I'll tell her you say hi anyway." She says, getting a smile from Hibiki, happy she understood.

"Oh! Before I forget." Genjuro said, getting the girls' attention before they left, "If you run into Ryoko-kun on your way to see Tsubasa, tell her we're waiting for her in the command center." He asked.

"You got it, Boss!" Kanade said with a smile and a thumbs up, "Well then, let's get going, Kana-chan."

"Right!" Kana says with a nod, looking back and waving to her friend and her sensei before leaving the room, "See you guys later!"

Walking towards the elevator back to the surface, Kana and Kanade are met by a familiar woman in a suit. "Sis!" Kana shouts, happy to see her elder sister Serena.

"Huh? Oh! Hello girls." Serena replies, "What brings you two here?"

"Well, I just received news that Tsubasa has woken up from her coma, so I invited Kana-chan to come with." Kanade responds. "Care to join us?"

Serena gives a smile to Kanade, "I'm glad to hear that Tsubasa-chan is better," she replies, "But unfortunately I can't join you today. I promised Ogawa-sensei that I'd help him with some things."

"Ogawa-sensei?" Kana asked, before instantly realizing what that meant, "Serena! You have a teacher too?" She asked with childish wonder, earning a chuckle from her elder sister.

"I must've forgot to tell you, but yeah, Ogawa-sensei has been training me in his ninja ways, mainly due to the fact I go on missions with him when I'm not busy being the Zwei Wing assistant manager. It helps that my Airgetlám allows me to use my training when fighting off Noise." Serena answers her younger sister, "Speaking off senseis, how goes training with Hibiki-chan and Genjuro-san?"

"It's been going great!" Kana replies, "Not only have I had time to learn martial arts, I've also put some time towards learning several different weapon types so I can use my Augmentation ability to a better extent."

"That's great to hear." Serena says, happy that her sister is improving through her training, "Well, I should get going. Tell Tsubasa I say hi!" She says, leaving to meet up with Ogawa.

"Well, we should get goin' before visiting hours end." Kanade states, before the two walk towards the elevator. When they arrive at the elevator, they are met with another familiar face, "Heya Ryoko-san! Boss just asked us to let you know they're waiting for ya in the command center. How'd things go in Nagata?"

Showing the girls a briefcase, she replied, "Pretty well if you ask me! With the documents in this briefcase in a safe location, all that's left is for us to succeed in our own mission. You two can go on and meet up with Tsubasa-chan, I'll fill you in on the mission later tonight. Send her my regards." She says walking down to the command center to meet up with Genjuro and Hibiki.

With that Exchange out of the way, the girls head into the elevator and go to see Tsubasa without further delay.

Tsubasa's POV
Lydian Hospital

Tsubasa woke up in a location she wasn't prepared to see, the Zwei Wing concert where tragedy struck, "What am I doing here?" She asked herself, before her attention is instantly turned towards a corner of the venue where her friend and partner was standing, spear raised in a similar manner to how hers was against the stranger in the Nehushtan armor, "Don't tell me! She wouldn't!" She thought, as her fears were answered by a familiar song.

"Gatrandis babel ziggurat edenal"

"This isn't how things went. Where are Serena-chan and the others?" she wondered, but her question was answered when no one came to stop Kanade's song and it continued.

"Emustolronzen Finé el balal zizzl"

"Kanade, no! Don't Sing!" She begged her friend, but she kept singing.

"Gatrandis babel ziggurat edenal"

"This can't be happening! Kana-chan! Serena-chan! Lilith-san! Anyone! Please!" Tsubasa begged for an answer, but nobody came.

"Emustolronzen Finé el zizzl"

With the final words sung, Kanade opened her eyes, smirked as blood dripped from her mouth, and exploded with a light similar to when Tsubasa used her Superb Song. When the light faded, Tsubasa sprinted to her friend who fell to the ground, shouting, "Kanade!"

"Where are you, Tsubasa? Everything is dark, and I can't see you." Kanade said, getting a response from Tsubasa, "Sorry... It looks like I won't be able to sing with you anymore."

Tsubasa tears up hearing this, "Why? Why are you saying this? That's just cruel..."

"Then you're a crybaby." Kanade retorts, closing her eyes.

"I don't care!" Tsubasa replies, crying, "I just want you to sing with me forever!"

"Did you know, Tsubasa..." Kanade asks, changing the subject, "When you sing as hard as you can, you get really hungry..." she says, with one final strand of tears leaving her face as she starts to disintegrate , causing Tsubasa to scream out as her friend turns to dust in her arms.

"Kanade!" She shouts as she wakes up, sitting up in her hospital bed in a cold sweat and breathing heavily. "It must've been a bad dream..." she thinks to herself, "But why did it feel like it actually happened?" Her train of thought is interrupted when she hears a knock on her door.

"Tsubasa, you okay in there?" Kanade said, "We were about to come and see if you were awake and heard you shouting."

Getting her composure together, she replies, "It was nothing, Kanade! Just a bad dream."

The door opens, and Kanade, followed by Kana, enter the room. Kana couldn't help but give Tsubasa a hug seeing that she was okay. "I'm glad you're feeling better," she says happily, "I was scared when you used your Superb Song." Kana continues, tearing up, "I was afraid that you were going to lose your memories, like Serena did."

"Lose my memories? What are you talking about?" Tsubasa asked, unaware of what happened after she fell unconscious.

"I forgot, Serena told us what happened after you and Kana were taken to the hospital." Kanade realized, proceeding to explain the whole story Serena told her and Hibiki the night Tsubasa entered her coma. "It seems that the amnesia side effect didn't happen to you though. To be fair, Kana-chan is much older and probably more experienced than she was back then." she says, complimenting Kana's abilities, to which she wiped the tears from her eyes and chuckled.

"Regardless, I'm grateful that you saved my life, Kamui." Tsubasa says, bowing respectfully to Kana, "If anything, I owe you and Tachibana an apology for how cold I've been acting, especially towards her."

Kana smiles, "In that case, consider us even." she says, "In a way, I feel like proving herself to you has driven her to become stronger. I'm certain Genjuro-sensei would agree, considering how much we've trained together under him."

This statement surprises Tsubasa, "You and Tachibana are training under Commander Genjuro?" She asks.

"Well... Mostly Hibiki has been training with him. I focus on my own training most of the time, but I still spar with Hibiki every now and then." Kana answers, sheepishly grinning while scratching the back of her head. "I have to admit though, even without an Armed Gear, Hibiki is easily on par with my Yato. While we haven't trained in our Gears, I just feel like that's how it truly is."

Tsubasa ponders what Kana said, wondering if, just maybe, Hibiki's Armed Gear isn't the same as Kanade's despite both being wielders of Gungnir. She brushes the comment aside, remembering that nightmare she just had, "She may say we're even," Tsubasa thought to herself, "But I still have one last debt to pay before I can share that sentiment."

"Well, we should be on our way." Kanade says, "Ryoko-san still needed us for that mission later, so we should go find out what that mission exactly is."

"Right! I completely forgot about that!" Kana shouts, rushing towards the door, "I'll see you back at base, Kanade! See you later, Tsubasa!" The door slams behind Kana, as Tsubasa and Kanade share a laugh.

"Must be nice not goin' to school for a few days, ey Tsubasa?" Kanade jokingly asks

"So much for a perfect attendance record..." Tsubasa retorts.

Kanade smirks in response, "So I take it you've finally accepted Hibiki-chan as a wielder?"

"I'll admit she's getting there, but actions speak louder than words, Kanade." Tsubasa replies, earning a raised eyebrow from her partner, "W-What I mean to say is, although Kamui speaks highly of her achievements between my coma and now, I wish to hear out Tachibana myself to see if she's truly worthy."

Kanade smirks again, rolling her eyes at Tsubasa's stubbornness, "Well, at least you're not throwing your katana at her again." She says, earning an embarrassed look from Tsubasa, "I should probably go catch up with Kana-chan now. See you later, Tsubasa." Kanade says, heading to the door to go back to HQ.

"Goodnight, Kanade." Tsubasa replies as her partner exits the room. Lying down on her bed, she thinks about what Hibiki said to her the night she used her Superb Song "Perhaps I've been too harsh towards Tachibana..." She thought to herself before closing her eyes, "If what Kamui said was true, then she's truly worthy of that title we all share."

Hibiki and Serena's POV:
Section Two HQ

Later that evening

Hibiki sat on one of the couches spread throughout the underground headquarters, "I'm sure Miku is mad at me..." She says aloud to her self, feeling bad that she left in a hurry and without an explanation for her absence earlier that day as well. "I can't sleep like this... I'll just try to take my mind off of it with th-" she instantly closed the newspaper, flustered by the contents of it. "This must be something guys like." After she composes herself, she notices the cover of the paper that reads "Tsubasa Kazanari of Zwei Wing Hospitalized due to Overworking." which, understandably, confuses Hibiki.

"Controlling information is one of our jobs." Ogawa says, making his presence known to the wielder.

"I'm sure Kanade and Kana already told you about Tsubasa and how she's finally awake," Serena adds, standing beside her superior, "However, she'll still need to stay in of Section Two's medical facilities while she fully recovers."

"Unfortunately, this means the Zwei Wing concert later this month will be canceled." Ogawa continues as he and Serena sit down on the seats next to Hibiki, "Now then... how should I apologize to the fans? Would you be able to help us think of something?"

Hearing this, Hibiki begins to feel bad. Seeing this, Serena instantly jumps in to clarify her sensei's question, "W-wait! That's not what he meant..." Hibiki cheers up a bit after realizing her misinterpretation of what they were asking, "What Ogawa-sensei meant was, whatever you do, people will always be there to help however they can."

"I'm sorry about that. It wasn't my intention to blame you." Ogawa says, apologizing for the misunderstanding, "If anything, I think you can afford to relax a little."

"You two are so kind." Hibiki replies, before realizing what Serena said, "Wait, 'Ogawa-sensei'? Are you training under Ogawa-san, Serena-san?" She proceeds to ask, receiving a nod from her fellow wielder.

"That's right. From what Kana told me, it seems that you two are training under Genjuro-san." Serena states, earning a similar nod from Hibiki.

"He's an amazing sensei." Hibiki says, remembering all of the fun she's had training with Genjuro and Kana. "If anything, I do feel better now. Thank you both!" She continues, bowing to the two agents, "I'll do what I can to get some rest before the mission!" With that said, she heads off to get some sleep.

"If only Tsubasa could be like Hibiki in that regard..." Ogawa states, Serena nodding in agreement to her teacher's words.

Kana and Hibiki's POV:
The Durandal escort mission

Standing outside the base, Kana, Hibiki, Kanade, and several other agents listen to Genjuro and Ryoko as they begin their speech. "We've set up checkpoints, under the pretense of finding the assassin of the defense minister." Genjuro said, referring to the assassination that transpired yesterday, "We're heading straight for the Memory Ruins! Kanade-kun, you and Kana-kun will come with me in the helicopter on the chance we run into the girl in the Nehushtan armor. Hibiki-kun will go with Ryoko-kun and the relic."

The three girls nod in agreement, "I call it 'Operation: Keep the Road to Yourself'!" Ryoko chimes in, giggling with excitement.

Soon afterwards, everyone goes to their positions, Hibiki and Ryoko in her car while Genjuro, Kana, and Kanade get on the helicopter. Everything goes smoothly for the moment, until all of a sudden, the bridge the cars are on starts to break on one side. "What in the world?!" Kana shouts as the bridge breaks, causing the drivers to avoid the destruction, one of which was unable to maneuver in time and the agent in the car fell to their demise.

"We're under attack. We don't have a visual, but it has to be Noise!" Genjuro says into a headset mic, alerting the drivers.

"But where are they coming from?" Kanade wonders aloud, before quickly receiving an answer from a car getting catapulted by a stream of water from under the road.

"The Sewers!" Genjuro shouts, reaching for his headset again to alert the drivers, "The Noise are attacking through the sewers!"

This continues as the other agents are shot up by other sewer grates, leaving Ryoko's car and the car in front of them as the only ones left on the road. "Genjuro-kun, aren't things getting risky?" Ryoko asks through the radio, "If an explosion happens at the pharmaceutical factory up ahead, Durandal will..."

"I know!" Genjuro replies, "The reason they're only targeting our cars, is because the Noise are being controlled to avoid damaging Durandal."

Kana gets an idea, "What if you went towards that factory, Ryoko-san?" She asks, speaking into her own mic, "If they're trying to avoid damaging Durandal, then taking it somewhere dangerous could limit their options!"

"What are the odds?" Ryoko asks Genjuro.

"I have no idea! But Kana-kun's idea might just work!" Genjuro answers, "Kana-kun and Kanade-kun will rendezvous with you two there! May Buddha protect you!"

Just before arriving at the factory, Noise jump out from the sewers on the car in front of Hibiki and Ryoko. The agents quickly eject from the car as it crashes and explodes, causing the Noise to fall back from the flames, "Just like Kana-chan thought!" Hibiki happily cheers, before the car suddenly flips over, spinning uncontrollably. Once they stop, Hibiki and Ryoko get out of the car, the former of which does what she can to lift the heavy suitcase containing Durandal, "Ryoko-san, this is really heavy..."

"Then let's leave it here and run." Ryoko suggests.

Hibiki instantly turns to Ryoko to retort, "We can't do that!"

"No, I guess we can't..." Ryoko replies, realizing it was a dumb idea to begin with.

Immediately, Noise rush at the overturned vehicle and cause it to explode, causing the girls on the ground to run from the explosion. "We can't see anything from up here," Genjuro states, "It would be too dangerous to drop you two in blind on the chance they'll ambush you on the way down."

Hearing this, Kanade grows annoyed, "Dammit! We need to get down there and help Hibiki! We need to stop that Nehushtan thief!"

Not too long after the explosion, an orange light pierces through the smoke.

"Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron"

(Gekisō Gungnir begins to play)

Being saved by Ryoko's strange magical barrier, Hibiki transforms into her Symphogear and rushes towards the Noise. During the fight, she trips over her heels. In response to this, she decides to break them off. As she starts to destroy Noise left and right, her powerful punches and kicks causes the smoke the clear up, "I see Hibiki!" Kana shouts, finally able to see through the smoke, "Let's go Kanade-san!" Kanade nods in agreement, as they both jump from the helicopter, transforming as they descend.

Meanwhile on the ground, the Nehushtan girl is shocked, "Since when could she fight?" she questions aloud to herself, immediately throwing one of her chains towards Hibiki and lunging towards her, "Today, you're mine!" She shouts, as she kicks Hibiki, sending her flying.

"I still have yet to master my Symphogear." Hibiki says to herself as she falls to the ground, "How do I use my Armed Gear?" Hibiki crashes to the ground behind Ryoko.

Suddenly, Durandal breaks free from its case, floating in the air and shining with a faint yellow glow, "Is Durandal... Awakening?" Ryoko asks, shocked by the relic's abnormal behavior.

"So that's Durandal, huh?" The stranger says to herself, jumping towards the relic to grab it, "I'll just take that for myself!"

Just as she is about to reach the relic, she is immediately struck down by a spear piercing her leg as she is kicked down to the ground, "Oh no you don't, you thief!" Kanade shouts as her and Kana land on the ground nearby, "Hibiki! Get the relic!" She continues.

Hibiki instantly gets up to grab the ancient blade, causing the surrounding area to momentarily be enveloped in a strange light, shocking everyone. Once Hibiki reaches the ground, she stands still, raising the sword above her as its true form is revealed. "What did she do?" The Stranger asks, fearful of the power on display.

"That look on Hibiki..." Kana remarks, instantly remembering it from the night in the subway station when Hibiki went berserk, "Hibiki! Calm Down!" Kana shouts, pleading for her friend to quell her rage.

The stranger looks behind her to see Ryoko look on at Hibiki in awe. "Don't show off your power!" She shouts, using her staff to summon Noise to stop her. Hibiki turns around, eyes red with rage as she begins to bring down the sword onto the Noise and the stranger, the latter of which struggling to get up and avoid the attack due to her injuries from Kanade's spear.

"She's out of control!" Kana shouts, immediately rushing over to the stranger, grabbing her and getting both of them out of the way of Hibiki's attack, which made a giant explosion.

Once the dust settled, the stranger opened her eyes, surprised that she was still alive before seeing Kana standing in front of her with an open hand to help her up. The stranger slaps her hand away, "I don't need your pity!" She shouts, helping herself up and dusting herself off, "What? You expecting me to thank my enemy?"

"You're welcome." Kana sarcastically retorts, "I didn't have to save you from certain death, you know."

The stranger walks away from Kana, "Whatever. Either way, the next time we meet..." She turns around, pointing towards Kana, "You and that idiot you call a friend are toast. You got that?"

"You're wrong. The next time we meet, it'll end in us as friends." Kana replies, earning a scoff from the stranger, "We shouldn't be fighting each other. We can talk this out like normal human beings. We don't need to fight!"

"I'll admit, I was wrong about one thing..." The stranger says, making Kana smile, "You're both idiots." With that, she flies off, leaving a few Noise for Kana to easily deal with as a distraction.

"She's as cold as Uncle Leo is sometimes, I swear..." Kana says to herself with a sigh, "I should go check in on the others." Kana runs back to where everyone else was, finding Hibiki on the ground with Durandal next to her, Kanade offering a hand to help Hibiki up, and Ryoko is talking on her phone, cancelling the plan to move Durandal to the memory ruins, "Hibiki! You okay?"

"Oh? Hey Kana. I'm fine, but what about the other girl? I didn't kill her, did I?" Hibiki asks, worried about her actions in her blind rage. Her friend and classmate shakes her head. "That's good, I was scared when I couldn't see you or her after I came to." She says with a sigh of relief.

"Speaking of, Kana-chan. Where is that girl?" Kanade asks.

"After I saved her, she flew off, leaving some Noise so I wouldn't be able to focus on following her." Kana answers, saddened that she was unable to befriend the stranger, "Next time however, I'll make sure she won't get away!"

Kanade snickers, "I don't doubt she'll come back, just be careful if you run into her. We still have no clue what this girl can fully do." Kana nods in agreement. "Well, we should head back to base, I'm sure they can take care of the rest by themselves."

Kana's POV:
Astral Plane

Later that night, Kana and Hibiki went back to their dorms, but what Kana wasn't telling anyone was that her dorm had a portal directly to the Astral Plane, where she truly sleeps. "I'm back!" Kana calls out, being greeted by Serena and Lilith.

"How was the mission Kana?" Lilith asked.

"It was... interesting to say the least." Kana answers, unsure how to properly describe the events that took place. "That girl in the Nehushtan armor showed up again, using Noise to try and steal Durandal. Hibiki managed to fight off the Noise while we were trying to find an opening to join in and help her."

"Well, I'm glad Hibiki-chan and your training finally payed off." Serena adds, proud that Hibiki is able to finally hold her own against the Noise, "What about the relic?"

"That's the weirdest part about all of this, Hibiki alone managed to awaken it." Kana said, remembering what happened then vividly, "The strangest thing was that when she grabbed it, Hibiki went berserk and nearly killed the girl with it. Had I not jumped in and saved her, she would've been destroyed by Hibiki."

Hearing this, Serena received flashes of her past, specifically a younger version of herself standing in front of an unawakened relic, followed by a giant monster surrounded by fire, "Awakened... Berserk..." She mumbled to herself.

"Serena? Is everything alright?" Lilith asked, seeing Serena with a serious look on her face.

Immediately, Serena snapped back to reality, "Oh! Sorry, I thought I managed to remember something from my past. Unfortunately it was all too hazy to understand."

Hearing this, Lilith just shrugged it off, "Regardless, you must be tired after everything that happened out there today Kana." She said, heading to her room to sleep, "Goodnight you two."

"Goodnight Lilith!" The girls respond, heading off to their rooms as well. Before they left for their rooms however, Serena noticed Kana was rather quiet, that is to say, more than usual, "Is there something on your mind Kana?" She asked her sister.

"Oh, it's nothing too important." Kana replied, Serena raising an eyebrow in response, "...Fine... you got me..." She says in defeat, "It's just... it feels wrong to fight that girl. I feel like, if we could just talk, we would finally be able to stop all of this unnecessary violence. You get what I mean, Serena?"

The elder sister nods in agreement, "I understand completely, Kana. While I wasn't there when she fought you guys before, she seems like the kind of person that'll need a lot more than words to be convinced and change their ways." She says, causing Kana to look down, worried that the girl may never see eye to eye with them. "However, that doesn't mean it's impossible. Just do what you can, and eventually, she may come around."

Kana chuckles, looking at her sister with a smile, "Thanks, Serena. I know I can always count on you to make me feel better." She says, causing Serena to blush from the compliment. "Well, I'm getting very tired. Goodnight Serena!"

"Goodnight Kana." Serena responds as they both head to their rooms to go to bed.

A/N: To be honest, I was a little worried that this chapter would've come out later than I hoped since I had to wait for my PC to arrive at my new home before I could continue.

To be honest, I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for this chapter (as well as a few ideas for chapters 6 and 7, but that's all I'm gonna say for now.)

I don't really have much else to add here, so with that out of the way, see you in the next chapter!
