HELLO EVERYBODY

Yeah it's WhiteLightningWolf again and that's right, I'M NOT DEAD!

Basically after my last idea for a fic failed pretty bad, I gave up on writing to focus on school, and future college requirements, and now being a graduating senior in a pandemic, I kinda have some time on my hands. But I have had a bit of time to play some games, my big play being Persona 5 on PS4 (mostly due to his inclusion in Smash Ultimate). I fell in LOVE with Persona 5, am currently playing Persona 5 Royal, and after a while, I had an idea for a crossover fic that even surprised myself.

That's right, a crossover with My Little Pony, mainly the first Equestria Girls movie.

Now am I an avid fan of My Little Pony? No. Have I watched some of it? Yes. But after reading some other fics I had this idea and wanted to see what I could do with it.

Now most of this fic will be done in a third person POV, but it will be following Joker, or Akira if you will.

The first two chapters of this fic will be to gauge the reaction as my previous attempt at a new fic flopped pretty bad. So this will be just to test if people want me to continue this, if that is so please leave a follow if you wanna see more and maybe send me a review just to tell me what you would like to see.

Anyways I've talked long enough and I hope you all enjoy!

LETS GET ON WITH IT-man that feels weird to type after so long.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the properties in this fic, Persona is owned by Atlus and MLP by Hasbro.

My Little Phantom Thief: Equestria Girls Chapter 1

Mementos Entrance-November 10th 20XX

The entrance towards the tunnels of the collective unconscious of Tokyo, Japan looked as bleak and dreary as it's real world counterpart. Devoid of most color and hosting no notable pattern that could catch the eye, it was fitting that the subway tunnels would form the Palace of the Tokyo collective, as it was the place all would go when they would want to go about their daily boring lives.

Standing at the beginning of these tunnels stood an elevator that quickly opened to reveal nine beings all crammed into the tight elevator before quickly spilling out, all of these beings appeared to be human, except for one which had the form of a bipedal cat. These humans, looking to be the ages of high-school teenagers, were all wearing very colorful outfits that would seem to fit in at a comic book convention, but these outfits actually held the forms of their true selves.

"Jeez...Everytime I walk into this place, it just brings me down y'know?" Said one of the male teenagers, who had bright blonde, unkempt hair, they also wore a black jacket with its collar popped up, along with black pants which were held up by an ammo belt. The blonde male's outfit was topped off with a red ascot tied around his neck, grey pads on his elbows and knees, yellow gloves, and his signature mask, which took the shape of a greyish skull covering half of his face.

This blonde is known as Ryuji Sakamoto, also known by the codename of "Skull".

"As much as I hate to agree with Skull, he's correct. The dull color scheme does not seem to radiate any joy, or any emotion for that matter…" Another male of the group spoke up. This teenager had dark blue hair that was much better kept than Ryuji's, and wore a much more brightly colored uniform, wearing a dark blue jumpsuit with white boots and a white collar, which was also popped. The jumpsuit also had what appeared to be a red and white tail trailing off the back. Along with the outfit, this student wore a mask that resembled the features of a traditional japanese kitsune design.

This student is called Yusuke Kitagawa, who goes by the codename of "Fox".

"I seriously think it's impossible for you not to relate something to art in some way, Inari!". Said the shorter female member of the group with bright orange hair. Her outfit consisted of a black bodysuit with neon green stripes running up it, this suit clung closely to her body. She also wore a black pair of boots with green accents. Her mask took the form of a pair of black goggles with large orange lenses.

The shorter girl goes by the name of Futaba Sakura, or by her codename "Oracle".

"You have to admit though, Mementos does give you the creeps no matter how many times you see it." Spoke another female, who had blonde hair put up into two bushy pigtails. Her outfit left a lot less to the imagination, taking the form of a red skin-tight, latex suit with zippers running all across the body, with a cat tail clipped onto the back zipper. Complete with a pair of pink gloves. Her mask was very similar to Yusukes, but instead looked more feline and was one shade of red.

This girl is named Ann Takamaki, also known as "Panther" by the rest of the group.

"Along with all of the shadows, it really is most unsettling…" Said another girl, with auburn hair that puffed out of a large cavalier hat. The auburn-haired girl had definitely the most showy costume, showing off a light-pink blouse with a black corset, along with purple bloomers and black leggings. Her mask was a mix of black and violet that rested upon her face.

The female cavalier is known as Haru Okumura, also known as "Noir".

"I wouldn't imagine humanity's collective unconscious to be filled with happy imagery." It was the final female of the group's turn to speak, she had dark brown hair cut in a bob style and had a costume that would make most quake in fear. She wore a skintight, dark blue and black bodysuit with a leather breastplate, complemented by a long black scarf and dark, spiked shoulder pads poking out. Her mask appeared to be made of a metal material and left little light to shine on her reddish-brown eyes.

The tough looking girl was called Makoto Niijima, or "Queen" by her friends.

"It's only fitting that the look of the hearts of the masses would be as bland as everyday life seems to be for them." Said another male, who had long light-brown hair and wore a bright white outfit that seemed to resemble a prince, this outfit also had golden tassels and red accents along his costume. His mask was a bright shade of red and has a long beak-like nose extending outwards.

This boy was known across Tokyo as Goro Akechi, but to the rest of the group he is called "Crow".

"Mementos itself may be boring, but I'm sure there will be at least something when we get to the depths of it...I hope." This time the bipedal feline looking creature spoke, this creature had mostly black fur with white covering his arms and legs and patches of fur in their ears, along with the bottom half of their face. This cat-like being had a utility belt around its waist for tool storage, along with a yellow scarf. They wore a black mask that covered most of its face, but was able to show their bright blue eyes.

This creature is known as Morgana, or simply by his codename of "Mona".

Each of these teens had all met each other in what many would consider to be unfavorable circumstances. With each of them having their own personal demons they needed to overcome before coming together as a team. And none of them believe that they could have done it without the help of their leader and best friend, the last male teen who was standing by himself before turning around to face everyone.

"Well everyone, let's get to work. We still have some time before we send the calling card to Makoto's sister, so we need to prepare and get as strong as possible for the eventual fight." Said the black-haired leader of the team, who wore a long tail coat that went down to his ankles and had the collar popped, a high-necked grey vest, a pair of bright red gloves, and some brownish-black boots. To top off this outfit, the teen wore a birdlike mask with a white base and black circles where they eye-holes are.

This mysterious looking teenager was known as Akira Kurusu, otherwise known as "Joker", and the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.

The Phantom Thieves are a group known throughout Japan as vigilantes who are able to steal the hearts and desires of corrupt adults and make them confess their crimes to the world, which has lead to the Phantom Thieves becoming famous, or rather infamous for their deeds as their previous target, Kunikazu Okumara, or Haru's father, had a mental shutdown during his confession, causing him to pass away and led people to believe that the Phantom Thieves were ruthless killers and petty criminals.

After clearing through the Palace of their newest target, Sae Niijima, Makoto's older sister. They were advised by Akechi to wait for the 18th of November to send their signature calling card, which allowed the treasure, the manifestation of the desires of the Palace ruler, to appear and be stolen.

In the meantime, Akira had decided that the team should go into Mementos in order to fulfill some requests from the Phan-Site, a forum that allowed everyday people to make requests as to whose heart the Phantom Thieves should steal. This would also allow for the team to grow stronger in preparation for the final confrontation within the older Niijima sister's Palace.

"We've got about two requests for us pretty far down below, so let's aim to clear those out today. Is everyone ready?" Joker asked his team, giving them all a rundown of the situation. Everyone either replied with a nod or a verbal agreement.

"We've got your back, Joker! Just lead the way!" Skull yelled in excitement, Joker gave a soft chuckle at the antics of his best friend. He then turned towards Morgana.

"Sounds like we're all ready to go. Mona, you know what to do." Joker gave the cat his trademark smirk, and Mona flashed one in return before running onto the start of the tracks.

Mona then jumped into the air, performing multiple flips before a puff of smoke enveloped the cat, before the smoke disappeared leaving a gigantic black and yellow bus, with blue eyes for headlights in the place of where Mona had been. It had taken a while for everyone to get used to the fact that Morgana could transform into a bus, but they quickly accepted it when they realized they wouldn't have to walk through Mementos.

"Everyone hop on!" the Mona-Bus yelled out to his fellow thieves, who quickly piled into the bus, which with eight other members of the team, started to feel crowded. Joker quickly got into the driver's seat and looked back at everyone.

"You all settled back there?" Joker asked his team.

"With how you drive, Joker? I had better be." Oracle responded, having her seatbelt fastened tightly around her.

"Could your foot even reach the gas pedal?" Panther asked out of a mix of teasing and genuine curiosity.

"Can it! Before I make your phone go haywire!" Oracle yelled back.

"If all of your trips through Mementos are as lively as this, I might have to ask to come back before we send the calling card!" Crow said with a slight smile, as he was the newest member of the Phantom Thieves, but after they pulled off this next job there would be no need, as they had made a deal with Akechi (who is actually an ace detective), to disband the Phantom Thieves in order not to face any potential jail time in return.

"Hey, maybe if you enjoy your time we could persuade you to let us keep going on the Phantom Thieves…?" Skull had asked Crow with a hopeful grin, Crow still kept his smile, but gave a more serious answer.

"Sadly no, we made a deal and I expect you all to keep your end of the bargain." Crow replied, which caused Skull to mutter a few words under his breath. Joker laughed at their antics, cherishing them for the time they had left as the Phantom Thieves, he then turned his eyes back towards the tracks ahead of him with a smile before stepping on the gas.

"Let's go!" Joker yelled out as the Mona-Bus rode on into the tunnels before them.

Path of Adyeshach - 1 Hour Later

Joker and his team had all formed a circle around the shadow form of their target, which had taken the form of what looked like a red demon holding two swords above their head. This was the shadow of Yohei Kiritani, a man who had been being paid to kill people in the heart of Shibuya. They all had their firearms trained onto the shadow, who was staring them down.

"You damn brats! You seriously think you're any better than me? I kill to make a living, you all change the parts of people you don't like just to make the rest of the world like yourselves? Pathetic!" Shadow Kiritani yelled out to the thieves. Noir seemed hurt by this comment and spoke up.

"We only change the hearts of those who look to abuse others for their own gain, we don't take lives!" Noir yelled at the shadow, grenade launcher in hand.

"It makes no difference!" The shadow yelled before casting mind slice, which caused every member of the team to jump backwards, but not before Skull was able to get in a quick shot with his shotgun, causing the shadow to recoil in pain and stagger a bit.

"He's weak! Joker, finish him off!" Oracle had yelled from above, watching the fight from the view in her persona, Necronomicon. Joker heard the call and quickly grabbed his mask before ripping it off and calling out the name of his persona.

"Arsene!" Joker called out, causing a blue fire to erupt from behind him and brought forth a what looked to be a winged demon, wearing a red vest and top hat. This was the manifestation of Akira's true self, his persona, Arsene. The shadow looked up in horror as it knew what was going to happen next.

"Damn you all!" The shadow called out, but Joker gave no reaction to the Shadow's anger as he had Arsene cast Kougaon, which collided with the shadow, causing him to crumble to the ground.

Knowing that they had won, Joker's mask reappeared on his face while Arsene disappeared. The Phantom Thieves all surrounded the shadow of Kiritani and looked down on him, though he quickly got up.

"W-Wait! Listen to what I've got to say!" The shadow pleaded, although none of the Phantom Thieves wanted to listen, they knew they had to listen in order to get him to change his heart. "The people I kill are all criminals! They escape the law, and the police can't touch 'em. I'm just like you Phantom Thieves! I'm working to get rid of evil in this world! So let me go!"

Joker was disgusted at this mans comments, not only trying to justify taking another life, but having the gall to say that killing criminals is the same as forcing them to confess their crimes. Joker walked right up to the shadow with Mona right behind him.

"You're not the same as us…" Joker plainly said, Mona then walked to Joker's side and gave a scowl to the shadow.

"Sorry, but we're not the same. The Phantom Thieves would never murder people." Mona spoke up, causing the rest of the Thieves to nod, except Crow, who just closed his eyes but no one else noticed. Shadow Kiritani started to panic.

"N-No...Help me! I don't want to disappear!" The shadow yelled out in the hope that the teens would show mercy. But Panther was having none of it.

"How can you say that after you murdered so many people!?" Panther yelled out, who was quickly joined by Oracle.

"You better accept that you lost already, prepare yourself." Oracle spoke with a quiet intensity. The shadow hung its head in defeat.

"...Fine, do what you want. Remember though: evil that oughta be erased will just keep poppin' up after I'm gone." The shadow tried to get the last laugh, but Queen then stepped forward.

"We'll destroy evil in a way that's different from yours. You can disappear without worry." Queen used that last part in order to taunt Shadow Kiritani once more before the shadow faded away and forming a treasure, which Joker grabbed and took the form of a skill card for "High Counter". Joker turned back to the rest of the Phantom Thieves and spoke.

"Good work everyone, that was the last request on our list for today, and barring any other random ones, most likely our last in general." Joker said, though the last part he said with a hint of sadness, Crow gave a nod to Joker as he realized Akira was aiming to keep his end of the bargain. "Now that that's settled, let's head back to reali-"

"Wait a minute, Joker!" Called out Oracle, who was holding her goggles. "I just got a really weird energy reading on this floor, I don't know what to make of it." Joker just gave a look down to Mona to see if he knew anything as he was their Mementos expert, but Morgana just shrugged as he had no idea what this was. The rest of the Thieves gave quizzical looks towards their navigator.

"Where are these readings coming from?" Asked Fox, who had his hand on his chin. Oracle then looked to the right and pointed her finger across the tracks.

"Over there!" Oracle said, the rest of the team turned to see what looked to be a mirror across the tracks from the platform they were on, a sight that left the Phantom Thieves confused. The most that they had ever seen in Mementos was a train carrying many cognitive passengers.

"Uh...is that a mirror?" Skull asked the team navigator, who shrugged her shoulders.

"That's what it looks like...but the energy it's giving off is off the charts!" Oracle said, all while dumbfounded at what she was seeing. Mona was examining the mirror as best as he could from their distance, he then looked up at Joker and gave a smirk.

"Well, wanna check it out Joker?" Mona already knew the answer when he saw Joker look at the mirror and flash his trademarked smirk.

"Let's go!" Joker replied as he and Mona ran forward, checked to make sure there was no train coming their way, and then jumped across the platform to land only a few feet from the mirror.

"Be careful, you two!" The duo heard Queen yell from the original platform, Joker and Mona took her words into account and looked over the mirror.

As they stared ahead at their own reflections in the mirror, Joker took the time to notice the framing of the piece. The frame seemed fairly detailed, having a black frame with grey etchings around it, along with some red gems all around the frame. What made this mirror even more interesting was the fact that, despite this mirror obviously not being one of the many treasures they would find in Mementos, it still gave off a slight golden glow that Joker would see around many of the treasures they would find in the Palaces. Joker also felt the raw energy coming from the mirror, recognizing that this was what Oracle's sensors had been picking up.

"Find anything, you guys?" Joker heard Panther yell from across the tracks. He turned around to her and spoke.

"I definitely feel the energy coming off of this thing, but other than that I have no idea what it does, or why it's even here…"

"Joker, what happens when you touch the glass?" Crow requested of Joker, holding a hand to his chin. Joker thought there was no harm in giving it a shot, so he turned around and slowly reached his hand towards the glass. And once his finger met the surface of the mirror, instead of being met with glass, his hand nearly went through the mirror as the glass actually seemed to ripple from his touch, like dropping a pebble into a pond. Joker heard the gasps of his teammates behind him as he immediately pulled his hand back.

"D-Did you all just see what I saw?" Skull asked the rest of the group, Oracle was quick to make a deduction.

"That's no mirror...That's a portal!" The young girl yelled out, not out of fear, but excitement.

"A portal…? If that is the case, I have to wonder where it leads to?" Fox asked, knowing that nobody there had an answer.

"I don't know...but it's probably best if we leave it alone for right now. Right, Mona?" Joker said as he turned to his feline companion who was just staring at the mirror in awe. Joker was confused as Mona seemed to be in a trance-like state over the object in front of them. "Uh...Mona? You ok?" Mona didn't even look back at Joker, as he could only be heard muttering something.

"T...T-Tre...Tre…" Mona had stuttered out, at first Joker had wondered if his teammate was ok, then he remembered that the mirror had been giving off that golden glow, and he remembered what it reminded him of. Now knowing what Mona was about to do, one thought went through Joker's head.

'Oh no…'

"TREASURE!" Mona yelled out loud, causing most of the thieves to jump back in surprise as Mona jumped up in the air. "I just can't help myself, I have to have it!" Mona said, unable to control his excitement. That's when the cat did the unthinkable.

Mona had jumped towards the mirror.

Joker and the rest of the Phantom Thieves could only watch as Mona dived towards the mirror, and as soon as his cat-like body made contact with the surface, he had already gone straight through the mirror, a large ripple forming where Mona had just dived in. The thieves just stood there with their mouths gaped open at what they just saw. Noir had been the first one to speak, or more like yell.

"Mona-Chan!" Noir yelled out as she rushed across the platform and landed next to Joker, the rest of the thieves followed suit and stood in front of the mirror.

"Damn it! It's always something with that stupid cat!" Skull angrily said, wondering how Mona could call him stupid, even though he pulls this.

"We need to go in after him. Right, Joker?" Queen asked the leader, who was just calmly looking at the portal Mona had just launched himself through. Joker took a deep breath before he gave his answer.

"No."

This caused each member of the thieves to look at their leader in shock, they never knew him to abandon a teammate, especially one as vital to the cause as Mona. Joker then turned to Queen and continued his thought.

"I'll go in after Mona, you all need to stay here and keep watch of this mirror. We don't know what's on the other side of this portal, but we also know that this mirror could possibly break, leaving us stuck over there. I need you all to keep this mirror intact until I come back with Mona." The team looked at their leader, shocked that he was willing to dive right in after their friend to save him from an unknown land.

"Joker...I-" Queen had started, but had been shut up by Joker, who put his hand on his shoulder.

"I'll be fine, Makoto. I promise." Joker said, closing his eyes and smiling at the honor student, who then blushed in response at the use of her first name, not just because they were in the Metaverse, but because there was no honorific attached to it. Most of the team had smiled at the display, as many of them knew that Makoto had started to develop a crush on their leader. Makoto then looked back at Joker with a smile on her face as well.

"Ok then...I trust you." Makoto told Joker, who smiled and looked at the rest of the team.

"Alright, while I'm in there, Queen will be in charge. Am I clear?" Joker said before turning back to the mirror, ready to jump in after Mona."

"As much as I want to argue, Joker makes a point…" Yusuke said, sighing under his breath.

"Don't worry, leader! We'll hold down the fort for ya!" Ryuji yelled, giving Akira a high-five.

"I've seen the power you and Morgana hold, I'm certain nothing over there could harm you." Akechi gave a small chuckle, just now noticing how large Akira's hero complex was.

"Be safe in there, Akira…" Makoto said quietly, but loud enough for Joker to hear, who turned back to Makoto and gave another smile. This was followed by many other wishes of safety from other teammates. Joker nodded as he stood in front of the portal.

'Here goes nothing…' Joker thought to himself as he took a deep breath, Akira knew he had to find his friend in there no matter what, and he would bring him back.

With this thought, Joker jumped into the portal, leaving a large ripple where his body went through.

The rest of the Phantom Thieves stood by, unsure of what to do next. An awkward silence filled the air, as Ryuji was the one to speak up.

"So uh...what now?" He asked Makoto, who now had to watch over not just the portal, but the rest of the team. She wanted to play this as safe as possible.

"We just need to follow what Joker told us to do, so lets stay here and watch over the portal. That means no one should leave this floor." Queen ordered out, while Ryuji, who was still hungry for action with or without Joker, hung his head low.

"F-For real!?"

?

As Akira dived through the portal, he was immediately met with a barrage of spiraling colors and blinding lights, enough to give someone a headache. But the colors didn't matter right now, nor did the fact that his feet were not on solid ground and it felt like he was flying. He tried to look around for any sign of Morgana. That was when most of his senses returned to him, allowing him to hear the sounds of cries for help coming from ahead of him. Akira looked ahead and noticed the form of Morgana flying ahead of him, while flailing around and screaming.

"Someone! Help!" Mona screamed, Akira then reached his hand out, hoping to catch up to his partner.

"I've gotcha, Mona!" Joker yelled, causing the feline thief to turn his way in surprise.

"Akira?!" Morgana yelped in surprise, and suddenly his look of horror turned into a smile as his best friend had come to save him. But that look of surprise came back to both of their faces when Mona was enveloped in a white cloud, which quickly disappeared to reveal Morgana was back in his normal cat form instead of his Phantom Thief attire.

'What the…?' Akira thought to himself, when suddenly there was a bright flash of light around him, which faded away quickly. Akira then saw that his clothes had changed, he was no longer wearing his black coat and red gloves, but he was wearing his normal white button-up shirt, black t-shirt, and blue jeans, along with his bag he would carry Morgana in reappearing over his shoulder along with his mask being replaced with his real-world glasses.

Akira was brought out of his stupor when he looked up and saw a bright white light in front of Morgana that seemed to be getting closer to them. Morgana followed Akira's gaze and saw the light right in front of him. Morgana didn't have much time to react as he could only yelp before falling into the white light. Akira could only watch and brace for impact as he approached the light as well, he knew this was the other end of the portal, but where they would end up, he didn't know. But he could only think of one thing as light started to envelop his vision.

'Makoto, I'll be back before you know it…' Akira thought as everything around him turned white.

Then just as quickly, everything went dark.

?

The only thing Akira could feel as he started to regain his senses was cold, hard, concrete. He then started to open his eyes. Albeit, his vision was a bit blurry, he could still see the concrete he had been lying on, along with a lump of black fur in front of him he assumed was Morgana. Akira was able to pull himself up a bit and looked his body over, he had no visible cuts or scrapes, the only pain he was feeling was a light headache. Akira then managed to make himself stand up, still shaky from the headache he had, then he walked over to Morgana's form as he heard the sound of what Akira could recognize as Morgana's usual sleep talking.

"Ahhhhh...Of course...I'll carry that for you...Lady Ann…" Morgana said in between snores, causing Akira to chuckle at the cat's crush on their teammate. As much as Akira wanted to let Morgana nap, he knew he had to wake the cat up. So Akira knelt down to Morgana's face, pinched both of the cat's cheeks, and pulled them out wide, causing Morgana to jolt awake with a cry.

"Owwwwcchhh!" Morgana cried out as he stood up on all-fours. He then turned up to look at a smiling Akira. "Aghhh! That was a nice dream too!"

"Too bad. You can dream all you want when we head back home." Akira said as he turned his attention to a tall object standing to his left side, which appeared to be a large statue of a horse standing on its hind-legs, looking quite majestic, at least Akira thought so. But what was even more intriguing was the piece holding up the statue, as the flat side facing the two of them had multiple ripples appearing on its surface. Akira immediately made the connection.

"So that must be where we came out of, huh…" Morgana said as he walked to Akira's side, the student merely nodded in response. Akira then looked left again and his eyes widened in shock at the building standing before them.

It was a very large purple building, which had two ends of the building jutting out, one from the right and one from the left. Akira then noticed the front glass doors, a window with what looked to be a sort of symbol in it, and further above that was another glass pane with what looked to be a mural of a stallion. Then on nearly each top corner of the building what a large, golden, horse-shaped bust staring down below, each one wearing a crown. Morgana then jumped up onto Akira's shoulder to see the same sights.

"Wow…" Morgana uttered under his breath. "Whoever lives here, certainly uh...Likes horses." However, something about this building was real familiar to Akira, especially when he looked over his shoulder and noticed another statue, this time it was golden and shaped like a horseshoe, that had a singular letter in the middle. It was the letter "C". He knew this atmosphere all too well.

"Morgana...I don't think this is someone's house." Akira said to his feline companion, who just looked up and turned his head to the side in confusion.

"I think...this is a high-school." Akira said with certainty, as he started to notice a few similarities with his personal hell, also known as Shujin Academy. Akira wanted nothing to do with it. "Anyways we have no need to stay here, let's head back, Mona, everyone is probably worried about us." Morgana, sensing Akira's desire to get as far away from this school as possible, nodded and jumped back onto the ground as they both walked towards the portal again.

Standing in front of the object that brought them there, both Akira and Morgana just wanted to head back home. Morgana wanted to keep diving through Mementos and hopefully finding a clue to his past, and Akira just wanted to get the hell away from school right now.

Steeling their resolve, both Akira and Morgana dived forward towards the portal, expecting to be brought back to the tunnel of bright lights and colors.

But instead, they were met with nothing but pain as both Akira and Morgana smacked themselves head first into the portal.

Akira got back up and rubbed his head to ease the pain as he looked at the portal in utter confusion. Akira walked back up to the portal and tried pressing his hand through, but Akira's hand stopped as it met the portal's surface, creating another ripple, this time one of red and black colors. Akira stared on in horror as he started to panic.

'W-What's happening? Why can't we go back? We have to go back!' Akira thought as he started to push harder. Morgana was observing Akira's actions and started to making a connection to the ripples.

"Akira, stop!" Morgana commanded as the black-haired boy turned around, obvious anxiety on his face.

"Why?! We have to get back home!" Akira yelled, ready to try and charge through the portal but Morgana stopped him again.

"Take a look at the ripples you're making, don't they seem familiar?" Morgana asked, causing Akira to look back at the portal, and the waves of red and black did in fact seem familiar to him. Then it dawned on him, he just saw this same pattern not too long ago.

"Wait...That's…"

"Yup, the same kinda portal we see in Mementos when there's a powerful distortion nearby…" Morgana started, Akira knew right away that this was the same pattern whenever they found someone who's name was requested on the Phan-Site.

"But...If that's the case, why can't we go through? We always were able to before!" Akira asked of his Metaverse expert.

"I believe it's because this place has a powerful enough distortion to keep us trapped here until we can get rid of it…" Morgana explained his theory, and when Akira heard this it started to make sense. "But how can we get rid of-" Morgana started to say, but as he spoke, time seemed to slow down as Akira's vision briefly flashed a shade of blue, after that, the world seemed to stop, Morgana included.

This was another feeling Akira was too familiar with, he turned around and saw exactly what he had expected. Standing in front of him was a large blue cell door, along with two small figures standing outside in blue officer uniforms. Akira recognized these attendants as Caroline and Justine, the Wardens of the Velvet Room. Akira had been curious as to how they managed to find him here, but it didn't matter right now. Caroline was the first to speak, hitting a baton against the metal door.

"Hurry inside, Inmate!" Caroline yelled at Akira, using the nickname he oh so hated. Justine then walked in front of her, clipboard in her hand, and spoke.

"Our Master would like to explain your situation." Justine told the student as the cell door opened, prompting Akira to walk inside, but was glad to do so if there was an explanation waiting for him.

"He'd better…" Akira whispered under his breath as he entered the room, the door was then shut behind him.

Igor had a lot of explaining to do.

The Velvet Room

When Akira opened his eyes, he saw nothing else but one color. Blue. And he knew right away where he was. Rising up off of the bed in his cell, not paying any mind to the fact that his normal outfit was now a prisoners uniform, as this was now a normal occurrence for him. Akira then walked forward, once again cursing the chains around his hands and feet, limiting his movements. He then placed both hands on the bars of his cell door, which Caroline and Justine appeared in front of, and looked towards the long-nosed man, Igor, sitting at the desk in front of him.

"My, my...This ordeal you have found yourself in, is one not even I could have foreseen." Igor spoke, staring at Akira with his large, bulbous eyes. Akira's impatience started to show as Igor had just stated the obvious.

"Yeah, you're telling me! How do I get home?" Akira yelled at Igor, causing Caroline to hit his cell door with her baton.

"Don't speak out of turn, Inmate!" Caroline spoke, causing Akira to back off. Igor just shifted his hand to his chin.

"I understand your concern, after all you need to return to your own dimension to prevent the coming ruin…" Igor stated. With that line, Akira's eyes went as wide as dinner plates.

"Another dimension?"

"Indeed. That mirror you found was in fact a portal to this dimension you find yourself in. And as you can see, there is a strong distortion in this world that is keeping you from returning." Igor told the current prisoner, watching as Akira was slowly starting to calm down.

"That...That makes sense. So how can we get rid of this distortion?"

"I'm surprised you didn't figure out already, Inmate…" Justine said, shaking her head in disappointment.

"Yeah, you've done this enough times to know!" Caroline replied, confusing Akira even further. Igor saw this and decided to fill in parts of the blanks.

"Simply put, you must get rid of the source of this distortion. And you should know how to do such a thing…?" Igor asked, leading Akira towards the answer. When Akira figured it out, it was almost possible to see the lightbulb going off above his head.

"Are you saying there's a Palace here?" Akira asked Igor, who simply nodded.

"Correct. There is someone in this dimension who has distorted desires so strong that they are preventing you from heading back to your own." Igor told Akira, who paid attention with interest. Igor then closed his eyes. "However, the one who holds these distorted desires is beyond my knowledge, which means you must investigate this place and find the one blocking off your return."

"Alright, so I just have to find who has a Palace here, change their heart, and then we can head home?" Akira asked again, resulting in a nod from Igor. Akira was about to ask another question, but Igor beat him to it.

"And do not worry about your companions back home, time in this dimension passes faster than in your own. So while you may spend days here, only an hour may have passed when you return." This statement from Igor made Akira give a sigh of relief, who then looked back up at Igor and spoke.

"I guess then I should probably get going…" Akira took his hands off the bars and was about to leave when Igor spoke again.

"While I could not foresee this event, it should make for an excellent step towards your rehabilitation. I will be watching this unfold with great interest…" Igor said, just making Akira nod, causing Caroline to speak again.

"It's time to go, Inmate. Get to work!" And with that, Akira closed his eyes again.

?

When Akira opened his eyes again, he saw that he was standing in the same spot he had been in when he first walked into the Velvet Room. He turned around to see Morgana still starting at the statue, pondering how to get past the distortion. Akira knew he couldn't tell Morgana about the Velvet Room, so he just had to tell Morgana what he knew as secretly as possible.

"Morgana…" Akira said, causing the cat to turn back to his best friend, who just turned towards the school in front of them. "I think that someone here has some distorted desires powerful enough to cause that distortion." Akira told Morgana, though he was afraid that Morgana would question how Akira knew this information. Morgana instead just pondered what Akira had told him and thought it over.

"That...actually makes sense!" Morgana said as Akira breathed a mental sigh of relief. "And if we are able to change their heart and get rid of their desires and change their heart...the distortion would go away, and we could head home! Brilliant thinking, Akira!" Morgana said as Akira just placed his hand behind his head, knowing that the idea was in no way his own. Akira then set down his bag, allowing for Morgana to climb in before putting the bag on his back, allowing Morgana to pop out and look over Akira's shoulder as they turned towards the school.

"I guess if there's anywhere to investigate, this is probably the best place to start…" Akira said, dreading the fact that he was going into a new school for the second time this year.

"But we won't have to be here for long, we'll be back in Mementos before we know it!" Morgana encouraged the student.

"I hope you're right…" Akira said as he started to walk towards the front door of the school. Once Akira reached the door, he was about to enter when he noticed a plaque right next to him. When he looked at it, he saw the plaque's writing was entirely in english!

Thank goodness he spent enough time with Ann and in his studies to be able to read and fluently speak english like a second language.

Akira read the plaque over and understood that what was written there was the name for the school he was about to enter, Akira said the name out loud to himself, thinking the name was quite strange to him.

"Canterlot High"

AND DONE!

Well, I think that went pretty decently. But I want to post the second chapter along with this one so it can get started on the main point of the plot so people can sort of give their reactions after they both come out.

But right now, I guess it's time for a little explanation as to where I've been and some other things. But I won't go on a whole tangent.

Basically ever since I tried writing that Flash x FoZ fic, and it failed, I had mostly given up on writing. I tried creating a few different stories but one thing kept getting in my head that would stop me, which was the thing that was the most complained about thing in my previous fic. "How can I make this story original?" and with this one, I think I've found it. I've laid out a plan, and now that we're in quarantine (This was written during the pandemic obviously), I had time to write it. Other than that I've mostly been preparing myself for college, which I move in during the fall and I'm excited to get down there and study, but I do wanna try and keep writing.

That's all I got, really. Hope to see you next time!
