When Steven is able to get up, he goes straight to Dipper. "Dipper! Dipper! Are you ok?!" Mabel joins Steven, looking at his brother, in a bit of fear. As soon as Dipper gets up, he says, "No! I'm not ok!" Steven and Mabel gasp. "Look, this wouldn't have even happened if me and Steven didn't fuse! Then Steven wanted to stay like that, and so did Mabel!" Dipper said, pointing at both of them. "Wait, Dipp-" Steven said, before he was interrupted. "NO! Just, leave me alone." Dipper said, shoving his hands in his vest pockets. As Steven sighs, he looks to Mabel, who's looking to her side, biting her lip. "Come on. Let's get you home." Steven says, patting Mabel's shoulder.

When they got back to the shack, Dipper isolated himself in his room, not even letting Mabel in. Since the Stans were gone and the shack was closed, they were able to do whatever. But, it wasn't all that fun without Dipper. Mabel was in Steven's room, mopping. Steven pulled out his phone to get a text message from Connie. "Hey! I heard you fused with Dipper, that's great!" Connie texted. Steven got confused, he texted back, "Wait, how did you know? I only told Wendy." "She told me right after it happened. Remember, we gave each other our number." Connie texted. "Oh, right. Well, fusing with Dipper didn't go so well." Steven texted. "Oh, how come?" she texted back.

Steven looked to Mabel. She was walking out the door. "Where are you going?" Steven asked. "I'm going out for some fresh air." Mabel said. "I'll come with you." Steven said. "No. I'm fine. I'm gonna go alone." Mabel said. "Are you sure? I'm sure that you'd want some-" he said. "No! No. I'll be fine." Mabel said, still upset. "Ok. Be careful." Steven sighs. He forgot to text Connie back and wrote, "We started getting hallucinations and got real upset. I feel bad for the kid." "Oh. Well, we used to have those hallucinations, and we got over them. You guys should talk to Garnet." Connie texted. "Yeah. That's a good idea." Steven texted. "I'm gonna try and talk to Dipper. I'll see you later." he texted. "Ok! Tell me how it goes! Bye!" she texted, before turning off her phone. Steven sighs. Time to see if Dipper was up to talking to him now.

Steven opens the door to Dipper. He was practicing sword fighting. "Uh-hey?" Steven said, hesitant. "What do you want?" Dipper asked, still annoyed. "You...feeling ok?" Steven asked. "Great. Better than ever." Dipper said sarcastically. "Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have dragged you into that." Steven said. Dipper ignored him. He was that annoyed. Steven was about to walk out of the room, then they both heard a familiar scream. "MABEL!" they both exclaimed.

They both ran out of the shack, Dipper not letting go of his sword. They looked in the distance, there was a creature, gripping on to Mabel. Dipper had never encountered something like this, but on the other hand, Steven knew exactly what this was. It was a corrupted gem. "Dipper! We need to save her! We're dealing with a corrupted gem!" Steven says. "Oh no." Dipper says. Steven had told him about these before. "We're not going to be able to take on it alone!" Dipper

said. "Dipper! We have to fuse! It's the only way we can get Mabel back!" Steven said. "I don't know man." Dipper said. "GUYS HELP!" Mabel shouted. Dipper sighs. Dipper holds out his hand for Steven to grab. Steven grabs his hand and the both break into dance. Steven gem glow as they begin to fuse.

Stepper appears in their place. "Wow. This. This is how it's supposed to feel!" Stepper says. "Ok! We can enjoy this later! We have to save Mabel!" he says. Stepper runs off to help Mabel. "Stepper!" Mabel said. "Sorry Mabel, can't talk. Trying to save your life." Stepper says, not looking at her. He hits the corrupted gem with his sword. The gem shoves him to the ground. "The sword is not powerful enough! What should we do?" Stepper asked. Steven's side of the fusion had an idea. Maybe their two weapons were able to combine. He threw his shield in the air and pointed his sword in the air. "What are you doing?!" Stepper asks. "You'll see." the fusion said. The shield landed on the sword perfectly. The two combined into a more powerful weapon.

The sword was now pink and crystalized. There were vine patterns on the sword and the handle was a little like a fencing sword. "Woah." Stepper said, his eyes lighting up with stars. He grips the sword tight as he runs toward the corrupted gem without a trace of fear. He yells, "Hey! Over here!" The gem notices and runs towards him. He hits the gem several times and blocks it's attacks. He hits the gem in just the right place and poofs her. Mabel falls to the ground, along with the gemstone. "AHHH!" Mabel yells. "Mabel!" Stepper says. He manages to catch her and the gem. "Ahhh-oh wait, I'm not falling anymore!" Mabel said. "Are you ok, Mabel?" Stepper asks. She can't contain her excitement. "You guys were so cool!" Mabel said. "Hey, call me Stepper." the fusion says, smiling.

Mabel gives the fusion a big hug. Stepper blushes and hugs her back. "Oh! Right! So, what do we do with this?" he asks, holding the gem. "Here, i'll take care of it." Stepper said. He bubbles the gem and sends it off to the temple. They unfuse. "Your fighting skills were amazing!" Mabel said, running to both of them. "What can I say? We get the job done." Dipper said, high fiving Steven. "I forgot I had something to do!" Dipper said. "Ugh, practice?" Mabel asked. "No, spending time with you guys." Dipper said. "Aw! Dipper!" Mabel said, hugging her twin. "Alright, let's go home. I need a break." Steven said.

Note from writer: Aw, a happy ending! Now that ends the Stepper chapters! I can't wait to use this character more in the future! Alright, have a good day/night!
