All for One did something stupid. It was rare for him, but it happened.
To be fair, it had been a long time since someone that wasn't the wielder of One for All posed a legitimate threat to him.
So he elected to ignore Bunny's warning to a certain degree. He had already started the necessary work to make the payments she had requested. The shell corporations were set up. To continue, however, he would need to know a bit about the company he was paying. And yes, he could have made someone else do that part.
Unfortunately, he was also insanely curious.
Plus, Bunny had only said not to look into her. She didn't say anything about the company.
Yeah, he could admit to himself it was a poor excuse.
It's not like he sent spies or anything though.
He just googled them. He was aloud that much!
It turned out it was a moderately sized manufacturing company in America that made hospital equipment. What surprised him was that it was a subsidiary of a large company known as Dori Industries.
Which was...wow.
He knew Dori Industries.
He remembered Dori Industries from his youth.
He didn't know at the time how long they had been in operation. All he had known was they were big and popular. That's why it was such a big deal when the owner at the time, Yuki Dori, publicly came out in support of those with quirks. She even adopted some kids with quirks if All for One remembered right.
Ultimately, the support for quirks lead to a severe drop in business as well as threats and attacks. Ms. Dori moved the company to America, where there was more support for those with quirks. Business picked up enough for the company to survive.
At the time, there had been rumors that the company had started to do some illegal dealings. Several vigilantes had started to show up with high tech equipment. No one who was caught ever told where they got the stuff. Despite intense investigation nad a few undercover operations, the police were never able to find anything substantial.
America was the first country to legalize quirk usage for hero work. It wasn't a surprise to anyone who knew the country's obsession with fictional heros.
Within a year of that first policy, Dori Industries was officially making support gear for Heros. They were the first private company to do so.
The company was passed down through the Dori family. Eventually the headquarters was moved back to Japan. Though to this day they only market domestic products in Japan.
Most of this, All for One already knew. He was surprised to find the Wiki page actually mentioned the supposed illegal activities. One new thing he learned was that the company was still owned by the Dori family.
He clicked on the link for the Dori family. There was a surprising amount of information about Yuki Dori and her adopted children. There was less information after that, and virtually none after Theseus Dori, the man who moved the company back to Japan. He scrolled down till he came to Tenko Dori, the current owner of the company. There was a brief physical description and a birth year. Same as the ones before her.
All for One closed the page. His curiosity had picked up again, but he realized that looking into the people there was towing a little too close to the line Bunny had set.
He might look into it again in a few years. He had lived this long. He was patient man.
