Cameron Morgan is part of the most successful team of special agents the world has ever seen. Zachary Goode is part of 'The Blackthorne Boys' a group of assassins that, according to records, do not exist. They both have a mission. Their target? Each other. Catch me if you can.

A guy in a dark grey suit parked himself on the barstool placing his coat on the chair next to him.

'Bourbon. Neat' He ordered. A weary, troubled expression on his face.

'Rough day?' The girl behind the bar said. He nodded

'You don't know the half of it'

'Why don't you tell me?' She crossed her arms and leant on the bar. The man's eyes flickered down momentarily to the gap in her shirt where he could see a small slither of skin 'I've got time' She purred. The man smiled, knowing exactly what this girl wanted.

'When do you finish?' He asked, leaning closer. She looked to the side, at the clock, exposing her long neck in the process.

'I finish in ten' She flashed a beauty pageant smile. The man smiled back at her.

'I'll have another'

'Coming right up' The girl took the glass ready to fill up his drink, she turned around knowing the guy would be looking at her long legs and short skirt, what he didn't see was her slipping out a small blue vial and pouring the liquid in.

'That wasssss a sssstrong bo-bour-drink' The guy said as he stumbled out of the bar, his vision was very blurry and all he wanted to do was sleep.

'Easy does it' The girl wrapped the guy's arm over her shoulder, despite him being roughly twice her size, she was able to prompt him up with ease.

'Where are we going? Your place or mine?' He chuckled, leaning into the girl, the alcohol on his breath was potent. The girl laughed it off but led him to his car. She leant the man against the car whilst she opened the door, the man took this as an opportunity to feel her up, a decision he most sincerely regretted.

The girl grabbed his arm and twisted it at an angle that should be inhumane. The man yelped out in pain but there was no one around to hear him. The girl slapped some sort of patch right in the middle of his forehead. Within seconds he collapsed unconscious.

Cammie POV

I pulled the car into the warehouse and turned the ignition off. I got out of the car and stretched.

'Nice work, Cammie' Bex commented, giving me a high five.

'Next time, you're the sleazy bar girl' I made my way to the trunk

'Oh come on' she moaned 'You know if they even laid a finger on me, I'd snap their necks' I was well aware of that. It has happened. Twice.

I opened the trunk to find my target, Mr Neil McBride, snoring softly.

'If he wasn't a bad guy, he'd be kinda cute' Bex commented. I gave her a sidewards glance, she held her hands up in defence 'Don't judge my poor tastes'

I shook my head at my best friend.

'Oh honey, Cam will never judge you, but I will' Macey McHenry came around the car carrying some rope. I took it in exchange for his coat.

'Ew, polyester. Why?' She scoffed

'Wallet and phone are in the front pocket' I told her, Macey's eyes lit up

'Off to work I go!'

Bex and I managed to pick up Neil and tie him to a chair in the middle of the room.

'I'm going to need at least three showers to get the smell of this guy off of me' Bex gagged, stepping away, admiring her handy knotwork on his feet

'Sorry about that!' Liz Sutton appeared from the shadows carrying her tablet 'I may have put a little too much hallucinogenic into it'

'You think?' Bex said.

'It did the job, Liz. Thank you' I patted her shoulder. 'How are we for timings?'

'His cards and licence plate haven't been run yet. So we look good' Liz tapped away

'Great. Why don't you help Macey, see what you can find from his stuff? Bex and I will try the old fashioned way.'

Bex poured a bucket of freezing water over Neil. He woke up, in shock, straight away and began to try and free himself.

'That won't work' I crouched down in front of him. He froze and looked at me with venom in his eyes.

'You bitch' He hissed and then proceeded to spit at me, it landed a few metres from me. Pitiful.

'You need to tell me everything you know about the murder of Preston Winters'

'Who?' He asked. I glanced up at Bex and nodded. She pulled out a knife and began to play with it between her hands. Neil saw this from the corner of his eyes and panicked.

'I don't...I don't know who he is'

'Don't lie' I kept my voice calm and soft. 'You had a meeting with him hours before he died. And then, you cleaned out one of your bank accounts and ran. Why?'

'I don't know what you're talking about' He muttered. I sighed and looked at Bex. She moved over to Neil and placed the knife on his cheek.

'Does your wife know that you like to go to bars trying to pick up girls?' Bex taunted. The man looked at Bex then looked at me, pleading for help. I held my hands up.

'Don't look at me, I gave you a chance, to tell the truth. Now you've got to deal with her'

Bex pressed the knife into his skin. He whimpered as a small trickle of blood escaped his cheek.

'I...I don't know him...I mean I do...' He said. I raised my eyebrow, wanting more. 'I was sent...I was sent to get information. A name'

'Whose name?' I asked

'Someone he knew...someone he met in Boston'

Bex looked at me. I narrowed my eyes.

'Did he give a name?'

'No. He didn't'

'So what did you do after?'

'I left'

'So…' I stood up slowly 'You get sent to get a name off of an Ambassador's son, and when you don't get it, you just leave?'

'Yes. Exactly. That's what they told me to do' He said. I look at Bex.

'Do you believe this?'

'Not. At. All' Bex applied more pressure to the knife.

'It's the truth!' He whined. I stared at him for a moment. He wasn't trained, he was an ordinary guy.

'Who sent you?' I asked.

'Some guy I met in a bar. He offered me three thousand dollars just to ask him about who took the pigeons from Boston'

Bex and I froze.

'What did you just say?' I asked. Neil swallowed.

'I was offered three thousand dollars to ask that guy about who took the pigeons from Boston!' He exclaimed 'I thought it was a joke! Like something between friends! I didn't know that he'd end up dead!' He began to cry. Bex stepped away from him.

'I didn't know he'd end up dead' He kept repeating, over and over again.

Bex stood next to me.

'He's telling the truth' She whispered

'Preston tried to call me straight after that conversation. If I picked it up he'd-'

'Don't do that' She hissed 'We need to stay focused. Let's see what the girls have found'

We left Neil crying to find Macey and Liz busy at work.

'Anything?' Bex asked

'Apart from a couple of DUI's, some written warnings, he's a normal guy who was just in the wrong place' Macey said

'He was a mark. An easy one' I said 'Those DUI's were used against him. And considering how he eyed me up at the bar, it wouldn't have taken long to build some sort of leverage against him'

'But they offered him money? Why?' Liz questioned

'They're getting desperate' Bex said

'But they're getting close' I shook my head 'They knew about Boston, they knew about Preston and they know about the pigeons'

Liz's computer pinged. She whirled around and I could see the colour drain from her face.

'Liz…'

She jumped up, grabbed Neil's phone and stomped on it, shattering it into pieces.

'Liz…' I said again

'Someone's trying to locate his phone' She looked at us, fear in her eyes.

'I thought you said we had a few hours?' Bex noted.

'I did if it was the police, but someone managed to remotely turn his phone back on and tried to trace it. They can only do that if-'

'-if they're trained' All four of us said together.

There was a pause.

'We need to move. Now'
